After the show in Vancouver I was talking to a fan- I really don’t
like referring to people as fans, so lets say supporter… That feels
better.
So anyway, I was talking about how after the Seattle show (the
following night) we have to get on a plane at 1 in the morning, then
land in LA at 4 am then be up at 7:30 am for soundcheck at the AMA’s
and then fittings and then a run thru and then try to get a couple
hours sleep before getting ready for red carpet and then the awards
show at 5 pm and then we are the second performance of the night.
Now when I was saying it, I wasn’t really complaining but I guess I
had a little “whoa is me” in my voice, maybe a little dramatic.
And she very dryly said “nice life” with a tad of sarcasm. I got a
good chuckle at it. I’ve felt that I have been rightly grateful thru
out for all the amazing things that have happened to me/us, but it’s
always funny to be checked up on.
All that being said, it was quite a 24 hour period- from rehearsing
once before the show in Tacoma then off to All Access VIP to meet our
supporters (these parties are getting more and more fun… Now groups
are performing for us), then an awesome show in Tacoma, then the
flight where you were lucky to get any sleep with Jon Knight and
Natasha Bedingfield yapping away into the wee hours of the morning.
Then 2 hours sleep then some sort of a run thru in a hazy morning fog.
For me to go back to the hotel after that and close my eyes and close
off all the noise and excitement takes alot of patience and focus.
That’s an oxymoron, “trying hard to fall asleep”.
But I did cuz I personally would have been a zombie if I didn’t.
After all that, the AMA’s was a really good time. I felt a solid unity
among us and I thought our performance showed that. Through the whole
whirlwind, we had fun and put together a good performance.
I was not surprised when Donnie told everybody to get up (he’s been
doing that for years, but it isn’t any less ballsy to do so now) and I
wasn’t totally surprised when the whole audience stood up, but it felt
good to feel the love.
I thought the whole show looked amazing with a bunch of great
performances- Beyonce is from another planet, and Ne-yo can handle
that mic stand, huh? It was great to be back at the show. And let me
tell you something, out of all the people there, they were still
screaming our names from the cheap seats… Not during the
performance, I’m talking about when we were sitting in the audience
during commercial breaks.
I didn’t hear any other names being shouted.
Those are the kind of fans… I mean supporters we have.
I hear bands and artists say alot how they have the best fans in the
world and I’m sure they feel that way.
I think we have the most special fans in the world.

Hey. We are grateful as well that you gave us the chance to see you again after so many years. You ROCKED the house in Tacoma and ROCKED the house at the AMAs!!! I do not know how you are juggling all the performances, family time, personal time…but I am impressed. I am glad you had a good time.

In case it hasn’t been said yet, THANK YOU!! I don’t think as “supporters” we can ever express how excited and GRATEFUL we are that y’all have come back. The AMAs was spectacular!!! As a single parent I can understand the frustration of juggling everything but in the end it all comes out to be worth it!!! So have a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING! By the way, I enjoyed watching the Celtics kick my Timberwolves but last friday!

hey joe, just wanted to say u guys WERE amazing at the AMA’s no doubt and u dont know just how much it means to us to know u guys feel the exact same way about us as we do u we have a connection like no other i truly belive it was fated that u 5 guys would form a band all those years ago and come back to us just when u have we never left we waited patiently and now we have u back again making are lives better for it so please dont leave us anytime soon! we love u and know that u guys work ur ass off for us and seeing u guys on that stage all i can say is i was proud like donnie said it was redemtion for us !!

Yes, my friend you were amazing! I’m glad you could feel the love and support from fans, and your peers! It is so well placed and deserved. I will say, though, that I could not handle your life…the schedule you all keep. We all want to see you again so bad, but we want to be sure there is a BLOCK to return. Sometimes we just need someone’s view from the outside to remind us how to be grateful for the things we do have in our lives. That’s all!

Can’t believe I actually got on here before there were hundreds of responses. I loved your performance at the AMAs. My husband was laughing at how excited I was. The choice of songs was awesome and I loved that you guys changed up the medley from previous performances. We really appreciate all of your hard work and know that all of the traveling, rehearsals, performances, press and meet and greets is not easy to keep up. The NKOTB reunion definitely made my year and I can’t wait for the summer tour in 2009. I do hope that you guys get a chance to rest up before then but don’t stay away too long. Thanks again and much love. Hope that Griffin is enjoying the hoodie that I gave him.

AWWWW, well thanks for saying that about us. You guys deserve every bit of the attention you are getting. We are just glad that you guys have decided to come back!! I will be 25 on February 5 and I have been a “supporter” since I was 5. I saw you guys in Charlotte, NC on 10/30 and I think you guys were amazing!! We all know that you guys are really busy and it can be really tiring. The AMA performance was really good too. I watched it since I wasn’t able to be there and I could tell it looked like everyone had a great time. Jimmy Kimble (however you spell it) got the date wrong though. He said since 1998…wasn’t it suppose to be 1988??? Anyway I just wanted to let you know that we appreciate everything you guys are doing and I can’t wait to see you on the Summer Tour!!!!

Good Words Joe!!!! It was an awesome performance. And icing on an already delicious come back cake, was someone at my work, who (sadly) was not really a fan befre said, she liked the performance and was going to get the new CD!!!! I was like “rock on!!!” After all my concert (New Orleans ROCKED!!!!) talk and they are on this show or that show She tuned in to see you guys!!!! Hope to get to see you guys again!!!

You think you are grateful for us? We wouldn’t be who we are without you guys! As long as you are there for us-we will be there for you. We have known for the past 15 years that you guys would be back. It was a time for all of us to grow. Not just us-the fans-turning from girls into women-but you turning from young men into grown men. We have all had to chance to enrich our lives and learn lessons from marriages and divorces and births and deaths. And right at a time when the world seems to be hanging by the last thread-war, recession, natural disasters, etc-there you are. The group of guys-the lifestyle-the joy that had been there at our most impressionable time. You have made it all so much easier to get through. We all have our hardships-you “rockstar lifestyle” guys included-but when you have something positive to focus on-be it a “boy band” that made you happy as a kid or a butterfly going past on a sunny day-you feel better.
Thank you Joe. Thank you Jonathan. Thank you Donnie. Thank you Danny. Thank you Jordan. You have spent the last 20 years enriching our lives. Hopefully we have done the same. We will always love you. We will always be grateful. That is a promise.

Hey Joe… I’m a single Mom of two preschoolers with a full time job outside the home as well. Needless to say; I can barely get everything done. I must say, though, that having you and Jordan and Jonathan and Donnie and Danny back out there, making music and never failing to give it your all in your perfomances has filled me with a renewed energy. I am eternally grateful to y’all and so happy and proud and filled with love for you. Keep doing what you’re doing, keep drinking it all in. We, the suppporters, can only hope that our love and faith in y’all keeps y’all going as much as y’all keep us going. I hope that y’all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope to see you guys back in Minneapolis/St. Paul next summer.

Takes one to know one, Joey - you think we’re special, and we know YOU are! We’re only “special” because we have something (you 5!) that moves us, at our cores, in our souls, in a rather indescribable way. There’s a connection between all of us that perhaps doesn’t make any sense, but it’s there. It’s a little crazy, maybe, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I wish I’d been at the AMA’s, even in the cheap seats, to see that wonderful performance live, to experience that moment, to be one of those voices cheering for you. Sadly, I was at home on the other side of the continent, in my pjs on the couch… but still basking in the happy that you guys being on that stage again brought me. You killed it, you brought the house DOWN in that performance and I hope all of you are SO damn proud of yourselves!

wow, when i logged in 2 seconds ago, there was only five comments… I guess that is the nature of the special fans that Mr Mac has just spoken on. Growing up even though I saw fans like me at signings and concerts and on TV, it is funny how it is only now that I actually realise that there are thousands of other people out there who are just as crazily devoted and in love with these five guys from Boston as I am. We are terribly protective of our boys and woe betide anyone who tries to take a swipe. This is my first comment on these blogs and for any of the guys and for all the fans that read this I just want to say I am so enjoying this second go-round and never knew ho much I needed and wanted it until it happened, and it is still happening, so I am drinking it up and eating it up and just revelling in the amazing expereince!

I like that better Joe!! Supporters rather than fans. When I hear the word fan, i think about the screaming fainting girls who can’t control themselves. LOL
When I met you guys in Calgary, I was so nervous, but I was so comfortable as well. You guys are down to earth and real! I like that!!!
I had gone there by myself from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and it was worth every penny and all my time.
You say you have special supporters? Well, we have the most special guys to cheer on!! There are so many of us that have followed you everywhere. We’re not obsessed, we’re passionate, we’re not Crazy, We’re dedicated!!!

I feel like a proud mama, you guys truly rocks. Your performance was amazing and I am so glad the reviews from the media are all great. Dirty Dancing was really great and it is amazing to watch the response from the audience. Keep it going guys and good luck, keep healthy and plenty of rest. You didn’t have to reunite, you didn’t have to do meet & greets, you didn’t have to give face time, you didn’t have to create and amazing site where you can keep in contact with your supporters via blogs or vlogs…but you did it all…for us! Hey Joe,
This is why we love you all so much because you appreciate us so much! A lot of artists do say they have the best fans in the world…but we truly do have the best artists (you) in the world. I think the fans screaming all night is just one small example of that. And what an awesome example! It might bother the “non supporters” but that’s ok. They’ll never know what this relationship is like… and every artist at the AMA’s was probably wishing it was their names they were hearing. For that alone, NKOTB should get more respect. We aren’t crazy, we’re passionate…and it’s only because you love and respect us back. Thank you for being so PRESENT with your supporters. Aww Joe…you’re such a sweetheart. You know you guys are loved by ALL of your supporter’s and I do think you have to best supporter’s in the world. I don’t see anyone else’s supporter’s doing the things that we do for you, for them….If that makes any sense.
I am also so proud of all of you for everything you do…The fact that you can manage an everyday normal life, (wives, kids, etc.) is amazing in itself. Joey Mac, I love you man… And as each day passes, I think I love you more (don’t tell Donnie, LOL)… After years of seeing you as a “little brother”, I’m really respect the artist and man that you have become now. It amazes me each day how much all of us (you guys and the fans) have changed, but stayed the same.
You are so gracious with the fans and when I had the opportunity to meet you in Atlanta, you were so engaged with all the “supporters” in the room. I just want to go out and have a beer with you and watch a Red Sox game… It would be a blast!

I was in the VIP group in Tacoma where we performed for you guys and my husband had the cue cards (you actually called him, “my man with the cue cards”). You liked it so much you gave us backstage passes and put all of us fans in group M on cloud 9!!! We had a short meet and greet with you but you said we would spend more time with you after the show. Unfortunately when Zack came backstage after the show and gave us the bad news that you had to leave to catch you plane we were sad but totally understood. We figured you had a whirlwind couple of days. If you tour next year, perhaps you could work it out to give us a raincheck for those backstage passes??? That would be awesome!
You guys ROCKED IT on the AMAs and we were so proud of you. It was surreal for my husband and eye to watch the show knowing that not even 24 hours prior we were meeting you, singing for you and watching you on stage. Felt like we were seeing friends on the AMAs!!!
You have all had to juggle so much this past year and we do APPRECIATE IT soooo much. You guys are the best !!

I don’t know how ya’ll do everything you do!!!I am a mom of four kids and my job forces me to work 60 hour weeks right now due to lack of employees. I feel like I run from sun up to sun down! I am SOOOOO glad ya’ll came back together. I loved you guys from the beginning when I was 15 years old in 1988. Please don’t stop!!! I saw your show in New Orleans with my 9 year-old daughter. IT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!! Please do a summer tour and come to Biloxi or Jackson, MS or both!!!! I would come to all of them. I want some face time. You guys really touch us in so many ways that is above and beyond, and that’s what makes you guys special to us. Thanks Joe it was great to see you on the AMAs. Il oved the new medley also love that Dirty Dancing is new single. Good to hear that people were cheering for you. I know I would have if I was in audience. Also as a mom to Jonas Bros fans I loved telling my girls my guys were first. Hope all you guys have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. I always love hearing from you. You are so insightful and have a wonderful look on life and your “supporters.” I think this is something mainstream America has not caught onto with you guys. All of you love your fans to death and realize that we have made you who you are today. Unlike a lot of other bands out there you do not take us for granted and always make sure you give 110% at everything you do for us. As a fan/supporter I am grateful to have grown up listening to the New Kids and even today I am so proud of the love and commitment you have to your fans.
I was so happy and had tears in my eyes when I seen people in the audience standing and dancing for you guys. You guys deserved that standing O you received. Yeah, I agree Beyonce is from another planet but in a good sense. My husband does not even understand what the connection is between The Block and I. Even thought we have never met/talked I feel like your a great friend. Not many can say that about their favorite group.

I know I’ve been waiting for you guys 2 get back 2gether 4EVER… Like a doink I tossed out all my NKOTB posters a few years back…( all but 1… Donnie on a motercycle YUMMY :)) I had the time of my life at the Kansas City concert and If I could I would see as many shows as I could… I envy the fans that can pack up and follow you all’ around the country. I hope this is not the end for NKOTB!!!!! I LOVE the new album and when I’ve had a tough day I put it in and play my favorite song…( Dirty Dancing ). Wow…we have had quite the tour ourselves! From two shows in Florida to a spontaneous trip to Calgary, and finally to our hometown in Seattle - it’s been an awesome ride! It was fun to finally have our other friends with us at the Seattle show and let me tell you, they were all impressed and finally understood why we have been traveling all over to see you guys perform.
We also wanted to say THANK YOU! This has been amazing and it is something that we will never forget! We did the meet and greets for each show and were amazed that you remembered us every time. You even remembered our conversations, which was even more amazing!
We are looking forward to a spring/summer tour!

I must humbly agree…NKOTB has the best supporters:) The show was solid, and I loved it that Donnie told everyone to stand up (and they did…of course!)…
I know you are grateful, but you are taking on a very strenuous schedule, but I’m glad you find the blessings in it all! I know that I continue to find all kinds of blessings even in chaos (like getting a call today letting me know that the house I’m renting will be going on the market, so time for another move…yeah!)

Hey Joe,
You guys ROCKED the AMAs. My main focus is country music, but please hear me out!!!!! For the longest time, through my childhood years (up until 1994), YOU guys were my main focus…..and when you left us (I feel a tear coming on), part of me was missing…..part of me was gone…..I know it sounds a little over the top, but it is truly the truth, whole heartedly. YOU GUYS brought back a part of me that I never thought I was NEVER going to get back, and that was confidence in MYSELF. Throughout my years of being a fan of yours, I believed in myself. Through all of the teasing, tormenting, YOUR music kept me going. The words that kept going in my head and heart were “positivity is not about being soft, its about being SMART…..YOU SUCKA” (sorry, I had to stick that in there). THOSE WORDS…..I’m telling you…..kept me on a right path. They kept me from giving into peer pressure, they kept me afloat. Even though I had stuff going on in my life, I knew to keep positive because THAT is what you taught us. It was instilled in me at such a young age because of you!!!! You were my first taste of positive music back then, that even at a young age (6) I knew what was wrong and right!!!!! Yeah, I know, parents teach you that stuff, and they do, but when you have your IDOLS telling you these same things, you really, truly believe it…..and I did because of YOU!
THIS, is why we keep coming back, THIS is why we attend your show, THIS is why we buy your records, and THIS is why WE WENT CRAZY ON OCTOBER 30, 2008 IN CHARLOTTE, NC DURING THE AFTER SHOW “GET DOWN.” WE support you, and we will not stop. These “HATERS” have nothing on us, because we know how you TRULY ARE and HOW YOU TRULY love us……and IT SHOWS (through your heart-felt blogs, through the special moments with us at shows, to coming back with one of the best records ever, THIS is why we support you). Oh Joe…I just love your blogs! The AMA’s were amazing and you guys were just even more so. If I had been there, I would have been screaming my butt off, too. At the concert I saw, I reached decibels I never thought I had!! You guys were amazing and when “Please Don’t Go Girl” started, I was elated! That is all-time fave song by NKOTB and the way you did it with the screens in the background was awesome!

Hey Joe! You weren’t complaining…I can’t even imagine how overwhelming your lives must be right now so…don’t even worry about that. We all have our moments…no matter who we are. That said…the show in Tacoma was AMAZING!!! It was beyond AMAZING… I went to the show in Dallas, and it was SOOO great, but I had my NEW KIDS crew with me at the Tacoma show and we were singing and dancing and having the BEST TIME EVER! Even my best friend’s husband was dancing and singing. HE LOVED IT!!! No words can express to you how grateful I am to have experienced the New Kids on the Block’s return…to have been able to see you…not just once, but twice (this time around)…and to meet you in Dallas (I was the girl with the INTERACTIVE T-SHIRT that you all signed after givig me a hug…again…grateful). This past year has been so incredible and I just hope you ALL understand how much we really love and appreciate all you’ve done for us. We may be the most special fans in the world…but only because you guys are the most special group in the world. We love you…and I really hope this is only the beginning…LONG LIVE THE BLOCK!!!!

wow, how cool to read your recap and after thoughts from the whole thing.
I love you guys and am behind you all the way! When the New Kids came on at the AMA i had butterflies in my stomach! And why? Because i was nervous for you. Isn’t that crazy? I knew it had been many years since y’all last performed at the AMA and i can only imagine the intense pressure you probably had plus the wear and tear of the tour. Plus critics can be cruel.
I was so nervous but i thought you guys pulled it off AMAZINGLY! You did great, of the charts! Each of you looking extremely handsome and stylish. We were on this website chatting up a storm about how proud we were of each of you and how well you performed.
I was thinking in my head - i got to hug each of you guys! That made me even more excited.
The new music is just fabulous - i’ve listened to it on repeat since the day it was released. I turn it up with my windows down and am so so proud of it!
Well done at the AMA! Wish i could be in one of those cheap seats screaming out your names, i know i would. i’m so glad our people represented! that’s what this is all about!

Joe, you always know what to say to make me emotional. I am always moved to tears every time you post a blog whether it’s funny or sentimental. That’s why you are my favorite. I have been a fan or “supporter” since I was 11 years old and now that I am 30 years old, I feel like I am even a bigger supporter than ever before. I don’t know if you guys know how much joy, happiness, and good times you brought to our lives since the reunion. Speaking personally, I haven’t felt this good in a very long time. So you are grateful to have us… I am exceptionally GRATEFUL to have all 5 of you back in my life. Thank you for doing what you are doing for us because you are sacrificing your personal lives, your other career choices and being away from your families for long periods of time. I was at the Tacoma show (and was one of those crazy fans…I mean supporters waiting out in the cold to catch a glimpse of you walking by before the show!), and I have to say that I am so grateful to the five of you for giving my friend and I the time of our lives!
We knew you’d have a busy schedule that weekend, and were so thrilled that even though you must have been exhausted just thinking about it, you never let on during your performance! That show was just unbelievable!! You all seemed so happy to be there, and we were even happier to be there screaming your names and jumping up and down for hours! 12 is a fun age to step back into, and I appreciate the opportunity more than you’ll know.
The AMA’s were amazing, and it just made my heart leap to see the reception you got! You really do deserve it.
I hope you have a restful Thanksgiving, and come back to Washington soon!!

JOe- I am a mom of 3 beautiful children. I complain and moan and groan sometimes of not having enough time in the day. It just happens that way. You complain about it and feel better and go on. I believe that people are put on this earth for reasons. I had a full scholarship to play softball when I was 18. I got pregnant instead and decided to give up on my dream of playing ball. It what I loved.I CAN’T imagine life without my children,be too quiet that’s for sure. What you were put on the earth for was to perform and have lots of lovely supporters adore you and your 4 best friends. Something must be going right if you have all these things to do everyday. Hey Joe…we are grateful to have you guys back!!! I was at the Edmonton and Calgary shows…and I can’t believe it is over…off the tour…and back home in the cold and snow…but waiting to hear the Spring shows and do it all over again!!!
The AMA’s were amazing…and was so proud when everyone stood up…you deserve…you all deserve it!!! Enjoy Los Angeles tomorrow…can’t wait to hear back from my girls who are there…we were group N in Calgary who sang that “We got VIP, front row seats, thank you so much for the Meet & Greet”…

It’s nice to see you (and the others I am sure) are appreciative of it all. I have no cable, but caught the AMA performance on Youtube. It was surreal in a way. I watched you on this show…gosh, when we were all a “little” younger. You were the start of the youth super stardom. Now, all grown up. You lived it, grew, settled down, reflected and chose to do it again…and people and even a younger generation are enjoying it. This time you can take it in and smell the roses, enjoy the rush, the good with the bad…even the bad is the experience of it all. Great to see you and hope to catch you again. I’m proud to be an NKOTB supporter. I know of no other band or celebrity that shows as much gratitude to their supporters than you guys and it means the world to us. It would be so easy for you guys to just brush us off and to get the big heads and ignore us, but you don’t. You, Joe, came across the street in NOLA to come say hi to us and you really didn’t have to. You all go out of your way to let us know you appreciate us and love us too. Awesomeness.

The reason that we are the most special fans is because you guys made us feel that we were the most special. From the very begining, you guys made a connection with us on so many different levels,that connection turned in to a bond, a very strong bond. That bond between us, the “supporters” and you guys will NEVER be broken. This is a heart to heart bond, those kind of bonds never go away. You have to remember, you guys were there through many of our “firsts” First boyfriend, first heartbreak, first time some stupid boy made us cry,… you guys are the ones we turned to for comfort… I know I did.
I hope you guys have a Happy Thanksgiving. PLEASE get as much rest as you can. Us supporters want you guys to be well rested and healthy. I’m counting down the days til Summer, this will be my chance to meet you, so if I cry, please don’t think I’m some silly girl that can’t control her emotions, LOL. I literally have tears in my eyes Joe Mac. (maybe it’s because I just finished watching “On Broadway” - Excellent acting, by the way!)
I digress… That last bit, about the fans screaming at you guys from the cheap seats… that’s soooo “us” (even though I was screaming like a lunatic from the cheapest seat in front of my TV screen - I think you heard me
)… and by “us” I mean, this community (and beyond) of amazing women (and men) that all share one thing in common: 5 boys from Boston whose love for us was somehow stamped into our DNA 20 years ago. I am not at all surprised that you got that kind of reception. Your fans are fanfreakintastic people. Truly.
This year, I swear it was like NKOTB was the Pied Piper and we were the rats. That’s how I’ve been explaining it to my friends. It’s unexplainable, but that’s the closest I can get.
I’m a firm believer of “you get what you give” in life. And, we’re giving you back the love you shared with us. To anyone outside of our bubble, these words sound ludicrous. But, everyone here “gets it”. That’s what I love so much about this reunion. There’s a unity now with the fans… like never before. And, I am proud to be on this ride.

I was at the Tacoma show, and this was my first New Kids Concert, and I have to say that blew anything I have ever seen out of the water. You guys totally rocked the house left alot of very happy Supporters in Oregon and Washington. I understand where your coming from with your schedule. While mine is not as crazy as yours, I am a Mom of 2, and work full time, and still come home and help with homework and all that good stuff. Im lucky if Im in bed before 11 each night and back at it again by 5 in the am. I couldnt even imagine having your schedule and trying to balance everything I have to. You guys are doing a great job, and I for one am so proud of you for everything you are accomplishing. Cant wait for the next tour, I will be there 5* this time. My one glimpse of you guys getting off the bus, just wasnt enough. Gotta have more.

When I was growing up, I would never have foreshadowed this past year. What a ride it’s been. I love that The Block is back in my life! I have had the honor and the privilege of attending five NKOTB concerts since the Mall of America appearence this fall and during this time have never been more proud to be a fan of five talented artists like yourselves. You guys are very kind people who give the love right back. You are just REAL!! What ya see is what ya get. You made me really proud at the Tacoma show (yep, I was there in VIP and the whole nine) and then the next night too, watching the AMA’s on TV. Your reunion tour has been absolutely incredible and my life is better because of the adventures I’ve had over the past few months and all the new friends that have come into my life because of it. Thanks for your hard work, your dedication to the craft, your nightly performance, your love of music, your honesty, your integrity, the facetime you’ve given your supporters night after night, the waves and smiles given from the stage, the crotch grabbing (ha ha), the songs and melodies that are simply unforgettable, and more. I cannot believe the first leg of tour is over. Bring on Spring and Summer 2009!!! The wild ride continues. I am grateful to be on it and proud to be an NK fan. Thanks, Joe, and the rest of the guys! Love you’re posts. On that note, I can not express how HAPPY I am that you guys are back. That truly comes from the heart. When Im at the shows (and Ive been to 7 so far this tour) I am in the greatest of moods having the greatest of times, meeting and making tons of new friends in different cities across Canada & the US. The memories & friendships are forever. Yes all the performances at the AMA’s were great but there’s always that something that seperates you guys from the rest…can’t put into words what it is. I got to tons of concerts but what happens at a New Kids show is unlike what happens at any other. It is funny I sit here after a long day and think about all the things that I did not get to accomplish. What I really need to reflect on is all the things that I DID accomplish today. Sometimes we take our lives and circumstances for granted when in reality we should be grateful for what we have and the people in our lives. I am grateful that you guys decided to take time away from your already busy lives to have concerts and put together an album for your supporters.
Thank you for a great night out with the girls at a great concert.
You all are the best!

We are the ones that are truely grateful for you 5 truely gifted gentlemen. I hope that you truely do see the signifigance of your returning to the stage. We used to be those teen girls that were screaming with hormones rageing and now we are wives, mothers,girlfriend and workaholics just dying to relive the dreams that came true when we were 15. I am from Fitchburg and I remember hearing the first taste of what was soon to be a whirlwind. I moved to KC and got married had a son and sat by watching life pass by, come what may. You guys reunited and I was pumped for the first time in a great while. I’m not saying that my life was boring or anything, I am truely blessed, but the days before you came to KC were the longest of my life. I really felt 15 again, and I was starting up conversations that were unlike my usual self. My co workers could not believe the person that I had become. The old plain talking, blissful yet open person that I have always been was awakened. Thank you for that. I am sure that I am not the only supporter that felt the fire! Thank you for giving us a chance to feel young again and express ourselves. Come on you know that there arnt many groups out there that you can look up to these days the way that we did to you and always will. One thing the 5 of you can always depend on is us to always be there.

Joe, you have such a way with words, I had tears in my eyes reading your blog. This has been one awesome ride for us, the supporters, you know, I thought the day NKOTB would get back together would never come and when it did, I was overcome with joy!! I know the states tour is coming to a quick end, and I hope you guys will continue to make music, tour and do all you do for your fans, we really do appreciate it, I am SO grateful for ALL I got this year, NEVER in my wildest dream did I think I would meet you guys, and even though it was short, it was the best experience of my life. I don’t know how you do it, as a mom of three and working full time, I feel I have no time to myself, I was lucky enough to meet some AWESOME new friends, who I get out with quite often now for a mom’s night out..Kudos to you for juggling all that you do Joe. You guys rocked the AMA’s, and you are right, Neyo, can work that mike stand..WOW!!! Looking forward to next summer, my friends and I plan on going to as many shows as we can.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, I am glad you guys have some time off to spend the holiday with your families!! You have made a fan for LIFE Joe!!

I actually got a little teary eyed after I read that post. Artists always say thank you to their fans, that they appreciate them and yes, they also say they have the best fans in the world, but I think that the New Kids actually whole-heartedly, earnestly believe that. New Kids’ fans definitely show their love and the group reflects it right back — that’s something special. When the Kids’ say they appreciate us, love us, it doesn’t feel like a line, like how other artists say it. So, thank you guys. Thank you for loving us (forever) as much as we love you (forever)!!

You always bring tears to my eyes….whether they are from the bouts laughter you bring out of me or from the overwhelming love and gratitude that I feel from you in your sweet, precious words. You are an amazing, great Man and you think you know but you really don’t know how true our love is for you….all of you. It runs so deep it almost hurts, but in a good way of course. You are so humble, and gracious….WE are the lucky ones. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have brought us so much happiness and fulfilled alot of dreams, small or not. This is history, and I’m so glad to have been a part of it. I wish I could have been at the AMA’s screaming your names, maybe you heard me from my living room? hahaha. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to hear that the new kids fan REPRESENTED!!! I knew there were people going to see you and I know people love screaming your names!! My sister and I were also out of our seats with excitement during the whole performance and our excitement got my dog Maggie barking and jumping.

She watched your concert video over and over with me all those years ago. So yesterday, when I showed her your AMA performance on youtube, she broke into the biggest smile as soon as you started doing the old dance moves.

Aww, Joey, thanks so much! We have alot to be grateful for as well. You 5 guys are such an inspiration for all of us. I still get excited when I hear your voices on the new CD, which, BTW, has not left my car stereo since September 2. Even my hubby has grown to like it, and my 5 year old and 8 year old know the words to several of the songs!! WE are the lucky ones - you guys are the best guys to be fans of in the world!! Thanks so SO much for doing this reunion, it really means the world to so many of us. And for me, you guys couldnt have done it at a better time!! NKOTB is GREAT stress relief!! KEEP KEEPIN’ ON!!!

That was very sweet of you to say that we are your “Supporters” and not fans.
You and the rest of the guys did a brilliant show in Vancouver before you moved on to Tacoma. I was on a high for the whole weekend and then seeing you all on AMA again was really sweet. Loved how you all pulled it off and it was a great performance.
Glad to know that you still have ‘Supporters’ (fans) when you were at the AMA too.
You, Jordan, Jon, Donnie and Danny are special to us too and we will always support you guys. Love you guys and keep doing the great job you are doing on the tour.

This is exactly we “we are special fans”. Because you make us feel “real”. I was thinking about that today…and that is why I decided to tally up all the people you have performed/entertained in the last 2 1/2 almost 3 months. 778,545 by the way is the big number!!! That’s almost a million supporter’s, not including the television show’s, etc….
We are greatful to be your fans…you bring us back our childhood, you’re giving us a chance to re-live our dreams, you brought the music back!!!
Our love for you guys grows strong every day…whatever you are doing, you are doing it right. Thanks for taking the time to come on and spill your guts to us..we appreciate it…more than you know.

So I get the text from my friend that you just blogged. Being stuck in Chicago traffic trying to get home…I surfed the net and found the blog and read it! Can I say…Why do your blogs always make me weepy!! Thanks for calling us supporters in stead of fans. I think it has a nice ring to it!?! Never, all those years ago did I ever think I’d get to see ya’ all perform together again. I was blessed with being able to see 4 shows and meet u 3 times!! It was the best experiences of my life. I also have met the best group of friends that I could have ever asked for. I think I can speak for a lot of us….when we say thank you for all that ya’all have brought into our lives….the music, the memories, and the friendships.

You guys rocked the AMA it was fabulous I was thrown off when you were the second performace. I was cooking making plates for the kids and my husband and I almost dropped the plates. I can’t even juggle cooking and watching you guys on tv
So it is ok to say how rough it can be you are just like us trying to do what you can and hope it all works out. I am glad THE BLOCK is back this has been the best year and you guys helped make it a great year. Us supporters do appreciate you and we know you appreciate us and that is what makes it works. Our realationship with you guys is just like our realationships with our friends. Because lets face it has been 20 years since this all began so I think I can safely say that we THE BLOCKHEADS and You THE BLOCK are friends and are going to be around for a long time. So once again Thank you guys for all you do and I hope everyone BLOCKHEADS and THE BLOCK have a great holiday. See you in the summer! Just tell us already we are dying!

My family thought I was crazy, yelling at you guys even though you weren’t on the screen at the time! I wished they’d show you more! But I loveed the performance! It was soooo AWSOME! And you guys looked STUNNING in your suits!
And we totally understand what trouble you guys go through to make every happy and I am definitly 100 % grateful of that. When I was watching you guys on AMA’s i was thinkign about how much trouble you went to get there. And I was so glad I picked a dedicated group of guys as my favourite band in the whole world! Dear Joe and the rest of the guys
You are human beings and you are more then allowed to be tired, exhausted and any other emotion you want to have and feel. If you did not express these things we would feel like you were all being fake and we know that is not how any of you roll! You have all always been down to earth and honest and that is why you have the Greatest Supporters in the world. When I saw you all in Rhode Island I was nervous about Mohegan happening because Donnie looked too slim and run down while Jon and Jordan looked as though they were looking forward to a rest. Then when I saw you at Mohegan I do not know what happened but you were all “AMAZING” and I can only guess what happened over those two days but all I know is that made me love and appreciate you all more then ever.
Joey thank you for taking time out to write to all of us! It is hard to image how “supporters” reached out to you all back in the day but all I know is that just like Jon stated “thank god for the internet” as it is making this one friggin’ amazing ride and I thank you guys everyday for that!

Joe, you guys are just awesome. I knwo what you mean about being a whirlwind. Sometimes being a single mom you go nonstop but in the end it is worth it. I know as a supporter I am very grateful for you and the guys coming back. I was at the show in Denver, you were awesome. I have a friend that when she was a kids she was not able to go to one of your concerts. So we went together this time. She cried for the first ten minutes she was so happy. Thank you for letting us have this experience. I was screaming at my tv when the AMA’s were on. My family laughed at me. But it is all worth it. Ok now I am rambling. Joe, I can’t speak for everyone, but you have no idea how much I appreciate all of your hard work. I was at the Tacoma show (absolutely phenomenal, by the way, and the sound guys deserve major props for how fantastic the balance of everything was). It was the first time I’ve seen you guys and I was blown away. Despite having seen just about every TV appearance you’ve done, I had NO IDEA you were all such amazing performers. The live experience is so much different. I was with a friend I’ve known for 17 years — we met at summer camp and bonded over our love for the New Kids — and being able to share that experience with her was so special. I hope you’re all loving it as much as we are.

I am so freakin’ glad that some NKOTB *supporters* were on hand at the AMAs to REPRESENT!!! Hell yeah!! By representing our guys and screaming their names during commercial breaks pretty much let everyone in that place know…NKOTB are kickin’ ass!!!!…ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!!! I can’t wait to see them in concert again!!
Joe, you don’t sound like you’re complaining…you sound like you’re human, just like antone else. I don’t how you all do what you’re doing everyday. Show after show…back to back a lot of times. It has to be exhausting and we understand that.

I can honestly say, I had a tear in my eye when I read that last part!
Standing from this side of the fence, I also truly believe that you all have the most special fans ever
I have connected with fans all over the world through the community, facebook,nkot.ca, the meet and greet, the concerts.
Its been a whirlwind for us as “Supporters” as well.
I have met some pretty amazing people, and rekindled old friendships from 12-15 years ago.
its been a pretty special 7 months!
and I can’t wait for it to keep on going!
Also, I am so sure, no matter how grateful you are, you must get tired and run down, and thats understandable. Not only are you touring and performing, but you are trying to be a father and a husband, and thats a fulltime job in itself.
You are a pretty amazing person Mr. McIntyre. It takes amazing types like yourself, Donnie, Jordan, Jon and Danny, to continue you doing what your doing, along with running your family life as well.
Us “Supporters” are so proud of you all, not only as performers and entertainers, but for the family values you all have.

You say you have the most special fans in the world….well we love and support the most special group in the world! In all honesty…who does what you guys do for your fans? Donnie let us on his bus to “warm up” and “hang out”….you fellas do the meet and greets every single night…ALWAYS with a smile on your face. You especially were so kind and sweet to me when I met you in Calgary…and you literally made my life long dream come true.

Hey Joe. I love being your guys’ fan…I mean “supporter”.
It’s funny…when my daughter and I met you in Tacoma (group A in the M&G) and I told you to give Griffin all our love, and asked you if he had a happy birthday.
When we spoke it was like talking to an old friend. The same went for all of the guys. Sure I was a little nervous, but at the same time I felt comforted by the unconditional love you guys show us.
When you talk about how other bands say they have the best fans….you’re right they probably think they do. But I believe they don’t have the same relationship with their fans as you guys do.
The Block “supporters” will walk with you guys to the ends of the earth, and back again. (And the true ones won’t complain one step of the way.)
And if you go away for awhile again, we will wait patiently for you to come back. Then we’ll show our love all over again as if it’s for the first time.
That my dear, is true “dedication”.
You can say it however you want….but I’m extremely proud to be a New Kids On the Block “fan”, “friend”, “admirer”, “disciple”, “patron”, “worshiper”, “follower”, and truly with all my heart, I am happy to be your “supporter.”
I love you guys. Thank you so much for coming back. We will always support you no matter what.

I hope you read this. I was one of the Portland 5*VIP that freaked out at the cancellation for the AMA’S and met you at 5*VIP Edmonton. You were THE MOST interested in the fact that my sister and I had to get our passports to meet you and fly all the way from Oregon to Alberta to see you.
Not only that, but at the end of our show, I stood on my chair in the 7th row and yelled “I LOVE YOU!” You not only saw me, but yelled “I LOVE YOU TOO!” and blew me a kiss. I’ve never been a Joey girl, but you’ve got me so close!!

Supporter. I like that. Joe, you do have the best supporters in the world! Want to know why? You, and the other guys are the best guys in the world. I loved the AMA’s performance. It brought me even more happiness to see everyone in the crowd standing, the people up front dancing, everyone looking so happy, and surprised that yall were that amazing (which your supporters have known for years) but it made me even more proud. Hard to explain. We really do appreciate all of your hard work. It means more to all of us supporters than you will ever know! We love you!

I am waed that you would be grateful to your “supporters” when really we are so thankful to you and the guys. I have never had a better night than the Tacoma show, and that is saying a lot. I cried before we even got in the dome, cried somemore when you appeared for “SINGLE” and even my best friend cried. The most amazing part of the show was when you guys came over to the mini stage and sang, I was so close. I was so disappointed when the Portland soncert was cancelled, I had waited for 20 years to see you live. And we had floor seats, wehich we didn’t have in Tacoma. But things worked out so much better in Tacoma than they would have here in Portland. I was able to get close enough that when you ran back to the main stage, Danny ran right past me and and grabbed my hand, and Jon was on his other side. But then you came along. I was at the rope that you ran right past, but when you came, all the girls that were behind me surged forward and I was shoved into you. I have no dount that you probably don’t remember this, but it was probably one of the best moments of my life. You grabbed my arm, and I was holding your, and I have a HUGE bruise on my stomach from the rope, but I would do it all over again. And you looked at the group of us, with a huge smile and said “WOW!” I was actually pushed into your shoulder and I will always associate the smell of leather with you. So, Joey, I am the one who is grateful to you. I am the one who has had every dream of mine come true. All because this wonderful group of men decided to come back for their “supporters”. I cannot thank you enough. I have always been a Joey girl, since I was 9 years old, and you were so kind, and held me up for that moment when I was getting squished. Thank you, Joey. Thank you!

Hi Joey!
I was one of your supporters who got to meet you at the Tacoma concert at the meet and greet before the show. I was totally amazed that there were no nerves as I reached out to hug all of you, but I guess why should there be? Over the past six or more months, you have let us into your lives and moved away from being those idols we stared at from afar so many years ago to just these five hot fabulous guys that just want to hang out and have fun.
Thank you for the hug, by the way, and for passing out my letters to the rest of the guys.
I’ve been to four concerts this year, and I’m going to see if I can do the same next year with all the incredible ladies I’ve met this year. The two Boston concerts were amazing, but this last Tacoma concert was so incredibly special to me. And, I’m definitely grateful for that.
Take care of yourselves and enjoy the rest of this year as it winds down. Enjoy the holidays with your families and have an incredible tour overseas. I know they’re going to enjoy your performances just as much as we have over here.

THe show was gret and I felt so thrilled for you all to be there as a group of five again. I had the chance to be one of the first posters on this thread and I really hope you-Joe-and maybe even the other guys had a chance to read it.
I came back just a little while ago and was reading what so many girls wrote after me. There is some great stuff posted here. One of the girls said that this time around it is so much better and that this time we feel so much closer to you. That got me thinking-you guys have given us an amazingly rare opportunity. Have you ever looked back at a time in your life and said: “If only I knew then what I know now-I could do it so much better?”
They say history repeats itself. This time around-it has repeated-sort of. But we really do know what we wish we had. We are now more capable of expressing ourselves. You knew in 1990 that all those gooshy letters from 13-year-old girls were expressing nothing but love and admiration-and the letters and posts and words spoken at Meet & Greets are doing the same thing-but now we are able to do it in such a different way.
Like I said in my earlier post: thank you. All of you. Especially you Joe-you were able to say something to us in this blog that I know a lot of us have been waiting to hear. Thank you for giving us the opportunities that we have always wanted.
Here’s to hoping we will see you back here in Atlanta in 2009! Have a wonderfully happy and loving Thanksgiving!

Hey there Joe,
Obviously, I wasn’t there for your conversation with this “fan” but I don’t see anything wrong with you “complaining” about your schedule. Most of the time it is plain ass ridiculous and you guys are being asked to do too much in a short span of time.
There is a lot to say but I don’t want to put it in a public comment. Hopefully, we can chat some tomorrow. A friend & I will be out there at Nokia late morning/early afternoon and I also have MnG but I know that trying to have a real convo in a MnG is a joke.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow & hope for me that it doesn’t rain!! It’s kind of difficult to maneuver in a wheelchair & stay dry at the same time…especially when the bus stop is a 1/4 mile away.

I have to say I am grateful to have you guys back together again. In the past few months I have remembered so many fun times of my childhood. My original show might have been cancelled, but the Tacoma show ROCKED!!!! I might have lost my voice half way through, but it became a night I will never forget. A friend, who is not a NK supporter, came with me to Tacoma, and we just had fun talking for hours on the way there and back. Also I am very grateful that some of the photos I took turned out so great. Just a hint, add some color to the wardrobes…it helps when taking pictures in tricky lighting. I hope that you do go back on tour in the summer, and that Portland or Tacoma is on your list of stops.
You guys made a childhood dream come true, and I thank you all for that so much.

I am soooo GREATFUL that you came back to Vancouver again … its been 17 years since you all came … and wow you guys were even better than EVER!!!! I felt like I was 20 again!
I’m still talking about the show to everyone - you guys were amazing and it was a thrill to see you and Jonathan LIVE when you were only 2 feet from me - you guys were getting on the elevator going up to the suite ( a few hours before the show ) I just stood there …. THANK YOU!! I think I speak for many when I say that it seems that you guys came back together at the absolute perfect time for yourselves and for your fans. Maybe it’s because we are all at a time in our lives when we are juggling marriages (husband is on a contract job in Kuwait for the past year), career (massage therapist), kids (10 & 11), and trying to stay positive through all of the “craziness”. You and the Guys have just made at least the last 8 months that he has been gone “fly by”. My daughters and I listen to The Block, The Greatest Hits,8:09 and Stay the Same on the way to school every morning. We also went to the concert in San Antonio and I was just so happy that I could share that with my girls.
So from the bottom of our hearts we say T H A N K Y O U!!! Keep up the great work!!!

You guys rocked the AMA’s! The performance was awesome. My favorite part was the background screenshots during Dirty Dancing. I actually got emotional when I noticed it was of the fans at the concerts. I believe that these screen shots just about sum it up. You guys appreciate and love us as much as we appreciate and love you guys. It’s a give/take relationship. We feed off of each others energy and the connection is undescribable.
Thank you for everything. This year has been amazing. I never in a million years imagined 2008 turning out the way it did. I can’t wait to continue to support you guys in 2009.

Supporter, fan. You can call me either or, or both. I don’t mind. Even if you are doing what you love for a living it can be taxing just like anything else. I don’t see how you guys do it week after week, but I’m glad you have. I think we all would want all of you to take care of yourselves and get as much rest as possible. Take the time off you have coming up and recharge and enjoy the time with your family and friends. You all deserve it. After all, you are the 5 hardest working men in show business!

But seriously, reading a blog like this one reminds me of all the reasons that I still love you guys after so many years. I’ve grown as you’ve grown, and we’ve all come full circle. Nobody’s perfect but none of us are trying to run away from who we are anymore. We all still have our critics, but we all still have our fans. We need someone like you to make it easier, and you sing that right back to us. I try to comment on these blogs and say something meaningful, but no words are ever really enough to express how much the five of you mean to me. Especially you. Joe! We stood up and REPRESENTED YOU ALL! Through tears of pain in our heels… standing and waiting outside in that horrible line… then finally getting inside to relax (well hardly relax!) in those “oh so comfortable seats!” We had a blast and by golly if ya’ll get nominated next year… you know DARN well we’ll all be there! Yes we did yell out your names! I am so happy you heard! You guys naturally rocked it with such ease and CLASS!
But whats up with the Jonas Bros and ALLLLL those screaching 13 yr olds! We were surrounded by them! How funny is that?! We were EXACTLY like those girls so many years ago… I can’t stop laughing! All I could think of was “good gawd. when will those girls get some oooompf in they yelling?!”

Well, it’s funny you mentioned that because all the girls in my Group J at the ILAA group were saying how exhausted you all looked as soon as we saw you. There was a feeling that we might not get what we see on here or that we might miss out because of the exhaustion. But you didn’t disappoint. Sure we all wanted more…YOU GUYS ARE LIKE THE BEST FIX ON THE PLANET!
But you didn’t disappoint. Not in the slightest. I was unable to speak at the meet and greet. But I was able to hug you all. Which was amazing. And you Joe grabbed me as I was walking out and hugged me again. Thank you! That meant alot to someone who was unable to even tell you my name…. Rachel by the way in case you were wondering LOL
The show was wonderful. You are all truly entertainers in every sense. It wasn’t “just another show” you seemed to be putting your all into it. You can see it in your eyes that you longed for your bed. But you kept a smile on your face’s, there was some under lying anxiety on all of your faces.I am sure it was from a tight schedule and the AMA the next day on your minds. But still you all SHINED!
Tacoma/Seattle loves you! You guys inspired me in so many ways and gave me such a high that I haven’t felt in some time. To be young again. HA! OK I am only 31 but your timing for me was perfect!
I’m trying right now to come up with a plan that will allow me to go to the London show. Wish me luck! And I know you think we shouldn’t be thank you but THANK YOU!! You guys have done more than you can ever know!

Hi Ya Joe, I agree with ya hun….no matter who we are or what we do, there is never enough time to do everything..and I am only just realizing that myself now…Being a wife and a Mum of 3, it’s so hard to fit in what has to be done and sometimes we find ourselves complaining that we never have (ME TIME) hehe…but that’s LIFE we are only HUMAN hey..and we need to voice our thoughts every now and then or we go Crazy..

Aww you’re so sweet. You know, you had every right to pull the “whoa is me”… that’s a killer schedule!! And everyone’s allowed to grumble every now and then - we all do it. You know what else?? We appreciate it SO much that you guys do all that… then turn around and pull it all out again the next day for us - your fans, supporters, the crazies that fly halfway round the world just to see you back on that stage… whatever you want to call us, you know we’ll be there.
And that you have time to write or film a blog in the middle of all the insanity too… you guys give us so much and WE are grateful for that. Most other artists, even the ones that are in touch with fans, never give as much you guys do.
We appreciate being part of this. We love that you include us. And we love that you guys share the fun with us. I’ve laughed a LOT this past year and its mostly thanks to you all. It’s also thanks to the wonderful ‘fans’ you guys have that I’ve met either in the real world or virtually that I wouldn’t have met otherwise. We are having so much fun, an absolute blast.

I was one of the younger end supporters back in the day and I’m now 27 so the Charlotte, NC concert was my first and I’ve been to other concerts over the years but I realized later that this one felt more like a party with old friends but that the friendship was a more mature one now. With all these replies you probably won’t get to mine, but I just wanted to say that your supporters are more then just that….I find myself, playing “The Block” on repeat in my office every single day, then leaving the office and having “The Block” playing in my car on the way home =D The groups pic has replaced my children’s pic on my desktop wallpaper (calm down, I still have all their arts and crafts and framed pictures all around my office:) although, I am tempted to break out my old and new NKOTB posters and redo the walls in here like my old bedroom at my mom and dad’s house, but I don’t think my SVP may agree too much. lol. I feel that ever since you’ve all come back, besides the 14 year old jitters and the not so innocent dreams I’ve been having =D You’ve given us, well at least ME, some kind of confidence back…if that makes any sense. Strength, to make changes, positive changes in my life… happiness… I don’t know… I guess I can’t get into it now, but you five have given me the courage to let go and find true happiness…. more then you’ll ever know, you make changes in our ways of thinking, our lives and in our hearts. I am truly grateful for your return…. I believe there was a reason, maybe not specific to me, but it sure does feel like it. Have a great Thanksgiving…. and tell the guys, we want you and them to stick around for longer then maybe you all can handle. =D

Joe, you are incredible. It’s truly amazing how down to earth you all are after all of us screaming your name for so many years - really! It’d be so easy to just start believing you were better than everyone else. But you’ve never done that, and I think that’s why all us “supporters” love you all so much. We can feel the love right back. It’s a two-way street, and it’s a relationship that I doubt many other “celebrities” know of. You have special fans because you make us feel special. We’re devoted because you don’t take advantage of that devotion.
And if you need to whine a little every once in awhile, so be it. I whine about how tough raising 4 little boys is - doesn’t mean I’d trade it for the world. Some days are just tougher than others. It happens. We sure don’t love you any less!

Dear Joe! I just put my makeup on for work and now you’ve got me all teary-eyed. Listen, you’re allowed to complain a little considering all that you go through and all that you do for your supporters- and we know that!! I mean, if I can complain about having to walk 50 mins in the snow to work most mornings you most definately can complain about THAT.

I also want to say that as a supporter it is good to be reminded what kind of schedule the new kids to keep to make this happen for all of us. I am not giving you permission to complain, so to speak. I think this makes you seem closer to the supports if we understand the daily commitments you have. I would also like to say the AMAs went GREAT. I fell in love with all of you from your 1990 AMA performance. I watched it all the time, and drove my younger brother nuts. I would watch it during all commercials while watching t.v. I still to this day watch the 1990 AMAs. Now I have new performances. I hope to see you on the AMAs in 2009. I attended your St.Louis concert on 11/10. Seventeen years after the first one in Peoria, Il in 1991. Will there be more music and touring in my area?

As I sat here and read your message, I was moved with such love and pride for you guys. I have never been so proud to be a “Supporter” as I am right now. I also want to take this opportunity to thank you all for the great sacrifices you have made, to bring the magic back into our lives. I know that you have left your families and comforts of home to tour again. I saw the recent video blog Danny did showing how you guys live on the buses. I was so amazed at how little space you all have. And Jon says that most of your guys’ time is spent on these buses. WOW! What a tremendous sacrifice that is in itself. But you find a way to make it work. Especially if you have kids onboard. If anyone knows how stressful that can be (especially on relationships)it’s me. My family and I were homeless last winter (due to layoffs at my husband’s job). We were 5 staying in one room in a hotel with to beds. Needless to say, it was very trying on all of our relationships with each other. And we are a close family too. You guys are truly amazing! You go out there night after night, rock the house, meet the “supporters” (and what a treat that must be for the ones who’ve gotten that opportunity), do press and media time, among probably a million other obligations you have to fulfill everyday, and try to get some sleep not to mention a little peace and quiet for yourselves somehow, before you have to go out there and do it all again. All this sacrifice just for us. I can’t express in words how much I appreciate your reunion and the tour. I was at the Tacoma show. Yeah, it was an awesome show! I was there with my 15 yr old daughter. We had a great time! It was her first time to any concert. We left there with the biggest smiles on our faces bragging about our buttons we bought there. Thanks for our most memorable night. We will never forget it. You guys have this power to bridge generations with your music. It’s just mindblowing. I love you guys with the deepest sentiment in my heart. I hope you guys come back to Tacoma for your summer tour. Pleeeease?! This time I hope we get facetime. Until then take care. First & foremost, I can only begin to imagine how exhausting everything is. I know the purpose of your blog wasn’t to concentrate on this,but it is still worth mentioning. Not everybody could hang in their late 30’s-40’s being a father, husband, traveling around the states in a bus, performing, rehearsing, and getting ready to go over seas. That being said, you all have a great life, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have an unending supply of energy. If you did, you either wouldn’t be human or I’d want to know what energy supplement you were taking. LOL!!
Furthermore, I want to tell you that I have been a fan since I was 11 years old. I absolutely remember the year 1988. In November, I turned 31 years old & I couldn’t put into words how I could still dig you all like I did when I was a pre-teen. There is an unbelievable connection between the fans (supporters) & the 5 of you. I don’t quite understand it, but I do know that it’s there & it’s REAL!! I do get that you all appreciate the LOVE your supporters show you in return. It shows in your performance & the blogs. Tell Donnie, “What’s up” for me. He’s been my favorite boy (now grown man) since 1988.

How many times have I tried to express how special NKOTB is, how strongly your fans feel about the five of you (fans/supporters, you can call us anything you’d like Joey Joe), & how the connection between the group & the fans is unlike any other?! I never could get my point across, & often got responses like: ‘there’s a lot of groups who have their popularity’, or are ’still popular after so many years’…blah..blah..blah…
It’s no surprise that fans were screaming your names, from the cheap seats, during the commercial breaks, & they were the only names being screamed. Reading this brought tears to my eyes. Silly, yes, but it solidified what I already know. New Kids on the Block IS the best group - EVER! We ARE the best fans - EVER!
I found my childhood diary recently. I wrote that I couldn’t put into words how I felt about you. I struggled to express how I felt. I would cry because the love was real, & nobody understood. I’m grown up now, and it still can’t be put into words, & people still don’t understand it! I do know that the bond we have is special, unlike any other. Non-fans don’t get it, they never will. I am thankful to be a part of it all.

How can we NOT be the biggest “supporters”! You boys came back for us–after 15 years!!! WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU! And we will keep screaming your name as long as you give us the chance to!!!! mmmmmwwwwwaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! By the way, I LOVED all your crotch-grabbing last night at the SD show!! And if it’s any consollation, I drove back to LA after the show in heavy rain, fog so dense I couldn’t see two feet, with tumbleweeds–yes, tumbleweeds–as big as a small child and now I’m at work with about an hour’s sleep. But all is good because WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joey Joe!!! I just love the way you guys communicate with us…I am not sure that many artists do the same. I am so grateful that you guys came back to us and i feel like a kid again every time i log on to see what is new with you guys! Your music is awesome…and I am hoping that another tour and CD is in your plans! The Charlotte show was outta this world…I have been to a lot of shows and you guys even out-did Motley Crue!!! You guys were amazing at the AMA’s! AND I don’t know if you’ve read the reviews or not, but they are all excellent! In fact, most of the performers got bad reviews, but not you guys! One critic said that you guys were the ones that had it together, then he went on to criticize the other performers (which I thought was over the top, since they all did amazing, but not as amazing as you guys!
)
SO, thanks for coming back and putting a “spark” back into our lives that’s been missing since we were 12! We LOVE reading your blogs, watching your videos, and of course listening to The Block every hour of the day! I’ve even converted a few family members who were skeptics!

Joe Mac don’t you worry about anything you feel or have to say to us the “supporters”!! Most of us have days filled with so much we don’t know how to deal sometimes also! I’m a mom of 6 and my husband’s in Iraq. Talk about being overwhelmed, honey I feel your pain! The difference is that you don’t have to do all you do for us! That’s why we are so greatful for everything you give. The 5 of you have always been the best at sharing yourselves, not just the persona of yourselves. THAT MAKES YOU ALL SPECIAL!! And as far as being in the cheep seats, HONEY THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD heard us “Block Moms” screaming from the living rooms right along with our teenage daughters! By the way, my daughter Kaili almost fainted again when you did Please don’t go girl, just like at the Dallas show! I love it!!!
I hope you could feel the love! Believe me you guys were the talk of all the moms all week! Not that we don’t talk regularly about you anyway!!

Supporters sounds so much better than fans. Thank you for sharing this with us..it makes us feel closer to you guys. Back in the day of course we felt close, but in this day and age with internet and cell phones and all that technical stuff we are all closer than ever. Your blogs are always insightful and heartfelt, but I think you may have outdone yourself with this one. It awes me to see how very humble and real you are–how you are willing to share with us the real stress and exhaustion of your life right now (exciting as it is!! you are only human after all), but also to see your life from someone else’s perspective, and to acknowledge the gifts you have. You are an inspiration to all of us, because just like you, we all have things in our life that are difficult but also things that are joys and that should make us grateful.

Regardless who you are Joey, its never going to be enough time to do what you want to do, whether its a mom getting up, getting kids off to school, in the middle of breakfast and walk to the bus, you manage to at least comb your hair, brush your teeth, and wash last nights makeup off you face because you were too tired to wash it off before you crawled into bed, and then start your day with doing laundry, vacuuming roooms you swear you just vacuumed yesteray, taking out the trash, doing the dishes, sitting down to finally inhale a small breakfast with a cup of coffee, then back up again, because you look at the clock and realize its time to pick the kids up from school…. and it doesnt end there!!! We all know what you guys do and how crazy of a sacrifice you give, your family time, your life, etc;…..and we are GRATEFUL!!! YOU ALL ROCKED IT AT THE AMA’S!!!! My husband FINALLY after 6 years of being married, FINALLY SAID YOU GUYS GAVE ONE HELL OF A PERFORMANCE!!! It wasnt just the “supporters” in the cheap seats yelling for you, it was the standing ovation you got from everyone who has busted their ass just like you guys and are still ROCKING this industry!! And you know there were non believers of NKOTB out there, that quickly changed their critical mind and saw what you guys are all about!!! I couldnt be more proud… LIVE IT GUYS!! DAY FOR DAY, HOUR FOR HOUR, YOU HAVE WORKED SO HARD, AND YOU ALL DESERVE IT, AND YES, US “SUPPORTERS”–OH WHO AM I KIDDING!!! US FANS!!!! DESERVE TO GET BACK AT ALL THOSE WHO DIDNT BELIEVE IN YOU IN OUR LIVES…HEHE!!! ITS SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!! you always ask why we are always thanking you and its because of all you all do. we really appreciate it! yesterday i went to work at 6am got off at 4pm (drove to san diego)loved the show, waited out until 2am, drove back to LA and got up this morning at 8:00 to go to work and tonight im going to another show. Who would have thought after 15 years that you would be back on the road once again showing the New Kids still rock the house. Your grateful??? Joe, I’m GRATEFUL!!! The sacrifices that you guys have made are indescribable! And let’s not forget all the families involved, your families our families have been SO supportive of this journey that we are on together THANK YOU ALL! It’s a beautiful thing!
When I got on the plane(that took great courage-you guys bring out the best in us you know!)flyng to Washington from Minnesota Saturday morning arriving at 9:30am pst then waiting for some buses :o) then dancing like crazy at the show, hanging out with new friends, going to breakfast @ 3:30am Sunday morning then flying home at 7:30am Sunday, running off of 4 hours sleep since Friday night, HOW THE HELL DO YOU GUYS DO IT??? You guys are AMAZING!! PLUS, the AMA’s, hands down you guys owned it without a doubt!!
So…I’m sad that it is over here for us in the states-for now right ;o)but happy that the rest of the world can see what we have been seeing over and over as MUSICAL PERFECTION!! I love you guys!!

All I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I was in Tacoma at the All-access and I can’t tell how badly I froze! I had so much to thank you guys for but I hugged you and went straight to Donnie for a hug and ended up with a dip and a kiss! (Don’t tell my husband), anyway, I suppose I can just say thank you.
All that being said, you allowed me to be a 14 year old girl for the weekend! I’m sure you’ve heard it all before, but you guys just meant so much to me when I was younger and the fact that you were willing to put your self out there after all the criticism all those years ago is like the most amazing gift. Who gets that? I’ll tell you who gets that … NKOTB fans!

Guess we were having some of the same thoughts during the AMAs.
I….and probably all of the hard core New Kids fans…. noticed that when they were announcing the performers at the beginning of the show the audience went NUTS when they said “New Kids on the Block”.
It was like “performing tonight Christina Aguilera (applause), Beyonce (applause), Mariah Carey (applause), the Johas Brothers (applause), Alicia Keys (applause), New Kids on the Block (OMG crazy high pitched out of control screaming), Neyo (applause), Rihanna (applause)…” I was so proud
You guys were 1 of the very, very few points in the show when everyone was on their feet, rockin out, & looked like they were genuinely having a great time….along with me in my living room!
Of course as u said Donnie did tell them to get on thier feet but they didn’t have to listen & stay there the whole time….& they didn’t for anyone else
You guys even had the men rockin out & enjoying the show as opposed to just standing there like their wife/GF made them do it….especially during Dirty Dancing.
BTW, when Jordan hit the high note at the end of IBLY4Ever it was perfection!
The reason you all have such great fans is because you’re great guys. You’re wonderfully talented but humble and real at the same time. You take yourselves seriously enough but not too serious. People gravitate to that. If your heads were the size of a hot air balloon and you acted like the public owed you something & u were better than everyone else the fans probably wouldn’t be as over-the-top & devoted… or be around at all in some cases.
So just keep doin what your doin!!! And “Never ever go awaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!” We love you!!!

I feel for you Joe and I know how you feel about the busy schedule and lack of sleep. I have a husband and 2 boys and I work 2 jobs 5 days a week. Sleep is a precious thing that I don’t get too often. Zombie is a very good word for it.
I appreciate all the hard work you guys put into your shows/performances. As a fan or a supporter or whatever you want to call us, I am always proud of the work that you guys do (collectively and individually).
I am grateful that I get to experience this mania twice in a lifetime and I hope there is much more to come. I can’t wait to see you again this summer.

It’s because we not only love the music and each and every one of you it’s because you all treat us so well to, you guys don’t let this get to your heads, we have so much respect for you. Thank you for another amazing heartfelt blog. I never would have imagined I could be a bigger fan than I was 20 years ago, but it seems it’s happened. However, it’s much nicer to be a supporter in a mature adult way than an obssessed teenage way, I must admit. I’m so grateful for all you give to your supporters. My few minutes spent in the meet and greet fullfilled all my teenage dreams from so long ago. I can’t imagine how tiring it is to be the five of you. Thank you for letting us in on a little of that side of the journey. I know you’re grateful…and so am I so very much so. Your AMA performance was amazing.

It’s great to finally read a blog by you jm! I’m so HAPPY that you guys got back together to do this. The Block is AWESOME, you guys look so SEXY, and the concerts were AMAZING! I made it to last night’s concert in San Diego w/ a coworker of mine. We drove down from the Antelope Valley after work jamming to all your CDs, so excited to be going to the concert. We had such a great time, and we were so sad to see it end…. I wish it wasn’t pouring last night because it would have been nice to spot you guys afterwards…. (I was struggling to drive us back up to Los Angeles at midnight, but it was ALL worth it ):-D I hope you guys decide to do another CD and tour again, because it’s what’s getting me through a rough year of teaching. SERIOUSLY, going to two of your concerts have really helped me through the toughest year of my career.
Love you guys! Have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy you’re break in Dec. (I wish I was able to go to Europe to see you guys again :-P)

Yeah, you totally do have the greatest fans ever! Wait, is that conceited?
The latest touring aspect of your life sounds like the latest touring aspect of my boyfriend’s. He’s an audio tech for a jazz/funk musician (no name dropping), and they just did gigs in Austin, Houston, New Orleans, and Atlanta. The tour manager scheduled flights every morning at 8am. So, of course, they were meeting in the lobby by 6am or earlier, and of course, the gigs were late at night, leaving them only 2 to 3 hours to sleep each night. Fun life. Seriously. Yeah, sarcasm.
Well, you know we love you, and I will be seeing you soon at Nokia!

As a “supporter” for 20 years, I am so happy that the 5 of you have came back into our lives! None of us can understand how it must be for all of you to have such crazy schedules and I appreciate the fact that you are all taking time out of your normal family lives to perform for all of us! Thank you for that and thanks for your honesty. I’m sure being on the road so much can get crazy and tiring! But, with that… I can’t wait to see you guys tonight in LA! Yea! Your last show in the states! I’m so stoked I’m going to be there! See you in a few hours!

Its nice to read things like this from a band, specially a band that truly LOVES their fans back just as much, if not more, than the love we give to all five of you.
We may be some of the craziest supporters in music history, but we are a very loyal, loving and respectful bunch of supporters.

You are entitled to your “whoa is me” moment. You guys have AMAZED me with the pace you are keeping (I was exhausted w/ the whirlwind promotion you did earlier this year.. I can just imagine the added tour!). When you guys put your mind to something, you don’t just put out a cd and let the chips fall where they may. YOU put your heart and soul into your work and you seek out your supporter/fan soulmates and bring us along in your journey. THIS IS WHY YOU ARE SO LOVED AND SPECIAL TO US. My impression has NEVER been that you rock out for your own financial gain or self love. When NKOTB rocks out.. it’s for the FANS! You know what we want and boy do you DELIVER!! NKOTB is the PERFECT boy band! You all are HILARIOUS, KIND, GIVING, RESPECTFUL and PROUDLY ENJOY CONNECTING W/ YOUR FANS… umm…. and YOU’RE HOT!!!!!
I went to your San Diego concert last night and you guys had me so wound up.. my adrenaline is still running at 100mph. The concert was EVERYTHING and MORE than I ever expected. The walls in that arena were ready to fall down with our screams of love and devotion! I can’t remember the last time I lost my voice from screaming at a concert. Oh, wait.. it was 1989.. Universal Studios… Headliner was NKOTB!!!
I was so proud of your AMA performance. When was the last time an AMA audience got up in unison to dance along with a performing group?! I was SO HAPPY to see the love and to see your peers singing along w/ you. The audience was full of different musical genres.. but they all spoke the language of NEW KIDS!! You guys are what the “music industry” is all about. You create spontaneous singing, hysteria and mass enjoyment wherever you go. Even the haters know your songs by heart!
Cry on our shoulder anytime Joe! We’ll go thru the ups and downs with you anyday!

I think your fans/supporters have always felt a great connection with you all because you’ve always let your fans feel a sense of relationship with the band. You’ve been open to us. You’re all so down to earth and seemingly so willing to try to have that open and available connection with the fans. You have loyal fans because you’ve been loyal to your fans, and we feel that. And we all appreciate it so much. You guys having this reunion has been special for all of us. We appreciate it, especially knowing you are all grown up with kids and other things going on. The shows were a blast in NJ and Philly. Wish I could go to more!!! Wish we could have an acoustic show!!!

Some weeks ago I thought about your job comparing to mine-
you can be so glad- people love you, no matter what you do-
even if you would do some wrong dance moves or forget a songtext (what is not, just for example ;-))… that’s very different to mine, even if I worked well, people complain, because they just like to complain, there must not be a reason for. You have loads of stress, but enjoy it- it’s worth it- I’d love to switch with you

Joe, your fans are seriously hilarious and full of love for all of you. After the San Diego concert, my sister and I waited in the pouring.. did i say.. POURING?.. rain. I couldn’t even see! It was so bad.. but I wanted to catch a farewell glimpse of MY NKOTB! I didn’t bother to cover myself with my sweater.. but I sure as hell tried to protect my JUMBO programs and my JUMBO Jon button w/ my measley sweater! Don’t worry.. the programs are intact and stayed dry. WHEW!
The fans were cracking me up. They were yelling.. “NEW KIDS!! You MotherFERS.. GET OUT HERE!! WE LOVE YOU!!” A bit crass.. but freaking hilarious!! This is what keeps the fans warm and toasty as they wait for their MEN in an hour plus standoff in drenching.. freezing ..punishing rain.. w/ NO umbrella!!!
Security guards were massively impressed.. telling us that we were really HANGING TOUGH and taking it STEP BY STEP in the pouring rain. ha ha!! Good times.. good times.. Nobody is more loved than NKOTB! Keep it coming guys.. we are ready.. willing and able!

I had to go again becuase the feelings that went through us that night reminded us of the concert night of the late 80’s at the Dodger Stadium back in the day when we were still teens. You are right on the money- yes, your life is crazy & busy & exhausting, but your “supporters” appreciate every little second of it! We all have crazy schedules (some worse than others I’m sure!), but what I love about this reunion is the way you guys are all bringin’ us back to those crazy fun pre-teen and teen years when NKOTB was ALL we had to think about. It’s a great distraction from “real life” to see what’s happening for you guys now, and you deserve every great thing that comes along. Donnie was right, you guys are going to change the way the world looks at NKOTB, and we will all be right there with you:)
And also, you guys were OFF THE HOOK at the AMA’s!! Can’t wait to see your show again next summer (or anytime you’d like to visit Indiana!)

We all have so much to be thankful for! Above family, friends, and health your performances in Vancouver & Tacoma are high on my list. This truly is a symbiotic experience and I’m happy to be apart of the adventure. It was nice to be able to share a token of my appreciation (Face Time matchbooks) for all your sacrifices, hard work, and out of this world adventures you have been so kind to share with us over the years. Great job at the AMA’s the hard work and unity showed, since you all made it look easy and sound great! Best of luck and safe travel on the European tour. Look forward to seeing you all this summer.

You guys killed it. How many bands can come back after performing on the AMA’s in 90-91 and still perform at the level you guys did? All the young bucks there, let’s see if they have the legion of supporters that you 5 still have after what, 20 years? All of you looked great but you were FEVERISHLY HOT. Hey Joey,
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you guys for putting on an amazing show last night in San Diego. I have waited 18yrs to see you guys. You did not disappoint. You guys totally rocked every second you were on stage. The lead up to the concert was hard to handle, being at the concert was surreal, I couldn’t believe I was there seeing you guys. You all sang so beautifully, Jordan is my man and he got to shake my daughetrs (ages 11&7) hands when he arrived, I got a photo of him. He is just as sexy in person as he is on screen and in photos. Please tell him Kirsten Kruse thinks he is one fine piece of ass. Seriously, my hubby looks like him, however I was in love with Jordan waaaay before I met and fell in love with my hubby. The atmosphere was amazing in the Arena. We all felt so special being there, you guys really gave us a show, and just when we thought it was all over….you guys came back out, again and again, it was awesome! So I get to my Brother-in-laws home in San D to camp out for the night and I couldn’t sleep, I was still on a high from seeing you guys. On my drive home we were jamming to your old songs and reminicing about last nights show, and “I’ll be loving you forever” comes on and I just broke down and cried. On the freeway ok. Yeah, it just hit me how this all happened for me and I just love you guys so much for being a band again or as Tony Spallelli say’s…”Boy’s in a band who are a boy band but their not”. I love that Tony he’s hilarious. You guys are just awesome, can I not say that enough? I wish I could see you again and again. One thing’s for sure I will be buying VIP tickets next time so I can meet Jordan and have a photo taken with him. You all are wonderful guys who came back to show us fans that YOU care, well WE care too, and you know we will all be loving New Kids forever. I love you guys, from the bottom of my heart.

You guys have said numerous times that it is you all that should be thankful to us…I really think its us that needs to be thanking you all…you do not understand the feeling us fans got back when you all came back. The feeling is priceless. You know what though…I bet you guys feel the same way about us fans. I have never met you guys and I really believe that you do, but that is yet another reason why you all are loved so much!

I have a hard time finding enough hours in theday to do what my life involves so I don’t even begin to understand how you 5 do what you do…but I do know that we are Supporting you! The NA tour has been INCREDIBLE from what I’ve seen live & via clips you guys kept it fresh, exciting, entertaining and so much more. YOu are all great individuals with unique personalities and amazing talent so do whatever you have to do to take care of yourselves so that it’s woking for you and worth it to you to keep this ride going & we’ll keep the love & support flowing!!!
You guys killed it at the AMAs, but it was bitter sweet because every time I see you guys it’s fullfilling & leaves me wanting more all at the same time…who know that could even make sense!!!
& just for my two cents worth..I don’t think it’s complaining to recognize that any human being can only do so much..we all get tired & we all need a chance to reenergize sometimes, it doesn’t mean we don’t still love what we do & do it well…we’re just human…

Joey, you feel like an old friend of mine as I’ve adored you since I was a kid. Please never forget who put you where you are. Fans. supporters, friends, call us what you want, but we love you all the same. I wrapped my arms around you in the Omaha m’n'g and told you were my high school sweetheart. Truly, you were. You spent many-an-hour in my thoughts and dreams. You were slightly off-ish and reserved during our time together, almost snotty, and I have the same kind of days so I know how it goes, but NEVER forget where you came from and who put you there. Happy Thanksgiving guys! First of all, I’m thankful for Victoria, Mel B, Emma, Mel C, and Geri for coming back on June 2007 as the Spice Girls are back together after 10 years and do a reunion tour for the world. Second, I’m thankful for Jonathan, Jordan, Joey, Donnie, and Danny for coming back together on April 2008 as the New Kids On The Block are back together after 15 years and do a reunion tour for the world too. Lastly, I’m thankful for becoming a high school Senior this year at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado and get ready to face the world on May 21, 2009. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Thank you for always checking in on here..it really makes my day to read your posts! I hope that all of you, and your families, have a wondeful Thanksgiving. I am so grateful that you guys came back and are taking the time to do this for all of us supporters…I can’t tell you how much happiness you have brought to my life…then and now. The past few months have been amazing..I went to 3 shows and am still wanting more! I can’t get enough…you guys are so talented and I absolutely love seeing you in concert…wish I could go to all of them! 
I even listen to your music while my students are out of the room at gym or wherever. My co-workers tease me cause I’m jammin in my classroom when I probably should be planning..but I can do both at the same time! 
You all were amazing at the AMA’S and I was screaming your names from my living room.

Love your entries, Joe. The AMA’s were a million times more special with you all performing again. It was strange to be sitting on the couch all excited as a 27 year old, with my hubby (who is a new fan by the way)…rather than staying up late, on the couch with mom and dad as a 7 year old. And the hubby didn’t even care that i had to rewind 5 times and watch it again and again! And don’t feel bad about venting about your busy schedule! No matter HOW our lives are filled up, whether you’re just busy at work at the local mall, or busy flying around the world…just as famous as the Beatles…everyone get’s “tired”…and it does NOT mean you don’t appreciate it! Love you lots! Have a great holiday!

not sure if you read any of the emails, but i had to get up and send you all a message immediately after i saw your performance on the AMA’s, but i was so unbelievablely proud of how amazing your performance was. i especially LOVED your twist on PDGG, amazing! i really wanted you to know that, and as for the supporter who was lucky enough to hear you venting, what can i say, i’d be happy to support your venting, just say when. i can only imagine that even though you are grateful, and happy, that is is rough on you mentally and physically, not to mention the toll it must take on your family. You must know that we appreciate all of it, and thank you “endlessly-don’t forget that were feeling what your feeling inside” looking forward to 5* this summer….please? goodluck to you all.

AMAZING! That’s what your “supporters” think of you all! My sister and I flew in from MD to see you guys in San Diego and L.A. and were amazed, yet again, by the two shows you guys put on! After seeing the wonderful AMA performance we were wondering how you guys were functioning. I am glad that you can feel the love and support and hope that you never doubt it. You guys have influenced many of our lives in such a positive light, most beginning 20 years ago or so, and I personally know I could never say “Thank you” enough!

Joe, I just got home from the most amazing week! I was one of those “supporters” in the cheap seats cheering for you guys. You were amazing! Truly amazing. I felt so proud that I swore I was floating. Then to experience the San Diego show and the LA show 2 days in a row was more than I could have ever asked for. Thank you for everything. It was so amazing to see you and Jordan in the hallway as my friend and I left the bathroom. What a shock, and I know you guys were shocked to see us too. But, thank you for taking a moment. Then front row for B Stage. I thought after being 6th row in New Orleans that it couldn’t get any better…but, B Stage was. Thanks for the wink and hand grab. LA was amazing too. Such energy in that place and you guys gave us lots of little extras. Thanks for showing us some skin

We are grateful for all that you five do for us, and to your wives/significant others for letting you! Thank you for the “Joe Face Time” in Cleveland at the M&G. When you turned me around to see the back of my vintage Magic Summer Tour shirt, I was speechless. I have been a Joe Girl since the beginning and that was surreal to me. I’m not sure that you five really know how much you mean to all of us. You were (well ARE obviously since I can’t stop logging on here and checking out Youtube) a significant part of my life and the lives of so many others. We will most definitely be “loving you (five) forever” and “if you go away” life won’t be the same.

Joe….you brought tears to my eyes with this blog….happy tears.
I was one of those “supporters” in those cheap seats that night. I screamed for you guys as much as I could. I love you guys, you are all very special to me and I was proud to be there to support you. I wish I could have told you this in person in San Diego during the Soundcheck M&G but I just stared at you instead, you seem to get me speechless everytime. At least my friend told you when we ran into you and Jordan in the hallway in SD…I must say I was shocked.
Thank you for making this year a very special year for me. I really enjoyed following you guys around for several concerts, I never tired of seeing you guys onstage. I think all 5 of you are incredibly talented men and I admire how you guys gave it everything you had night after night. I honestly don’t know how you did all those shows. I hope you get some well deserved rest and I wish you the best in Mexico and Europe. I will be waiting to do it all over again for the Summer Tour 2009 (keeping my fingers crossed).
Oh….tell Jordan I will miss seeing him most of all…I think he stole my heart when I first met him in October. I will be eagerly anticipating the summer tour.

With all these replies you probably won’t get to mine, but I just wanted to say that your supporters are more then just that….I find myself, playing “The Block” on repeat in my office every single day, then leaving the office and having “The Block” playing in my car on the way home =D The groups pic has replaced my children’s pic on my desktop wallpaper (calm down, I still have all their arts and crafts and framed pictures all around my office:) although, I am tempted to break out my old and new NKOTB posters and redo the walls in here like my old bedroom at my mom and dad’s house, but I don’t think my SVP may agree too much. lol. I feel that ever since you’ve all come back, besides the 14 year old jitters and the not so innocent dreams I’ve been having =D You’ve given us, well at least ME, some kind of confidence back…if that makes any sense. Strength, to make changes, positive changes in my life… happiness… I don’t know… I guess I can’t get into it now, but you five have given me the courage to let go and find true happiness…. more then you’ll ever know, you make changes in our ways of thinking, our lives and in our hearts. I am truly grateful for your return…. I believe there was a reason, maybe not specific to me, but it sure does feel like it. Have a great Thanksgiving…. and tell the guys, we want you and them to stick around for longer then maybe you all can handle. =D

Joe, the Sat of the Tacoma show, I drove 4 hrs to San Francisco, got on a plane for 2 hrs to Seattle and then saw your concert that night and then caught a plane back to CA at 7am the next morning!! I thought about you guys all night knowing you’d have a similar traveling schedule. I was exhausted, but you guys must have been beyond exhausted!! I just thank YOU from the bottom of my heart that, despite the insane schedule, you guys are back here in our lives. It’s given my life a spark again and it’s been a heck of a ride the past few months! I hope you had a wonderful few days off for Thanksgiving and enjoy the few weeks off that you have. You guys deserve it!!! We can’t WAIT to see what 2009 holds though!!!!! We’ll never stop coming to those shows!

I am grateful to have you guys come back this year. It has been a great year and you guys are a main reason why. I am also grateful to your families for letting us have you back! I know it is a great sacrifice for everyone involved. I am so in awe of Barrett for going on tour and trying to live life with a baby and this crazy schedule. I am also super jealous because I would love to go on a kick @ss road trip with you guys! What fun!!! I saw Barrett in Omaha walking with Griffin, and I would never go up to her, but I thanked her in my head. Also, I wanted to say that on the flight back to Chicago I dared my friend to say “Let’s get this!” to the flight attendant and she did and we got free cocktails and bags of chips, pretzels, and cookies! Thanks Joe!
When I was watching the AMA’s I saw the Jonas Bros and they said “We have the greatest fans in the world” and I yelled “You punks don’t even KNOW!” Where will they be in 15 years HUH??!!! Love you, Carey

Thanks for sharing. The past several months have been the most fun I’ve ever had even though I’ve been the sickest I’ve ever been…I HAD to add that because along with the sublime, there are always setbacks too & you shouldn’t ever be afraid to express them. I think they just make the good even stand out as all the more special. Being one of the lucky supporters(I like that) who got to enjoy a VIP 5*, I just want to thank all of you for making each of us …in my group for sure…so happy & being treated as special. We have memories we’ll never forget. The look on your face was so sweet when you came up to me & hugged me & the funny story my friend told us about how you blocked her from getting by Jordan & demanding a tole fee to get past you to him really cracked us up. Each of you left us with a special memory. Please thank Jordan for making sure I got to be by him for the picture…BTW…someone tell ILAA to get a professional camera & photographer. The meetings & all else were great but the grainy wide stretched pix are the worst I’ve ever seen & a moment of arranging the groups would have helped so much. Anyway, thanks for EVERYTHING & I hope I can depend on Jordan & Jon meaning it when telling me to come back & their response to me saying YOU have to come back & their saying “We will!”.

Joe! Wow! Thanks for all of that. I could tell that it was totally from the heart. You all getting back together has been a wonderful experience that I really cannot explain. I have not EVER seen you all live, but I have been a fan since the age of 2. I would sit and watch you all on tv when I was a little older and it’s so weird to think that you all were my first “crushes” at a young age.
I will not lie, I have been a boy band follower throughout my life, but when you all came back out and performed together for the first time, I was planning my wedding with my fiance and I looked at him and said that this was the BEST news ever. Now he thinks I am nuts, but deals well, because I am an NKOTB freak. My dad still knows all the words to your older songs because I played them so much.
The point of this whole thing is, is that things change so much in life, and so many times, the are NOT for the better. When you all performed for the first time, I felt like I was 4 years old again seeing you for the first time. How amazing, and although Jon has ALWAYS been my favorite, I love you all.
You do have to do us all a favor though. Please, please, please, thank your families for allowing this to happen.It is great that they are accepting and understanding, but please spend time with them. DO NOT get burnt out, please.
The “supporters” love you all so much and I hope that you ALL have a Happy Holiday Season!

aw joey you are the sweetest. i feel blessed to live in a world where hot men like yourself work so hard to please your “supporters”. Alot of my friends have become fans we litterally dance and sing NKOTB songs all day at school one time i got several tables in the cafeteria all singing and then the dean came over and yelled at us and then another time i got my whole french class to sing and then our bitter old french teacher said “NE CHANTER PAS N’EST PAS UNE MUSICALE” i swear the authority figures in our school just dont understand the awesomness of NKOTB. Y’all were amazing on the AMA’s it was like the most amazing night on television for me because my two favorite things in this world are NKOTB and Miley Cyrus and y’all were both there! Joe when you started singing with that huge smile i thought i was gonna like exploded from happiness i dont think ive ever felt that happy i couldve watched you sing “if you came here by yourself tonight” forever and be more than content for the rest of my life and for a while i did but then my sister got annoyed and threw something at me. but ya yall rocked! (although jordan looked a little spacey at one point it was a little concerning) and you can say that we’re the most special fans but thats only because your the most special guys on this earth especially you joey

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you so much for reuniting, this is a dream come true from a fan of 20 years! I was at the Tacoma Dome show, what an amazing performance you guys put on. The highlight of my night was you all appearing on that little stage, just feet away from me. I am grateful to have been a small part of this fantastic ride you are on. I haven’t taken your new CD out of my car since I purchased it, I know about every song now. Not that I don’t love the old stuff, my your new stuff rocks! I look forward to more albums and tours and hopefully someday thanking you all in person.

Ha, ha! I like that someone in Vancouver put you ‘in check’. (I went to that concert in Van too). That was my very first NKOTB concert - something I wanted to experience back in the day! I was impressed with the interaction and how much the group gave out. For instance, the performance right in the middle of everything! Now, I would love to go on that cruise. Do come again to Van!
