So great to finally meet you on Saturday at the preview party! Thank you all so much for doing that for us! It was such a special night. I loved every song I have heard from the new album and I can’t wait to hear the whole thing on Sept. 2. I have been listening to Single non-stop for 3 days, and I can’t wait to hear it all over the radio. This album is going to be unbelievable.

I can only hope you know how much we support you and how much we want to help make this reunion the kind of success you deserve. I’m not sure I can be any more excited than I already am to hear the CD, but you’ve always got a way of amping things up!
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ‘Single’ and will be requesting the living hell out of it everywhere humanly possible. I’ve been ready since you first started asking that in January, and in particular, I’m soooo ready to party. You have no idea.

Can’t say as I am very happy about the Pussycat Dolls being on a NKOTB album, obviously you had your own reasons for inviting them to collaborate with you. Well, I suppose if the majority of fans enjoy the new single, that is all that matters, right? I loved Summertime and it was a great song to kick all this off with. But I am not diggin this new sound you got goin with that guy Neyo. All the digital…stuff.. Not good. If this is what the rest of the album sounds like, I may be forced not to buy it. What’s shaking on your side of town?? I’m finally glad to hear from you. I’m so happy and thrilled that the album is finally finished. Plus I totally can’t wait to get it and than finally listen to it. I’m dying over here. LOL! I already know all the words to No More Games and Face the Music at home. Now I have to sing all the songs to the new album now once I get it. Once I get to the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. I can sing to those songs as well. I totally love the Cover though. It’s awesome looking. It’s already August & I’m down to 3 months now. I have 2 more months to go yet. September and October still. I’m so pumped for this concert in October that I can’t stand it anymore. LOL! I wish it was here already. But right now, I have to stay CALM and PATIENT. It will be here before I know it. I have to mentione this…
I booked a day off work on the 3rd September for a 3 hour dental treatment, but also so I can listen to the album on repeat all day…I may even ask the dentist to play the album to get me through the treatment….i might even convert some more fans!

I loved Summertime, I like to think it´s a kind of tribute to us, your fans from the past.
I loved Click, click, click. Grown up music just like you guys.
And what can I say about Single, I´m overwhelmed, you´ve surpassed all our expectations that, believe me, were already the highest. This is hot and sophisticated.

I LOVE how excited you are. IF I wasn’t already over the freakin’ moon myself, I would have to be now because your excitement is infectious.
My only complaint is you’re such a tease.. the album is finished and you’re so proud and and now we have to wait a month to get it!
May I just say… brat! lol I know there’s other things that need to be done before the album can drop, but you have no idea how anxious we are for it! 
Thank you for “Summertime”. I don’t know if the general public truly understands how special that was between us and you guys. We got it, and we love it and I just think it’s… really sweet that you guys did that, for us. Just another way you all show us how we matter to you. (Hopefully we’re able to return that in some way!!)
That said, “Single”, from what I’ve heard so far, is fantastic and I’m predicting good things for it. I’ll be ’showing’ it off to one of my best friends this weekend.. she’s actually not a blockhead, but I just know she’s gonna love the song and if she will… I know the ‘general public’ will.

I am so happy for you guys and your reunion. I have been a fan for a really long time. I had huge puzzles of you guys on my walls and posters and the “barbie” dolls you had…..I adore all of you.
I am also totally excited that you are coming to Toronto for THREE shows. I really wish I could see you perform, but I just got married a month ago and the funds just aren’t there to buy tickets.

You have already made me proud, Donnie!!! It gave me chills when you said that you wanted to talk music. I wish that I had been able to talk to you about something on Saturday but I wasn’t the only one wanting “face time” :). Maybe, one of these days, I’ll be able to talk to you. A woman can dream :).
“Single” is definitely a gorgeous track!! And I’m looking forward to listening to the new CD over and over on a loop. I really can’t wait for the Akon track (thank you for giving all of us a sneak peek of it in the parking lot ;)!! ). OK, so I really can’t wait till the 2nd when it drops. I CANNNOT WAAAAIT to hear the whole album. Been listening to ‘Single’ over and over again. It is so HOT!
I played it to my colleague today who said she thought it was great. I am trying to convert some die hard sceptics as well as re-introducing you to all the girls I used to go to the concerts with back in the day.
Radio Stations are playing Summertime in the UK but the single hasn’t been released (at least can’t see it on Itunes or anywhere else) - Is it going to be released here? The Album is out on Sept 2nd (all pre-ordered), but no mention of the single.
I can’t wait for you guys to hit London! Be prepared for a lot of ladies offering to buy you drinks! Don’t worry, we’re not trying to get you drunk and take advantage…

Of course, I heard the tidbit of single on people.com!
I definitely did not recognize it is a distinctive NKOTB sound—but then again it is fresh and today! And it shows your versatility as artists! YOU pulled it off beautifully!!! Each of you has your own style and tastes in music as heard in your individual musical endeavors. From Danny’s alternative/acoustic guitar sound, JKs dance/r&b/ballad songs, Joe’s rock/Big band/Sinatra songs and of course your flavor for rap, rock and everything else in between—it must have been tough coming to a musical harmony on songs for the album. It MAKES me all the more excited to hear what else you got! I am ….proud of you guys as you said! (Although, I feel that pride should be felt by those directly involved with your success like friends and family.) Though this particular song isn’t my stilo (old school Bronx lingo), I appreciate the music, the sound, and the talents it took to put it together and create such beautiful music to my ears. As an NKOTB lover, I am biased and I fall in love with almost anythimg you do!

Heard the new single “Single” in full today on CHUMfm here in Toronto TWICE — the DJ couldn’t stop talking about it afterward. She LOVED it — me too! She was sure to put in a big plug for the new CD as well as the 3 tour stops here!
I don’t need to tell you how much Toronto love’s The BLOCK!!!

Hi Donnie, good to hear that your new single is out. I sure will be listening for it. I really enjoyed Summertime. I unfortunately won’t be making of your concerts,I had a baby 15 months ago and all she wants is “Da MaMa”. So i don’t go anywhere any more. That makes my husband a little fusterated to say the least. She is not our only child, between the two of us we have 10. I gave birth to 9, 6 girls and 3 boys. My husband has a little girl. I just found out yesterday that I am going to be a gramma come Febuary. My oldest daughter Rachel is having her first child. At your first time around my daughter was 3 and my other daughter was 18 months. My oldest(a son) was 7.That’s all the kids I had then. I was pregnant at both your Magic Summer Tour which I caught on Aug 3rd 1990 and a concert in December, but I forget the date for that one oops. My friends and I went to meet you at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie Ont, we nearly got killed by your tour buses. It was a scary time lol. We did make it to the concert though. That was the one in Dec. We actually got stuck in the middle of your bus and Jordan and Jon’s.Your buses sure go fast lol. Any way have lots of fun. Love ya bunches. Penny

“Single” is amazing!! I love it!! Though I’ve been a little bit out of the loop for the past couple of weeks and the title had me really confused for a minute there!!
Oh and I just got back from a month-long vacation home to Newfoundland (go ahead and insert your Newfie jokes here!) and everyone I saw, knowing what a diehard fan I am, told me how much they LOVE Summertime! So, just a heads up, you might need to make a quick stop there (among a million other places I know)!
I can’t wait for the album, its going to be amazing!! And the best part will be seeing the five of you give it everything you’ve got on stage in Toronto in September!! Lots of Love!! xo

I will be at my local Wal-Mart to get the CD when it opens on Sept 2nd.;) I will be tearing it open and putting it in the CD player on the car as soon as I check out! First off, I absolutely LOVE “Single”, but I have to admit that “Summertime” is my jam! I have no doubt in my mind that I won’t love the entire album so I cannot wait to get my hot little hands on it.
Secondly, I look so forward to reading your blogs b/c you seem just as excited as your fans. Words cannot describe how giddy I am at the thought of seeing NKOTB perform again. In fact, I have been watching old video tapes for the past 3 days b/c I am so amped to be a part of the New Kids craze all over again! The tapes include every show/commercial/news appearances you guys have been on including: Oprah, MTV, Steampipe Alley, The Today Show, The Mary Alice Show, American Music Awards, Youthquake, Videopolis Startracks & so much more! It brings back so many memories for me.
I am going to 3 shows in September (23rd - Izod, 24th - Nassau & 27th - Borgata). I am hoping to get a chance to meet/talk you guys, but after I had a run in with one of your bodyguards when I was 15; I am a little hesitant! I am a feisty girl so I am not going to let a bodyguard hold me back!

I am so glad u and the guys are back. I am a long time fan. I have missed you all so much throughout the years. My younger sister use to love u the most. Now she is older and has her own life. I am so excited to see u all when you come to Tampa in Nov. My oldest daughter and I will be at your concert then. I wish we could meet and see you all. It is my long life dream for that. I loved you as kid and the new music is HOT! The old stuff changed many lives in so many ways and it was nice to have a group that I could look up to as a kid. It is even better this day and age being a school teacher and having them looking up to you guys now. I watch the kids that come into camp and they hit the door screaming “Miss Amanda, you gotta hear this!” Its a new age and I cant tell you how much hearing the new stuff and seeing my kids faces light up when listening means!

Anyway, THANK YOU for Summertime. All of you guys worked so hard to bring us the music and we embraced it because it is AWESOME! No doubt about it!
Single is a great tune. A lot of us, if not all, have heard the entire version, we think, on YouTube. I do wish you guys had more solos in it, but, maybe we’re just getting a different version. I guess we’ll find out when it hits the air. Hmmmm…time to work on the radio dj’s for THIS song, too.
Now, I may NOT be in the majority here and I am NOT trying to bash you guys or anyone else, but I HAVE got to say it (I know, I know, RG, you don’t have to say anything. Just shut up!-That’s what some of my girls will say!) But, it kills me that the PCD will be on this album. I don’t “get” their talent. And, I LOVE music! I do! I love it almost as much as I love my child. I’m not being bitchy here. I’m just surprised that they were a choice to collaborate with. That said, I will get over it. Hell, I am grown. I will stomp my feet and sulk in private and then suck it up and say “It’s just ONE song. I can skip it on the cd if I want.” But, I am surprised. It’s your music and we’re simply privileged enough to hear it. I’m sure you had your reasons for all this collaboration.
OH, but, please, tell me they, the PCD, will not guest appear on tour! I read that in a few publications and I thought I was going to tear out my hair! If they do…I would be the only one sitting during that performance I am sure.

Thank you for another great update! I haven’t listened to pop/hip hop/r&b etc since the late nineties, so I’ll have to take your word for it that these are some awesome collaborations.
I do hope though that there is more than a couple of songs of just you guys! I also hope I get to hear Danny’s amazing voice on some of these songs!

As thrilled as we are bout the album, questions have come up. I will play the devil’s advocate and ask.
1. Why does the album cover look similar to ones done by NSync & Backstreet Boys?
2. Why so many collaborations? Many fans are concerned that many will not feel you can hold your own. Is this because everyone wanted to work with you?
3. When will the community be back?
That said, Thank you for everything. This ride is amazing and it has only just begun. I can’t wait till the album and the tour seems a world away. Everything has been timed just right just a bit of a tease with an amazing follow through. I don’t think we can say thank you enough. See you in St Louis.

I can’t wait to see you on Sept. 18th! I spent $400 bucks to get the meet and greet passes. With my luck something will go horribly wrong and I wont get to meet you. The nightmares have already started! My co-workers can’t wait for September 2nd. They’re a little annoyed with me because I play The same New Kids songs over and over again everyday. They’re looking forward to some new material. (They’re just too young to appreciate good music.) I can’t wait to hear the new album!!!!! I just wanted to let you know that i was at Krogers (grocery store) the other day picking up a few things and they had a rack with dvds on it. I looked at them and one of them was called Purgatory which was on TNT a few years back and it had a certain someone from this band that stared in it
I remember watching it when it originally came on and thought you did an awesome job. Watched it again and loved it!!! Anyways hope all is well and love summertime

Guys this is so exciting. I’ve had your songs in my head constantly ever since I heard you were coming back. You were about being positive then, and you still are. A friend of mine decided to surprise me by giving me a New Kids on the Block cassette tape. At first I was thinking, is this a coaster or something? Ahhh….I have been on a New Kids On The Block overload up her in Kiss Nation. I so love it. However I was listening to Single since Wednesday and I just was not sure about it. But today as I was listening to it I noticed really what the song was saying…for thoes 3 minuets you can be my boyfriend…but if Jonathan would step up to the mike I’d have the radio on repeat all night long.

Back in the day I was a huge fan of yours and NKOTB. As I got older, my musical tastes changed. I became a diehard country music fan. It’s all I listen to right now. When I heard you guys were coming out with a new album, I figured I’d give it a listen for old times sake. I have to say, I absolutely fell in love with “Summertime”. I’m SO ready for this album, and tour and MOSTLY just having your presence back in my life again. And honestly, I LOVE the new songs and am SO glad you guys are giving us new music!!!!!!!!!! It just wouldn’t have been the same if it was just a nostalgia tour. When you guys left, noone was ready for it (besides you guys..lol and the non believers of course) but I wanted new music THEN..so I’m SO ready!!!!!!!

Thought I’d put the bug in your ear since you’re such a ham. It has been years since the Lynn Goldsmith book, and with all the changes and such that you’ve all been through in career, looks and even points of view on life…do you foresee another book like that coming out? I love that book so much and have even gotten a chance to have one of you sign it…hoping to get the rest of you to sign it somehow. But it was such an awesome thing that you guys did for the fans, it’d be nice to have another one similar to that.

Donnie, Just wanted to let you know you guys don’t need anyone on the album except the five of you for it to be the best. For the ones of us who were teenagers back then, trust me it is like a dream come true for yall to come back now in our 30’s. My sister’s and I saw yall on March 10, 1991 in Shreveport, LA and will never forget it. You can only imagine how excited we are at the chance to see you guys live again. Plan on trying to make the Dallas show on October 18th and it can’t get here soon enough.

Donnie, I just pre-ordered the deluxe version of “The Block” at iTunes and I’ve dug out all my New Kids CDs to tide me over until Sept. 2 gets here. Cannot wait for the new album, the tour, and everything else - New Kids are back and kicking ass with a vengeance!! I’ve only seen you in concert once, back on the Face the Music tour in ‘94, so this will be my first time seeing all 5 of you together - I don’t know if I can handle the excitement!! See you in Detroit - Oct. 25!!!!

I will try this again. I am from Pittsburgh, PA and again when Donnie was in town for the filming of “kill point” he was supposed to come into Primanti Bros., needless to say he never made it in. Our establishment did a lot to help out for that series. I wanted to meet Donnie and just have him sign the tour jacket and I was told that he was not happy to be associated with the New Kids anymore !! True? I wonder….Does $$$$$$ talk?

It was sooo much fun, I took so many pictures, I just want to say that I love you guys sooo much especially Donnie, so cool and down earth, he was hugging everyone and really involved with all the girls…and that made me just fall in love with him all over again. I cant wait till the Oct 8th concert. Donnie, I was the girl that was crying and you held my hand forever and when they told me to move on, you told them “Give me a minute, I’m holding her hand!”, that’s the famous line that I will always rememeber! I listened to the digital clips of the tracks on the album—really smooth, hot stuff…I think it’s great–all of the songs are. One of those rare albums where you can actually enjoy the entire playlist. Very cool. Of course, smart choices in the folks you guys decided to work with on the songs, along with that it seems there was a real understanding of what it was you wanted to accomplish and say with this release. Dance-y, catchy, interesting, hip, smooth, and I appreciate that there’s at least one slow song, Jordan needs at least one to bring it down. I LOVE some of that voice, of course, you’re all good though, it goes w/o saying. Impressive, it just all seems to fit together well. Great stuff.
