Hi everyone,
I want to tell you how touched and grateful I am for the outpouring of support you have given me, the Betty Wood Foundation and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Thousands of you purchased the NKOTB pink ribbon tank tops, t-shirts, and I’ve heard that you’re hosting fundraising events and organizing walk teams all over the world. I just want to say thank you to EVERYONE who is volunteering their time to help end breast cancer forever. I appreciate everything you’re doing, and the people at Susan G. Komen for the Cure really appreciate it as well. Every dime we raise from this effort will go directly to Komen, and we’re setting up a link right now that will allow you to make your donations directly to Komen through my site, in memory of my mother. We’ll post the link on rememberbetty.org, on Facebook and on Komen’s site as soon as it’s ready.
I also want to remind you to do your breast self-exams, get a mammogram when it’s time and to just take care of yourselves. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, but 98% of those women will beat it if they are diagnosed early. I promise you that I will keep fighting to help create a world without breast cancer, a world where my fans can be proud of the great things we are accomplishing together and most importantly, a world where my daughters will grow up without fear of losing their lives to this awful disease. LET’S FIND A CURE TOGETHER!
Love Always
Danny

Hi Danny,
I think everything you are doing in memory and honor of your mother is amazing. I am very active with the American Cancer Society but I don’t limit my support to breast cancer, although my aunt is a breast cancer survivor. My uncle is a prostate cancer survivor, and right now my mother is battling a very difficult and advanced case of lung cancer that has spread to her bones. She has always been active and healthy, and she doesn’t smoke, but as you know cancer doesn’t discriminate. I want to work to end all cancers, and I know we have the power to do it.
Much love,
Katie

You are amazing Danny! Thank you for continuing to fight for this cause. It’s wonderful that New Kids are willing to put in so much effort for it. Someone mentioned that Carnival has a Breast Cancer walk on their ships. We are all hoping there will be something that coincides with your fund raising efforts for that. I know everyone would participate! I definitely would
Love you!

Well I maybe doing it if I’m not pregnant by then, if I am I’ll be sponsoring all the girls and will be there to support them. And anything I can do in the meantime to support any cancer group I will do it! Lets Get This and end cancer forever!!! Love you guys xxxxx

I learnt how hard it is to loose a loved one to breast cancer. Especially seeing their health fail in front of you and knowing there is nothing you can do. I lost my aunt last year April to breast cancer (my mum’s sister and my second mum). I’ve never felt so much pain in my life before, so last year me and my sister’s done a breast cancer 5km run in her honour…..I do believe my aunt is up there above and is my guardian angel….so much has happened to me that i do believe a higher being is making it happen….I’ll always remember the smiles and chats we had and the pain is still there and i have days when i’m down, sad and cry like a baby, but each day i get stronger remembering her and how positive my aunt was through all the pain.
I’m sure your mother is looking down at you, with a big smile on her face, knowing her little boy is making a difference, even if it is for one person. Thank you for caring……Repinder x (p.s sorry to post such a long blog lol) x x x

Danny,
Thank you for doing this for us and in memory of your mother. My best friend’s mom died 2 years ago after having breast cancer on and off for 8 years. I can only describe the way she lived her life as Amazing Grace. She never complained or let it get her down. I miss her terribly. I want to do the Avon 3 day Milwaukee to Chicago, but my doctor said no. So I will just donate whatever I can whenever I can. Your mom is watching over you and your kids and I know she must be so proud. Love, Carey

Danny - Thank you for all of the attention that you bring to this fight. I know you do it in honor of your mother and because of your daughters, but thank you on behalf of all of us NKOTB fans who are inspired by your humble concern for all women. Everyone has at least 1 important woman in their lives: our moms, sisters, daughters, or just friends and we would like to have them in our lives for as long as possible. Your girls are lucky that they have such a wonderful father; and your mom is lucky to have such a wonderful son! See you in Hershey!

Danny,
your blog has touched me a lot. Thank you for all the love you’re showing us. I hope one day people will be able to live serenely without fearing of being hit by that horrible disease. I admire people like you who try to make the world a better place where to live.
I met you at the Paris Meet&Greet and even though I wasn’t able to talk with you, I was honoured just to greet you. Don’t know if you remember me but I asked Donnie if I could have a special picture with just the four of you for my birthday and I am very grateful to you all for that.
It’s a memory I’ll keep in my heart forever even though it seems a problem to get the picture, according to ILAA…
Hope you were given the chocolates
Much respect
Ps: next is Jon
could you tell him please to check his forum?
Thanks a lot, I’m sad when thinking about the fact that I might not get my special birthday picture but at least I’ll remember that moment forever.
Much respect

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being who you are and believing in something so much that you are able to help women battle this together. I know you are doing this because you want to, but if it weren’t for folks like you who really believe in change, no action would take place. So thank you for your compassion, your efforts, your time, and your determination. It’s what the world needs most right now. God Bless, keep on keepin on.

Hi Danny,
It’s so nice to hear from you again. I wanted to say that I am so glad, but not surprised, that your mission to help spread the word about breast cancer awareness is going better than you expected. I have seen time and time again the capacity of Blockheads to do great things, especially when it’s for a cause so many of us believe in.
I hope you are having a fantastic day today and I wish you and the Boys best of luck for tomorrow and the next day. May every great thing you are receiving now, continues tenfold. You guys deserve it.
All my love and support always,

Although it’s not breast cancer, but my uncle has cancer and what he has to go through, with check ups, chemo, emotionally, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. You have good days and bad days - flippin rollercoaster - it’s horrible.
If we all do our part in finding a cure for whatever type of cancer - we will succeed!
100% with you all the way Danny - well done!

Hi
Well done u r doin such a g8 job with raising awareness and money etc, your mother would b so proud.
I agree keep up the awareness and check yourself as the earlier u catch it the better it is.
As My mum had breast cancer last year and it was so scary as i never really thought it would happen to me or my family. That sounds stupid but i think it was because there was no history in the family so i`m so thankful that after a year my mums fine after all the treatment and op`s. but it opened my eyes while sitting in waiting rooms in the hospital over the last year and now at check up`s and seeing lots of men and women young and old that it is such common thing so we need to find a cure. So i`m raising as much money as i can to help find that cure and to keep up the fight to make people aware.
Take care and wish u all the best

It was the best use of money I have had the privilege to use in a long time. Thank you for your encouragement to get the message of this terrible disease out to as many people as possible. Most “celebrities” don’t use their platform of influence to promote a good cause but you and the guys do.
Like you told me at Hammersmith…..let’s keep raising all that F#@*ing money for the Komen foundation. Together we will GET THIS!!!!!

Awwww Danny. You are so sweet. Your blog made me cry. Everything you do to remember your mom amazes me. I think it’s great. Your mom would be so proud, not just for what your doing for her, but for the wonderful person that you have become. It is obvious that all you say and do comes right from the heart, and that’s what I love about you. I am right there with you. Let’s find a cure!!!

Dearest Danny,
this message just said so much about what a wonderful person you are, it was just so touching and sincere! Thank you so much!
It is so important to know that there are people out there trying everything they can to help find a cure and supporting you do this is the least we can do. Its just a small amount of giving back to you what you gave us throghout the years!
I try to run the Susan G. Komen Race for the cure in Frankfurt Germany every year and even got all my family to run with me. Its just so amazing to see all the women with the pink shirts that survived breast cancer and now walk the race proud and strong and it reminds me why this isso important.
Thanks for caring, thanks for keeping us aware, thanks for just being a great person, father, brother, son! Your mom I am sure will never stop being proud of you! How could she…you are an amazing man!
Love you lots and always!

Dear Danny,
Your blog just made me cry but it also made me so happy that you are doing this for women all over the world. Thank you for making people aware of this and for raising money for the fight against breastcancer and for caring so much about your female fans.
Thank you too for mentioning the dutch fans (who raised money for Pink Ribbon) during the concert in Amsterdam.

We hope it has made even more people aware of this fight against breastcancer.

Thank you, Danny, for everything you have done. My grandmother fought breast cancer and was declared cancer free. However, Medicare/Medicaid does not include the brain on the body scan to check if all cancer is gone from the body. She was diagnosed 4 months later with stage 4 brain cancer.
Thank you again….see you on 3/25 in Maine

Hi Danny,
Thank you for your dedication to Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention. Because of you, you helped me to remember all the important people in my life that I’ve lost to cancer. Organizing events is not my forte, however, I will be involved in local events to raise money for breast cancer. I did buy the Tank top in support your mother’s memory and I hope to attend one of the planned fundraisers.

Hi Danny, I had a cancer scare in november 07 . I was 31 at the time. for a week I pretended that this wasn’t happening. My grandad lost three of his sisters to breast cancer so it is in our family and just didn’t want this to be happening to me. I have two boys Lee who’s 12 & Adam Who’s 8 and the thought of what would happen to them if I wasn’t around made me see that I had to go and have it checked out. My husband was with me through the whole thing and thankfully I was fine but I have never been more afraid in my life. I’m doing race for life in Gatehead and have found someone else through the web site who is doing it as well.
love always

Hiya Danny, thank you for your message - it really touched my heart.
My mum is a breast cancer survivor - almost 4 years remission now, and recently we had a wee scare. She was at her usual check-up last week, and she got called back in yesterday for a mammogram because her consultant thought there was something there again. Lucily there wasnt and he was just being over-cautious, but it could have been the cancer back again.
I guess what im trying to say is that not everybody is as lucky as my mum. And its great that so many people are taking time out of their busy schedules to try and help out in the fight against this terrible disease. I help out as much as i can through sponsered walks and stuff like that. Who knows, maybe one day we will find a cure. Until then we must keep doing all we can to raise awareness.
Keep up the good work Danny, im sure your mother is one very proud woman when she looks down and sees all that you do.

Danny, seriously, thank YOU for sharing such a personal loss to try to spare other women and families from this disease. After my dad died I found the cancer fundraising events that I had been participating in for years to be suddenly too painful and too hard. I admire you tons for being strong enough to put good back out into the world after that loss. Thanks for getting me back in the fight. You’re doing your mom proud!
February 18th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
Thank you Danny. Having this on all sides of my & my husband’s family make we want to do it for my daughter, too. Your mom was a fantastic woman and would be proud of you for so many things. Can’t wait to see you & the guys again!!

Thank you Danny for that blog. You are such a great, sensitive and caring guy. Your mom must have been a great mom and she did such a great good job with you.I am sure she is looking down from heaven with a big smile and is so so very proud of you.
I had my first mammogram.I thought it was going to be easy and just in and out but it turned out so much more. They took extra pic of the left breast and that worried me and then I had to go to the hospital for a sonogram.I found out that there was a thickening on that side.I have to go back in 6 months to do another mammogram.I didn’t think that at age 38 that I would have to worry but I do.Thanks to you and your mom I have been more vigilant on checking myself and think more about it.I am so sorry that you had to loose your mom to this horrible disease.
Take care of yourself.

Hiya Danny!
I know that your daughters are very proud to call you Dad!!
Thanks to you and the guys for what you are doing to help find a cure for this terrible disease! My little sister, who was a fan back in the day, thought that she had breast cancer and she wasn’t even 30 years old. She found a small lump through a self-exam. She had a mascectomy and found out it was benign. That was the good part. The bad part was knowing that she might have the disease. Just the scare was not easy to take. That is why self-exams are soooo important! Keep up the good work!! Your mother raised a VERY fine man!!!
See you April 7th in Green Bay. I am coming 5*. I CAN’T WAIT to finally meet you!!

Dearest Danny, I think it is great that you and the guys are helping out with breast cancer awareness. Both my Mom and Aunt had cancerous lumps removed in their breasts. Sadly they both passed away 4 months apart from each other. My children have been participating in events for both cancer and The Heart Association. Last year my daughter who was 9 at the time had her hair cut of to donate to Locks of Love. If we all just play a small part, we can make a big difference! I love you guys for your compassion.

Danny, I think that is a great cause and pray that someday they do find the cure and all women can beat the cancer. I have had some family members go through the diagnose and they are beating the cancer. I was wondering if there is anyway you can get where the nkotb teeshirts for the cure are in bigger sizes like 3x or even 4x because not everyone is small. But keep up the great work with the breast cancer awareness and the group. I just loved that u guys are back together and still can make all of us go crazy. Keep up the great work!!!

Danny,
I know you have already gotten so many responses already, but I wanted to write a short message.
I checked out your site rememberbetty.org What a BEAUTIFUL site you have created in memory of your mother. Obviously I never knew her, but you really did a fantastic job of describing your memories and feelings of her and it was so wonderful to read it all.
My mother fought a battle with colon cancer and I am happy to say is in remission now. I am so thankful every day to be able to say that.
You are doing a wonderful thing by getting the message out to all of us and reminding us to constantly be checking and making sure we take care of ourselves. Thank you for that!
Can’t wait to see you again in May–on the Cruise!

See this is why we love you Danny. It’s because we care about you and you care about us. I bought a pink ribbon tank at the October Houston concert and I gave it to my daughter. She has it on her wall. I see it when I walk by her room. It’s a great reminder of not only the fun we had together at your concert but that there is a killer out there that we need to get rid of. I want to be around for her as long a humanly possible. So I will keep doing my part in this fight.

Hi Danny,
Thank you for your commitment to finding a cure for breast cancer. I lost my mother to the disease in 1997 and my life has never been the same since then. But we all move forward and try to make the best of our lives and do things in honor of our loved ones. Thanks again and I do hope and pray that we can find a cure.

Danny,
Thank you for being concerned with the health of your fans. Unfortantly Breast Cancer runs in my family, along with too many other kinds of cancer. It’s hard to loose someone to any form of cancer, and I am so glad you are setting up the link for breast cancer. Another foundation that fights cancer is Relay For Life, which is a 24 hr walk. It is a very humbling experience.
Thanks again for sharing the story of your mom’s last days. It reminds me of my mom’s last days. Your music brings inspiration to me on hard days.

As we know Cancer is an ugly diesase that has left many families torn apart as it did mine when my dad passed away two years ago from Lung Cancer. I will support any Cancer Foundation in hopes to one day find the cure to end all Cancers!!!
I purcahsed the Breast Cancer tank top at the starting of your tour in T.O and when I met you that night you actually signed it for me and did it with such pride:) I’m sure your mom is looking down on you now smiling at all you are doing in her honour and to help others who may be fighting Breast Cancer. She raised you well and is def very proud of her boy.
I look forward to meeting you again when you boys come to London, ON…I will have another tank for you to sign
Lots of Love,
Luisa

thanks so much for your generosity and bringing awareness to this issue. i was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer when i was 31 years old, and now i’m 33 and just trying to get my life back and raise my two young ones. i’ve gone through 6 months of hellish chemo, 2 months of radiation, and finally a double mastectomy. so now i’m just getting to the reconstructive surgical procedures, which is a lot more fun and hopeful than the other stuff i had to go through. it’s a really tough thing to experience, so i want to also bring more awareness that younger women are getting breast cancer at higher rates. i didn’t even have a family history of breast cancer, so this was a total shock to me. so please, everyone, be aware of your body and demand that you receive attention when you feel that something suspicious arises.
February 19th, 2009 at 3:15 am
Thank you for the link! I am just 31 healing from breast cancer for 4 years - sadly convention cant do much… There is more to healing it than just an early scan, but I am sure that with growing awareness more and more women will learn how to heal their lives…
Lots of love and light, Tas xxxxx
February 19th, 2009 at 4:30 am
Thanks Danny…I’m sure your mom would be proud, but then again, she was probably proud of you everyday anyway. As a nurse I do what I can to always teach and encourage my patients to do their self-exams. It’s so easy to do…and free…and can so easily save lives-if only they will remember and do it.
I would like to add also that although breast cancer is thought of primarily as a women’s disease it can, of course not nearly as commonly, be found in men as well. It DOES happen. Personally knowing a man who had to undergo a radical mastectomy because of it has caused me to feel that I need to help increase awareness in this lesser population. So..that said..guys…be sure to check yourselves. We wouldn’t want to lose any of YOU to this awful disease either(and you don’t have to have “man-boobs”..lol..to get it).
Ok..that’s my spiel…
Thanks Danny for having such a big heart. It was nice to finally hear from you-it’s been awhile. We love you.
Love always,
Detroit 5*/Dunkin Donuts Mama,
Skye:)

Hi Danny,
Thank you for the wonderful message. You are a sweet guy. I am so impressed with the way you have remembered your mom. You must have had such a great relationship. I just had my first mammogram about a month or so ago and I was so nervous to get it done. As a nursing student you would think it would be just the opposite. Anyway, the exam was quick and nothing was found. It is so important for women to get this done. Thanks again for all you and the rest of the guys are doing for breast cancer awareness.
February 19th, 2009 at 8:23 am
Danny, I am sure your mom is with you in spirit right now and she is proud of what a wonderful son she has raised. Love you and can’t wait to see you again soon

Hey Danny,
Reading your Blog brought tears to my eyes as I’m sure it did for many others. I know people who have both won and lost the battle to Breast Cancer and to other cancers. I try to get at least something every year, my mom sells Avon and they have items every year to support the cause and I know I’ve collected many items over the years. She used to have a small store we bought and sold the Breast Cancer items year round.
Thank you for supporting such a great cause and making sure your fans know what is imortant to you. There are so many that never show how much they support a certain cause. All the NK fans love you guys and we not only support you we support the things you believe in also, that’s just the way it’s always been for all of us. You guys are like no other.
I’m hoping to be able to meet you all this Spring at the Des Moines, IA concert. I don’t have 5*, but I’ll be there!
All my love and respect,
Theresa

Danny,
This cause is important to me too. My maternal grandmother died of breast cancer almost thirty years ago. I was not able to meet her unfortunately. But that loss is still in our family today. I want to do what I can to help fight and hopefully find a cure. Thank you for getting the message out there and inspiring us all to do better and be better people and support this cause. I can’t wait to meet you in Nashville and tell you in person how great I think you and the rest of the guys are!

February 19th, 2009 at 2:20 pm
Danny,
Thank you for spreading the word…..Tuesday, 2-17-09 I came to realize how important prevention and education of breast cancer is becuase on that very day my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thank God it was caught early and hopefully after her surgery and radiation she will be OK. Thank you for using your “power in the public” to spread the word.

Hey Danny,
I wanted to buy one of those T-shirts on the tour but after spending all my money on the tickets I had none left! I looked on the store but we don’t seem to be able to buy them on the UK site, is there any way of ordering them in the UK? I really want one to support both the band and your campaign, you’re doing some fantastic work raising funds for such a great cause. If even just one life is saved it is worth it.
Please let us know where us Brits can get one!
Thanks,
Love from Lucy. xxxxx
February 19th, 2009 at 3:24 pm

take care, and i look forward to helping find the cure together…

My first concert was in the 80s at Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky. My best friend & I had 4th row seats, her mother passed away in 1992 after a 10 yr battle with Breast Cancer! She stood outside for about 9 hrs to get us those tickets at the ticket master place.
You have NO idea what it means to both Brandy (my best friend) and me, because we KNOW what it’s like to lose someone so special!!
You guys are SO wonderful!

We should be the ones thanking you for doing so much to help women everywhere. It is our pleasure to participate in way we can to help find a cure to this awful disease.
Let’s do a walk or something on the cruise to raise money! That would be awesome and fun! Do a contest for the people who raise the most money — facetime with the guys!
Keep up the great work!! See in you in April!

Hi Danny!
I would really like to thank you for starting the Betty Wood Foundation.
The first time I went to the website dedicated to your mother,I just cried.
It is such a beautiful tribute and it brought back so many memories of my mom.
A few years ago, I lost my mom to the same horrible disease and I will do everything
I can to help find a cure so no other women or man will have to suffer from this.
I will also continue to donate money to your foundation and
the Susan G. Komen Center too:)
Thank you for mentioning the breast exams & mammograms because they are so important.
I’m always checking(too funny)but nonetheless so necessary.
You have given me so much hope & tell you daughters not to worry, a cure will be found.
Take care
Nat

Great post. Breast cancer, any type of cancer is just horrible. I lost my husband to Hodgkind Lymphoma on January 30th. It’s been so hard without him, but I have our three beautiful children to keep my going. I plan on joining in on the Relay for Life here in Canada…to help with finding a cure for cancer. It’s a horrible disease and hopefully one day we will find the cure for all types of cancer, so that no one else will lose their husband, mother, father, wife or child to this horrible disease. Thank you so much for all you are doing for this.

Thank you for caring about this continuing killer in us women. Breast cancer runs in my family so I am always wondering if it is going to happen to me or not. I don’t want my girls to grow up that way either. I don’t think that words will describe how all your loving fans appreciates what you do. Thank you so much.

I’m hopeful that this disease will soon be a thing of
the past. Thank you for your unwavering support to the
cause. Surely, your mom is proud of what you’re doing.
God bless you and your family.

You are truly a wonderful and beautiful human being. I didn’t know anyone with breast cancer till I moved to this neighborhood I am living in now. My next door neighbor had both of her breasts removed. Hearing her story. Having that type of reality hit you right in the face. Making sure I took care of myself and making sure others did. But I did have the scare of Cervical Cancer. Going threw operations. Thank Goodness they caught it early. I will help in any way I can. Thankyou for all that you are doing.
Much Luv and Luck 2 you.

Hi Danny, Thank you for everything you and the guys are doing. My best friends’s mom was just diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer. She just started her first of many treatments a few days ago. My friend Janice and I are holding a silent auction and benefit dinner for her mom who found out her insurance ended just a month before she found out she had cancer. I have been worried about my friend Janice as well. She just lost her dad in a horrible accident 3 years ago and her mom and sister is all she has left. The good news is, to relieve some of the stress from Janice, I am taking her to come and see you guys on April 7th in Greenbay, WI. It’s the least I can do for a great friend. It has been a childhood dream for both of us to see you guys in concert and we are stoked. See you soon.

It really is the least we can do for all of you. Danny, as a young woman, I have unfortunately noticed all around me, many women who have been affected by breast cancer. The good news I can report is that no one I know has lost their life to it…SO I believe in working hard for a cure and catching these things early. Most of us fans have truly loved all of you for years, and your efforts have done so much for our happiness, that I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say it is a joy and honor to help any cause the New Kids are behind. After all, “No More Games is about positivity. And positivity is not about bein’ soft, it’s about bein’ smart, you suckkkkkkkkaaaaaaaaa!” I love you. Look for me on the cruise…the name is Nicole…..sometimes I’ll have that old school pink NKOTB signature hat and a New Kids pillow case hanging from my belt loop!

Danny, as a breast cancer survivor and mother of an 18 year old daughter, I want to thank you for such a lovely and ongoing tribute to your mom. I also want to remind everyone that some breast cancers do not show up on mammograms or ultrasounds. My tumor was very large, and yet, my mammogram was completely normal. I waited too long to go to the doctor also. Through the grace of God, and medical miracles, I am now cancer free. I didn’t think it was cancer because it was not a round, hard marble-like lump, but more of a mass. This is my main message to women, and also, that breast cancer knows no age. All women need to be in charge of their health and follow their instincts; if you don’t like your doctor find another and always get a second opinion! As a treat for my daughter for all her support and love, we will be on the cruise. Thank you again for all you are doing for your own daughters, for mine, and for all survivors and women. See you in May!!

Hey Danny,
That is wonderful that you care so much and are involved in the fight. I think it says a lot about your character. Also, I think it is awesome that you are using your fame in a positive way to bring attention to something that affects many women. Not only have you helped raise money, but you have also educated yourself about the disease and you are spreading the word. Thanks Danny!

Hey Danny, How you doin’? Great to hear from you. I am sooo glad ppl have been raising money for breast cancer. We have the pink ribbon day going on here in Australia for Jane MacGrath (one of our Australian cricketer’s whose wife passed away last year from breast cancer). It is called the Jane MacGrath Foundation. Breast cancer touches a lot of ppl. Everybody needs to remember to check themselves regularly and it includes men since men can also get breast cancer.

Danny, first so sorry about your mommy! My mom and g-mom both had breast cancer. my mom is cancer free and has been for 3 yrs now. Young woman need to understand the importance of this disease…that if detected early it can be controlled! Ladies Mammograms DO NOT HURT! I am very larged chested and never felt any pain. So no excuses do them. You can get a baseline mammogram @ 35 and if you have family history sooner! Also do your monthly exams in the shower!! Let’s fight this and the best way is knowledge! Be intune to your own health!
Love,

My prayer is that the people you meet will experience this for themselves and “pay it forward.” Maybe oneday we will meet. I look forward to you guys playing in my hometown, Columbus, OH, on April 3rd!!!
Love you lots!

Hey Danny~ Not only am I a lifelong fan, but I can relate to your experience with the battle against breast cancer. My dear friend Janet Billings is also battling her second round (terminal breast cancer). You have inspired me to advocate for her and hold a benefit this May and to consider the future for my 3 daughters! Check it out http://www.janetbillingsbenefit.com. Much love~ Andrea

Hey Danny,
I just want to commend you on keeping this fight alive in memory of your mother and others that have lost someone that they love to this horrible disease and to others that are fighting breast cancer. My mom is a breast cancer SURVIVOR and it’s because of people like you and others that continue the search to find a cure.
Thank you!
Izabel
PS Can’t wait to see you guys here in Kelowna, BC!!!!

Danny,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother. My mother in law died of breast cancer in 2005. I understand how important it is to raise awareness in hopes that no other family will have to go thru the pain of losing someone to this horrible disease. Thank you so much for the blog, from one of the millions of people who know how you and your family feel.
See you all in Tulsa on 03/09/09. Can’t wait!!

Danny, Im not telling you this to bring you down but the shirt you just refered to in your memo was on sale last night in Tulsa. My daughter loves the color pink and at first had picked out that shirt to buy. The lady selling your great shirts told us it wasnt an official NKOTB tee and suggested we buy a differnt one. Just a little insight into this I thought you might want to know. If I had known all the details behind that shirt we definatly would have bought one, if for no other reason than the great cause you guys are supporting. Breast cancer is something important and you want to let your vendors know not to discourage people from buying them. Its not like we wasnt going to spend other money there last night. We spent over 100 dollars our first visit to the stand. Thanks a million for a great show in Tulsa hope to have you guys back close again soon.

No, Danny, Thank you!! My sister is a seven year survivor and I have supported Susan G. Komen since she was diagnosed. Thanks to people like you, there is more widespread support and knowledge about this organization. I just had my students write a paper on Susan G. Komen, fifth graders and they didn’t know what it was. Now that they know they are so supportive and they are so into making a difference. Keep spreading the word!!! Let’s make a difference!! May God bless your mom Danny and every other person who has lost the battle. Let’s show them up there in heaven how much they are still alive in our hearts.

Danny,
At the March 19th Concert in Baltimore, MD, my sister Madison (who LOVES you)
got the breast cancer shirt. We checked out http://www.rememberbetty.org and I cried after I clicked on “About” and read about how you and your children were taking it and everthing. I really cried. It was so sweet of you, Danny.

Bonjour to all 5 New Kids,
well, I gotta say that i’m very excited about seeing your show on Mar 31st
here in Manchester, NH. You see, I grew up in a remote town in New Brunswick,
Canada. I never got a chance to see you live. Now, after all these years, I will finally get that opportunity. Your music has helped me get through the
difficult teenage years and I thank you for that. I’m really glad that you are back together again. Can’t wait to see you soon.
Once a fan, always a fan!
Love, Donna. xox 3/21/2009

Hi Danny… I’m sorry to hear about your mom…this disease is in my family as well…my heart goes out to you… Life as a single mom isn’t easy…i’m always busy…so it wasn’t until your show in Erie Pa…with that wonderful tribute to those you miss on the big screen…that I realized you lost your mom… (I remember wanting to meet her when I was younger)… Keep up the fight… your mom would be proud
