JOE and MSG

Madison Square Garden is like playing in the Super Bowl- its still
just a show. You go out and do your thing; give it your best shot,
execute what you’ve practiced and hit it. But at MSG every move and
song is heightened. You are soaking up every moment but constantly
aware that you are in “the world’s most famous arena”. Its a place
that for many fields is a pinnacle and in the music business it is
viewed by many as the coolest place to play. Playing there, I think of
the location- right in the heart of Manhattan, close to “Broadway”…
I lived in NYC for ten years and walked by so many many times, been
there a bunch- during basketball games the court is illuminated in such
an inimitable way there…such theater. And of course, I had performed
there with the “Kids” before and at 16 I knew it was special. And
maybe for the first time, the younger me enjoyed it more cuz I wasn’t
thinking so much then. Don’t get me wrong, I had a blast and now I
have another photo album of memories in my heart. But I left that
night wanting more- like it was half-time instead of the end of the
game.

Walking down the back stage hallway, lined with photos with so much
history, so many great artists.
Such a privilege, I’d be a fool to wish for another.

But then again….

Don’t ever stop performing and singing, you belong on the stage. I enjoy watching you. What’s with all these pranks being pulled on your while your onstage. Are you planning any revenge on the guys? I can tell you all are having a blast, and we really enjoyed the last one. (NKTV) Priceless! Have you seen how much that post has blown up in 2 day? Insane! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and memories with us. I have been trying to sum up my experience seeing you in San Antonio and just haven’t found the words, but you said it all. It felt like half time and you left us wanting more. Is it selfish to want more? I don’t think so. You can’t have too much of a good thing :)I really hope you guys add a 2nd leg to the tour. I would love to see the show one more time. I think the first time I was in shock and didn’t really take it all in. We need another tour!!!
Be safe on the rest of the tour. Tell your families thanks for sharing you with us!

    Shelley

  23. Kaydells Says:

    Joey Joe!!
Leave it to you to keep things in perspective. We too want MORE!!!!! The past 15 years something in us has been dormant just like I am sure it has been for each of you. With the 5 of you back together again, we are all ALIVE AND KICKING again… Thank you for taking us along on the ride.. It has been a pleasure watching you grow into such a wonderful, respectable man. Tell the guys thank you for never letting us fans down and sticking to your morals and roots and not letting the fame get the best of you.

Can’t wait to meet you in Denver, 5* VIP. I want a photo and autograph with you.

By the way, the MSG prank, was not funny at the time, but I love that you guys are still the funny, down to earth, light hearted bunch that you always have been. Maybe that is why the chemistry has always been right when you all are together.

You guys must have had a blast, pranks and all. ;) I can say when I saw you in Boston, I left with a very similar feeling. It can’t be over! It doesn’t feel over… I want to do it all over again! So why not???? See you next week in Providence! ;)

  28. 88elaine317 Says:

I wish I could’ve been there to share that memory with you guys….I missed the Coliseum’s concert and the one at MSG…but I try to keep things positive and have that memory of meeting you at the signing on Long Island about 2 months ago. The Garden is a great place to be, and you know that the Kids will be posted up in the hallway of memories one day very soon. I hope you guys decide to come back to New York sooner then later….to give me that chance to see you again, Joke around with you and Jordan like we did on the Island….Loved you since I was 13 now 29… my how time flys by, but you never forget your first loves, all five of them! {hugs} Keep rocking the world, you guys can’t leave us…we’d be lost again.

  29. Beth9 Says:

dfAs a fan for 20 plus years, I can honestly say that the concert at MSG was mind blowing. How you all have the stamina to do what you do all of these years later boggles my mind. You were all phenomenal. The fans are so lucky that you all chose to take time away from your families to to this once again!!

  30. pamfan Says:

how great is that? do you know every person seeing you gets the same feeling you are describing? most of us have experienced other entertainers/bands, but when nkotb arrives, it is the super bowl of concerts…we don’t want it to be over either!! so glad that you were able to have that experience for your memory bank!

Is that a hint that there really will be a summer tour? I hope so! Because your fans haven’t had enough yet :) I was at the show in Detroit on Saturday night. My best friend and I had an amazing time! Thanks for rocking the Palace!

Oh, and if you could do me a favor I’d appreciate it. I was seated on the floor and when you guys walked back by my row on your way back to the main stage, I had my hand out. Some girl spilled her drink as she tried to attack one or all of you and as you were stepping over it to avoid the mess, I thought I was going to be passed by. But then Jon reached over, grabbed my hand and squeezed it. So please tell him thanks for making my night even better than it already was :)

It sounds like an amazing privilege. Hopefully you will get to go again!

I saw you twice in Chicago – you all were amazing! After flying out to New York too see you all at the Today show – and not getting too close – it was such a thrill to be 12th row and then just about front row for the smaller stage. Perhaps you remember me – I was the crazy fan holding up a jean jacket with a New Kids patch affixed to the back. (My mom made me the jacket when I was in 3rd grade! How funny!) Seeing you guys so close was my 9 year old dream that came true at the age of 26!

Good luck with the rest of the tour! Congrats on your marriage and your little son!!

    Please come back to Chicago!!

Just come out and say it….please!! Stop. The. Teasing. It’s as bad as dangling a nice, juicy, ribeye steak in front of a hungry dog. For those of us who’ve already attended your concert, we are wanting MORE!! So grant us all a Christmas gift by announcing you’ll be doing another US tour next summer. That is on my Christmas wishlist, and thankfully my husband is very understanding with all this!

  77. Keba_Diva Says:

    The end of the game…………….*Sigh*
Well, Mr Mc you’ve done it once, twice…..Who knows what life has in store. I saw you belting out “New York” on a vid from MSG. Like you said when you ended.. “It’s not how your start, It’s how you finish!” If this is a note to end it on with the reunion and doing things the right way and being content with your work and doing things your way- then what a way to end it.

Have y’all seen Spike Lee’s Joint “Do the right thing”?
“Yo Sal, how come there no brothers up on the wall?”…………..LMAO (I hope one of you guys have or you wont get it)

When do you guys get you pic up in MSG?

See you in Jan @ the O2 VIP

  78. cj214 Says:

This was an absolute amazing concert. I have been to the one in Montreal, and this one by far was much more outrageous! This has been exciting trip following NKOTB after all these years. I still have another concert to attend in Borgata November 7th, and can’t wait! Meeting you guys has also been wonderful, which makes me even more obsessed. LOL!!! No words can explain my excitement and joy I feel when hearing your music!! Love you guys ~always and forever~ <3charlene

  81. Twin Momma Says:

It must be the pinnacle of a career, kind of like winning the superbowl. The build up and then there’s after. I hope that the arenas to come still give you some sense of satisfaction. We are so anticipating your future performances!…better with age, Joe, better with age, no doubt! And, I’m so happy to see your son with you every so often! I hope the other guys are able to get some one-on-one with their families through this…they must miss them terribly! Thank-you again, for giving of your time and your heart to this whole thing! 86. kimberdancer Says:

Aw…it’s still half time because you haven’t been to Charlotte, yet! Okay, so it’s not the Madison, but the people there will make it seem you’re into the second half of the game:) Does that sound vain?

Anyway, I will see you all tomorrow night, and I can’t wait! This is a dream for me, and tomorrow night will be my “Madison Square Garden” moment:)

Thank you for sharing with us, as always! I love my Joey Joe:) (I am so happy to be seing the Smiley Face jacket again…woohoo!).

    Hey Joe,
That’s always been a dream of mine as well. I probably won’t get to perform @ MSG unless they bring theater there. Although I love to sing - I think I’m a better actress. Anywho, who knows - maybe we’ll be casted in something together someday. But for now - thanks for the show at MSG you were FAB and the boys were GREAT! I am still completely SHOCKED at the fact that you hit those “please dont go girl” notes! You probably had to do major training for that. All-in-All, you were GREAT and I am so happy to see that you’ve grown into such a GREAT singer and performer! Rock on my brother and stay real!

(I must say….when I saw the title “Joe and MSG” I thought I was going to be reading about the MSG that causes headaches that’s in a lot of chinese food. I was so worried you had a migraine or something awful. I’m glad you’re not sick! :) Haha!)

  95. FIGGYBEAN Says:

    hey joe!
you should totally write up a journal bout this reunion tour and sell it! or..give it to us fans…everytime you write its pure magic!! i love reading your thoughts and can’t wait to read more! I had a blast at MSG, mainly the VIP, cuz i had to sit through most of the concert(damn knee). oh btw, it was AWESOME meeting you! i was in b group and the last one out. I jokingly scratched you back and when you turned around and greeted me…dude i think you gave me a slight heart attack. it was the most unexpected sensation but, you are GORGEOUS( i know you know but in person and up close it was like i was surrounded in this fog, like you at the Borgata, of just how amazing you are)!! oh…BESO BESO from me and my cousin…next time we will show you what that means!!!! BUUUUT when i saw on the screen that you got on the piano and sang New York New York…i cried for the first time at a NKOTB concert(don’t get me wrong y’all always manage to tear me up at some point at every show ive been to) but it really really hit me Monday. That was the song my dad always had me sing at all the filipin parties when i was younger…and to actually be in NYC, with the all y’all and to have you (mr. sinatra’s #1 fan) belting out that song with your wonderful voice…i’m teary just remembering that moment!!! btw…last night lynn and i sang NY NY in your honor during our NKOTB/80’s/depressing love song Karaoke night:):)
    see you next week!

I’ll be one of the girls in the Windy City…. waiting with my neon green JOE sign. This time I’ll try not to lock my keys in the car if you should appear in the parking lot.
I am cherishing every moment from the concerts, to meeting you guys (planned and unplanned experiences), and meeting all of the other ladies who have waited just as long as me. I too hope I’m not a fool to wish for more NKOTB.
    Love,

    Stay well on the road.

Joe, I just love reading your blogs. You are a very good writer. Have you ever written stories? I imagine you would probably be excellent at writing children’s books. Especially with the inspiration of your child to guide you.

I have never been to MSG myself, but have always wanted to see it. I’m glad your show went well and am soooooo looking forward to my turn in Kansas City on November 11! Take care of that beautiful voice! :-)

I was at MSG and you guys were amazing!! I have to say that was the best concert I had ever been to, and I have been to a lot!! When you guys first came out I felt like a little girl all over again screaming and jumping up and down. I had goosebumps every where. You guys are great performers and have so much talent! I’m so glad you guys have come back to your fans. New Kids fans never die and we will follow your journey all the way!! I was a die hard fan back in the day but now I have much more appreciation for you guys and what you do. I couldn’t believe how packed the garden was and at the end when you guys did hanging tough and seeing everyone wave their arms is something i will never forget..Thanks for a great show!!! Can’t wait till you come back to NY…Oh and for Jon who said he was shy..he was great and adorable…you guys just keep shining!!!

  104. candacerf Says:

Oh Joey: Thank you for sharing that experience with me. I can only imagine how amazing that felt. NYC/Broadway is the place I hope to come someday in the near future. I can only imagine the magic that you feel being there.
Just to think you stood where “Ole Blue Eyes” himself has stood probably so many times; that in itself had to be an fabulous feeling. I can just feel your heart right now.

But I have to say seeing you and the rest of the NKOTB men for the first time; you really have a amazing stage presence. You really stand out and shine. More than Jordan and Donnie; I enjoyed watching and hearing you. Now mind you I love looking at Donnie I think he is the greatest looking man alive, but you really hold the stage with your singing abilty, and you are not so hard on the eyes either. But when you’ve got it, you’ve got it. And Baby Blues you have it. Don’t lose it. Keep it coming, keep it coming.

Thank you again for coming back and giving me an opportunity to see you and the NKOTB men.

  105. NKOTB Rule Says:

    Hey Joey Joe,

It’s about time you finally wrote us. I was wondering to myself when will he ever write to he’s fans. I was totally missing you. Which reminds me, I totally had such a good time and a wonderful time on October 2nd at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. to see you in concert for the 2nd time. Esp with the guys Donnie, Jonathan, Jordan and Danny. You all just made my night. I never screamed so much in my entire life. It was like everytime I saw you on the screen and when you were on the piano or beside it I just kept screaming your name and saying I LOVE YOU. After it was totally OVER I was still arounded up afterwards. Plus I didn’t fall out until 3:11 that morning. Anyhow, I’m praying that you will return back to Washington, D.C. next year and please. I’m dying to meet you and the guys in person someday. That has always been my Childhood Dream since I was 10 years old.

    NKOTB Will Always Be #1

I am so glad that you are still able to be in awe of your life. You all really have such a great life. What fun. I want to go on tour with you! Come on! I’m super fun! I missed you guys on the 24th in Chicago. The work party that I threw to “distract” myself turned into a nightmare from the 17th circle of hell. I was crying in the parking lot because it was a mess and I knew what I was missing. I really hope you can come back to Chicago or do another tour so I can redeem myself! Someone I know went (thanks for the invite!) and Donnie took her camera while on stage B and took pictures! I can’t wait to see them! I hope you continue to enjoy this. I know I will. Love you all, Love me

  112. JordansGirl Says:

I <3 you, Joe. I love all of you.

Meeting you all in Chicago at the M&G will be one of the most memorable moments of my life.

I was so locked up and afraid to talk… I think I got a “we met your dad years ago and he was so great to us” out…

That was only part of a great story. Maybe some day soon, I’ll get to share a few of the beautiful details with you. If you’re interested in hearing it.

Thank you all so much for doing this. I look around at how crazy it must be for you an only hope the craziness doesn’t get to be too much and pushes you all away again.

My best friend (who ironically met your dad with me) said yesterday she didn’t want to go to a show and get attached again… she couldn’t put herself through the heartache of another rocky split :(

    I know the feeling.

I wish we could put into words what you all mean to some of us. But it is impossible. But another thing she said was… “Damn, Tasha. Those guys gave us a lot of ambition, didn’t they? Something to shoot for?” That’s an understatement, but the best words can do I guess.

    Thank you, Joe.

    All my love,
    Natasha

    My love JOEY,

My dreams of 20 years finally came true! I cannot thank you more for coming back! Thanks for the great loving show. I loved your sweet voice and sexy dance! I could not stop crying while you came up on the stage singing SINGLE. I’ve got to see you, hug you and tell you how much I love you next time! I love you always and keep on Rockin’! Take care!

PS. Pleeeease come and see us in Japan, too!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. MSG is such a special place for every musician. I am so glad you had an amazing show at MSG after all those years. I really wish I was there…(I had my friend at the front row center and she had a blast!)
Joe, sorry for the stupid question… did you get emotional being at MSG more than being at TD banknorth garden? I was watching Celtics opening game tonight on tv, and I was like “ohh garden… I was there… Paul Pierce joined the show… I had a blast… I met them…!” and I got goose bumps. It may sound strange but TD banknorth garden is now very special place for me =)

    Love,

    Dear Joe,

You deserve to perform there. You and the “kidz’ were great and still great now. You have proven that. I’m not there, I am miles-miles away, but from what I saw in this website, I think you all did great. It’s a another new beginning for your career. You did solo (and you do great coz you came to my country which is so far away from US to do promo album) and now you try to be with the “kidz’ again and your fans are still there. You guys still good performer, but with different taste now (which is totally okay, actually).

You have rocked the world, and you do again now.

I’ve seen NKTV (show 29), part that you said, “Before Justin, there were Jordan.” I laughed at the moment, coz you are so right, Joe. But you know, donnie is right too, “First it was Frank, then it was Joey D.” Although you must have a million records to catch him… :)

It’s not the end of the game, Joe. You still have many chances to be bigger and bigger.

    Love

Wow….I have goosebumps from reading that.
I continue to have more and more respect for you, with every thing I read.
You are an amazing person, with amazing dreams, and you are so successful, not only because you are amazingly talented, but you ALWAYS strive for more. That shows a great entertainer, your lines don’t end at just being with “The Kids”.
Joe, you WILL have another show at MSG…I can guarantee, as you will at MANY other amazing arena’s around North America and The World. The Block has resurfaced in a way most thought would be unimagineable.
The show is amazing, I was so fortunate to see you 3 times in Toronto….and I can’t wait to get myself out to another show.
You have some serious talents Joe, and as Donnie said….

“First there was the Chair Man of the Board, Then Joey D….There has only been 1 OL’BLUE EYES since Frank, and thats you”

Keep doing what your doing Joe, because you are so extremely talented!
    I’ll always be a fan!

    Hi Joe,
Thank you all so much for a Great Night!
    I was a vip 5 star.
You guys still have it. You are GREAT singers, GREAT performers. I’ve been to many concerts and this one is the best one.
Please tell Jon I said hello. I was the one who stood up at the end of the show and threw him a kiss(turqouise shirt). He thought I was crazy for doing something like that. I am Extremely shy and never have I done anything like that….but I just had to do it. I am fan of 20 years. I’m sure if you ask him, he’ll tell you.
Thank you Jordan for saving a spot for me to take the picture with you.
    God bless all of you.

You tease!! I loved watching the NKTV of you talking about all the legends that had been there before. You can tell that you really appreciate the classics. Guess what, YOU are a classic!! Well, after you hit up MSG again you might as well stop off here in Cleveland. Love you guys, thank you so much! XOXO Jenni

  150. LinaGirl26 Says:

Joe, you gave me serious chills hearing you belt out “New York, New York” with all your heart! I was singing right along with you (the crowd went nuts went you did that - lemme tell you) I’m soooo happy and proud that you were able to do that in my hometown… Hopefully you’ll be able to do it again…soon…

    ;-)

  151. Tara_L_B Says:

Hey Joe, I was at the Garden and it was, by far, the BEST show ever. I could not believe Donnie traded his Sox hat for the Yankee hat (I’m a huge Mets fan, so naturally I HATE the Yankees). It may have only been 5 minutes or so but it had to be torture for him…It was great to see the gratitude he (and all of you) showed to us NY’ers. You think that YOU wanted more? I think that we all wanted more. You guys def gotta come back!!!

    Tara

PS - Loved the Sinatra thing! :)

  152. zeldakitten Says:

I know you get a ton of these messages, but I am so surprised by how much I love your new CD, and how wonderful your concert was! I have been listening to The Block daily since I bought it a month ago, and I never really do that. It is driving my husband crazy, because usually we listen to classic rock together. He did ask to hear Single the other day, so that was a step in the right direction. I was so sad I couldn’t see you the second time you came through Chicago, but maybe I can see you all again in the future. Much love.

  153. aprildenay Says:

I know how you feel. This will sound silly, but after meeting you guys and seeing the show in Dallas, I am NOT satisfied. I NOW NEED MORE! ;) You guys are like a deliciously good drug. As always my simple request “Sexify My Love!”

Leave us hanging with the “but then again…”

    Thanks JOE.

  155. LinaGirl26 Says:

  156. Niki0717 Says:

  160. Lilac18 Says:

I’m really glad you are enjoying this all so much. How are Griffin and Barrett doing on the road. It’s really nice how I keep hearing that the three of you get out a bit and tend to go out for a nice family breakfast in the morning when you can. That must bring some calm to all the chaos, well except for when you run into fans :) Griffin is going to be so used to eating in restaurants that it will be a breeze to take him out! Is he walking yet? My daughter didn’t start til 14 months but he looked like he was well on his way (despite the bumpy bus rides).

Keep enjoying every minute of this (we all are) and thanks so much for all the updates, including the goofy ones (I knew Jordan wasn’t really hurt, you guys didn’t have me fooled for a minute … ok, maybe just for like a split-second).

Oh, and make sure you have another chance for Boston fans to meet you some day. I botched my first two chances to meet you, even after waiting out in the rain at 5 AM. None of that’s not your fault of course but I’m hoping for just one more chance!

    Much Love,
    Lilac18

Hope you check FACEBOOK because, myself and like 20,000 other fans LOVE LOVE LOVE you guys……we are fanatic all over again because of the fact you guys came back to us. It was like, a long lost LOVE..that returned to our lives. I can’t work anymore…..it’s pathetic, but I’m having such a great time reliving my youth again with you boys.

Enjoy every minute because WE ARE LOVING IT!!! THANK YOU JOE!!! - Kathy (Cleveland VIP terrible towel girl);)

  164. mattie0808 Says:

Joe, I think you summed it up. I was wondering if the MSG show would really be “different” or “special” beyond the general amazingness that always comes with seeing you guys, and seeing you perform. (I think as a Knicks fan, I’ve been stuck with going to MSG lately for less-than-incredible experiences!) But let me tell you…the show had every ounce of “difference” and “specialness” that comes with being in the Greatest City in the World and in the World’s Most Famous Arena. Incredible, unbelievable show from start to finish, and sharing it with the sold-out crowd (and the Blockhead friends I’ve made since this reunion started) made it even better. I never got to see the New Kids in concert back in the day, and am going to at least four shows this tour (I have two left)…but I have to say that between the glorious 5* event at my first show at Izod, and the whole MSG experience, I don’t think I can top what’s already happened. I’ll just keep going to enjoy the kick-@$$ show and angle for a little more Face Time if I can get it. :) But I’m an unbelievably happy and satisfied New Kids fan. I don’t think I can thank you guys enough for doing this reunion and making everything that’s happened this year possible.

  165. ya-ya Says:

    Hey Joe,

Thats amazing that you realize how blessed you are and what a great privileged the experience. I felt nothing but gratitude from that blog .I would have to agree with the history aspect of MSG. Some people dont realize how blessed they are and what opportunities they have in front of them. I have never had the chance to go to the Gardens but I hear it is awsome. Thanks for being real..

    Peace, love, and blessing :)

  166. can20 Says:

Ah, i bet it was AMAZING! I seen you guys in Cleveland, im from Pittsburgh.. THE BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! First time seeing you guys! I have loved watching and listening to you since I 3! I drove to Cleveland to see you guys and i would drive anywhere i could! Maybe next time you’ll do us Pittsburgh fans a favor and come see us here! I know you wont regret it we know how to have a good time here! :)

I was at MSG on 10/27. I had never been to a show as a teen. I didn’t knwo what to expect. The show was amazing!!! You guys are awesome. Thanks so much for making a 31yr old very happy–and for being such a huge part of my Middle School/teen years!

    Jessica, NJ

  171. Kelley Says:

That’s exactly how I felt about meeting you guys and seeing you in concert in Detroit last Saturday. I thought once would be enough, that it was such an amazing experience, and that I was so lucky to have that front row center seat that I’d never need to do it again… and yet as I was leaving both the meet and greet and the concert, I already knew that I wanted to do it all over again. I don’t think i’ll ever be able to pass up the opportunity to see you guys live when you’re in town from here on out, whether as a group or as solo artists. I know how fortunate I was to be a part of that experience, and I know that no concert, no event, no performance, will ever even come close to what I experienced that night. But still, I WANT MORE! :) Thank you for making all my years of being a fan pay off in one spectacular night, and congrats on MSG and all your other big moments recently… you deserve that and so much more. I said it to all five of you at the meet and greet, but I’ll say it again: I love you!!!

  172. blockheadmom Says:

Getting to meet you in chiago was a dream come true. You need to come back my picture with you didnt turn out and I need a better one. Thanks for coming back and letting us married moms feel like 15 year old screaming teenagers.

    Jenn

  173. Essentia Says:

There’s nothing wrong with wanting more! :) You wouldn’t be a fool, you guys have earned all of the accolades and all the special moments you’ve had. You’ve been doing this most of your life, and the passion, the drive, the talent.. it’s all there. I know what you’re saying but… if you want more.. then I hope you get it! If you want to be on that stage again, be in those halls with those famous faces, those influential artists… I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you that you have that shot.

Of course.. I think at this point, it’s really just a matter of deciding that you really do want it. You know we’ll back you up! :) So I guess I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll decide you want it, that the other guys decide they want it too. We’re here, we’re ready, we’re waiting for ‘what’s next’. What we aren’t ready for is all this to be over…!

    Maybe this wasn’t halftime… maybe this was just the pre-show warm-up..? ;)

    Love you lots, Mr. Mac!

  174. Whitney53 Says:

I agree I completely agree with the magnitude of MSG. When my girls and I (TX 4) traveled to NYC to see you guys on the Today Show in May, we traveled by train to MSG. When we stepped outside we just stood and gawked for a few minutes. We didn’t say anything…none of us had to. We just knew that being in the presence of the Garden was enough in itself. We were overwhelmed. Seeing the NKTV video of all of the entertainers that have graced the stages of MSG only reconfirms my feelings that were present in May. With that said, you guys DESERVE to be on that stage as well. You guys have gone through things as a group that would have corrupted and broken down friendships and relationships. However, you guys have always known that the most important aspect of any group is the dynamics between the individuals. THAT is what you guys have maintained. The friendship and respect for one another survived as has the significance of MSG.

We don’t want this to end. And as your song says “We don’t want to come down” from whatever this thing is. It’s amazing and wonderful and we want more. We know it is difficult in today’s society to lead such an outward and publicized life when you have a family and children and we thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of that.

I’m hoping that “And then again…” is a precursor for much, much more. I know each and everyone of you won’t be satisfied with one tour…you want more…and we want more.

    See you next summer.
    Whitney

I loved the video of you guys walking down the hall. Now they need to put your picture on the wall. How about between Frank & Bruce. What about Jordan, was that a big joke or did he really hurt himself? There has been no word from you guys about it. The fan site everyone is saying that it was a prank. I hope it was but if not wish him well and get better by Philly next Wed. I cant wait to see you guys!! I love the blogs and NKTV!!! Keep it comming Love you guys!! Amie

I wish I could have been there to see it. You played MSG on my birthday!!! And technically, I had the time off, but there’s no way my husband would have let me to go to New York just for a concert. Too bad.

Less than 4 weeks till I see you guys in Vancouver and then Seattle. It’s insane to think that your US tour is already half way over. I’ll definitely be looking forward to your summer tour next year. You should really go back to Reno and do the Lawlor Events Center. That would totally bring everything full circle for me. That was where I first saw you back in February 1991!

Wonderful blog. Thank you so much :) Hopefully, this isn’t the end, because we’d love to see more from you guys!

  196. ChristieBlinzler Says:

You all came to us when we needed you back in the ’80’s where everything, well shall i say, just plain crazy and confusing. Especially, to us teenage girls who were trying to understand life and live with all its demands. I cant say for everyone, but i can honestly say that when the day was all said and done, closing my bedroom door and putting on my cassette tapes of NKOTB, and looking at all my posters, or cutting out pictures of you guys from “Teen Beat” magazine, it was peaceful, and just gave me a sense of calm. Now, 16 years later, you would think that everyone who ever enjoyed those moments, would be nothing short of GREATFUL that we were blessed to have you a part of our lives one more time. It has to be hard to have women trying to claw their way to just get a glimps of you or touch you, even for a second. You would have thought that those same teenage girls grew into respectable women. That in itself should have been the greatest “thank you” to you. If there are people still fighting over someone talking mean about you guys, or making jokes, or even fighting with one another in this blog, WHICH WE SHOULD BE GREATFUL AGAIN THAT YOU GUYS CAN KEEP SUCH A CLOSE DISTANCE, EVEN ON THE INTERNET, WITH YOUR FANS….There should be no reason to abuse that. We all grew up, and got over the “high school jealousy junk”, right? WE LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH. AND NO MATTER WHAT WE ARE IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL…PLEASE GIVE THIS NEW GENERATION THE SAME POSITIVE LIGHT INTO THE FUTURE THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, NKOTB IS LIVING PROOF! ;) PEOPLE SAID YOU COULDNT DO IT AGAIN, AND LOOK YOU HAVE YOUR GENERATION OF WOMEN WHO HELD YOU CLOSE TO THEIR HEARTS IN THEIR TEENAGE YEARS, AND NOW THOSE WOMENS’ CHILDREN WHO GET TO AS BLESSED AS WE ONCE WERE TO HEAR YOUR WONDERFUL MUSIC ON THE RADIO, the bridge between a mother and daughter that could be the strong point of a perfect relationship between them. You give us that “something in common” that could very well save mom and daughter relationships….thanks guys!
please feel free to contact me if you have time, or i will cross my fingers that you are able to convince everyone that you want to hit Albuquerque, NM on your way to Denver, CO. you cancelled us, i still dont know why..but i am waiting for a reschedule, and NOTHING WILL KEEP ME AWAY FROM SEEING YOU ONE MORE TIME……I SAW YOU WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD, AND I WANT TO SEE YOU NOW AT 32…..LOVE YOU GUYS,

Joe, thank you for sharing your experiences on this tour. I too hope that this is only half-time. I saw you guys in San Jose and I can’t wait to see you again. You do realize that as long as you all want to be on stage we will come to see you, right?? :-)

The closest I’ve ever come to MSG was arriving in NYC at the train station underneath MSG (Penn Station perhaps??)! I remember thinking once I came out that I was THIS CLOSE to MSG…

    Love you all!!!

  202. Katherine (...in L.A.) Says:

    Hi Joe,

Your blog just speaks to my heart. It gives us just a small taste of what it must have been like for you to perform that night. If I had been able to, I would have wanted to go to this show to see you all perform in a place with such history. But it was probably a good thing that I didn’t :) .

As I always tell my family & friends, the day that I make the trip to NY is the day that I don’t come back :) . NY is in my heart.

I think you said it best when you said “photo album of memories in my heart.” I caught my breath on that because I only know of one other person who knows exactly what that means and how that feels. Sometimes our greatest memories aren’t those that we catch with a camera but those that we see with our eyes & our hearts & only live on in our mind’s eye for us to share with those that we choose to. You will have A LOT of memories to share with Griffin & others. A lot more memories that will create a spontaneous smile on your face. That happens to me every day.

That happens to me because of some special people that I met in August who gave me a “photo album of memories in my heart.”

Take care Joe & be seeing you soon :D

  203. LillyLovesNKOTB Says:

You were all amazing at MSG. I sat on the side stage and I am so honored to have seen you play there and up close. I hope that you can do it again soon. I have been a fan for a long time, all my friends tell me what a loyal fan I am. But all NKOTB fans are loyal cause u guys r the best. You definatly deserve a group picture backstage cause you are a legend to me and so many others. Loving you forever.

  206. juliemcneil@rogers.com Says:

This is exactly what you did to on Joey Mac… my friends and I went to the Montreal Canada concert which was incredible and when it was over we were left wanting so much more like it just started. I really hope by the way that when you guys are back in Canada in November that you will think about adding a Montreal show because we have all agreed that we would be vip passes and would be travelling to see you. There are a lot of East Coast Canadians that would fill the audtiorium and if you do add a Montreal show or even come closer to New Brunswick (we are 8 hours away) like Halifax Nova Scotia very beautiful you guys would love it and they have great lobster, you would so be warming us up because it’s getting cold out and Jordan when you do Baby I Believe in you whoa it’s to hot to even write… take care glad the tour is going great and I love the vlogs they are awesome. Feel like we are going right along with you.

  207. giddykitty Says:

“Don’t get me wrong, I had a blast and now I have another photo album of memories in my heart. But I left that
night wanting more- like it was half-time instead of the end of the game.”—–

This is how WE feel when we see you in concert! I’ve seen you twice, in LA and San Jose, and I am yearning for November when I see you in LA and San Diego. You mean SOOOOOO much to us. And you are not a fool to wish for another. Keep touring and we promise we’ll give you as many opportunities to play at MSG and anywhere else you want as many times as you want!!! WE LOVE YOU!

  208. Devoted to Donnie Says:

So I know that I’m not alone in this, but you guys are making us crazy. In my everyday life, I am a perfectly normal 30 yr old woman with a career, husband, and child, and yet when it comes to you guys, I’m a crazy person. I check this site way more than I should. Waaaay more than I should. I won’t say how much, but it’s enough that some might call me a stalker. :) And then when I read things you guys write, I find myself trying to decipher what you are trying to tell us…such as the “then again” statement at the end of the blog….You guys know how to get a girls hopes up, and leave us all in suspense, and wanting more. It’s a talent you’ve always had, but it drives me crazy, and the scary part is I think I like it. LOL If you’re coming back around for the summer tour that is all a buzz on these boards, you got to let a girl know, because my original plan was one show. Then it was two. Then it was one regular and on VIP. Then, when that was done, I needed just one more, so I bought tickets the day of, and drove to another state to go. You got all of losing our minds over here. A girl needs time to save her money. I’ve already made plans with some friends, that if you guys make another go round, we are ALL going to ALL the shows in ALL over our surrounding states. It’s an illness I tell you, and I love it.

    All my love
    Kati
P.S. Donnie thanks for making all my little girl dreams come true, with just one hug in Milwaukee.

  209. emyasgar Says:

Joey, The only way I’ve ever seen MSG was on TV, but I can only imagine that incredible adrenaline that runs through you to be in such a place! You, along with the other guys, deserve it!! You guys are just as great as all the legends on the wall!

    Love you lots since ‘86!!!

  210. missyaod Says:

Wow! I didn’t realize you lived in NYC for so long. I knew you lived there, but not that long.

You make me want to go to MSG and just walk that hall.

One day NKOTB will be on that wall as well. You are a part of that wonderful history there too. Despite of you believe it or not. You are musical icons of your days.

LOVE YOU JOE! As always you have a great way with words.

  211. Gosssy Says:

Bwaha Joey I gotta hand it to you and the guys making a prank video you made Jordan spraining his ankle was really off the hook. Some of the fans were so concerned about Jordan. You sure are a prankster job well done at least it shows you all are having a great time on the tour with all of you guys busy schedule you found time to pull prank :=)

  212. aquamama25 Says:

so what you are saying is that there is hope for another tour…we already knew that!!! We want a definite answer!!!!I am so excited to think that maybe you guys will be back around for a third time!!!I hope and hope that us die hard fans can make soooooo much noise for another tour that ya’ll will have no choice!

  216. skyguy74 Says:

Well I have to admit that although your show in Toronto was awesome, you guys totally ROCKED at MSG! I had really good seats which was a bonus too. Your concert back during the Magic Summer tour was my first concert EVER, and I was hooked ever since. As a male fan I sometimes feel a bit out of place amongst all the shrieking girls. I just enjoy watching the connection you have with the audience and take it all in. I idolized you as a teenager and imagined what it would be like to be up on stage doing what yall do. Thanks for coming back!

  220. AAG Says:

My sister and I were at the show and it was amazing!! We were there in ‘89 as well on Thanksgiving and I had just a good a time now as I did when I was 13!! It’s so good to have you guys back- you still seem to be the same bunch of fun lovin “kids” out to just have a good time and you prove that you truly enjoy what you do. It’s nice to see that your attitudes and egos haven’t changed but I must say that you all have aged extremely well. Glad to have you guys back and hope to see you around for many years to come!

  221. katiej1980 Says:

Just wanted to say that I had an amazing time in Chicago Friday night!!!!! From start to finish I had the biggest smile on my face and I didn’t want the night to end. Wish I could be in St Louis on the 10th but there are those nastey things like work and bills that are in the way LOL :) Have a great rest of the tour and hope that there is a summer tour!!!!!

  222. Dinwin Says:

My friends and I went to the concert in Toronto and then decided to drive to Michigan to see it again from the 9th row. Absolutely amazing…….best concert ever. We have been waiting for 15 years for this concert and it was totally worth it. Please, please, please come back to Toronto, we have all been signing a petition to get you guys to come back. It would be great for you guys to start and finish your concert in Toronto!

  223. stephspencer Says:

It feels so different once you put it into words. You guys should be up on that wall, with all the other influential entertainers of our time.

I know I don’t want it to end either! I live in Indiana, but flew to Phoenix for the 10/13 show and was entertained all over again, just like I was at 15! I will be at more than one show next tour, for sure- see you on the flip side!

  224. jessiem Says:

you guys were AMAZING at MSG! i luckily got tickets 3 rows from the floor. i got to see you and the guys run past to get to the second stage. msg was my 3rd show of this tour - each time i see the concert i leave breathless! your frank tribute was super on mon. night. this experience for me has been awesome - you guys will ALWAYS be number 1 in my heart. love you!

  226. Hlynnj3 Says:

    Joe,

You could not have explained it any clearer. After all, what you just said about playing at MSG is how we all feel when we come to your shows. We are amongst music greatness and when it’s the end of the show we all wish it was just half-time as instead of the end of the game. You start off strong, stay on that high and then before you know it its over. Here’s to hoping there will be a Reunion part 2 tour. Dallas was just last week but yet it feels forever ago. Till next time…….

The way you explain MSG I feel like I need to experience it for myself someday…..THANK YOU you for coming back and spending time with the Motor City, I have loved you guys for 20yrs. The feeling of this show was different somehow, in a good way, there was nothing but love and happiness in the arena during a very gloomy time in this country and the city of Detroit - nice to forget about the everyday worries for 1 night.

I didn’t get my Facetime with Donnie, but one day I will! :)

  248. leeloo91290 Says:

As many of us, I was at the MSG as well…there is no word to explain how I felt…did not cry nor went hysterical…I guess I was in my own planet, the NKOTB Planet, dancing, singing (very far from you though…too far) but most of all, I just realized my Baby Girl Dream. I’m probably one of the youngest fans and never had the chance to see you guys on stage until then. I guess the only time(s) you came to Paris on tour, I was still too young anyway and me moving to the US was a blessing (for many reasons but that one too). I’m under shock still, loving it and to those who still think that you’re not worth it, I only have one thing to say: No More Games!! You guys have talent and only those who can’t see it can’t appreciate it. Too bad. Love you guys. Thanks for this amazing show. You just killed it and the Reunion was so unexpected but such a worth…don’t stop it there.Looking forward to meeting you for Real! A Bientot. Tendres Bisous. LeeLoo

Looking forward to it with every heartbeat!

I have to say that MSG was the 3rd time I’ve seen you so far on this tour, and it was….by FAR…..the SICKEST show ever! The energy was umbelievable…the crowd was amazing…you guys were the best I’ve seen you so far…I couldn’t stop smiling and my legs still hurt from jumping up and down the whole night!!!

I can’t wait to see you in AC next week…sadly that will be the last show for me this time around…Such a privilege, I’d be a fool to wish for another.

    Hi Joe,

Reading this only makes me love you more. You guys rocked MSG on Monday. It was my first NKOTB concert and I am so glad it was there. Do you know how much NYC loves you?

I went down to Penn Station to catch the Subway home after the concert and there were all of your fans, elated from the concert, still singing your songs with smiles on their faces, soaking it up an hour later.

To me, you do belong on that wall next to Frankie, Elton, Mary, Bowie. How many bands can come back 20yrs later and have all that undying love like you guys do? How many fans can look around a packed stadium and be touched so deeply by all of the love shown? Did you feel it Joe? Do you remember the screams? That’s love and NYC loves you. You 5 are a part of us in ways maybe you can’t fathom.

MSG is blessed to have you, wants more and can’t want for you to return. We’ll be waiting…..

    With all my love,

That’s how I felt when I was in Toronto…instead it was intermission after the first period (at the ACC)…and I wanted more. Then, I saw the second show…intermission after the second period…I wanted more…there was no third show for me…I want more! 275. circgirl75 Says:

With all the new arena’s and stadiums being built in this country and around the world, only one has stood the test of time…MSG. It’s the one place, no matter how many times you walk past, go inside for an event, or even in your case-play the venue, it has never changed. Even though I do not live in New York, as a little girl, I would dream of someday going to MSG. It’s that one place that no matter who you talk to, everyone knows about. It’s a staple of America! Hopefully it will never change it’s name and live on for many generations to enjoy.
Hopefully you and the rest of the guys will come back on tour to NYC and get a chance to stop again at MSG. But, you know, live and love every moment on stage there. Soak it up!! It’s always better the second time around. :)

  300. mrsh Says:

I saw you guys last night in Atlanta with two buddies and let me say… your show was SO much more than I ever expected. I bought tickets just thinking it would be a fun bit of nostalgia on the eve of my 30th birthday, but WOW was it so much more. I sit here the following morning exhausted from dancing, my voice completely gone and my face literally HURTS from smiling and screaming so much. I went with two friends I did not meet until college, but suddenly we were all 12 again, sharing an experience that we did not get to share together the first time but this time around… it was so much better!

We did not know it at the time, but we suddenly realized once the show started that we got the special chance to be directly next to Stage 2. Crammed right next to the barricades, with fans pushing in behind us, we screamed, danced and reached out our hands like crazy people!! I am almost 30 and there I was, screaming in my friends face, “Jordan winked at me!” It’s fun to let go like that and forget about being an “adult” for an evening.

Thanks so much for putting on a great show - it genuinely shows that you guys still “have it” (perhaps even more so now) and are enjoying yourselves. Your show was probably a little more “PG” back in the day and I loved how the show seemed to be more mature and and sexy… just like your fans! Thanks for letting a generation of women let loose and be crazy for a night - may we all discover that uninhibited inner child again… in our every day lives!

  301. Helens_zone Says:

Hey, Joe. You’re only 35- don’t worry, I didn’t say it so loud. =) I think you will perform at MSG again, either with the New Kids, or with you’re own show. You are an amazing singer and performer.

I hope to see you in concert and meet you in Cincinnati this summer. This is the first tour I have not been to, and it’s making me a little upset. I am worried it could be the last with the New Kids. (You all do have families and other solo projects, too.) So if you all have it in you to keep touring next summer, please come to Cincinnati. It’s a great city for families! =)

    Loving the new album!

Why did you guys cancel your Portland, OR show? I am quite traumatized. My dreams of seeing you guys live again disappeared in a flash. Due to the current state of the economy I won’t be able to travel for a show so I was really hoping to hear that you would reschedule. But I haven’t been able to get any information. I can’t believe that I can actually reach out and communicate to you guys in this way. Imagine if we could have done this 18 yrs ago! Anyway I am really bummed! My birthday is that weekend and I know it would have been the best bday ever.
P.S. My 2 yr old is singing The Right Stuff. He started singing it one day when I wasn’t even playing the CD. I didn’t even teach him. It’s crazy the things they pick up.

Joe, it makes me so happy that you and the New Kids are back with us!! And I’m so happy for you that this amazing tour process that is bringing such joy to all of us fans is also bringing joy and awe and inspiration to you, and in such a variety of ways!

  331. luv2ride Says:

Had a blast at the Atlanta concert last night! Thank you all for all the memories. The show was amazing and even better than imagined. My favorite part was when you guys came out to the piano in the center of the arena. We were pretty far back and could see you better from there. Hope you come back again and, remember, eat plenty of Waffle House. Still my fave! :) Keep rockin!

  332. Staceykay Says:

Joe, I enjoy all the blogs, but I love it when you or Donnie put pen to paper!

  333. april_k Says:

I just love your sense of humor. Period

  334. PaulineAH Says:

I was at the MSG show and it was amazing! It brought back so many memories. The last time I saw you guys in concert I was probably around 14, I am now 30, and I got goosebumps when you guys took the stage. The electricity in The Garden was electric. And you had to love when Donnie put the NY Yankees baseball cap on! He showed NY the love!

  335. JoeyMac4ever Says:

Your truly awesome! I’ve had the pleasure of seeing you guys three times, and can’t seem to get enough of it. I haven’t been able to meet you yet, but hoping one day I’ll have a chance to meet those blue eyes :) You were too cute when you came out of Jordan’s bus after the DC show….I can still see you doing that little dance. …lol.. I loved it! Hoping for this 2009 summer Tour!

    I need some face time!

    Always Joey Mac

Okay - am I the only one that thought MSG stood for well … MSG ???

I read the subject of this blog and thought maybe Joey had some bad Chinese food. ha ha Happy Halloween All!

  337. Megan Says:

    Joe,
You truly have the heart of a poet. Thanks for all the love you show your fans - I can only imagine how exhausting it was. I was at the first show in Chicago and then the one in Milwaukee and while I didn’t get to meet you, it was still wonderful to see you on stage doing what you love. You are an amazing performer! Much love :)

  338. Phee78 Says:

When I saw that footage of you up on that piano singing Frankie I was just so happy for you because that must have been a magical moment! The bit where you sang “It’s up to” and on “you”, every single person stuck an arm in the air and pointed at you, that must have been such an awesome sight from where you were standing. :-)

I heard a radio interview where you said that taking Griffin to the Central Park Zoo even topped performing as MSG, and you could tell what a proud daddy you are, could hear it in your voice. :-)

You’re just an amazing man, JoeyJoe. Keep on doing what you do best. And because I’ve already hassled both Jon and Donnie about this in their blogs, pretty please come and do it down here in Australia before too long. We’d LOVE to see you guys Down Under.

    lotsa love
    Jo

  339. littlebit_1975 Says:

I have not had the pleasure of MSG, but have seen you in the heartland and the south and think that we rock. I thank you all for your show at Charlotte last night– it was a dream come true. I also want to extend the invitation for breakfast. Normally, my edit button is on…I am naturally shy and at the meet and greet was unable to say a whole lot, but out in the crowd I offered bacon and eggs. What else would a southern woman cook for her man in the morning? ( well, maybe grits too) Loved the reaction, thank you for the memories. Come back to the south soon.

  340. imsopissed74 Says:

Happy Halloween all! Joe, just wait til your son is old enough to trick or treat, it is so much fun. I really didn’t like Halloween as a kid-the dressing up part :) But now that I have my son that is 3 yrs old I enjoy it more cause I get to pick is costume, dress him, and see him so happy to knock on doors. Though this is only the second year he is into it.. his first he was 5 months and the second a year old but didn’t care to go anywhere. The costume was a waste!

Anyway, Joe and fellow NK. I was at Madison Square Garden Monday and I LOVE IT. It was my 3rd Nk concert. One when I was 16 in New Jersey, last September at Nassau and this past one. If there was another one on Long Island or NYC I would go again. I just can’t get enough of you guys. I NEVER want you guys to leave the stage!!!. It never seems enough!!!

It’s funny cause B4 the concert I watched some of your old videos that my friend Erick sent me. Yep, a guy who really likes NK. I have been friends with him for 5 yrs and didn’t know that till I talked to him a few weeks b4 the concert. He moved to Georgia otherwise he would of been my date+)Anyway, I watched the video “This one’s for the Children.” and then that video made me remember I had lost the X-mas CD. Then remembering I lost that CD made me think of the radio that I lost it in, which an ex boyfriend I broke up with gave me. Then I thought of him and how stupid I was to break up with him…..and so on….LOL memories keep flowing from just one song..it is CRAZY!

I look at the crowd and all I can think is WOW how unreal it seems to me that you guys sell out!! I got tickets too late so I was section 310. But cause I was on the side I could still see you guys pretty well without the screens. I took some pics with my cell phone. One of you Joe is the best singing “Stay the same”. Some good one’s of Jordan too.. but the others didn’t come out good and I can’t even tell who it is.. I was just clicking away!!

Okay, I gotta go cause my son is driving me insane!!

    Love ya all,
    Michelle

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO THE NKOTB!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU GUYS

  344. DolceNera Says:

    Dear Joey,
first of all, HAPPY HALLOWEEN to you. I hope that you enjoy this Holiday.

I know exactly how you must have felt while playing at MSG, I bet you had this ” somebody please pinch me ” - feeling. A kind of awareness of the things around you… more than you did before, almost as an outer-body-experience or as if you are standing right next to yourself… to good to be true in some way.
But don’t wish for it again, let it just happen.
Let it go for now and keep the memories dear, then it might open up once more. Sounds funny ? Yeah, but most of the times it is true ! As I have said before: Soak up all the nice moments !!

Oh and Joe, please give my regards to your wife…HER Hubby does an awesome Job !! - Thanks for coming back.

    Love,
    Stefanie

  345. Auderasmom Says:

OMG Atlanta is HOTLANTA once more!!!!! The concert was WAY more then expected and was greatly appreciated! Alas there were 5 WAFFLE HOUSES on my way back to the hotel but none with you in it. I could have used some FACETIME in Atlanta but that is ok I will get mine shortly. Joe on a personal note I don’t know if you do read these blogs are not (I hope you do) because this is a little serious. Your part of the concert was TERRIFIC (I mean the whole music part)but yours fans were treated like CRAP at the Gwinnett Center. I was one of the MANY 4 star VIP ticket holders that had to wait 15 minutes after the doors opened to finally get our tickets after being yelled at by the box office, cursed at, pushed around, and talked down to. I hate to complain but there were ALOT of 4 star ALL ACCESS VIP ticket holders that had to stand in line for over 1 1/2 hours waiting for our tickets and getting continuously yelled at by the box office for being in line waiting (and yes we were adults, no yelling or fussing, just orderly waiting in line). I assume you guys are aware of the price we paid for our tickets (WELL WORTH IT FOR YOU GUYS BTW)but if I were you guys I would have someone contact the center with a nasty gram of not-gratitude. Also after we were seated a lady in a wheel chair had seats behind me and they were asked her why she couldn’t get out of her wheel chair and sit in a regular seat like everyone else and she kept saying because I can’t walk at all. So that is just something I wanted to say. I know you guys wouldn’t be here again without your fans sticking with you and I would hope that you would like to know when your hard working fans (especially shelling out hard money during this time) is driving 5 hrs to see you is getting treated like a piece of crap. WE LOVE YOU GUYS AND AS FOR ME I WOULD DRIVE 5 HRS AGAIN AND SPEND THAT MONEY AGAIN TO SEE YOU BECAUSE I DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS CHANCE TO DIRTY DANCE WITH A GROWN MAN!!!!

And BTW I am driving not only another 5 hrs but add additional 5hrs one way to see you guys in Kansas City MO, this time I will get some FACETIME with a 5 star VIP ticket!!!! Like I said YOUR FANS LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, AND WE WANT TO SEE YOU GUYS PERFORM AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!!

Just hope that maybe you might read this because I really think you don’t want your fans treated that way again.

    Love always and forever,

    Donnie,Jordan,Joey,Danny & Jonathon..

Okay so here it goes…I don’t know if you’ll read this or if anything will come from this but I have to try.

About 3 Sundays ago, early in the morning my younger sister Samantha who’s 22 yrs old got into a severe car accident. She was out with her boyfriend drinking and when it came time to leave the bar she did what everyone should do and she handed the keys over to her sober boyfriend and asked him to drive her car home. He ended up falling asleep at the wheel anyway and they crashed through a telephone pole and flipped. He walked away fine but my sisters side of the car was completly totaled. …and my sister…well she didnt get to walk away that easily. She had to be pulled out of the car by her boyfriend because the car was upside down and leaking gasoline and my sister had horrible trama to her face and wouldve bled to death otherwise- she was rushed to the hospital where she had to undergo emergency plastic surgery on her face to stop the bleeding. She had lacerations from the top of her forhead straight down over the bridge of her nose over the top of her eye and through her eyelid….the surgeon did a wonderful job at fixing it as much as possible but she might have to go back for another surgery on her eyelid. I get so upset talking about this because here is this gorgeous 22 yr old young woman who was trying to be responible and looked what happened? …My point of telling you this…or anyone this is because me & my sister had just bought tickets to see you guys @ MSG oCT 27TH…. for obvious reasons she couldnt go. I’d really like to do something special for my sister and Im hoping this is it…We’ve both loved u guys since we were little kids and I know it’d be a dream come true for her to meet you and see you in concert. Im her big sister and where in normal terms she should be looking up to me…i now find myself looking up to her. Her strength..Her constant smile and positivity…i do catch her crying sometimes but all she says is ” at least im alive…i just dont understand why this happened, i did the right thing didnt i?” …Im supposed to be the one to protect her and if i couldve taken her place i wouldve…but i cant and i look at her now and realize shes my hero. My little sister is my hero. I feel like if i can do this for her…If shes able to meet all of you and go to one of your concerts that it might fix things alittle…Make her smile alittle more and realize good things do happen to good people. Im going to leave this on here and on the community site also…in the hopes someone will read this…ive actually posted this twice and someone keeps removing it…which i dont really know why. Thanks for listening ;)

Theres that hint at the idea that there will be another concert…I like it! Sign me up! I will be first in line for tickets here in Las Vegas, and this time I will go all out! I am talkin meet and greet, and everything! My friends convinced me last time not to do it, and I believed them! Big mistake!

    Keep hinting guys!!!!

(ya know Im a little hurt that no one mentioned the Las vegas concert, none of the 5 of you blogged about it. Maybe we are just use to getting mentioned here, but I thought the concert deserved at least a mention in the blog…come on! And the after party? No one throw an after party like Vegas, and LAX does! Throw us a bone here, guys!)

    Dear Joe!

I discovered recently that you came back. I was watching an interview with Mark Wahlberg. I was very surprised!
It is as if I had come back to my adolescence, I began to remembered those good old days when each new or revised interview on television or clip again, I was there … The funniest thing is that I have so far saved the journals, photographs and comics of the NKOTB.
I’m from Brazil and followed a little of the life of you after 1994. We had more news of Donnie who did this excellent series Band of Brothers and about you and knowing that I was still singing, but nothing came out here, just the Internet that we have a material.

I think hard the return of NKOTB to Brazil, but know that there are fans here too!
I wish much love and peace for all.

    Love!
    Glau

You 5 guys have made my childhood dreams come true! I was at the Oct.27th concert at MSQ. I know how much of a “big deal” it is to play at that venue and how lucky I was to see you there. I never got a chance to see you perform live as a kid, which is something I’ve always regretted. That part of my life, now at 28 years old, feels complete! The show was sooooo inspiring! I was amazed at how you guys could come back after 14 years and still fill Madison Square Garden to the brim with screaming fans. It just goes to show that anything is possible! Thank you so much for the old an new memories! I look forward to see you again!

    With love always,

She still talks about your fuzzy soft green sweater and her picture with you is hanging in their family room! You really made a 14 year olds night…thank you so much! I still wish I could have met you but thats okay, I am just glad she did! We have great pictures from Chicago, great pictures from Detroit and we will soon have great pictures from Uncasville…yes we are driving 12 hours from Columbus, Ohio to see you! Its going to be a great 12 hour road trip on Saturday and a 12 hour return on Sunday to be at work at 6:30 AM on Monday! You guys are totally worth it! Couldn’t have been better! Thanks for all you’ll do! Keep going…next time lets shoot for Charleston, SC.

Hey guys! I loved your MSG show! My hubby brought me for my 31st birthday (which is today!). My first concert was to see you guys at the York Fair in York PA in 88 or 89. Joey, you were my first crush and I still love you. My hubby indulged my crush once when you were on TRL and he was interning at MTV news (before we were married) and he came down to meet you and got your autograph for me.
Hey Donnie-my sister-in-law works with your brother (the one that’s a chef). Don’t know the name of their restaurant, I just know she said they work together and sometimes you go there for dinner with your family.
I just wanted to let you guys know what a great time I had at MSG, even my hubby, who was reluctant at first, enjoyed it

I am so glad you guys have re-united for this tour! My girlfriends and I went to the Sunday show in Boston back in September. Since my parents, back in the day wouldn’t allow me to go to concerts, I couldn’t pass up this opportunity. We made posters, my lime green “I Love Joey” w/ a big read heart on it went way beyond tacky, but SO appropriate. After all, who doesn’t appreciate a nice compliment, right? I was blown away by the show…speachless and w/ misty eyes for the first 10 minutes. Totally star struck, and giddy to say the least. The energy from the audience was amazing, everyone truly wanted to be there…there were smiles ear to ear. My girlfriend sent me a text Thursday (yesterday) morning telling me she got us tickest for the Providence show that night…I was SO excited. The seats were great, and ironically enough I saved the lime green sign (I would have parted with it eventually…a few yaears from now) and off we went. As you guys ran down the isle after performing on the piano, Joey got a glimpse of my sign and blew me a kiss…I almost fell over! Thank you, recognition feels so good. I’m married with 2 small kids, and my children have helped me realize it is the little things in life that mean so much. That simple gesture will be a memory that will last. Thanks for the great shows! xo Lisa, MA
