I just went to the site rememberbetty.org what a beautiful and touching site. Danny - thanks for sharing, I’m sure it wasn’t easy putting the thoughts and emotions of your mother on the site, but I want you to know that it really does help others who are at your age dealing with parents going through an illness and even death. Like you guys, your fans grew up too and we are facing the same or similar issues in our own lives. Again, thank you for sharing your experience and doing something about it.

Hello guys.
I am so buying one of these shirts.
I lost my Mum to Breast Cancer 8 years ago, she was only 52yrs old.
Every day is a struggle bringing up a family without her around, things we take for granted, like having a cuppa tea together and chatting about stuff.. sadly are no more.
Be strong Danny and anyone else who has lost amazing women to this awful diease.
Our women are fighter and I am proud that she was my mother.
(sorry for the wee outburst, I just want to show you want a wonderful cause you have attached yourselves too)
Thank you.

Wow, I went to the web site and sobbed the whole time I read it. That is amazing how you had such a wonderful relationship with your mother Danny. I know what you went through because I also lost my mother to cancer, but like yourself, I see her living in my children also. To know that they continue to watch over us and one day we will be with them again is what keeps us going. God Bless! Hope to meet you guys in San Antonio.

Danny,
Words cannot emphasize the gratitude I have for your help to find the cure of such a tragic disease. I myself, having lost my aunt 2 years ago and now currently having both my mother and other aunt in recovery from it, can’t express the dire need there is to contribute as much funds possible.
Thank you all for your support to a cure and I’ll be sure to purchase a few tanks for myself and family.
With love from NYC,
Elizabeth

Hi guys,
This is such a good cause that you are involved with and i applaud you for it.
I know your mom died of breastcancer Danny and the site you contribute in her name is wonderful, full of love.
I lost my father-in-law in 2005 to pancreatic cancer, there was two weeks from the time he found out, till the time he died *cry* that was very difficult.
My own biological father died of his heart last year.
Very difficult times *cry* i know like no other what it feels like and i feel for everybody that had or has to lose someone to these horrific diseases.
September 24th, 2008 at 9:08 am
What a wonderful thing to do. My aunt is a breast cancer survivor so I will be wearing mine in her honour with pride, as well as to remember those who have passed to the next life..
Danny, your mom, your angel is smiling down at you with so much pride.
As always, much love,

Danny - it’s wonderful that you & the guys are doing something to help support this deadly disease that effects so many women and men in the world! The tribute site to your mother is absolutely beautiful, I was truly touched. As others at your concerts in Toronto; I was moved by the tribute that you have during the concert. I noticed after the concert, many people including myself went and purchased these tanks. I was hoping that you would be putting something up on the site to help promote them. As an advocate, I will be displaying it proudly when I run for a cure on October 5th! You guys ROCKED Toronto! I must say that you exceeded my expectations… X 10, Canada loves ya, welcome back!!
September 24th, 2008 at 9:33 am
I was gonna wait for the concert to buy a shirt but once this is in the store I think I will go ahead and purchase it. I know many survivors of breast cancer and a couple that were not so lucky, so I will own this shirt and wear it with PRIDE! Thanks for supporting causes such as this.

It’s not in the store yet.
Why does it have to be a tank? Why couldn’t they make it a normal tee, I hate tanks but I’d love to have one.
It’s a great idea and I love it though. Turn it into a tee and I’d buy it.

This is amazing ! Thanks guys.
This message got me to cry again.
I just lost my mom on breast cancer last year and I know how important it is to keep looking for a cure.
One of every 9 woman will get breast cancer ….think about it.
Please do examine your breast and don’t wait too long if you feel something , go to the doctor and get it checked.
I will get the shirt for sure.

THANK YOU GUYS FOR SUPPORTING THE CAUSE.
You are truly wonderful.

Awesome guys, for real, awesome! I work in cancer research at the University of MN and progress is being made everyday, but more funding is needed to get there. My family too has been touched by breast cancer. My paternal Grandmother died in her early 40’s and my Mom is a 10 year survivor! I can’t thank you enough for putting this issue in the faces of your fans. Sometimes people have to see how those left behind are effected to understand the devastation cancer has not only on the patient, but the whole family. Thank you again for your efforts. I will be wearing that shirt at the October 21st show if I can get one!

You guys are full of surprises!! What a wonderful thing to do. My family lost a close family friend to breast cancer some years ago. And I totally understand what is like to lose a parent at a young age. Both my parents are gone now. Danny-you are always in my thoughts.

Danny - the “Remember Betty” wedsite is BEAUTIFUL & Soo touching. I decided to look at it on my lunch hour at work & cried sitting at my desk! My Nana passed away in 1995 of cancer. It is a wonderful thing you are doing to promote awareness, continue your Mother’s memory and raise funds for a worthy cause! Thank-you for sharing your personal memories.
September 24th, 2008 at 10:38 am
Hey Guys,
I just wanted to share this with you, I just want to let you know that 1 of my Aunt’s passed away in 1991 of Breast Cancer & she was my Godmother. She was only 37 when she died. I was a little girl back than. I still miss her. So I’m glad you all did this. And decided to have this up for all the FANS. I’m so proud of you guys.
Danny,
I’m just letting you know that I’ll be seeing you in 9 days at the Verizon Center with the boys. Can’t wait. And before I forget, I’ll be here if you ever need me okay. My arms will be free for a huge HUG okay. I’m getting excited by every single minute of it. And can’t stop listening to my CD’s. Looking forward to seeing you next Thursday. Tell the boys HELLO for me.

DANNY MY HEART IS WITH YOU, YOUR MOM IS SENDING TO YOU HER BLESSING
September 24th, 2008 at 10:57 am
Aw, if I had known you would be putting this one online, I would’ve grabbed another one at the concert, and gotten this one now! I was getting this one either way, I just hope you end up putting a few of the others online sometime too.
NOT that I’m trying to take away from you posting this shirt online now! I think it’s a wonderful idea. I happen to LOVE the tank itself, it’s comfy and looks great, regardless of the cause - AND I think it’s a fantastic cause! I’m so proud of you guys for not only accomplishing everything you have, back in the day and again now, for doing what you love, and for bringing it all back to us… but also for being really good guys with amazing hearts, who are willing to DO something important, to stand behind something that’s bigger than you and us fans and.. make a difference.
You’ve always been so inspiring that way, and it’s nice to see some things never change.
I hope everyone buys the shirt and wears it proudly. We support the best band in the world, for an endless list of reasons, and if every fan buys one shirt, maybe it’ll make a difference toward finding that damn cure! Cancer has touched a LOT of us in various ways… thank you for doing what you can to help. And … you help in more ways than you know.
I have no doubt that Betty would be so proud.
Love always,
Meg

Danny and guys…
This means more to me than I can express.
My mother died from breast cancer also, in 1993. I was 15 years old. She spent her last summer (1992) with me in Boston, taking me around to all of your houses. She wanted to meet Donnie so bad, but she never got to do that. But we did spend time with Joe’s dad who treated us so great and even gave us roses from their backyard. It was probably the greatest time she and I ever spent together and I always felt like I owed a thank you to NKOTB for that great summer vacation in Boston. She loved you all so much, and I wish she was here to see the beautiful men you have become all these years later. She would be so proud.
Mom loved you and I love you. All of you.
I’m coming to find you in Chicago, Donnie!! For me and my mom!
September 24th, 2008 at 11:28 am
Dear Guys,
Earlier this year I was asked to be a part of a breast cancer fundraiser. It was called Think Pink for Polly. Local businesses make donations and we held an auction. In just 5 hrs we raised $5000.00 (not bad for a small town in Maine) All the money went for Breast Cancer Research. We also handed out information packets that included step by step directions on how to do a monthly self breast exam. Information is power!!!!
Guys keep up the great job!! I’ll be looking for you at Mohegan Sun 9/30!
And Ladies don’t forget to do your monthly self breast exam!
Its never too early to start.
Much love to the guys,
Jennie

September 24th, 2008 at 11:55 am
This is just wonderful guys! Obviously, cancer can affect anyone, young or old, and in any form. I myself am a childhood survivor (Rhabomyosarcoma) - 27 years free now. Props to Jenna who mentioned she works in cancer research @ The University of MN - I am a participant in those LTFS’s! I also lost my Grandmom in 1993 to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and my husband lost his Gram 3 years ago this December to Leukemia. The more awareness and research, the more advances we make to rid our world of this disease and the many forms of it.
I’ll be purchasing a tank as soon as they’re available!
Much love!
See you in Philly!

I would love to help!!! My aunt died from breast cancer over 10 years ago. It’s a terrible thing cancer and we should all do our part to help out.
BTW, I don’t see the tank in the store either.
September 24th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Danny,
I totally know how you feel. I lost my mom 4 years ago this December. She was only 50 years old and although it wasn’t to Cancer it was another horrible disease. I think it’s so kind of you to be such a huge advocate. My Dad also just battled Prostate cancer in January of this year and even though he was able to win that battle it was very scarry! I will ABSOLUTELY be purchasing one of these tanks as soon as there available……
Thanks so much for sharing your story and for being such a help to those who will benefit from your generosity! Much Love……Mwah!
September 24th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
I have been a supporter of this charity ever since a friend of mine who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer @ 38 beat cancer…she had a double masectomy and is a survivor to this day!!!!! So, I will definitely purchase a tank! My prayers go out to all the women fighting the battle now!
Blessings,
Kimber

My best friend’s mom is a breast cancer survivor-more than once. Growing up with someone that close and seeing the struggle made me take note as young woman. I have since been very aware of the risk factors in my own health and it has always been a fear I take very seriously. I take it even more seriously now that I have two children of my own. I want to thank you Danny for the support you are bringing to the search for a cure. It means so much to me as a woman and also more importantly as a mom. I am sure that you have always made your mother proud. Never more so than now as you are looking after other woman in supporting this fight. I have been a NKOTB fan for more than 20 years but I am even more proud to proclaim that fact now than ever before. Thank you for your kindness and for sharing with the world a beautiful friendship between you and your mother.
September 24th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
I don’t see the tank in the store????? Hope it’s there soon…I have asked the Danny ReVolution gang to check it out and buy a tank if their finances allow!

Danny, it´s so incredible what you do for this and, of course, for your mom.
I hope will be a cure soon for this violent disease. Danny the fans stay with you. Lose a near person or a family it´s terrible.
I can´t buy it now because it isn´t in the store.
A lot of kisses and hugs,

I will definitely be donating since I have a friend that’s suffering from breast cancer right now. I’ll see you and the guys in concert in a couple weeks in Vegas. Besides going to the concert, I will be attending the after party at LAX Nightclub so hopefully I’ll meet you and the guys. God Bless!

Danny, we have all been touched by your mother’s story and most if not all of us have had our lives impacted by breast cancer. My grandmother survived breast cancer in her 80s. She’s no longer with us today but she made it through that before she passed, and her strength is an example to me today and forever. My partner and I recently made a donation to the Stand Up 2 Cancer fund and I will definitely purchase one of these tank tops as well. I look forward to the day that there is a cure, and when that day comes, I will remember Betty and think of you. Thanks for doing this.

Thank you for supporting this cause… my mom is a recent breast cancer survivor, and it means so much that my favorite famous guys are lending their names to fund research for a disease that will surely affect my sisters or me in the future.

So sorryDanny, so sorry to hear about your mother. What a great thing to be doing to honour her memory! I just purchased my tank, and will be wearing it at the concert in Vancouver on November 21st to show my support to you and your family, as well as to all people in the world who have been touched by this disease. I had a scare myself about a year ago. Thankfully for me, it wasn’t anything serious. I am very happy to support this cause.
Chin up Danny, you have an angel watching out for you!

I bought this tank. Thank you guys so much for doing this. My mother is a 5 year survivor of stage IV, but at her oncologist visit last week(she has to go yearly) they found cancer in the skin on her mastectomy site, she goes Friday for a brain scan and next Wednesday for a PET scan. We have no idea what is going on, praying that the cancer is just on the skin and can be taken care of with more radiation…..please keep her in your prayers. We are all very nervous. Hopefully one day there will be a cure for this awful disease. Danny, I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss. She’s watching over you, now….and I know she is so proud of you! Much love, see you guys on October 3rd.
September 24th, 2008 at 3:40 pm

September 24th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
I lost my mom to breast cancer in March 1994, I was 18 years old. During the years when my mom was sick I truly believe that your music and the love I had for the group helped me to get through it all without turning to drugs, drinking and all the negatives that could come from such a tragedy. My mom was a loving, caring person who I miss dearly and its things like this that hopefully one day will raise the money needed to find a cure. GOD BLESS YOU ALL for you’re loving hearts and I can’t wait to meet you in Edmonton to give you that personal hug of “thank-you” xoxox
September 24th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Wow! I will definitely be buying one soon! I have a request though… I’ve got big boobs so I need a 2x. Can you PLEASE ask whoever manages the site if they could add a 2x to the list? I know it would cost more, but I know us bigger gals would appreciate it
Thank you, guys!
September 24th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
I am so excited that you guys are supporting the cure!! It means a lot that you are behind this. My grandmother died as a result of breast cancer and I don’t miss a race for the cure walk!! Thank you for being such wonderful guys! You are truly the best!!!!
September 24th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
I think this is really awsome of you guys. I know cancer can be a scary thing I lost a very dear friend when he was only a young child and never fully recovered. Then I had a scare with cancer myself at 25.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
September 24th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
After visiting ” rememberbetty website and after reading about everyone who has lost someone dear to them from cancer, I have tears running down my face. My mom has been in the hospital for 7 months now, fighting cancer and I only wish that I can keep being brave for her. Image I am 34 years old and have not lost anyone close to me yet and I am scared sh*tless about my mom.
September 24th, 2008 at 5:00 pm
Okay, I admit…I have never logged on to a site like this. But felt like I had to….to say “thank you”. Yesterday I drove into Boston and saw the NKOTB billboard outside of Southie. I have tickets to the concert at the “Garden” this Friday night for my “30″ something birthday. My best friend and I have been planning for months and we are super excited. Been playing the cds like crazy, making my “40″ something year old friends nuts: ) hey, they just don’t understand. Last night I signed papers to refinance my home and the notary mentioned he went to school with one of the Whalberg brothers. Today I had a close uncle go thru tests for cancer. I am very worried about my mom because she is close to her brother. I came on the website to check out updates for the show and went to “remember Betty”. It stopped me in my tracks. Sounds like a cliche. But it is true. I was cooking dinner, TV blaring (Channel 5 of course), 4 dogs barking and I was on the phone…everything just came to a stop when I saw that site. Thank you for reminding me what really matters. It truly hit me hard and I’m gonna call my mom….and I am going to make a donation. I will forward to everyone I know. It is a beautiful site and I am sure she is proud.
September 24th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
This is such a wonderful thing you are doing! That why you guys are so great you care more about your fans & others than you do yourselves! I love you guys & you will always be in my hearts!
Danny: I just saw the page you have for your mother. I am in tears! It really made me cry! I still can’t stop crying! Your mother sounded like a beautiful person & mother! I am going to buy a shirt! Just to honor your mother! Any mother would be proud to have you for a son!
September 24th, 2008 at 5:21 pm
I went to the show at the Izod Center last night in NJ. It was even better than I thought it would be (and I was thinking it was going to be great!). I saw these shirts and think it is such a great idea.
I had so much fun at the show!! My sister got her and I tickets for my Bday in May. THE BEST PRESENT EVER! My favorite part of the show was everything that Donnie did but more specifically….saying it’s “our” party. No one outside of that arrena understands “our” party. They didn’t understand the love then and they don’t understand it now. I’m 31; the love’s not going anywhere.
Thanks for a great night.
ps Donnie: would love a picture of you and I together someday. SEE YOU AT THE BORGATA!
September 24th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
I’m glad that there are efforts like this to fight Breast cancer because I lost my mother to this horrible disease 3 1/2 years ago and I will support this cause by purchasing the shirt in the memory of Danny’s mom,my mom,and many other people who have been touched by this illness.
God Bless,

This is really a great idea!
Danny, I saw the page you have on your web site for your mother and it brought me to tears. I lost my 44 year old cousin to breast cancer almost 2 years ago (in October). I cherish all the memories I have of my cousin because she was a very special person, just like your mother was.
Your mother is definitely your guardian angel! Take care.

I just finished buying the tank top! all cancers suck big time - I lost my uncle to pancreatic cancer, after being diagnosed a mere 4 months earlier.
seeing the above comments, the love & support being shown to Danny, this reunion (of NKOTB) is really a wonderful thing, not only for the music, but being able to raise awareness (and money) for research, etc!
take care … Lisa

I will be purchasing a shirt in Honor of my Aunt who is a 23 year survivor of breast cancer. Please support Susan G Komen foundation, the American Cancer Society, and your local Relay for Life to find a cure for Cancer.

Danny,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother to breast cancer. I lost my mom 5 years ago as of September 5th and I miss her everyday.
My mom was also a little tiny woman like your mom and it was so hard to watch her go through all of the pain that she went through and I hope that one day, others won’t have to watch their loved ones suffer from that awful disease.
You are doing a fantastic thing to honor your mom’s memory–I know she is looking down on you and is proud of you.
Best,
Melissa

OMG! This shirt is PERFECT! I could not think of a present to give to a girl that I work with. She lost her sister to Breast Cancer, she was a huge New Kids fan back in the day. Her fav was Donnie (I think he still is). N E way she has been buying me stuff and I could not think of anything to get her. This shirt is perfect so I will be buying 4. Two for me, and two for her. I know that we will wear them out! (No pun intended)! I unfortunately will not be going to Boston (last min. trip problems BEYOND my control). I will be there for Detroit if I have to walk.
GOD BLESS!
September 24th, 2008 at 7:39 pm

I went to see you guys at Nassau Col. and I can’t wait already to see you at Madison Square Garden!
I knew Danny’s mom died of Cancer, I just never knew what kind. And tonight’s concert hit me real hard during that part cause my mom has breast cancer for the past year.
And girls… if you are first degree (your mother has it) even if you are only in your 20’s you can get special permission to have breast cancer screening early. I had my screening 9 months after my mother was diagnosed at the age of 33. At first the ladies were saying I was too young to get it done but when they got written prescription from the doc and wrote: FIRST DEGREE in big letters on top I got it done. And for FREE! Yep. I have no health insurance but at clinics at certain times of the month or days of the month they have a mobile truck outside. And it is done for free with people with no health insurance as long as you are 40 and older or younger but first degree risk.
I’m trying to get my sis to go but she is too afraid. I tell her she has nothing to fear but not knowing. And… my mother would not be in her 3rd stage had she taken care of herself yearly. Especially knowing that her grandmother also had it and died of it.
Okay, am I writing too much? I really want to comment on the concert but got carried away with what Danny is doing in the honor of his mother.
Is there a cut off for a msg? I guess I’ll see huh?
Well the first time I went to a NK concert i had to travel to NJ from Long Island. And I was basically a blind person cause I would not wear my glasses (like they would see me in them)and it was just b4 I started wearing contacts. So when the girls were screaming when they first came out I couldn’t see a damn thing. Of course I enjoyed it but it wasn’t the same as being able to actually see them. And I had to leave early cause I was only 16 and sure didn’t drive myself. That was July 20, 1990.. LOL it’s crazy that I rem the date HUH?
Tonight I had great seats!! Cause to any concert I go to, no matter who it is, I always buy the best seats no matter the cost. I could actually see..+) but not close enough to touch+(
But I must have been the only one sitting the whole time besides my friend. And I didn’t scream just listened to my ears being blown out!. I will not go crazy unless I am right there like maybe the first 5 rows. But I was getting hot and red..LOL. I do not dance unless I am drunk which is hardly ever. Maybe I’m just alittle too shy.. but I didn’t need to stand up cause we had perfect end seats.
Next month at Madison I have not so good seats like section 300 something. I think I will bring bonoculars! I bought tickets too late.
I didn’t really have a fave part of the concert. The whole thing was Amazing! And having to see with my eyes and not have to look at a screen was Awsome!
Ya know if you tell ppl you like NK you get OMG u like them?? But when I see the stadium so full I’m like “OMG this many pple like them”?
I’m not the rare few?
And can you really pick a favorite? I never had one. I love them all!
My sis met Danny in Montaulk, Long Island and she called me to go meet him with her.. I was stupid cause I didn’t want to call out of work and I didn’t go with her. I could of very easily got out of work. That was about 4-5 years ago. She told me he had alot of tatoos and he sure does. And usually I am not a tatoo girl. For me or a guy. But Danny looks REAL hot with tatoos huh??? As long as he doesn’t get covered.
Okay, well NK if any of you read these blogs. I am so happy you guys are back! And as long as you sing I will always support you. We can be in our 70’s together. And I am so happy you guys have so many girls… I mean women like me who love you!!!!
Next concert on Oct.27th. I am getting drunk (I hope) so I will scream and dance ….and stalk you..LOL..
Love Always, Michelle

Hi Danny,
Just went on the website for your mom and ofcourse me and my sister started to cry because we thought about our mom,our mom was a short lady but with a big heart and that always loved to laugh and we saw our mom pass away too—Our mom was a very wise person she always put us first and put herself second–When you loose a parent at a very young age you try to find out why it happened, because our mom was a very special lady and we also made a website just for her,we will find a cure for cancer,we will find a cure for diabetes,

Guys, that’s such a great way of supporting the good cause!
I’m also one of those who lost a friend of the family to breast cancer; please ladies, don’t forget your check-ups!
Much love,
Claudia
September 25th, 2008 at 2:52 am
That is such a great cause guys. So many women and men also die so unnecessarily from this disease. Yes, I say men. Unfortunately men don’t have the resources to able to keep check of their breasts like women do. Please ensure you keep a check of your breasts, if breast cancer is in your family or not. Breast cancer is not always or necessarily hereditary. I will be getting one of those tank tops for sure. Please email me at krees1@optusnet.com.au.
Lots of love

My maternal grandmother had breast cancer, had a mastectomy and then shortly there after died from bone cancer. I was only 5. My paternal great aunt had a mastectomy also. So it runs on both sides. I will buy the shirt and where it in honor of both of these ladies.
September 25th, 2008 at 7:04 am
My grandma had breat cancer when I was younger. Fortunatly she survived it. She left this world when I was about 16 years old. It was 15 years ago, but I think of her everyday.
What your doing is awesome. If you guys ever want to do a find raiser in the Savannah Area, please let me know. I know quite a few people who would love to help out.
September 25th, 2008 at 7:21 am
My daughter’s pom squad from her school just participated in the Race For The Cure here in Tulsa & I think that not only is it important for us, as adults to understand the importance of this cause but for our children to understand it as well. Our daughters will be grown up before we know it & the more informed they are, the better protected they are!!!!!!
September 25th, 2008 at 7:45 am
What a great thing to do! My mother is a breastcancer survivor, and this is a very good cause, so I will definitely buy the shirt.

Betty Wood, what an amazing woman with an amazing son. I will support this cause 100%. Much love. I just heard Rene Zellweger might have a cancer scare. It could happen to anybody so it’s important to address and not ignore because it’s claimed too many lives.
September 25th, 2008 at 10:18 am
Danny,
What a wonderful thing you’re doing! I have been a nurse for a long time and have seen first hand what can be accomplished when enough people pull together to make a difference. It’s a beautiful thing! Thank you for sharing your mother’s story with us. The song that plays on her website touched my heart! Be strong and always be the man she taught you to be. From the way you describe her I guarantee that you and your children have a special angel named “Betty” watching over you every minute! God Bless!
September 25th, 2008 at 10:39 am
This is a wonderful thing you guys are doing. Just about everyone is affected by cancer in one way or another. I lost my very close friend to breast cancer in December of last yr and I still miss her so. Danny, I am sorry for your loss but at least you are doing this in your mother’s honor…no good deed goes unnoticed. God Bless you, NKOTB, and continue to do great things for others!!!
Love Always, **Tammy**

My mom passed away from breast cancer 3 years ago when I was 19 years old. My sister was only 11. Having gone through all of this, made me a stronger person and big supporter for anything that has to do with breast cancer. I will be buying the shirt to support the fight against breast cancer. Three weeks ago, i was part of a breast cancer awareness golf tournament and we raised 40,000$ for the canadian breast cancer association. Fighting the good fight, so no one else has a lose a love one.
Much Love,
Gabby

THANK YOU for selling this shirt online!! I was at the Friday and Sunday shows in TO, but when I went to buy one on Sunday all the stands were sold out. This is a great thing you are doing and I’m happy to support such a good cause (and at the same time a fabulous band!).

I bought one at your Montreal concert- it was the one thing from your merch stands that really stood out…and I want to say what an awesome idea it is to actually sell this! I’ll be wearing it proudly on the streets of Montreal throughout the year(especially in October), this is one disease that needs to get eliminated NOW.
Thank you, guys for bringing me back 20 years- it’s like time stood still, you guys sounded great, I got giddy and excited seeing you guys. I remembered every single word to your songs, danced like crazy and have had a permanent smile on my face for the past week. I hope you guys realize how much you guys have touched so many lives- even just through entertainment. I really wish I could see you guys again, but I do want to thank you so much for having performed such a dynamic and awesome show! Keep it up…and hopefully we’ll see you again? Don’t forget, Montreal loves you!

love this idea guys! I’ve lost quite a few people in my family from this horrible disease. I love the shirt and hope to pick it up at the concert! Can’t wait to see you guys in St. Louis!

What a wonderful idea and cute shirt!!
Ladies- Don’t just buy the shirt, go to the Komen website and sign up to do the WALK in your area. I did it by myself a couple of years ago and it had to be one of the best experiences in my whole life. I met tons of people, supporters and survivers, who were truly amazing. It’s like nothing else you will ever experience in your lifetime. Serioulsy!!
I didn’t make the entire 60 mile, only 53, because I had severe shin splints. It was horrible but then I saw a woman with a shirt that said “You think 60 Miles is bad, Try Chemotherapy!” I could not complain after that.
My heart goes out to all of you who have had ANY cancer in your life, either yourself or loved ones.
Sign up for the walk! When you feel like you want to do something, but there is nothing you can do…this is it, you feel like you’ve made a difference! It’s amazing!

WOW!!! You all have topped yourselves again! Thank you so much for doing something like this. Cancer is something that unfortunately touches so many people and so many lives all around the world and you showing support makes you even more wonderful (although I was not sure that was possible).
Danny,
I am so sorry for all that you have lost. I (and the rest of your fans) know that your mom would be so proud of you and all you have accomplished. I have never had the chance to meet you(Hopefully one day I will) but you are so great to do something like this.
Thanks again to all five of you for supporting such a great cause!! We Love you!!!
PS My 2 1/2 year old son loves you guys!!! He LOVES to sing “Sumertime”.

What a wonerful thing! Ironically a group of us girls from Waukesha, WI are headed down to the Chicago concert (Oct 4) next weekend which was supposed to be a bachlorette party, but overnight turned into a celebration of life. My best friend Amy (who is the one getting married),was diagnosed with breast cancer in June at the age of 30. 30! Can you believe it! She had both breasts removed and now is in the middle of heavy chemo. With no hair and our NKOTB Cancer tank tops, we will be celebrating life Saturday night in the nose bleeds
Thanks to NKOTB for being part of our youth that we can go back to and remember how things were so much easier when we were younger. You have no idea what type of light you all shine on us. Next week will be a bi- week for Amy’s chemo, so her spirits should be up and she should be feeling strong. We are all so excited to come together to Chicago with Amy and forget about everything at home until Chemo on Monday This is truley a blessing.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom.I know that she was a big part of yous life and you guys were very close.A little lady with a big heart.I was at the remember Betty website and I cried through the whole thing.
She is up there in heaven smiling and oh so proud of you.She is watching over you, your brother and sisters, your dad and her grand babies.
My second cousin died of cancer when he was only in his twenties. He had testicial cancer[ok can’t spell that)when he got diagnosed it was already spread. He didn’t go to doctor till he found blood in his urine and then it was to late.Think of him often and light a candle when we had walk for cancer.
I wish I can come and see you guys when you guys come to Wisconsin,I am laid off so that will be hard,
I will be buying the shirt as soon as I have money for it.
Hang in there Danny.love you

Danny,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I know what it’s like to loose a parent. I too lost a parent in the beginning of the year. My dad died.I know the pain that your feeling. When I read the blog the other night. My heart sank.even though my situation with my dad was different. It made me want to reach out to you and to let you know your not alone grieving.that is the kind of thing we are doing for my dad too. We are going to make a donation and a memorial for him.I know you must spend a lot of time thinking about her and all.But Now you have the guys, the fans and you can keep your self busy. And that is a good thing. My grandmother had cancer but is remission now.I know when she was diagnosed with breast cancer I was shocked. I didn’t know what to say.But from experience life does get easier. And so does the pain. When I can I’m going to make a memorial sight for my dad on the net kinda like the one you did for your mom. And I’ll send the link to you so you and the guys and everyone can view it.One other thing I’ve gotta say is that it’s nice to have the best down to earth boy band back around cause it feels great to blog to someone who understands, respects, and cares about everyone.
Love,
Alicia
PS. I’ll light a memorial candle for your mom when I go to church.

I have been a die hard fan for 20 years and my husband just bought me the KNOTB breast cancer tank to wear to the concert in November. My Aunt Mary was taken by it many years. For the past two plus years my hero, my husband is has survived cancer against all odds. He thinks it is hysterical to witness me acting like a young girl after all this time. Thank you for everything you are to all of us and all that you do. I wil be cheering you on proudly with my new tank.
Love and blessings to all,
Leanne - NKOTB fan forever

Hi!
I would like to help but first of all I need to be sure that non of this money will go to animal experimentation.
Do the foundation sponsor labs that experiment on animals?
I’m 1000% against animal experimentation.
September 28th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
I just got done walking the Breast Cancer 3-day walk where you walk 60 miles over 3 days. This walk was sponsored by Susan G Komen for the Cure.
All money donated to Susan G Komen is then sent out to groups who do the research and education projects. Susan G Komen doesn’t do the research. So to answer your question, dopkay, you would need to contact Susan G Komen to see if any of the research projects they sponsor do animal testing. I do want to encourage you to still give, because not all the money that is donated goes to research. It also goes to education. So, even if you don’t buy the tank-top, giving to the foundation is a great cause.
Susan G Komen has donated BILLIONS of dollars for cancer research and education. Because of this research, my friend–who was diagnosed at 33 last year with Stage 2 breast cancer–is now a survivor. She didn’t have to do 8 rounds of chemo…she only had to do 4. And it is because of this research that she was given a shorter round.
Buy that t-shirt ladies!

This is an awesome thing to do.
Danny, I never met your mother but I remember seeing interviews and things with her and she was an incredibly sweet, caring lady. She would be so proud of you right now.

Will they sell any in XS or S for the petite fans?
September 28th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
Danny,
I lost my mother to cancer when I was 13. The last thing we did together, just the two of us, was go to see you guys in concert. My mom turned into a true New Kids fan that night:) When she passed away a few months later I turned to your music to get me through. I will be honored to purchase and wear this shirt in your mother’s memory as well as my mother’s.
I’ve wanted to share my story with you guys for as long as I can remember because I wanted to be able to thank you all for touching my life at one of the hardest times of my life. And now I want to thank you for the opportunity to share something truly special with my son. He’s 10 and is so excited to see your concert in Denver. He told me he feels like he gets to share something with his Grandma who he wishes more then anything he had been able to meet. So thank you for coming back, you’ll never know just how much it means to your fans!
Always a Blockhead!!

Danny,
I want to express my deepest condolences to both you and your family. I definitely will be purchasing the tshirt in your mom’s honour. Breast Cancer, unfortunately runs in my family as well and I do two of my aunts surviving from it as we speak. Too all of us and our families. May we find that cure.
September 28th, 2008 at 10:02 pm
Danny~ i think is an amazing thing you are doing… if i had the resources i would do the same thing. My step mom had breast cancer and luckily she survived, but it was a struggle the whole time..
you guys rocked the izod center in jersey! CANT wait until u come back to new york!! I will be there cheering u on!
September 28th, 2008 at 10:43 pm
I just bought one of the tanks to wear to the concert on Oct. 3. It’s wonderful that you are donating to such a worthy cause and using your fame to bring awareness to such a devastating disease. My mother had a mastectomy and chemotherapy last year. This concert will not only be my first time seeing you perform, but also a celebration of her continuing recovery due to your support for the cause. Emotions will be running high that night….thank you.
September 28th, 2008 at 11:45 pm
I love what you are doing! That beautiful website, and all the donations to the Susan B. Koman foundation, are the perfect way to honor your mom. I myself am also help the foundation, I started volunteering to honor my aunt, and my dad. He died in a work related accident, not cancer, but was very active in the foundation, and now I try my best to keep that up. I just became a massage therapist, so now I’m trying to get them to let me set up at the race for the cure to help everyone who’s in the race. I hope it works out! I can’t purchase a shirt right now, because I don’t have any money, but I will as soon as I can, because I love the shirt, and I love what it stands for!
Oh, and btw, I’ll be at the concert on oct. 17th so if yall want free massages…
hey… a girl’s gotta try, right?
