Hi everyone,
First off I want to thank everyone for the past year and a half. What a ride!! It has gone beyond anything I ever dreamed would happen. My kids got to see their Dad on stage, Wow!!!, simply unbelievable. Walking off stage and having my youngest daughter say “It’s so cool you’re my Dad” says everything.
I also want to thank everyone for their tireless work with NKOTB’s fight against breast cancer. This year will mark !0 years since my mother past away. For me it’s a celebrating and a tribute to the woman she was and the angel she is shining down on us. I will continue this fight moving forward with the Komen Foundation. Thank you to Lynn Hughes, Carrie Glasscock, Jared Paul, Dave Brown, Janelle Lopez, Jared Siegel, Gary, Ute, and Allen at Bravado, and all of the Team Betty’s out there. I am forever grateful.
Please remember this is only the beginning of our newest journey together. We will be doing many things in the near future. You are the sixth member and always will be. The one constant force through everything has been your dedication.
I love you!!!!!!!
Danny Wood .

Danny,
I cannot say “thank you” enough. This year (and last) has been an incredible ride. I have been a fan since 1986 (I was 6). I am almost 29. That is 23 years (wow did I just say that?) of going strong with my favorite 5 guys from Boston. There are not many artists that I know of that *LOVE* their fans THIS much to be doing what they are doing! You do not know how much you guys have meant to me all of these years. I said it in response to Joe’s blog, and I’ll say it again. YOU GUYS have SAVED my life! It’s hard when you’re a kid who gets teased when you’re young. You guys really helped me with that!!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! I can say these things until I’m blue in the face….but I don’t care!!!! I want you guys to know it!!!! I don’t know what else to say but THANK YOU! You guys have a present coming your way from my friend and I and you won’t be disappointed, especially YOU Danny! I am certain of that!:) I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
Love Always,

Let me start this off by saying “Thank you!” Those words will NEVER be cliché when it comes to this reunion. You have changed my life…and I know the fans have made quite an impact on yours as well. To tell you the truth I wasn’t very happy with you after you refused to even talk to Bands Reunited a few years ago. Now I know why…I know the whole story and I understand. You had to do this on YOUR time…obviously the time was right for ALL of us. Seeing all of you with your children made me understand why you waited…your daughters are beautiful and you should be very proud!
As far as “more to come”. I can’t even imagine what you have in store for us…and yourselves. I am going to sit here and soak it in as much as I can…wait with baited breath and know that 2009 and beyond will be as exciting and full of new discoveries as 2008-2009.
I have met more friends then I can count on my fingers and toes…life long friends…no artificial user friends. Friends that care about me and treat me with love and respect! That to me is more important then the reunion…the album…and even meeting you!
Thank you…thank you….thank you.

I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the ride as much if I didn’t know you guys were enjoying it just as much as we are! So glad your kids get to be a part of it. They have the opportunity to experience something not a lot of kids get to experience. They have one of the coolest dads ever!
Thanks for being so sweet, and always taking the time to express your love to us. Your mother taught you well. I know she’s smiling down at you from Heaven.

wow Danny…what can I say except thank you…I know you’ve heard it a million times, but I say thank you not only for this last year & a half, but for all you do with breast cancer. I, too, lost my dad to cancer 4 years ago, and while it was not breast cancer, (it was liver/bone cancer), I believe with all my heart that someday there will be a cure for this nasty disease and that once they find a cure for breast cancer, that will lead to so many other cures for different cancers, or vice versa. You are an amazing person and I am so blessed to know you even though I have only met you for a short time and you don’t know me…but we are family and we will continue to be. This past year has been an amazing journey…its brought back so many memories and also has given me new memories and new friends… its given me the chance to share a piece of my youth with my own son…he loves the cartoon by the way…so thank you again for this wonderful journey and I look forward to the next leg of the journey…

I love that you guys got to do this again. And you’ve really made it a lot of fun for us…which is why i think it was such a success. I went to your concert 3 times in Los Angeles and then twice in NYC after I moved. What JOY i experienced at EACH of them. I knew it would be a once in a lifetime party (since i never saw you guy when i was small) — so i went every chance I could…including the TODAY show this past visit. WHAT FUN. I’m so glad your kids got to share the experience and be proud of their daddy. Good for you and all the best with you future after this reunion page has turned. You’ve made history!! Victoria.

I am so thankful you guys came back to us, & the fact that you were able to have your kids join you on this journey must have made it all that much more enjoyable for you!!
I lost my mom to a rare form of luekemia almost 19 years ago, & the work that you do in memory of your mom inspires me to do the same. Thank you so much for that, & I know that your mom smiles down on you everyday with pride!!
Again thank you so much for the love you show us, & for a great experience at Indy M&G.

Danny, this past year has touched so many people and changed us all forever. I am so glad you got to share this experience with your kids. So many amazing memories that I will hold onto forever. But I can’t wait to see what the future brings our way. Thank you for thinking of us as the 6th member, we are all connected in ways never imagined and will be forever, no one can take this past year from us. This is just the beginning.
10 years may have gone by since your Mother has passed on but she is watching in amazement of what you have accomplished in that time. You have helped saved many lives across the world and will continue to save lives as we all get the message out there, beware ourselves & help others. I am very honoured to be a Betty’s Girl. A group of our Blockhead friends from Edmonton,AB Canada are doing the CIBC Run for the Cure in October. I have always wanted to do a charity event such as this and YOU INSPIRED ME to do it. I Thank You for that, I hope we make you proud. (And I hope You liked the shirt our Betty’s ETown team member gave you in Seattle)
You truly are an amazing man and I have to say that picture is simply beautiful.
Can’t wait to Sea you in May 2010!
Oh and please keep those fitness tips coming because it will help motivate me for the cruise.
Thank you for everything Danny!

Danny,
This has been a great year for me because of NKOTB. Maybe not so great for my husband, but he’s been supportive. It was so amazing meeting you twice this past year, once in NJ and once in TN. You are one of the nicest people to meet in person. A few months ago, you mentioned that you wished your mom was here to see NKOTB now and what the five of you have accomplished. I lost my mother to cancer in 1995, so I can relate since my mom has missed so many important events in my life, especially my college graduation and my wedding. I want you to know that I will do whatever I can to support the Komen Foundation now and in the future. I can’t wait to see what you all have in store for us. I will be there!!!

Danny,
What a wonderful blog. Your outlook and positive attitude never ceases to amaze me. It lifts me up-even carries me sometimes so thank you. Your daughter’s comment-wow…wasn’t that just the icing on a very fabulous cake! Probably should’ve used a different analogy for Mr. Fitness and Health, but your sweetness in nature has never been lost on me so I had to go for a sweet one. Hey Danny,
As I wrote to Joe yesterday, thank you SO much for sharing your family with us over the last year & a half. They are pretty special kids, that’s for sure! I can’t thank you enough for coming back into my life. I can’t believe how much I feel like a teenager again! LOL! I hope to get on the next cruise & tell you guys in person just how special you are to me. It’s too bad that your mom isn’t here to share all of this with you, but she’s definitely watching.
Thanks for the love!

Danny, I loved the way you summed up everything this year. Was a blockhead in the old days, and will remain a blockhead for life!
July 28th, 2009 at 1:32 pm
As the very 1st member of New Kids on the Block that I met you will ALWAYS hold a very special place in my heart! Back in 1992 when I was a diehard “Joey girl” you took time to talk to a 12 year old. I always regretted that all I had for you to sign that day was a Joey shirt (which you did with a smile on your face). In later years I realized that I should have passed on the autograph and I felt bad about it. Fast Forward cause now it’s 2008 and we are in Boston again! A dream come true. This time you listened to a 30 year old apologize for the autograph thing and you laughed. I quickly slip you my copy of Second Face to sign and tell you I just downloaded Coming Home. It is your best work yet! Well, until your new album for Komen is released. THANK YOU DANNY WOOD!
P.S. A big thanks to Chance as well who autographed my door decorations. The theme? Then & WOW! Now THAT says it all. Love, Leia from NY

So yeah I guess I’ll say it: Thank you, thank you guys for such a fun, and exciting time and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next! Let’s continue this!

Looking back on the last year, I keep wondering when I’ll wake up from this dream come true. Never having had the privilege to see NKOTB in concert back in the day is something I must have subconsciously carried with me all these years, because now that you’ve all returned to our lives, I truly feel like a void I didn’t really realize was there, has now been filled. Filled with realized dreams, amazing memories that I couldn’t have anticipated, and an entirely new perspective on life’s possibilities.
I wasn’t able to verbally convey all of this in Des Moines when I finally exceeded my childhood dream and met all of you, but I hope my decorated wheelchair did the trick. As much as we all try to convey what you’ve brought to and back to our lives, it truly defies explanation. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to have been in your presence as much as I have been able these last few months, and as I look forward to what lies ahead, I look back with much gratitude.
See you again soon! Minnesota’s waiting!

Thank you for the last year and a half, too. Thank you for believing in NKOTB again and then announcing to the world that NKOTB are back. I will never forget that day, watching the red curtain open with Joey McIntyre, Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, and you Danny Wood, standing on stage on the Today Show! It was truly amazing and I’m so thankful for 5 brothers and a million sisters. Let’s Continue This Forever.
Nice pic at the beach, by the way. Maybe one day I can join you.

Danny,
This past year and a half has been more than I ever could have hoped for. I have had so many amazing experiences and met so many great people thanks to you guys! I had a few opportunities to see you and your daughters together and I wondered what was cooler them watching you or you knowing they were watching you. I did 2 M&G’s and you were so kind to me. They way you listened to what I had to say meant the world to me. Also the fact that you wore the ‘I support your breasts’ and ‘I’m a breast man’ shirts I gave you is something I am still truly blown away by! Something like that is so simple for you to do, yet made me so happy! Thanks for the work you are doing for breast cancer. Your mom I know is so proud of you. I’m happy to hear that it’s not over yet. I know you guys miss us as much as we miss you. I will be there to love and support you all in everything you do. I’ll hopefully see you on the cruise with a third shirt in hand!!! I love you! Carey @wicked12

It has been an incredible year and a half for us too, Danny. Thank you for coming back in a time that has been so difficult for many and bring back your amazing smile, talent and heart. The ride has been wonderful and I am looking forward to see what’s next on our journey together. Your efforts with Komen and finding a cure is inspiring and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.
PS: Your youngest is right, she does have a cool dad, but we all have known that for quite sometime.

Hey, Danny.
I’m glad I was blessed enough to have the opportunity to catch you once on the Summer Tour (in Concord, Ca). My friends and I are the ones who commissioned an artist friend to do the portrait of you and your mother. I really hope you received it. It was truly a pleasure to meet you. Seeing you with your daughters on stage was such a special moment. You are so full of love and were glowing as they were there with you. I’m happy they had the opportunity to see their daddy perform. What you quoted, “It’s so cool you’re my dad” brought tears to my eyes. All of you able to spend time with your children… wow. I know this tour had to mean a lot to you all not just with sharing your gifts with us loyal fans/family but sharing the experience with your children. Those are definitely some lasting memories.
Thank-you for the memories and I eagerly await the journey ahead.

I love you too Danny, and all you guys have done such a great job I’ve been to 2 of your concerts this time around and a signing in LA. I met all of you and I’m so thankful to our Lord that he brought you men back into my life when I needed you. Rough times call for good music and good times ahead! So forever grateful your fan for life….Miss Martina B. Riverside, Cal.

Danny! Thank you for coming back into our lives! I love you so much. The couple of times that I have met you and even though it was extremely brief, you were always very courteous. I love your inspiration and your daily workout tweets. I share a passion for working out too so I truly appreciate those tweets. You are the best and I look forward to you and the other guys coming back into our lives again soon.
