Hey All…
I know most of our communication lately is thru twitter…
However I also know that not everybody uses twitter and, quite frankly, sometimes the 140 character space that twitter provides just isn’t enough space to express ones self adequately.
That said…
I just wanted to take a moment and say a few things…
First and foremost I want to say thank you to all NKOTB fans! To the BH’s, the Soldiers, the “crews” and everyone!
The last two years have been so unreal and so unexpected that I sometimes wake up thinking it was all my imagination.
Yet it is real.
We are here.
And I must say…
The love and support you all have shown to each and every member of this group- both collectively and individually- is astounding.
Wether it was Jordans foot surgery or his various twitter campaigns, Danny’s work with the Komen Foundation, Jon’s singing “step 5″ or his amazing tweets, Joe’s “Let’s Get This” campaign or my own insanity at The Waffle House at 4 a.m….
You all have shown, each one us, the utmost love and support!
It never ceases to amaze me.
It is often said…
The New Kids are “great to their fans”.
And we often say in response “that is because we have the GREATEST fans”.
This has never been more true than in the downtime since The Full Service Tour ended.
(That is… IF you call it down time).
Since then… Each member has stayed in touch with many of you, through twitter etc, while at the same time taking on various individual projects.
Be it movies, solo music projects, charitable work, twitter contests, real estate projects or what have you…
Most members of The Block have been very busy and many of you all have been just as busy- standing right along side us- showing that fierce love and support that you always do.
Through it all… I want you to remember, as well as it is important that we too remember, that we are a unit.
The Block and its fans- We are a team.
Supporting each other, enjoying each other and enjoying what each other has to offer, is part of being teammates.
Myself personally…
I never really thought I would make music as a “solo” artist. Hell I’ve been off shooting a movie… And to be honest I don’t even particularly like that title attatched to my name- “solo artist”?!?!?! Strange for me.
But I must admit… I am thankful that you all allow me the freedom to act on my creative whims…
I write a song for fun…?
I send it out to you all.
You react to it…?
We all have FUN!
That is, was, and will always be my goal in the music business… FUN.
Having FUN, seeing you have fun and doing it in a way that allows us to all have fun together.
Doing everything I can to give back to you… What you give to me.
The success?
That is really just the cherry on top.
The amazing thing is-
There is so much more fun to be had.
Other members of The Block are creating and building and engaging you in their own ways…
It is going to be fun to see what they have in store for us!
And most important…
It is going to be fun to see what the world has in store and what WE have in store for the world in 2010 and 2011.
We have NOT stopped working, as a group, towards the future.
Working on ways to surprise you, entertain you, empower you and to give you as much joy as you can possibly take in!
“In the worst of times… We’ve had the best of times”.
Forgive me for quoting myself…
But that fact will never be lost on me.
We have been riding out some very tough times in this world together.
Army wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, husbands, soldiers, 9 to 5ers, single moms, brothers, widows….
You name it… We are all here together.
So blessed.
So fortunate to have something that bonds us…
That reminds us…
That no matter how tough things get…
It is always a blessing to feel free.
Music and love have that power.
Music and love are the core of who we are.
And who we will remain.

LOL! I was just thinking last night that we hadn’t had a good old fashioned Blog in a while. I have to say that I have been having the most fun not only the past year+ but in the last few months! I so appreciate the fact that all of you are willing to keep in touch with us and let us in to your lives personally and professionally. I never dreamed you would get back together let alone meeting you and getting to know you all better than I ever dreamed possible. It is my ABSOLUTE pleasure and joy to be a fan and a supporter of 5 of the most amazing, grateful, gracious men I could ever dream to know. You made mey cry but thats ok .I felt the love in what you said and it true. When wqe work together and do things for the right reason then all is good. When oyu work within the relm of wrong then it hurts your heart.SO I try to do things in a way that I like to be treated and done to me.

You are a man of many words yet people dont hear you.
If they did, this world would be SO much better a place… they could learn by
your example of what happens when you just show love. When you show that you arent above everyone else just because your famous. You are thanking us for what we do… but we do it simply because you are you and we feel an unreal connection. Whether it be a DM, a twug, a blog, a BT or even just a little twitter that comes at just the right time… its you connecting with us.
You are now and always have been an amazing person in my life and I appreciate all that you do. Its amazing to think that after 22 years of being beside you on this ride… that it is now so EASY to just talk with you.

I have alwasy realized that we all have a connection, however when it is put in words like that I truly see just how connected we all are. No other band, or individuals, make their fans feel like family as much as Ddub and NKOTB. There is only two words that work for this. THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for everything. WOW! I don’t even know what I can say after that. Just. . .wow. Speachless is basically all I can come up with. The bond that is between you 5 and the fans, and the fans to eachother is nothing like I’ve ever seen or expercienced before. I’m so proud to be apart of it.
As I was reading this, I started to get a little teary eyed because I’m so happy to be able to say that what we have is so extrodinary. It’s unreal how much love we pump out to eachother and I know it’ll never stop.

You are such a terrific person! You are all 5 terrific men who have some pretty terrific friends who have welcomed us into their lives too! Which is even more amazing people like Ethan, Mike, Armando, Rob and more they seemed to totally embrace us and our silliness!!! Thank you! I think someone else already said this, but each time you tweet or blog I feel like it is just for me. It sometimes seems like you can read my mind and say the exact right thing at the exact time I need to hear some words of wisdom…..you have them. I have been a BH since 1988, I was only 8 years old! I finally had the chance to do 5* this summer in Indy, DREAM COME TRUE! As I came around that corner and saw the 5 of you standing there I was instantly 8 years old again. It was amazing!!!! My husband and our three children have greatly benefited from having a Mom that has “found” herself again. I have the 5 bad brothers from the Beantown land to thank for that! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK!!!! I am loving what each of you are doing right now and can not wait for things to come! Ya know, I turn 30 in 2010, I am going to need a pick me up!

The return of familiar “friends” is just what I needed this past couple of years. Amazing thru so much hardship can come so much happiness…. I know you have heard it a million times but I am going to say it again THANK YOU!!
Divorce, custody, rough economy… the world is revolving in twisted manner but we have each other to escape from the harshness of it all.
I can’t remember life before this reunion. I started living again when you all came back in my world…

WOW…I know I’m already a sad sap, but you got me on this one today. Thank you so much for everything, the smiles, the laughter and the new sisters I have made. You always say how humbled you are, but you humble me as well. I can’t thank you enough for it all and I can’t wait to see what is in store! More concerts, more music, more smiles and more fun!! Oh Donnie Donnie DONNIE! You move me to tears EVERY TIME! I am so happy and lucky to be a part of this wonderful family. It has truly been the best of times for me, I personally have never felt so happy and free in my entire life! I am so excited to see all that you, Jordan, Jonathan, Joey and Danny have in store for the future. You are 5 of the sweetest, funnest, warmest human beings on this earth. And your fans - simply amazing. As a “new” fan (I “became” a Blockhead in February this year, long story) I have enjoyed traveling deeper and deeper into the NKOTB universe, and the fans - your soldiers - have been so welcoming to me and have so many stories and experiences to share. This is such a great post, Donnie. I have had such an amazing time since you guy “came back to us.” I am the only blockhead in my circle of friends and so I really have no one to talk to about all of my excitement. And when I do talk about it I get the laugh off. And I also get a lot of grief from my friends on twitter (user abjohnston). Things like, “You are always replying to one of the New Kids. It that all you do on there?” I usually reply with, “Well, if you don’t like it, then don’t follow me :)” They know I am very passionate about being a blockhead and they like to give me a hard time about it. But you know what, who cares? I love you guys and even if my friends here don’t “get it, ” I know that I have a whole community of awesome fans who do. You guys are the best and I am so thankful for how real you have all been with us and how much you all give of yourselves. The things you all do do not go by unnoticed or unappreciated. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. You all make each day a bit (no, a lot) brighter and I am more and more proud each day to be a New Kids fan. I love you guys and can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of us!!

Being a part of all of this with you has been amazing and fun. It’s made me not take life so seriously and just be me again. I tend to let things get to me and then when I think back to the concerts I’ve been to this past year and that I got to meet you a couple of times and the rest of the guys too, it makes me feel good inside.

I had no clue what amazing human beings I was staring at on those posters that plastered my four walls so many years ago…all I knew was I loved you. I have loved you guys for the last 20 years but that love has matured with all of us and now it’s on a much deeper level but it is still as pure as it was the first day. Wow Donnie,
I must say your words are so poetic at times I feel as if I can see them dancing and twirling around. Like you said in your blog in the worst of times there is always something positive that makes us even stronger. Last year after I had saw you guys on the Today Show (May 16th) the job I had closed its doors and I felt as if the world had sucked me in this blackhole with no escape. But, with some magic force I was going to see a positive light somehow. You gave up a promising movie career and Joey left Broadway Jordan struggling with his own music tastes and Danny putting a freeze on his solo career and even Jon leaving his relistate company and letting his peers do the work. That alone gave me the strength to move on. Last year was a blast and I can’t wait for more NKOTB surprises, contests or whatever each of you has instore for us. Can’t wait for 2010 and 2011 the group that made history when I was younger and now that I’m older I’m more excited than ever to be with this huge NKOTB family that I thought was no longer.
Thanks ever so much to my Five Brothers from Boston your love makes me fly even higher.

You amaze me.
I can sit on here and personally describe what impact the past year has had on me. But there is isn’t enough words. So I will quickly open my heart…for you to see a glimpse.
One year ago October. I not only got the opportunity to travel 5 hours by plane to Chicago to see my first NKOTB concert in 18+years…but I also had the opportunity to meet all of you! The begining of the madness… as my husband likes to call it. I realized after meeting you Donnie Wahlberg that you guys are not untouchable cookie cut bandmates out to make a buck of money on a reunion tour.
You guys and your staff made me feel as though I was a member of THE BLOCK. The access to you guys and your team was insatiable. I wasn’t treated as a fan…but as a long lost relative or friend by all. I also met numourous new friends on this trip that have not only become my family; but my best friends.
God put us all on this path together to find each other; I am sure of it. Since then the NKOTB has infiltrated my being. This meaning. I am a better person. I no longer worry about fitting in;as I fit in with all of you. I no longer need the newest clothes or accesories to impress others; I impress myself. I do so with a new found motivation to creativly be myself…no matter what!
The butterflies in my stomache at the thought of a concert or meet and greet are only the icing on the top of the cake. I am more than ever motivated to be a better me! I have begun to dive myself into my art work again. I have amazing friends I can laugh and cry with! I have travelled the world and gone to places I never would have seen otherwise. I have become more in touch with my spiritual beliefs. I am motivated to be healthier and happier.
This has all been a healthy distaction from my unhealthy obsessions. My husband and I have been trying to become pregnant for 14 months, I have no children yet…and had become completley ingulfed in the stress of the unsuccess. I started sinking into depression, ate unhealthy choices, stopped working out, stopped creating art and stopped socializing. I was begining to become a real mess. I was loosing what little of myself and my sanity I had left.
This year and the NKOTB experience have fully convinced me that “everything happens for a reason”. I put trust in God that it will happen for me. In the mean time I know that this is my time to be the best I can be. This is my time to indulge and treat myself. This is my time to share and connect with new people. This is my time to bust out of the cocoon I have been living in. My relationship with my husband has grown. And I do beleive he has fallen deeper in love with getting to know “the real me”. The one I have been hiding for so long!
So thank you Donnie Wahlberg. Thank You NKOTB. You do change lives, we are all here for a great purpose and there will always and forever be a section in my heart in the VIP section for all of you. I love you all. Dee-Anne

Wow. There are so many things I want to say, but I just don’t know how to say them. What a long way we have come together. I love each of you as much today, if not more, than I did at 11 years-old. I would not trade this journey for anything. I can’t think of any other group that treats their fans so well. Throughout all of these years, you never forgot about us. I look forward to seeing all the wonderful things the future has to bring. You have brought me through of some of life’s toughest challenges. I could never say thank you enough. I have also met some of the most wonderful people. I literally have friends all over the world now. And, honestly, they are so much more than friends. We really have all become 5 brothers and a million sisters. What an amazing blessing.

“What I took away from my conversation with Donnie Wahlberg is that he is prolly the most GRACIOUS and POLITE man I have ever met. I have NEVER in my LIFE met anyone like him. I can say this over and over and I know that noone will ever grasp the true experience without experiencing it for themselves, but I will say it anyway. He looked me DIRECTLY in the eyes the ENTIRE time I talked to him-I don’t even think he blinked. He never glanced away-not even for a SECOND. He made me feel like we were the only 2 ppl in that room. God, I love you, Donnie! You have outdone yourself! Those words touched my soul. So true, what you said. So simple and yet so overwhelming each and every day.
I wouldn’t want to live without the Block or my Blockhead sisters anymore. I can rely on them and you. It never ceazes to amaze me how much you guys love each other. How much you love us. I was lucky enough to feel your love in person and it was one of the best moments of my life.
I am so proud of you, proud of what you have done in the last two years. What you still do. All of you, but especially YOU. Loads of women are cheating on their favourite guy with you!
Other artists may have great fans, too. But they don’t have Blockheads.We are one of a kind. We only became what we are today through your love. How many fans get an end-of-tour-concert with 5 grwon men crying on stage?!
There is so much I want to say and I was planning on winning the sleepover contest, so I could tell you some of it. Unfortunately a missunderstanding on my side concerning the due-date and technical difficulties with the camera/computer connection prevented me from entering the contest on time so I will have to wait till we meet on another occasion.
I am so thankful for the Internet and especially Twitter. It helps us to let the love grow even bigger. It is so real this time around, no teenage dreaming/ idolizing you, you are not out of reach anymore.
I am also thankful for all the sacrifices you made and without one of the biggest sacrifices of your life the New KIds probably wouldn’t be here today. So thank you is just not enough. But that’s all I can come up with:

First, thank you for the great blog, for sending tweets, twugs and twisses to your fans both as a group and individually. I recently got one(JonKGirl4ever) and it was a great feeling.
I can’t explain how fantastic this time with you and the whole group as been. You all have brought light and joy into my life. Not to say my man and son haven’t but you guys make me feel young again and energized.

I don’t even know where to begin to express to you what this blog means to me and all that you’ve done these past two years have meant to me. It would take forever and a day to express how thankful I am for everything. Twenty years ago when I had your posters hanging up all over my room and I was rocking some LA Gear, crimped hair and that ever fashionable side pony tail, I never ever EVER imagined that I would get to experience the kinds of things I have this time around. Honestly, I never knew how *special* you guys really were to me until I saw you all on The Today Show in April 2008 announcing that you all were getting back together. I sat there in my living room and cried like a baby. I was so overwhelmed at that moment, so giddy and so excited for what was to come. You all came back at the perfect time for me. My grandmother had been murdered in January, just a few months before and I was almost at the point of needing to be admitted to a hospital for my depression. I will forever be grateful to you all and will always credit you all for truly saving my life. You brought me back and not only did you bring me back from a very dark, sad place…you brought back the me that I hadn’t seen in years. There was a renewed spirit in me.
After meeting you in New York City the night before THE BLOCK was released changed my life even more. From the phone call (that well turned into a voicemail because I was busy texting when you called lol-oh and you did “fuss” at me for not answering your call lol), the time spent with you talking, hugging and just taking it all in…truly amazing. You continue to amaze me everytime I see you. You are gift and we are blessed that you give so much of your heart and your time. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for us.
I LOVE YOU FOREVER, WAHLBERG. You’ll always have a special place in my heart.

Hi Donnie,
I just realized, while I was reading your blog, that The Block is the most appropiate title ever. You said that The New Kids and its fans are a unit, a team. And it occured to me that we are a block! We are a solid block of concrete love and positivity.
I have had a dark life, but you were always in it. When feeling ugly I remember something you said about your brother, Mark; “one day he will realize that there is more to a woman than tits and ass” which has inspired me all this time.
I have also come to realize that I really need to meet you. All the ladies on Twitter tell me that you are the nicest, gentelest man they have ever met. Since I only seem to be drawn to jerks, I have decided that I need to meet a decent guy, just once! LOL
Well, I know you love me, eventhough I still find that difficult to comprehend, and, like all others, I love you. Deeply!
On that note; I made the mistake of pissing you off once on Twitter. I’m pretty sure you have forgotten all about it, but it’s still eating at me. I was the one who said that you only loved a third of us, as you named only 4 zodiac signs, but forgot to put the LOL at the end. I was just teasing you on not knowing the rest of the signs just then, but know you really, really love us all. There is not a man alive who loves more women than you do, and I hope you forgive me. Donnie thanks so much for the positive and encouraging words. I personally don’t know how I could have made it through the past two years without the NKOTB reunion. Between this terrible job climate, family drama, friends going through break ups and make ups and losing their own jobs — this has really been the toughest time. I am so thankful NKTOB has given me and my friends memories that allow us to get through and have hope. Please keep it going! I don’t know how we got along without NKOTB for so long, but I’m so so glad you all are back. Here’s to 2010 and 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The past year has been an incredible journey full of laughter,tears,joy and above all unity. We all came together to support an outstanding group of talented men with the biggest hearts on the planet. There are not enough thank yous in the world that could represent my feelings towards NKOTB as a group. I used to be on the boards wishing somehow you could see how much we appreciate all of you in our posts. My life has been a rollercoaster from back in the days and remember when you said girl please dont go!! ive gone on to be a mum of six and have been delt some rough times with them, including and up and comming op for my daughter to repair her pallet. But through the years i have always remained a BH, i recaptured my youth back in january at the nottingham date of the tour, and boy the dream just keeps going i love following you all as a group and as individuals too, and hell, I GOT IT/ RISE AND GRIND i love it.

I can’t wait for 2010 - 2011 to see you back in the UK would be wonderful we have been working hard on the radio stations here we want I GOT IT to do well here in the UK.

I want to thank you and the guys for keeping in touch with us via twitter, blogs, etc. The reason we are such amazing fans is because you all treat us amazingly. I’ve never know a band to treat their fans like family and friends instead of keeping us at arms length. We grew up loving the 5 of you and to so many of us, you really feel like old friends. We feel like we know you even if we’ve never met you. Thank you for never being arrogant or distant to your fans like so many mega-celebrities are. I was amazed that after going Hollywood on us that you still wanted to come “Hang Tough” with your old Blockheads pals! That speaks volumes to your love and respect of us and we are soooo grateful! You (all 5 of you) have always been so gracious and loving to us and that is the key to your success. Just keep it up and you will have a cheering section for life!

Words cannot express the joy that you bring to so many people, especially me. I have been waiting for the day that you guys would come back into my life. I know it is cheesy to say that but the days when I was younger and fell in love with NKOTB you got me through so many hard times. It was the time of my life. I try to explain that to people but they just don’t understand. Now to 2009, I am a single mother of an awesome 13 year old. He is my life, my love and I would do nothing to change the situation that I am in. I have dedicated my life the past 13 years to being a mom and really put any fun in my life on hold. I made a commitment to my son that I would be the best mom I could be and also looked at how I could better my life by going to school, getting a better job and helping others. I have grown to love volunteering my spare time anywhere I can help and make a difference. When I heard that you guys were coming back, I have to say, it put a spark back into my life that I have been searching for for a long time. Although the time that I spend with my son and the time that I spend helping others is one of the best things that I have ever done in my life is what has kept me going all these years, you gave me something to look forward to. Although I could not afford to go to every concert in the area, afford VIP tickets or anything like that, I was able to make a few shows. All I can say is… AMAZING… Now, even though there are not many events happening right now, I do follow you on twitter as well as the other guys. I even respond to your tweets and your twugs..
It’s hard not to get involved when you make us all so happy. Please don’t ever leave us again! you are absolutely right when you say that we are a family. LOVE YOU!

I am still in shock that you all got back together an I am so excited cause when you all. Reunited it was a great time in my life an at a time when I need some good news. Cause believe it or not it brought back some great memories at a time. When I need them too see I lost my mom to lung cancer on Apr 26,08 an had been so depressed. But like before listening to your guys music as helped me. Through alot an not matter my mood your guys music can help me smile so thank you all. I will always be a fan of you all wether it be as a group or on your own projects.

Oh Donnie- I remember as a teenager back many years ago having this huge picture of you over my bed. Every night I would kiss that picture of you and dream of one day meeting you and falling head over heels in love. Not much has changed since then- lol. I have many fond memories of those days, one I treasure the most is the ONE time I got to see you live. Furman University, South Carolina- me -first row, wearing my bobby brown pants and my big poof and crying like a baby while you watched and laughed. lol. I tried my best to get you to just look at me, and you did (even though you were laughing) and thats what I still try to do today. You know- you are only 7 years older than me-lol. Totally could happen. Love you!

Your love and devotion is immeasurable. I do feel it you when you say we’re a unit…Only us (you guys, the fans) can understand what bonds us together, and why our love is so strong. I hope, more than anything, that you’ll stay with us forever (as a unit!), but I’m already more than greatful that you all came back and proved a million times over that I was right to cherish you from the bottom of my teenage’s heart. OK, here I go… I don’t know if you’re even gonna read this message among all these hysterical women, I hope you do and pay attention to what this Mexican MALE ex-fan has to say.
Back in the days I remember I idolized you (is that the word?…anyway…) and when you produced your brother’s albums, I thought you were the coolest, buy the Lord and Hip Hop got in my way and my “idolizing” days ended, then I saw you making movies and honestly, I’m not precisely the biggest fan of your filming career. In the “you gotta believe” days I really wished you got more involved in music and made a solo album, I think if you had done that maybe my opinion about you as a recording artist wouldn’t have changed.
many years later I got an NKOTB album that I had stopped waiting for like 10 years before,my opinion is that it was a really nice surprise,you may always receive “I loved your album” shrieks, but let’s face it, these women would praise you even if you recoded farts.
Now I hear “I got it” and I’m really excited about the idea of having a Donnie D’s album (not Ddub… what the heck is that?) in my opinion the song is OK, but it sounds as you say, something you did for fun, I got a new concept for you, how about making it for art? that would be interesting, wouldn’t it? com’n Don, whatever happend with that love for hip hop you claimed to have?, whatever happend with that “American dream” or “wild side” message you once spread?, were the screamings bigger than that?

Hi Donnie. I´m from Spain and my english level is not good, so I´ll try to do the best I can. I´m 32 years old and I was a fun of NKOTB since “Hangin’ tough” until “Face the music”. I was a boy who enjoyed a lot with your music and videos. Dancing the way you do I could get some girls to… you know. Now I’m not a boy anymore, like you, and I enjoy with other things: for today i’m teaching philosophy in the university and I listen other kind of music, but I’ll always have the bad feeling that you never play in Spain (except in a TV show in Madrid). I really don´t know if for today NKOTB can full with fans a football stadium in Madrid but for sure I would go to see you guys. Donnie: its possible NKOTB in Madrid?

Wow! Words cannot say what you all have done for me. I am so excited to see what you all have in store for us in the coming years. It has been a great ride, and I cannot tell you how cool it has been to share my favorite band in the world with my kids as well.
I was tied up on the net and was not able to get through to get booked for the cruise like I hoped (especially after reading Jon’s blog on here) However, I am not giving up, I will get my facetime.

What can I say? I have been a block head since birth and my very first crush was on the one and only ddub! Looks like 23 years later I am still smitten by how amazing you are. I had a pretty trying week. It has been a rough road. This blog has been up for a couple of weeks and I read it but never posted a comment. I doubt you will even read this. It was worth a shot. You have inspired a lot of us in so many ways. I have taken on responsibilities that I never would have if it wasn’t for this reunion and your words of encouragement. Life is tough, we all know that…but sometimes it hauls off and kicks you in the teeth. That isn’t very easy to recover from.
