How ’bout a good ol’ fashioned blog.
This feels like using a rotary phone compared to twitter. Wow! I can
actually finish my thought here and not be sweating to death trying to
get it all in in a hundred and forty characters. Aaahhhh, this is nice.
Hmmm… Let me take a moment and collect my thoughts- what a novelty.
Well, let me see… We had another amazing show in Saskatoonia
( that’s what I like to call it- I add an (ia) to it).
I was hit by a recurring thought as I looked into the eyes of a girl
in the front row. How will I ever explain to each of you what it means
to be able to do what I do for such an audience? It’s such a blessing.
It pushes me to do more. To want more. To be all the things I think I
can be. And I thought of how I ‘get off’ on meeting people that to me
really ‘get it.’ There is a diverse group of people that we attract
and it mirrors the diversity of this group. And when you find those
moments with people when you are on the same page- whether its a look
or a comment or a joke or a story- and you really connect… Well, it’s
like sex to me. It’s that good. And it turns me on and it makes me want
more.
Now put that in your twit and smoke it.

For the past year, you guys have given me something to smile about daily, be it a new blog, a new song, te excitement of ticket buying, now tweets as well…but above all, the amazing new friends I’ve met through this reunion. Just yesterday, I was also thinking about how blessed we are to have you back in our lives (especially since I became one of your supporter after you had split up).
We are very lucky because I don’t know many famous people who would put so much energy to keep in touch with their fans. You’re truly the best and I’m so happy to see you enjoying this ride again. I hope it will last a long time

Wow, you’re early this morning! Well, you get to blog in more than 140 characters and I get to respond in as many characters as I want! I was thinking why in the world am I going to so many concerts this year when I’m going to hear the same songs over and over, see the same sexy guys dancing their hearts out, hear Joe come up with a clever phrase that’s going to catch on all over the US, and listen to Donnie scream each city’s name as if it were the most important city on the tour?
But ya know that’s just one tiny piece of it. I could go to any concert and tell you the details, but I couldn’t tell you how I felt when Danny smiled at me or when Joe winked and pointed at me. I probably wouldn’t be sitting next to a girl that I met online only a few months ago giggling about something we shared in a chat. And I wouldn’t be sharing the experience with so many other women who feel almost exactly the same way I do.
That’s why I go and see you guys so much, and that’s why I’m grateful you’ve come back.

Often your thoughts confuse me a little, I struggle to connect with some of it and really grasp where you are… But then again I often go through phases of struggling to grasp a lot of things with the way I think…
I haven’t posted on here for ages and even the Twitter thing has me like, flippin’ eck, these guys gonna have me signing up to bare more sites when I haven’t been keeping up on ere…
I am suffering real bad from NAD (NKOTB Away Disorder)… I am not American or in America or with much of a job or the dough you see to be able to make some more of your shows… I am missing you guys something chronic and have had to keep away for it has been making my heart ache and feel sad that I cannot just be at a concert with you all all over again…:(
Even that experience had me feeling so far not to be able to get close up and just yap with you backstage a bit and really just watch you guys connect behind the scenes like a little observer…
It’s been bugging me that I have not the $ to interact more with you guys be it getting to be on the upcoming cruise or just buying more paraphenalia!!
But JM, here you said something that brings me that hope and sparkle again, a glimmer of a glint in the eye, a flutter from the sleeping butterfly… That your fans drive you on and it’s like a natural sexual healing
that keeps you going strong and spurs you on to be keep being the best you can be with enjoyment of what you get out of it… And that for me is much like when I put on my selection of The Block CD (Almost every song mixed with other songs I like!!! a current favourite being Millie Jackson - If Loving You Is Wrong, I Don’t Wanna Be Right… and of course always with ‘My Favorite Girl’) and enjoy ‘Put It On My Tab’ and ‘Don’t Cry’ where I picture us all clubbing the night away and then you guys saying it’s okay, don’t cry because it may feel like the last time but lets love like it’s the first time…hence your spurred on and perhaps against all odds and possibilities of fate we will meet again…

I totally agree with you JM. All A’s in English classes all my life and now it’s all been reduced to texting shorthand!! I’m losing my mind. What would my teachers and professors think if they saw my text messages? Oh well. Time to adjust…but only 140 characters? Geez! Gimme the Chinese alphabet. Sooo much easier at this point. Enough about that. Bring on the second wave of shows! I’m predicting over 100 degrees for July in AZ. Have to admit, it’s exciting getting live little updates throughout the day from JK’s twitter!

The twittering is certainly awesome, but an old-school blog is nice every now and then, especially if it’s one like this! Wow, what a way to wake up! I had a fantastic time tweeting with you last night; that really makes me feel the connection when I’m not lucky enough to be the girl in the front row looking at you.
We’re always trying to thank you more and vice versa, and I guess eventually we’re going to have to accept that everyone involved in this is entirely grateful. I hope you never lose this feeling because I know I never will.

I just wanted to Thank you for all you do for your fans. I have been to 2 concerts and on my third in July. Everyone tells me but they sing the same songs. But I tell them they are different everyway. I love how you guys change things so they don’t seem like the same. I can’t wait to see you again. This is so awesome because we didn’t get to do this when I was a kid. You had to wait and read everything in a magazine. Trust me I had everyone of them and still do. Well off to do some work. Wow, what a heartfelt blog. It is evident watching you on stage that you do absolutely love what you do, and you love your audience (us) maybe as much as we love all of you. Thanks for Twittering with us. I’d have to agree, it does make us feel like we are that much closer to you. The “Super Star/Star-Struck Fan” line seems to be fading to more of a “hey, we’re all people here, let’s treat each other as equals”. I don’t know if that is just an illusion, a marketing tool, or anything you have intentionally done, but we are really enjoying this. Your Reunion is the best which could happen! I´m in a deep depression through the last three years, with conversational therapy and antidepressant. Since i was on the concert in FFM this year and felt in love with Donnie during “Cover Girl” my life is getting better and better. When the depression try to get me back in the deep black hole of sadness, i turn on your music and going to see videos on youtube! Afer that i´m feeling much happier! Seeing Donnie makes me happy! Hope you will be back in Germany very soon, so i can get my FACETIME with Donnie. But, a little retweet by you all on twitter would brighten up my day every time…hoe to get one!!

Could not agree more. Saskatoonia (or West Guam as the Bostons called it) was amazing. We had such a blast and the crowd really brought it. It is definatly up there on my list of favs.
I just wanted to thank you for our moment where we “got it” on Saturday. I can seriously tell you I will never quiet look at stairs and little ones the same way again and to have Joey McIntyre say thank you to me 4 times with relief in your voice is a memory I am gonna have forever

Is it really possible for you to know how much this means to us?? Since you guys have been back, our lives have a lot more meaning. It is like realizing you missed something that you never knew you missed. All these years I thought I had moved on and life was fine. But now, Now my life is so much more enjoyable. I have met you guys and my 14yr old self is doing cartwheels each time. I have made some AMAZING new friends. People I would have never met will be my friends for life, I’m certain of it. I have reunited with some old friends and it’s been wonderful. I am traveling (Boston in June baby!).
But most importantly, I have had fun again. At 34, divorced, with two young children, life took over and I forgot to enjoy it. Thank you! Thank you all for giving me something to enjoy! Thank you for bringing the smile back to my face.

Let me just say this blog made my day, my week, my month, my year!!!! I love reading your blogs, tweets, etc. This last year has been incredible-thanks so much for coming back. Also thanks so much for doing the ILAA Meet and Greets as I have now got to meet you twice and got to be in Front Row in Orlando and it was Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and you guys seriously need to come to Asia-I moving to South Korea for a year to teach and it would totally rock to be able to catch you guys in concert while I am there!!!

It’s exactly what we love about you guys. Your ability to connect with us and make each of us feel like you truly care (even with 40,000 of us on here!). That connection makes us feel as if we know you and is why we truly care about each of you guys (but you seem to “get” that).

Most of us know what you mean when you say it’s hard to put your feelings regarding being able to do all of this into words. It’s hard for me to put into words what this reunion means to me. Yeah, I was a big, no huge, fan back in the day, and when you guys split up, I was sad. Nevertheless, I went on to enjoy other groups, attend other concerts and buy more music. But last year, when I heard about the reunion, I was just temporarily speechless. I didn’t know what to think about it, until I attended my first concert in October. Wow. All those feelings, emotions, especially love, all came back to me. Yes, it was great to hear all of the old hits and see all of the old dance moves, but you guys made me fall in love with you all over again with new music and new dance moves. I didn’t realize how much joy you guys had brought to me as a teenager and how much I had missed that. So for that and for so much more, I say thank you. God bless each one of you and your families and please, don’t ever stop!
Oh, and Twitter…it’s the best!! I feel like I’m text messaging old friends when you guys get on!

I am so glad you put it like that. It is hard to fully be able to explain to you guys (nkotb) what this whole journey has meant or been like for us fans. The impact of the five of you reaches far ane wide. The closest thing I can compare it to is Santa Clause. Remebmer that rush you would feel as a kid…lining up in the mall to FINALLY meet Santa? Remember all the worry and anxiety over whether or not he really knew if you had been bad or good? Remember the minor disappointment when you had to leave his lap? and the excitment of knowing he would be coming to your house soon to deliever that special present. Well that is the closest thing I can compare my fan experience to. My feelings as a NKOTB mirror the feelings I had as a kid for Santa Claus. Its the closest comparison I can make. I have been a fan since I was 12. My adolescent and childish little girl dreams have all flashed backed so quickly with this reunion. The excitment of seeing you all perform again. The bewilderment at the possiblility of meeting you guys FINALLY. The anxiety over what to say when face to face with you guys. And the minor disappointment at the end of every concert knowing that you are going to have to wait till the the next round and save save save to be able to make it happen. Then the excitment of going through it all again with every marketing measure you guys make to keep in touch with us. No other group allows fans to access them through every monatary and free level available…phonecalls, web, twitter, meet and greet, personalized vid, cheap concert tix…and the list goes on. Us fans that struggle with economic times do realize you guys did this for us! And we appreciate it! So when Donnie calls this “A RIDE”; I think hell ya its a ride!. The butterflies are overwhelming; the excitment is intrancing; the anxiety is forever building…..and I LOVE IT. Holy hell Joseph, you really know how to get a girl turned on don’t ya? LOL It’s so true though… there’s such a select few people that really “get” what this whole thing is all about, and you meet one of them, it’s really exciting. I recently got to meet a few people that I’ve been chatting with on the ning site for a while, and I had such an adrenaline rush, I was awake for 48 hours before I even started to get tired. It’s not really something you can explain to people that don’t get it, and for those who DO get it, no explanation is needed. lol if that makes any sense.

Its me again. I posted earlier but have another thought. For me my love for you goes back to me tween years. You all come into my life when I was “discovering” boys. Joey Joe you were like my first crush I really ever had. When I look at you my heart melts and I feel all giddy. As the group faded out in the mid 90’s my life continued and so did yours. We have all matured and when I read on Perez Hilton rumors of a reunion my heart stopped beating. I called my friend that minute and said “we are so at the concerts when it happens”. Then the Today Show performance last May… Joey you guys had me standing up, singing, waving my hands in the air and jumping around like a little teenage girl again. It takes a special group to be able to make a 32 year old women feel like a teenager again. You all have a special gift and to be able to share it with us is the greatest gift you could ever give us. I listen to “The Block” on my Ipod just to hear your voices in my head so nice and clear. Almost like your singing just to me.
I could never Thank You enough for all the love, joy and happiness you bring to my life each and every day. Seeing your blogs is like a special love note to each and every fan.

LMAO! Leave it to Joey Joe to make some crazy silly lasting impression with words. It really is amazing though to be around others who “get it”. This whole experience, many people never understood NKOTB back in the day but all of us who’ve been there from the beginning..we always “got it” and it’s awesome to watch others now who are finally “getting it.” The shows…for real…are like one big massive orgasm of 10,000 plus people all happening at one time. It’s a feeling that really can’t be described or compared to anything. It’s the most liberating shit ever. Thank you guys for that!

We had a great time at your show in Saskatoonia Joey! Me and two of my girlfriends traveled from Edmonton for an amazing weekend with you guys! You guys truly connect on stage and we love you!! While enjoying reading your tweets about western Canada, there are SO many of us in eastern Canada (more east than Montreal!), who are DYING to see you again. I was at the show in Portland, Maine a few weeks ago & it left me wanting MORE, especially after having Face Time with DW. When, oh when are you coming to the Maritimes??? We need some summer dates! First…I agree. this is way better than twitter. 140 characters? Who came up with that? But thank you for giving us hours of entertainment out of the goodness of your heart! You’re such a good sport and I know I appreciate it!
Now…To read words like this is like hearing I love you from someone for the first time that you’ve loved all your life. I know how much I love you guys and have loved you for the past 20 years and how much seeing you all again, back together, whether it be on stage or at a meet and greet, means to me. But to hear that you feel the same; that when you look at us, the fans, and get that…this is as good as sex…feeling, it’s indescribable and I ALWAYS want more!!! To know you love us, the way we love you…it’s beyond comprehension. And people wonder why we’ve stuck around so long? It’s pretty obvious to me. I’d like to think I had a moment like that with you at a concert in Bossier City. You looked at me and smiled and now I know it was more than just a smile for a girl in the crowd! Thank you for everything. You’re so awesome and I appreciate the love you have for all the fans! It makes loving you SOOOO WORTH IT! I love when I get return on my investments! I always think about when you looked into my eyes at the Cardiff show in Jan and how it made me feel.

I just purchased my tickets for the TO show this morning. It will be my fourth show since September (I’d probably have done more if I didn’t have to travel so far every time). People shake their head at me. Unfortunately I’m keeping it on the down and low this time and I’m sharing it with the people that understand this craziness (God Bless my Husband for understanding!). Joe, your words ring so true! So true! I’ve been to two Meet n’ Greets now and it was awesome. Although I never really did get to talk to you either time, you make me laugh. So Wait!!! You are on twitter. I thought it was someone faking to be you!!! That’s what I think Donnie blogged on here. Well, anyway, Yeah Twitter is cool because Donnie and Jon are obviously obsessed with it right now which is cool to see. Just so human of you all, hee hee. Donnie’s is funny because he’s trying to be yoda or something and Jon is the complete reverse just telling us about getting pizza and sleeping. More of a play by play but in a joking way. So now I have to see yours too. I’ve seen you guys 2 times and went to the first performance on the Today show!! I hope the set up is a little better this time so more fans can see you. They need to accomidate for your popularity. I’m sure not many showed up for the last one because, it was freezing, couldn’t see much if you didn’t sleep out for 2 days on the last one, and just timing. I wish this was in the summer. I have one last class that day. I dont want to skip, it’s mandatory. May 8th. I do want to be there, but I’d want it more if I knew there was a bigger chance to meet you guys or see you perform. It is great to hear from you, and I believe we had one of those moments too in Green Bay. You do a really good job of making us all feel special in an arena of 10,000 woman. nWords cannot express what it was like to meet all of you in Grand Rapids. I have been a faithful fan since the beginning. I still have all of my memorabilia and I still have pictures of my bedroom walls covered with your pictures. My daughter and I were going through the pin ups not too long ago and she got quite a kick out of the hairstyles (you really did rock the curly hair!) and the clothes. She and her friends absolutely love you guys now too which is something that I always dreamed I’d share with her. She said the sweetest thing to me after we left the concert. I said “NKOTB are my Jonas Brothers ” and then she said “they’re my Jonas Brothers too!” You were all so sweet to her when she met you and made her first NKOTB concert the experience of a lifetime! Please continue doing what you do best which is performing and making us stay in love with you through the years! Cannot wait for the cruise! I am gonna hold you to the speedo and Nike’s!

I was one of your 5 star VIP members at your Saskatoon show. I absolutely loved the concert!!! I was also at your Edmonton Concert in November…which was also great!! I must say that I was disappointed with how much face time we got….especially for $478!!! I am glad that I got the chance to meet you after 20 years!!! But I felt like we were cattle in a line up. A quick hug and pic and then rushed out the door……It would have been great for you guys to at least give autographs!! I really think that you guys should spend a little more time with your fans if they took the time and money to meet you. I know that you have a super busy schedule and are in high demand….but a lot of girls were disappointed with how much face time we got!! Also….there were people next to us that got upgraded to row 4 from some of the worst seats in the building. So I kind of felt ripped off in the money department there.
I just wanted to express my disappointment with the face time….but wanted to let you guys know that you are great and keep doin what you are doin!!! I would definitely without a doubt attend many more concerts but would NOT get the VIP.

Why on earth does it always cut off the far left side of all of the comments on your blog??? I have NO IDEA what everyone is talking about because it’s like reading every third word or something. Even now as I’m typing I can’t read my own reply because it’s cutting everything to the left off!! So please forgive any spelling errors I may have.
Now, someone PLEASE tell me what Twitter is and how to use it!! Haha! I’m sooooooo 80’s! LOL!! By the way…. the concert in Des Moines was soooo good! I want you to know I FELL OFF MY CHAIR while attempting to pivot so I could see you as you walked RIGHT PAST our seats from teh B stage to the main stage. Needless to say, I missed everyone of you except Jon when I fell through the back of the chair and stuck my foot in someone’s beer! YUCK! Now THAT is not something that would’ve happened at the last NKOTB concert I was at in 1990!! No beer then!! Haha1 But the beer foot was soooo worth the fun I had at the concert! LOL…to not have to go back and erase your thought because it doesn’t fit!!! To express what is really in your heart and mind without restrictions….ahhhh it’s like taking a deep breath. We may be just ordinary people but we too feel great when we find that place in our lives that “fits” and we too strive to connect with people who “get” us. It must be hard to be around so much more than what you’re looking for but it must also make it so much sweeter when you find it! You can’t recognize greatness if you never felt defeat!
Just so you know…we see this greatness in you. By the way…YOU can’t throw in the word sex and not expect our thoughts to go off on their own tangents….damn…I’m done for!!!

when i 1st read this blog this morning i was aimed and prepped to answer as soon as i got home from work…waking up 4 hours l8er…
while i do enjoy the instant gratification of Mactweets, i’ve always loved sitting back and reading a good Macblog, absorbing every word, every line, everythought. no need to keep track where one tweet began and one ended. no sifting throught the continuous reply tweets! This blog def brought me back to you marker board tweet! i admit i am a concert photo fanatic, esp the first show around or during a time you know somethings gonna happen and you wanna have your personal photo of that event! During the atl city show in Nov, my cousin and i got 5* but on the risers. there we were surrounded by friends, it was the last of our NK roadtrip so after bout the first two songs, we put the cams away and just enjoyed the show, dancing and singing and just watching y’all do your thing. it was gr8!! i can’t even imagine how it looks through your eyes…and now thanks to you…got a clue and D#mn, it makes me want to go to more just to share that kind of moment with each of y’all!! summertime its gonna happen! Hey Joey, I completly understand what you mean when you talk about the connection we have with each other. I have been a fan since I was 6 years of age and I’m still going. I have only now seen you in concert first in Montrea sept/08,ottawa mar/09 and next toronto june/09 but I have always felt connected to all of you through your music. It has been playing in my heart since I was 6. The ottawa concert I was on the floor 18th row and I swear I met all your eyes at least once which showed my how much you are all so into this and that means a lot of me. I wish I had all the money in the world to get some VIP passes to finally mean you all in person but what I can afford will have to to. Can’t wait to see you all in Toronto June I’ll be in sec 407 come out to the crowd…It would mean the world to us.

I no longer have posters on my walls or countless t-shirts tucked in a drawer. They’ve been long replaced by family photos and cocktail dresses. I don’t scour the newsstands for the newest teen magazines or record every television appearance I can find. I watch CNN, the Food Network and read ‘Oprah’s Picks’. My dreams are no longer filled with thoughts of marrying one (or all) of you, I’ve got a great husband by my side. Still somewhere, deep in my heart, in a small corner that’s reserved for the feelings and experiences that mean the most to me, I have posters and pins, songs and trading cards, concerts and memories. and when I’m feeling that life’s too serious or too ‘adult’, I go there and quietly look around for a minute. I can’t help but smile at how fun it all was and how with this reunion, it is fun once more. I can’t explain why, I just know that it feels youthfully nostalgic. You thank us, we thank you and back again. I’m glad you’re all having as much fun as we are! Keep keepin’ it real and promise to quit when it starts to feel like a chore. We’ll understand.

My friend and I drove 11 hours to see you guys in Uncasville, CT which was our second NKOTB show at that time since the reunion. I had one of the best moments of my New Kids memories at that show. I was wearing a pink feather boa and singing with you all to “Tonight.” Right during the words, “you showed us how you care” on top of the piano, you pointed back at me with a huge smile on your face (funny, how I did not even realize that I was pointing at you because I was so in the moment and that song means so much to me as one of my favorites). That one brief moment of Joseph McIntyre making contact with me while I was singing back to you and you to me, meant more than you know. I was so thrilled! I only wish that I could have shared that moment with my father who died 10 years ago. He supported my New Kids crush and bedroom covered walls (quite literally; my parents called my room the New Kids dungeon) of 5 boys from Boston. I am sure that you do not remember that moment, but that is alright. We shared it briefly, and I will hold onto it forever. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. After 20 years of being a fan, I am glad that we can do it all again.

I was also at your Winnipeg concert, reliving my youth. You guys did such an amazing job and I’m sure you hear it all the time, but you really did. It was fun to go out with ‘the girls’ and, being 32, shrieking like a teenager again. I am married now with beautiful children. A professional, carrying on like any other adult woman. But when I heard you were coming back to Winnipeg, my heart skipped a beat and I got this giddy feeling inside (remaining calm in front of my family, of course!). It was so exciting to feel that vibe from you guys again. We know that you and Jordan are also married with little ones at home. It was nice of you to say that there were very pretty ladies in Wpg, but at the same time, remaining very respectful to your wife. Loyalty is a very sexy trait (is that an oxymoron??). Donnie also kept the sexual vibe very much alive!

I know EXACTLY what you mean. (I actually was laughing and had tears in my eyes at the same time while reading) THAT is the reason you guys are so special to us. You appreciate us as much as we do you, and your performances are great. Besides the singing and dancing which is always amazing to me, the little moments you guys have onstage that make us laugh (Jordan’s shoe falling off -Moline) and you guys laughing and trying to recover.:) We feel very much the same way because you have fun and interact and include us…. When you(as the performer) or us (as the audience)has that connection AND WE DO, we are unstopable…….and loving every minute of it. Right back atcha’ Joe.

Well, let me see… We had another amazing show in Saskatoonia
( that’s what I like to call it- I add an (ia) to it).
I was hit by a recurring thought as I looked into the eyes of a girl
in the front row. How will I ever explain to each of you what it means
to be able to do what I do for such an audience? It’s such a blessing.
It pushes me to do more. To want more. To be all the things I think I
can be. And I thought of how I ‘get off’ on meeting people that to me
really ‘get it.’ There is a diverse group of people that we attract
and it mirrors the diversity of this group. And when you find those
moments with people when you are on the same page- whether its a look
or a comment or a joke or a story- and you really connect… Well, it’s
like sex to me. It’s that good. And it turns me on and it makes me want
more.
Now put that in your twit and smoke it.
What a well put blog Joey! The way you perform at each and every show is how you let us all know how much you enjoy what you do. The passion that exudes from you (especially in the pics I have taken of you) is what we live for and dream of! Having the 5 of you back in my life and my BFF’s life has undoubtedly changed our perspective on life! It is so nice to be able to live out our dreams with you all. As I’ve said before, Joe, I truly appreciate you. You made us feel so good in Winnipeg last week. Although you may not want to say it, I will; There were many very overweight women at the show and you still (as full of s**t as you were) mentioned that you had forgotten how good looking women from Winnipeg are. I gotta say man, even if it wasn’t genuine, it sure felt good to hear
On another note though; could you please tell me why only the 20-something year old girls dressed in next-to-nothing, carrying alcohol were the ones asked to go backstage? What about the 30-something year olds who were hot yet tasteful? Have you guys forgotten who started out with you in the 80’s–before these little girls were even born? Ouch!

Well Joe, most of these girls have put it best, and that’s how we appreciate all of this-the album, the tour(s), the cruise(!!), the facetime, the autographs, the pictures, the meeting people outside the busses (or even at the Nashville mall- THANK YOU even more:)) It has brought back so many great memories from the past, AND made new ones today:)

You sure do know how to blog Joe Mac and that is as big a talent as being able to sum up a thought in 140 characters (I swear twitter gives lil ole me less than that). I love you most of all during this reunion because I see you connecting with fans in meaningful ways without making a big deal about it or instigating a riot. Such a class act! Some of your dear friends mean well. BUT they get the ladies whipped into a frenzy and it just gets out of control. OK to be fair, just one of your friends. I still have love for him though. You all amaze me, just like it was high school all over again!

Joey- Love the Blog!! As much as you get out of it with performing for us and everything, I get as much as just being able to see you do that. You take me back to a time in my life where it was good and all there was New Kids On The Block and dreaming one day of actually meeting you and talking to you was always on my mind. That is what I thank you for now. I am so glad that you all got back together and actually had the chance to see you in Tulsa Ok for the first time in 18 years, you could not begin to describe the emotions I had going through me when you came on stage. Now you will be here in Wichita in July where I live and I can’t wait to see you again to have those emotions again and having the memories come back again. I love that I can keep up with you on twitter- I feel like a part of your life with what you are thinking. So thank you again for all that you have done for me:)

I was in Grand Rapids for your concert on April 4th and LOVED every second of it! The only other concert I went to back in the day was in Detroit and Joey, you were sick that night and couldn’t perform, and I was crushed. It is totally like sex. I went to the Boston shows and needed more. So I went to the RI show and needed more. So I went to the Manchester NH show and needed more. Now I am going to the Comcast show. And I am sure I will want more. BUT I also want you guys to rest and take care of yourselves after this one. Don’t burn your asses out (unless its already too late for that) Take time for you and the family for a while. Then come back to us next year. I don’t want the same thing that happened 20 years ago to happen again. I can’t wait another 20 years !!!!!!!

I’ve been waiting 20-some years to connect with you:) I’d give almost anything to finally experience that one moment of shared intense gazing, from across a crowded room, as everything in the world stood still, time stopped and one could hear nothing else…but the beating of our hearts. HAHAHA…I couldn’t help but be a little cheesey & dramatic. Actually, I’d be happy to just meet you and have some Q-time to chat with you. Oh my goodness Joe! I’m so glad you feel how we feel, about seeing you in concert. I loved NKOTB in junior high (you especially :P) and at the time, I decided not to go to your concert, so when my best friend and I heard you were coming to Winnipeg, we jumped at the chance to get tickets. It was just the other night that we saw you, and it’s still fresh in my mind. It was more than a concert, it was a flashback and fresh new feelings too. Even though it has been 20 years, you guys.. get finer looking with time. Damn! On a more important note, you are so talented, all of you, and it is such a gift for us to have seen you again (hopefully not for the last time). And how dare you mention sex in your blog? After listening to your CD, it’s forefront on my mind!

Can’t even explain how happy we all are for you–I imagine what it must be like to stand on stage in front of so many adoring fans, and am overcome with joy for each of you! Thank you guys SO much for coming back on tour, giving so many of us part of our adolescence back! I was at the Moline Meet and Greet, where I proceeded to stammer and drool just as I knew I would–so surreal to see you all in person. 20 yrs of pent up teen hormones finally realized!! I saw you twice as a kid, and have to say, you have grown up really well!! Can’t wait to catch a summer show or two–add some more midwest shows will ya…nothing better than a hot show on a hot, sticky Iowa night!! Lovies!

Hey Joe…I am constantly trying to describe this “phenomenon” to people and they don’t get it. They don’t get why I need to spend $375 a pop repeatedly to see the same concert and give you guys another hug. Only the five of you and all us fans get it. There is some life long connection between us that will never, EVER be broken. You are a part of my heart, forever. Joey, I met you back when you were in Saskatoon(ia) with Dancing With the Stars. Joey Mac, Where do I begin…
I loved this blog so much & can relate to all of it 100% (Who can really express a whole thought in 140 characters?! As you read on, you’ll see it’s obviously not me <=D lol)
I too believe that human connections are what life is all about, so I wanted to tell you a story…
I came from a terrible homelife, and some of the happiest memories I have as a kid, were when I would lock myself in my room where I could feel safe, escape into your music and stare at the myriad of posters of you guys that adorned every square inch of my bedroom. (I had more of you, than any of the other guys, and your baby blues still melt my heart=)
No matter how hard life was, you guys always brought a smile to my face & kept me goin. I spent every penny I could scrape together on NKOTB bubblegum cards, cassettes, and any magazine that had posters or articles about you guys. I taped every appearance on talk shows (I still vividly remember you singing Frank Sinatra on Oprah=) and I even slept in an NKOTB sleeping bag lol.
When I was about 10, you guys came to Saskatoon (Or Saskatoonia as you like to call it lol I refer to it as Toon Town=). Everyone I knew got to go to the show & I wasn’t allowed and it was devastating. I never forgot that…
When I found out you guys were re-uniting and touring again, I was ecstatic, and nothing was going to stop me this time!
I drove the 2 hrs from my hometown of Regina to Saskatoon for the show on Saturday, and after 20 years, I finally lived my childhood dream and got to see you guys perform live! You & the guys did not disappoint! In fact, you blew my expectations out of the water! I’ve been to about a 100 concerts & yours was by far the most entertaining I’ve ever seen!
I think this show was made even more special because I am who I’ve become because of what I’ve been through, and you guys were there along the way and helped me survive it all. I cried when you guys came on stage…I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve given me, including your single “Stay The Same” which still makes me cry like a baby, since I first heard it around the time that I finally escaped the aweful situation I was in. As cheezy as it sounds, I felt like you were singing right to me, and your lyrics helped me believe that I would be okay if I just stayed true to myself & kept pushing on as I started my life over with nothing.
You’ll never know how much you mean to me and many others out there.
I wish you eternal happiness & success, Thank you so much for everything including an amazing show!

Thank you for a great show in Winnipeg, Joe!! I had such an amazing time dancing my ass off, screaming my lungs out and sittin’ (standin’, I did NOT sit!) front row and center to my favorite guys of all time!!! It’s true what you say about “getting it.” It’s an understanding. That 5 guys care about their fans just as much as we care about them. Thank you for everything you are doing and have done thus far…you have made so many dreams come true! Isn’t that an awesome feeling? It must be…because you continue to give us MORE…and MORE…and yes, even MORE!! It has become quite addictive, this adventure you’re taking us on. Don’t bother with a cure, I don’t want to be rehabilitated. I believe now more than ever, that “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever)” is a true love song for every NKOTB fan. I teared up to that one at the concert. I don’t know how long you plan to keep the “reunion” going, but regardless of that, I will always love you (all 5 of you!) for the magic that you add to my life. I THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming back and the sacrifices you have (all) made to make this possible. Words can never express what this means to us, your fans.

Hey how come there are no comments about your concert in Green Bay? Wisconsin loves you guys! Seriously though I’ve waited my whole life to see you guys in concert. When my family got me tickets to see you guys perform for my birthday I was excited. BUT THEN when you guys came down the aisle and I got to see you up close…I was even more excited. Where do I even start?? Just when I thought I had outgrown you guys, y’all come back hotter than ever and my giddiness is completely out of control! This reunion is the best thing that has happened to us “blockheads”! Thank you soooo much for making all of our dreams come true! I was at your concert last week in DSM, IA. You looked into my eyes, and I melted! I haven’t felt that feeling in my tummy since I met you way back when. I followed you guys everywhere remotely close to Iowa!! Unfortunately, now, I’m a big kid, and have the responsibility of a son and full time job, so following you all over is out of the question!! LMAO
A big shout out to TWITTER!! Thank God for modern technology! Your tweets crack me up, and I have to say, I’m a little addicted to them! I struggle thru my day because I’m up so late just to see what’s going on with you! And reply with hopes you may just see mine amongst the thousands you get!!

I can’t believe the comments on here! Anyway’s was at the show in Kelowna last night. After 18 years I thought is would be fun to take my oldest daughter to a concert. I had a attended the two Vancouver concerts many moons ago. Wow, the outfits and attitudes of some of the girls. You must have a great time just people watching. The show was great and we really enjoyed it. After the show my daughter wanted to see the buses and we drove out the back to see. A few girls were standing at the gates being very graphic ( I had a lot of explaining on the way home to my 9 year old). You completely made her day when you came over to the fence and signed her piece of paper. Not to many artists are able to have fans of two generations like you have. Thank you again for visiting the small venues and I hope you enjoyed the Okanagan. We are very proud of it! All the best to all of you and the rest of the group. Glad to see Donnie is still such a flirt!

I have met you twice and am going for the 3rd time in VA Beach. I am so glad that it makes you this happy to not only be doing what you obviously love, but doing it for all of us. Every single one of us have this extremely special place for you guys in our hearts. People who do not understand what I’m talking about are not real fans. We love you so much and thank you so much for taking your time away from your families to come back together and do this for US. In a weird way, we all feel like we actually know you because we have followed you and loved you from the beginning and we will do the same to the end and then some. You have got to be the hottest boy in show business. I have been a fan of NKOTB since you guys first started in the the late 80’s early 90’s and now I am 36 years and have a daughter of my own. I’m from Toronto and I can’t tell you how happy I was to hear that you guys were coming back for a summer tour. I have never gotten the opportunity to meet you or the guys, that would be something truly amazing. We came to see you when you were playing at the ACC in toronto this past September and as soon as the lights went off and it was showtime, I felt like I was 16 years old. You guys are truly amazing at what you do, and I am truly happy that you guys came together again. Counting the days until you are here in toronto again!!! I’m so excited!!

Thank you so much for coming out to kelowna for the concert. I had the time of my life with my bestfriend, you came out to a small group of us and it was so cool to talk to you, wish i could of met all of you but oh well. I have listen to your music for the last 20 years , and i felt like a kid again and loved it. you guys put on such a great show something i will never forget. And when ever you do your next tour i will be there for sure. You guys put on the best show and can’t believe i actually met you. thank you agin and say thank you to the rest of them for the best night, i haven’t had one in a long time.. Please say this isn’t going to be your last tour. I saw the show on Saturday in Saskatoon and the only thing that would have made it better was if I could have seen it with my sister (she was in Vegas at the time, some people priorities…)

WOW! Joey your an amazing MAN! This blog gives another reason for making me “sick!” Goosebumps creeping from my neck down to my arms! Ok ok I know this is my second response to your blog, but what can I say? I read your blog again today because I needed a pick me up after a long work day. I want to tell you again how much it means to me that you are going on tour and “PLEASING” all of your adoring fans again. From the time that I begged my parents to let me go to the NKOTB concert at the Ohio State Fair in 1989 to now, I have enjoyed the gift you have brought to us. Now, I didn’t get to see you in 1989, but I did make sure that I was at the Columbus show a couple weeks ago and I will be at the Cincinnati show in June. I want to let you know, also, that the sound of your voice is one of my favorite sounds. I enjoy your tweets, they keep me laughing. I saw a quote today and thought of you and the guys.

All I can say is NKOTB ROCKS!! Saw you in Portland, ME in March after not seeing you since you visited Old Orchard Beach back in the 80’s. I went with my 2 sisters and we rocked out to the right of the stage up front for 2 hrs. Thanks for coming back. I must say that I wasn’t expecting the return, but am thankful for it. I have to say that you guys sound better then ever. I listen to your CD on a daily basis and am hoping to catch up with you all again soon. It is not often that I find a CD that I enjoy more then one song on and I can say with out hesitation that THE BLOCK is a fine collection of songs. Rock On NKOTB. We love you.

Joe I have spent the day watching Videos of interviews and performances from around the UK (remember the 8:15 to Manchester those great T-shirts!).
The best part was watching them with my son who got to see the funny and cool side of my Man Band. He is now singing Dirty Dawg!
Anyway It can often be difficult trying to relay to those around us why we are or how it feels to be a fan of the NKOTB. And now we get the chance to tell you guys how it feels, through facetime and Twitter…be it brief or only 140 characters a time. Guess what im stuck, words can never explain! Your blog however, did it for me…You had me in tears!! The fact that you have your moments when you feel the same and you ‘get it’ is overwhelming. Hi Joe, I just saw you guys in concert last night in Victoria..and the love is definitely still alive in a big way. So glad you r back! At nearly 31, the crazy feeling i had was so much more intense than when i was 12! I hear what you are saying in your blog…I think the lyrics to “Lost in this Moment with You,” by Big and Rich (don’t know if u r into country) sum up how i felt at certain moments last night. I couldn’t believe it when all of a sudden you all were right behind me on the little spinning stage. Whew Joe! You know how to say it! I love following you guys on Twitter, but I know what you mean, it’s hard to write all that you want to say in 140 letters. I love the fact that I get to keep in touch with you guys every day, I fell so connected to you and can tell you really do care. I know you do or you wouldn’t be where you are today, this road and journey that we are on together rocks! I never thought over the past 15 years that I would be emailing, texting, or communication with Joe Mac! Ok, now that I finally figured out how to comment on a blog, I can tell my whole life story. Twitter just doesn’t do it for me, considering I have so much to say. Sometimes you cross a person or people in your life who could potentially be one of your soul mates. I have some of the best friends in the whole wide world (including my man. ) My friends and I have known each other for about 14 years and I can honestly say we are soul mates. It was meant to be and extremely hard to fight. Sometimes you just have to accept and embrace it.
When my two younger sisters and I were kids we begged my mom to let us go to the New Kids concert. At that time she didn’t realize how much it meant to us. She felt bad when she found out my uncle took my cousin. We never let her forget that. For Christmas that year we got a New Kids concert video tape. We watched it over, and over again and knew all of the moves. In November 2008 I decided to take my sisters to the concert in Vancouver. The concert was what we had always dreamt of as kids. Before the concert we put in the old concert video and reminisced. When I got to the concert and saw you wearing the smiley jacket, I was blown away. I loved it when I was younger and to see you wearing it brought back so many memories. That was like sex for me. It was awesome.
After the first concert tour my friends and I figured out that none of us had seen the concert when we were younger. We decided that was the bond we had together. When we were kids it felt like everyone got to go to the concert except for us. Their friendship means so much to me, that I decided to take them on a girl’s trip to see New Kids in Saskatoon. I offered the trip to all of my closest friends. Only 4 of us could make it, one of them being a friend who lives in Saskatoon already. It is only 5 hours to drive from Edmonton to Saskatoon. All of which was all filled with New Kids songs and stories from we were younger. Our girl’s weekend turned out to be awesome and something we will never forget.
You guys should be so proud of yourselves. You have brought so many friends and family together and have brought out the youth in all of us. You are AMAZING!

Hi Joey baby! Great to hear from ya! Words can not express how much you and the guys mean to me…. sine 88 you guys have and always will mean the world to me! And i mean that with all my love from the bottom of my heart and soul. Through the years (even after you walked away 15 yrs ago)your music and the love I feel when I listen to your sweet voices have brought me through some very hard times in my life.Ever since the greenville show way back in 90, when times got rough, I’ve always recalled Donnie telling all the fans there that they were special. I took/take that to heart and very personally. You all have helped me through long boughts of depression and my divorce from my 1st love. Before him you were my first loves! Your shows are like sex to me… HOT! You guys know how to turn me on and make me want more!
From the bottom of my heart thanks for the great memmories and thanks for an awsome reunion!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys, PLEASE NEVER stop doing what you do best, making all of us hapy and crazy!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE you guys endlessly!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Joe for this entry. It makes me see that you guys do try to really connect with us or that you recognize how sincere most of us are about what ya’ll have meant to our lives. It is a real blessing to be experiencing all of this again. The awesome thing about it is I am getting to share it with my little girls. You guys being back has brought some much needed excitement back to my life. Don’t get me wrong, I have an amazing life with my husband and two beautiful little girls but they are always the focus of my life. There’s a lot of Hannah Montana and Barney and elmo around our house. Having the NKOTB back around has helped me to remember who I am again other than mommy and wifey:) Thank you, thank you, thank you and God bless. P.S. just humor me for a moment as I give you just one little piece of advice. As much as we want you guys to keep this up forever just don’t let it affect your families (wife & kids). They need you more than we do.

Hi NKOTB,
My name is Kim. Born in Alaska and some how floated to Birmingham Al where I am now. I just wanted to take a few minutes to write before I lose my nerve. I’m sure all of you get this all of the time from nearly everyone that you talk to but I have to speak my mind for just a minute.
Congratulations on the reunion guys. I was sad when NKOTB split. Honestly I was. There’s only about…..ahem…10 years between us so….my childhood was ofcourseee all about The New Kids…I just wanted to thank you for making a lot of my child hood memories happy ones….For example…before you start laughing and rolling your eyes check this out….LoL….When I got my first stereo as a kid….The first cassette that was played was Hangin’ Tough…I fast forwarded the tape to Please Don’t Go Girl and sang my heart out…Months went by before that tape ever left the stereo….LoLoL…Then the first thing that I remember saving money for on my own was a pay per view concert on cable…I was 12 years old…LoL….See it’s little things like this that made my childhood…lol…I just wanted to say thanks for making that impact a positive one…i mean not intentional for obvious reasons we all know (regretfully never met before)…LoL…but thank you.
That’s all I wanted to say…and Good Luck in all of your endeavors…You’ve been my favorites for most of my life…over 20 years of it anyway…(born in 78)…Stay Blessed!!!!

I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you guys are back together. I was 14 when you split and it was like a boyfriend broke my heart I cried for day and I followed everyones solo career. When I heard that you guys were getting back together to make new music, it was like you never left the love affair was back on. I knew that you would be better than ever. I will be at the show in Cincinnati on June 27th 2009, I can’t wait I know that it will be great! And Joey I have to tell you that you were my first love I asked you to marry me in 1991 when I seen you concert.

We as fans are also really blessed to have such guys like you. Some stars don’t bother to talk to their fans or anything, but you guys do and that’s why we all love you so much.
I met you at the meet and great in Amsterdam in February and I really loved your attitude. I was completely amazed for meeting you guys at last, my dream since I was about 9 years old (now I’m 28) and I was totally overwhelmed and didn’t know what to do (I think I didn’t even remember my own name). You talked to me and at first I didn’t even realize who you were, but I was inmediately calmed down. Not only was it my dream coming true, I was also (and still am) pregant and so very emotional, but you calmed me down like I think no one else could do at that moment, as a normal person, not as a star. Thát is the kind of guys you are and thát is why we love you that much, even -and maybe more- after all those years. I love you for who and how you are!

Either way, I got this! I’m SOOOO feelin’ this blog. It’s the BEST ONE YET besides the one back in December about buying a tree in LA! Your point in this blog is my GOAL IN LIFE ON THE CRUISE. TO CONNECT. So yeah, the 5 of you ruled my heart since 1988 and I’m all start sruck..but it’s more than that for you and I. 5 Brothers and THIS ONE IN A MILLION SISTA….all the respect I’ve held for you all these years. Beyond the dream of you ever coming back to grace me with your on-stage presence, I always thought of you and how the group could light a stadium on a wide spread emotional fire! You did it on my TV screen, you did it live, you did it on the radio and in my cassette player. You did it for one of my birthday parties on a home video… alllll the girls were rockin’ FUNKY FUNKY X-MAS (my D.O.B. 12/21/79) You did it in my cd player at christmas time with the years that followed. I remember telling an old boyfriend how much I love the New Kids and damn if he didn’t buy me the New Kids SUPER HITS and pack it in 25 boxes for me to unwrap before I got it in my hands. My parents laughed their asses off! AND YOU ARE HERE AGAIN DOING IT NOW. For real, the New Kids are to me what Elvis and the Beatles were to my mom. AND MY MOM GETS TO EXPERIENCE IT ALL OVER AGAIN WITH ME ON THE CRUISE. REMEMBER VIOLET AND NICOLE BECAUSE I AM SOOOOOOOOO SEEKING THAT CONNECTION. I have to say however, that the connection you feel.. I feel like it’s gotta be better than sex! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Okay MAYBE I HAVE NOT HAD SEX WITH A NEW KID! New Kids,
Can’t tell you how disappointed I was this morning to learn your tour date in Birmingham had been cancelled! I took my daughter to see you 3 times when she was a teen and I had bought a ticket package for $350 to take her to see you again- with good seats!! Now it’s too late to get good seats in Atlanta. We really wanted to see you again!
