Happy New Year to you! Where does the time go? I can’t believe It was
one year ago that Jordan and I left home and went to stay with Donnie
to begin planning for our reunion! I hope this year was as great for
you as It was for me and the rest of the New Kids. It has been so much
fun traveling all over North America. This Is the best country ever. I
am glad I got to see It all over again.

I survived the trauma of turning forty……. of course I’ll still lie
about my age. I’ve been doing It for so long I can’t stop now. I had
the best birthday ever. Sitting around the Four Seasons In Punta Mita,
Mexico with a small group of friends. This hotel Is one of the best if
you want to get away from It all and relax. It did take me a good three
days to let go and be able to enjoy myself. I’m never one to sit around
and do nothing but I was so ready to do just that. Went snorkeling off
the coast on a tiny island wildlife refuge. The water was a bit murky
the day we all went. It makes It kind of creepy when you can’t see far
into the distance. At one point I saw some large black shadows circling
beneath us. Convinced it was a school of sharks. I told the people in
our group that there are some cool fish in the direction of the
shadows. Hey, I didn’t know these people and I’d rather watch them
become dinner and not my friends. Swimming back to the boat we found
out it was a school of stingrays and not some hungry sharks. These
things were amazing, they were as big as I. We also had the opportunity
of coming across a huge sea lion asleep on the beach.
Amazing sights… amazing times… amazing food… amazing service…
amazing friends!

So here I am, back out in Los Angeles. Although it’s not snowing like
back home, it’s freezing cold! I guess the warm weather in Mexico
spoiled me. We are getting ready to film our third video next week,
than off to Europe for another go round. It has been so great to have
this time off. I got to go back to work for a few days and experience
what I’ve been missing. As much as I love doing the New Kids thing I am
itching to get back to my company. If only I could work during the day
and commute to our concerts every night I would have the best of both
worlds. That is impossible as we all know, so for now my main focus
will remain with you!

Looking forward to seeing you all again this spring and summer.

Just wanted to send you all a quick note! I haven’t blogged lately as time has been tight. I do however make it my nightly ritual to log on to our sight and check up on the NKOTB world. I see you are all still here. Glad to know when I get around to blogging again someone will be there to read it. Heading back to Boston this week! Mexico was a blast. If I had my way I’d still be there on the beach……..fill you all in on my adventures soon…..

Just wanted to take a second to say Happy Holidays to all of you!!!

Its been an amazing year for me and I hope it has been one for you too!

I hope in some small way- we may have done something to help bring a smile to some of your faces.

I can tell you that meeting so many of you, hearing the kind stories you shared, feeling the love from you, has brought so much joy to me.

I owe so much to so many of you.

I don’t want to get sappy here- but there were so many monents to look back on…

From Ping Pong Girl, to the Waffle House Girls, to my pal Ryan in Toronto, and on and on and on….

2008 started out as one of the toughest years of my life…. But damn it finished well!!!!

At holiday time… I am so grateful to all of you for that.

So now I gotta go on a mission to do the same for you in 2009!!!!!!!

I just finished my mad hunt for a Christmas tree…
It makes me wanna go back to New England, cut my own down
and drive it back to LA. You never know how long they’ve been standing there.
A week, two weeks? They look good and healthy in the lot, then
ya get ‘em home and set it up right over the heating vent and they are brown
in a week.

I have an affection for the folks working the lots. I’m pissed that I’m paying that much for a tree, so I start right in with the “highway robbery” jokes, thinking maybe they’ll know I’m on to them and give me a break. I’m not sure if that ever works, but its good for a few laughs and makes it easier when I fork over the money. Now, you must be thinking, you cheap bastard! But its not the money, its just the idea that I’m paying almost $200 (welcome to Hollywood) for something that’s gonna be dead in 2 weeks, plus break my back getting it in the house (I ain’t paying for delivery) and then the thing better look good or I’ll be furious the whole Christmas season looking at it. (Not as mad as my wife is when she is stringing the popcorn and cranberries- she loves how it looks, hates doing it).

But all these guys at the tree lots seem pretty honest. I believe them when they give ya the whole schpiel. And I know they work hard for that dough… standing in the cold all night, luggin’ trees on their back, standing them up for you so you can see it better, listening to you trying to talk them down in price.

Maybe I’m a little biased… My dad used to sell Christmas trees, when he was a laid-off bricklayer. He’d come home after long nights with the money frozen in his hand- my mother would have to pry his hand open. And then he’d fall asleep in the tub, he was so tired. He did what he had to do with 6, 7, 8 kids. What a schmuck I am to worry about anything at all. The question to him is always, “wow, how did ya do it with 9 kids?” And his answer is and always was, “Faith.”

May your tree be green. May your ass be warm. May your faith be strong.

Hey All….

It’s your man here- Donnie.

I know some of you are worried…

I know some of you are confused…

I know some of you have heard a lot of stories that I almost died…

I can tell you they are not true.

I did not almost die.

The truth is…

I actually did die.

Yes its true… I am dead.

I am no longer alive.

In fact I’m writing this from heaven (or is it hell?  Hard to tell with all the clouds around…..)

Anyway- I am sorry that I died behind the wheel of a car that never crashed… Never wobbled… Never even drifted into a stray lane.  I’m really sorry that I let so many people down by dying.  Please know that I wish I was still alive too but this dying this is kind of fun.

I left in my will that I want to be cryogenically frozen  so I can be brought back to life one day if medicine finds a way to revive me…. So maybe they will find a way to bring back my uninjured, unscathed, unscratched, yet somehow dead body before for our next tour.

And whatever you do… Please don’t look at the car that I was driving on that fateful night- the lack of dents and scratches mean nothing.  I did die.  I didn’t crash.  I didn’t almost crash.  But I did die in the non accident.

Pray for my family….

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for all your love and support through out the first leg of the tour. This is just the beginning of an amazing journey. I also want people to know I don’t need a rest. I am having the time of my life. I love meeting all of you in meet and greets. I love riding the bus with Donnie. I love the whole experience.

The only negative thing is missing my kids. I am looking forward to spending the Christmas break with them. My daughters have turned into the biggest New Kids fans. We have replaced Miley and the Jonas Brothers. My teenage boys have enjoyed every second of it and both have told me numerous times they are proud of me. It’s not easy balancing my kids, NKOTB, and Halcyon jets. Thank goodness for ichat.

I have so much to be thankful for. I am so thankful you guys are along for the ride. More shows in 2009 to come. Stay tuned.
