OMG!!! After over a year of patiently waiting for our turn, listening to the stories of other fans, seeing all the footage via YouTube…. us Aussies are actually getting FACETIME!!!!!!!!! You little ripper mate!!!!! And being in Perth, (not forgotten this time, thanking you so very muchly!!) we get to see you first!!! Jedi, you are not the only person this has happened to. I’m from Australia and last year my Nkotb Portland concert was cancelled for the AMAs. I was not able to change my travel plans and was stuck in Portland with nothing to do. I lost money because of it, but I didn’t make a big deal about it as these things happen. They didn’t cancel the US shows for the Australian tour, it has nothing to do with it. This has been in the pipeworks for months

I seriously don’t think the guys would cancel certain shows just book others in their place. The guys care too much for their fans and want them to be happy. The cities in which the shows have been cancelled will have other opportunities to see them. NKOTB never disappoints their fans!

nicole79 can you please explain to me how you’ve been ‘working hard’ to get them there? I mean, I didn’t realize you had to fly over here to the US, and drag them there? Or call their manager(s) and pay a million bucks to do so either? So can you explain to me how you got them there? Because I’d really like to know. I mean, if that’s what it takes to get them to keep their shows, I’ll do whatever. I mean, I don’t have a million bucks or anything, but ya know… what do ‘I’ need to do to get them to come here then? To get them to not can their shows at the last minute? Please inform me, because I’m sure the rest of us that got our concerts canned would like to know that.
Ya know, I’m sorry if you think I’m not showing you respect. It has nothing to do with that at all. Just imagine how you’d feel if they announced a tour, you got your tickets, your hopes up, and everything else ready, and you were counting down to the days, with only a couple weeks left, and BOOM, they cancel it. I mean, I REALLY feel bad for the folks that were only a few days away… that would REALLY suck even more hardcore than I feel right now, and I’m pretty damn pissed. Then they announce the REST of the tour that just happens to be RIGHT AFTER. Then after that, they announce ANOTHER TOUR! I mean… no disrespect to you and your countrywomen… but what the hell is so right about that? I mean… I’ve been a NKOTB Fan and damn loyal over the past 20+ years. And just like that… what the hell? I’m sorry, but that’s just not ok in my book. Especially when they say they don’t care, they’ll still be there if there’s ONE fan in the building. Hell I mean, I know they’re not all on pitch all the time, but I’ll take a Capella! If it really is production problems… I mean, I don’t need the fancy lighting, the big screens, the explosions and all that crap. Even I can plug in a mic. And I’m sure they have enough fans in the world that SOME of us can play instruments. I mean really?
So yeah, I’m sorry if I sound like a broken instrument here, but it really hurts. That all my time and effort, the constant ragging in high school, the depression I have now by being bullied because of THEM… that I took on a daily basis, PROUDLY! AND NEVER BACKED DOWN!! Just everything… all seems like it’s not reciprocated.
And you know what really sucks… is I just realized I had a dream about this happening a couple of months ago. In fact, a dream about writing this very post, and yeah.. wow. I guess it’s true what they say… dreams do come true
I had a nightmare that I’d get in a car accident… and it happened a few months back, nearly killed me. Luckily it was after their first concert here, and I got to meet them all… so in essence, I would have died happy, lol. Then I had a dream a month ago that I was in a tornado… and the very next day, I almost was. But I didn’t want to die, I had another New Kids concert to go to, and I wanted to see ‘em, just one last time. Then I had this dream… and well, we all know what happened. So yeah… life’s a bitch, eh?

Jedi- now that u have finished chucking a tanty,and spitting the dummy(pacifier), maybe the grown-ups here can speak.
What Nicole meant was that we have waited so long and sent out petitions, contacted management & our local media etc, got the guys as much publicity as possible here, all while being so far from the rest of the world who the majority have all had dates for already and are still asking for them to come back(like u said u have already seen them in concert & met them), We haven’t had this opportunity for 17 years, you have had how many shows/appearances in the US/UK/Europe in the past year?, us Aussie have had Sweet FA. We got 1 tour back in 1992, we never had any of the previous ones & F.Y.I we had the Face The Music Tour cancelled.
We feel for those that had their dates cancelled but as Donnie has said they will be rescheduled. the dates over there were NOT cancelled just to come here, if u were a big girl u could read that the US dates ended on 18th July, last time I looked that was before August.
U go on about being bullied, welcome to our world little girl most of us had it back in the day & are still getting it now, you had a car accident & were nearly killed- be grateful that u r still alive an well(my Dad was left in a wheelchair after an accident). I have a back injury that if it gets anymore worse I will end up in a wheelchair for, i don’t even know if I can last the whole concert standing up. So HTFU.
So as we say here in Australia- give yourself an uppercut, and grow up little girl. Oh & 1 last thing CRY A RIVER, BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT. You look pathetic whinging and complaining all the time. Maybe u should go talk to some grown-ups and find out about what sharing is all about. Now please stop complaining. U r a bad example of a “fan”. Crawl back into your pram.
To all those that are happy for us THANK YOU u r what true fans are, we are/were all happy for you as well and enjoyed reading about your experiences even though we were so far away & didn’t know if we were going to get this opportunity.

Im not here arguing with you, i can totally see where you are coming from! Im scared that the shows over here in Australia will be cancelled, and i know then that i will be just as diappointed as you are BUT you have to realise that these things are out of our control! I do believe that they said they will make up for it, and you have to believe that they will!
When i say we worked hard for this to happen, its because we did! We have online petitions happening, we have bombared radio stations, tv networks, promoters, the record company - we have done just about everything in our power, as fans, to support and get attention for the guys in Australia, and now we feel that all of this has paid off for us. Australia is just as deserving of this tour than anyone else (u are not the only fan that has supported them for the last 20yrs!)

Anyway…..have a great time down under and make sure you have a good long rest at some point, you really deserve. I just watched an interview on the cruise and heard news of a new album coming out! I cant wait for that - it will be amazing.

Oh and as for u saying life is full of mostly downs, so, it really is nothing new to me,Join the club, I have lost both parents plus 98% of my uncles & Aunties, my only family is my sister and my dog Mia(my dog Nitro was put to sleep in Oct last year) have recently lost my job and can never work again and have a back injury that will never get better only worse plus many other bad things so I know all about life’s downs i’ve had them for my whole life, this tour was the only thing keeping me going and stopping me ending my life.
Sweetmom- I hope you get your dates soon we will be happy for you, remember good things come to those who wait, who knows you could get extra dates or something special. In ‘92, my hometown thought we wouldn’t get our concert as the guys had to fly back to the US to answer those lip-syncing charges but they came back the next day, so that proves they do keep their word. Have faith in the guys.

I think I need a drink after reading some of these posts!! As an Aussie fan YES we did work our butts off to let the boys know we still loved them after all these years and yes we wanted to see them grace our shores again! If we didn’t do this we more than likely wouldn’t have seen this tour downunder happen! I am so sorry to all who have had there dates cancelled and yes I would be cheesed too HOWEVER in saying that maybe you all need to have a little faith that the boys will sought it!!! I have voiced my opinion many times and nearly been barred from the site because I’ve shot my mouth off in the moment angry from a decision that has been made and I learnt the hard way that SHIT HAPPENS sometimes!!!!

I can’t believe my eyes. What was the fight about? I’m sure you can’t remember. Let me tell you this. I am from Romania, Bucharest (that would be the capital of the country). Many of you don’t know where that is, and the guys don’t seem to know that also, still I never thought about beeing mad of them for that, for never being here, for not knowing that they have a lot of fans here. That’s just the way it is. In february I took my friends and went to Germany to see them for the first time in 20 years. I had the time of my life. I would do it again anytime! There are a lot of thigs that they can’t take care of, that are out of their hands. No need to be upsad. Just wait and you will see things will work out. They did for me and my friends even if I had to take a plane to see them, it happend and it’s all that matters.

First of all let me say congrats to australia for getting the guys…nothing like having all ur hard work pay off! Enjoy ur shows!!
Second I too am upset that our shows were cancelled..we had tickets and well we lost them.then the the ones selling tickets wanted to make even more money off of this whole situation. We had meet and greet tickets….I am very disappointed that they cancelled these shows as is everyone else. But its not the folks from austrailas fault so why take it on them? They are fans just like us and are happy their chance has come and I hope it dosnt get cancelled! I don’t think this had anything to do with the guys…think it was out of their control! As upset as I am at this I hold hopes that they will make up for this! I do wish they would have made up for it before another tour was scheduled but oh well!! So enjoy your show ladies and share ur experiences!! I hope they are as great as mine have been! And if any of nkotb are reading this please reschedule our shows soon!! Love ya!!

I got my tickets…. chose Wollongong over Sydney for that slightly more intimate feeling (I love smaller venues) - very disappointed the gold section is seated - I’ll have to do hurdles to rush the stage!! lmao. I was 14 last time I saw NKOTB and my mum got us tickets near the back “so I’d be safe”, needless to say she is not in charge of ticket purchasing this time!! lmao

omg I cant believe it cancelled melbourne concert why why? I love these guys they are hot and so talented.
