Just wanted to check in with everyone. I also wanted to thank all the people who showed up at The Mall of America performance on August 8th. Once again it is a day I will never forget. One of the many days in this journey that continue to surprise me and leave me in shock.
We started the day flying on a private jet, a Citation X, which is the fasted non-military jet in the world. This was more than special for me because my company, Halcyon Jets, provided the plane. It was such an amazing ride, and lots of laughs on the plane.
Gary Arnold from Best Buy was there to greet us when we got to the mall. We would like to thank Gary for making the whole event possible and so special. All the people we met before we hit the stage were great.
Then we performed and the crowd was awesome. You guys continue to amaze me. Your support means everything. We got to do “Single” which we are all excited about. Then we got to meet some of you, which was the best part of the event. Everyone keeps thanking us, but honestly, you deserve the thanks. Without the fans none of this is possible.
Then we got back on the jet to L.A., more rehearsing for tour preparation. What an amazing time. The new memories keep growing. Until next time……….
Danny
P.S. Donnie’s account of my reaction to the earthquake is 100% accurate. I am used to hurricanes not earthquakes.

Danny it is so nice to hear from you. I was just going to ask you to post more often. You have always been my favorite. It’s funny to see how I still get as excited and giddy about you guys as I did 19 years ago. I’m looking forward to seeing you at Mandalay Bay. I will deffenitely be looking for you. I do not live in Las Vegas but am hoping I will have a better chance of running in to you there, since I’m sure you guys will be out and about there.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
It is nice to hear a man that can admit that he was scared. I probably would have ran outside like Donnie did his first time…lol I can’t wait till you start the tour. Click Click Click has to be your next single, my co-worker who is a non-fan LOVES the song.
I am rocking “Single” on the Ipod and it has been on repeat on my computer all day long! Private jet…must be nice to live the high life. I’m teasing I am happy to hear that your company is supporting you and the guys!!!
August 12th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Awww Danny thanks for posting. We love you guys and we love the new music and seeing you guys in person and meeting you, makes the best thank you gift in the world. I cannot wait to see you guys on this tour, especially in Houston.
XOXO
Martina
PS I feel you. I live in Houston, TX so hurricanes are our big problem too and a hurricane is def less exciting than an earthquake!

I love reading these blogs! I wish I could’ve been at the Mall of America but I will hopefully be seeing you guys in Charlotte! And I can’t WAIT to hear the new tunes!!!

August 12th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
Danny!! Thanks for the blog. I was at the Mall of America and it will be a day I will never forget! You guys were amazing… and being able to meet all of you for just a few minutes was icing on the cake! I am so pumped for this tour to start — and hopefully there will be more time for hugs at the 5* VIP meet/greets because I want one! I’ll see you in November in Omaha… and St. Louis, and KC, too!
Much love and thanks!

All you got to do is come on down to the south and you will meet a whole new group of ‘energized’ fans
Thanks for keeping us posted.
Believe me, earthquakes are nothing like hurricanes or tornados. I would much prefer a earthquake over the two! Glad you got to see a big part of what makes California, California. Hahaha, even if it did scare you.
August 12th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
Izod, MSG, Nokia…hope to see you!!

Hi Danny,
Thanks for the update. I wish I could have made the trip to Minnesota. I was counting on ya’ll doing something special here in Texas, but from the looks of it, I will have to wait until October to meet you guys.
I with you Danny….I’m used to hurricanes…you can prepare for those…but the ground shaking…..don’t think I would be cool with that.
Anyway, can’t wait to meet you guys in October in Houston, San Antonio, New Orleans, and Dallas!
Much Love,
Amanda

Hi Danny,
So great to hear from you.
Seeing the clips of you guys at the MOA was awesome….and the only thing better than that would be you visiting the UK. The UK loves you guys. Also thanks for adding me as a friend on Myspace and I hope you check your messages!!

Hey Danny!
I wish I could have seen the MOA performance first hand…I have checked out snippets on YouTube…thank goodness for people and the cams.
The hurricane thing freaks me out…I would do better in an earthquake…although, I have never been in a bad one. Hopefully that continues.
I am so glad you guys are doing this. I have been jammin’ to Single and am totally diggin’ it! Thanks! Of course…it is sort of an anthem to me since I am single again.
Thanks for the memories,

Mall of America was soooo much fun… How can I make make it through 2 more concerts? It may be too much to handle.
You all are the sweetest men around, and we so appreciate how you make us feel wanted and valued. Thanks guys!
August 12th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Give me a hurricane anyday. I can prepare for those. Awesome to hear from you Danny:) This ride gets better everyday!
August 12th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
I am not used either one! MOA was amazing and I loved that I got a hug from each of you!!!
August 12th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Hi Danny!!
Good to read a blog from you!! And hear about MoA from your perspective. It sounds like it was a GREAT time!!
I’m sorry but I can’t help but laugh at you confirming Donnie’s earthquake story. I’ve lived in Cali all my life and i’m nowhere near used to them but the mental picture of you hauling ass to a doorway is too funny! Sorry…please don’t hate me…lol ;).
Take care and hope to see you soon!!!

Danny, thanks for the blog! I love hearing from you guys, and you’re spoiling us with three blogs in one week - and it’s only Tuesday!
I write on your Facebook page all the time. Don’t know if you read it, but I like to drop in and say hi anyway. I appreciate that you have Facebook since I am one of the few people on earth (under 30 anyway) who doesn’t have MySpace.
Can’t wait to see you guys at the Today Show on 9/1, and I REALLY can’t wait to see what you have in store for us on tour. It just keeps getting better and better. How can we not say thank you for doing this? It’s been incredible!
Love,
Katie

August 12th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
Since you keep thanking us I want to say You are welcome!
We love you, Danny. And like I posted on the Earthquake blog from Donnie…
You need to come HOME and show some love to all us Florida fans! A little wind and rain compared to a ground shattering earthquake? Please, no contest
August 12th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
I wish I could have been there with you all at Mall of America! I know you guys were awesome, ’cause some of my friends told me all about it…(Thanks Tytanya, Vanilla, Sweetleaf, and Lala!)
Can’t wait to see you all in Dallas!
Oh, and I promise if I’d been there during the earthquake, you would not have been alone in that doorway! I’m used to tornadoes, not earthquakes!

Thanks for keeping us updated! That jet sounds amazing, congratulations to you and Halcyon!
Wish I’d been able to be at Mall of America, but the accounts of the day have been incredible! I’m so happy you had as much fun as the fans did!
For the record, you can thank us all you want, but don’t expect us to stop thanking YOU. You say it wouldn’t be possible without the fans, but if you all hadn’t decided to get back on board… we all would’ve just been left with our memories and wishful thinking! You guys deserve SO much thanks, not only for coming BACK to us, but for ever doing this in the first place and just for being who you are. You all mean so much to us, more than silly, sappy words here can express properly.
So, whether you think you deserve it or not… THANK YOU!
Looking forward to making more memories, together, in Toronto next month!!
Much love,
Meg
aka Essentia
P.S. I think I would’ve reacted to the earthquake the same way and I can’t even imagine how I’d react to a hurricane!

Hi Danny,
Thanks for taking the time to post a message. It was amazing seeing you guys in concert!! It was such an honor to meet you guys also. I admit I was really shy and didn’t know exactly what to say. I’m sure a lot of fans were the same way. It was a little intimidating meeting you guys, not because of you guys, but because I’m such a huge fan, it’s amazing that I even got this opportunity. You guys are looking and sounding better than ever, and all your fans really appreciate everything you do. I look forward to seeing you in Chicago and Minneapolis. I LOVE your new song. Was that your new cd they were playing during the signing? It was great!

Danny! Thanks so much for the update - it’s so good to hear you guys are enjoying this as much as we are! And about the earthquake thing, no worries, as a Californian I probably wouldn’t know how to deal with a hurricane, so I guess we’re even

I hope your rehearsals go well and I’m hoping I get to see some of that choreography in person in L.A. on the 28th…oh, how I wish I could get one of your jets to come pick me up in San Francisco

Hello Danny,
You are so very sweet - always there with a thank you — but it really is us who should be thanking all of you! This whole reunion has been such incredible fun — and the best is still ahead of all of us!
Can’t wait til September 18th — I just know that it will be an evening full of memories! Can’t wait.
Can’t promise you the excitement of an earthquake here in T.O — the ones we have here are very minor - often un-noticed… But you can bet the Toronto audience(s) will have the house a rockin at the ACC — you might just wish for that earthquake after the welcome you are going to get here!
lot’s of love…

Danny Wood! Thank you for the blog! Sounds like this is going to be a great ride for all of us! We know that without us fans you wouldn’t be where you are, but if you weren’t willing to share who all of you are as artists, we wouldn’t have you to support…let us thank you:) We know that you love us because you are doing so much…a world tour, a new album, meeting a million of us, and doing it all with a smile and grace!!!!
I won’t be able to help myself in Charlotte…I have to thank you! You and the rest of the Block have been a part of my life since 1988, and I will be grateful to all of you for giving my world music, positivity, and dance!!!! The music makes me smile and dance, and you can’t beat that! The new song, Single, is fab-u-lous! I love it! I get my groove on everytime I hear it:) So, I thank you and know that you appreciate me and all the other blockheads! We are having such a great time with you all back together….
Charlotte is officially less than 3 months away, and I can NOT wait! I’m more than excited…I can’t put it into words!!!!!!! I just hope that I don’t freeze when I finally get to meet you and the rest of the gang face 2 face…I’m meeting fellow humans, but I have been dreaming about this moment since I was 10, so I want it to be close to perfect if that’s possible…maybe I should plan out what to say:) Hey, I’m a teacher after all…haha! Nah! I’m going to go with the moment even if I just hug all of you and smile:)
Have fun (is that the right word?) @ rehearsals, and I can’t wait to experience the show with you, the rest of the Block, and all the blockheads, new & old:) Much love to you….
Take care,
Kimberly

You guys are totally spoiling us with all of these blogs! We can’t get enough…
My TCBlockheads girls (did you read the paper?) and I were at MOA in the front, and we all agree - “Single” was WICKED HOT!!! Those moves were fierce! Thanks so much for bringing your talent to Minnesota!
Meeting you guys in person was such a trip. I mean, when you’ve got about 5 seconds, what do you say to someone you’ve wanted to meet for 15 years? I’m sure what we’d all like to do is pour our hearts out and let you get to know how this reunion has affected our everyday lives… but I guess you have to settle for a shaky-voiced “that was awesome… thanks so much” and know that there’s oh so much we’re thinking and feeling that we just can’t communicate in 5 seconds!
Thanks again you guys; you continue to surprise us!
See you guys in Chicago!

Dear NKOTB (and especially Danny)- The Mall of America concert was amazing. You guys definitely brought us back to the old days…..even though we were some of the youngest ladies there. When we see you in October you better sing our theme song “Cover Girl!” Our pink shirts and Red Bull (For Donnie) will be ready for you on October 21st! Thanks for the autographs, hugs, and kisses! We really appreciated you hanging around. Until October…..Much Love—Your MOA Cover Girls in Pink. Krissy (boni0044@gmail.com) & Jenny (levi0176@gmail.com)

I am always a bit worried that you guys work too much with all the rehearsals and appearances. But then I find the videos on youtube and you are all obviously enjoying this so much. It makes me happy just to watch you having fun.

Aww Danny! It’s ok about the earthquake. I’d probably react the same way!
I am used to Hurricanes too. LOL Thanks for checking in!
August 12th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Danny, you made me smile!! Meeting you guys at Mall of America was the best day of my life. By the way, I almost skipped you that day, because of security. But you leaned over in your chair and saw me before leaving the stage. Thanks for that! :] Also, THANK YOU for singing “Tonight”!!
August 12th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
Hi Danny,
Okay, I guess when I see you I will not say thank you lol. If I do, you can cover my mouth with your hand, and tell me to hush. It is good hearing from you, and knowing that you guys are having a blast. When you’re a blockhead you’re a blockhead, and there is no stopping you. Well, not for the true ones at least. We are still all over the world, and are not afraid to admit it. I really wish that I could have been at the MOA to cheer you on as well.
I have missed out on so many things back in the day, I am going to try my hardest to enjoy every moment that I get this time around. I was just too young back then, and birthday money was the only time that I could get something new. On that note I am going to go for now. Will be seeing you and the guys Sept 26th and Oct 25th.
Take care, God Bless!
August 12th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
Thanks for the update. What a different experience it is this time around being a fan, with all the technology, it’s fantastic! And your right, the fans do deserve a little pat on the back, as we all support you, but of course if you weren’t any good we wouldn’t support you… so it comes full circle!!! Good luck with your final month and a half of tour preparation!

Hi Danny!
But I will be in KC on November 11!!!! Save a dance for me, ok?
I’m so happy that the MOA event was such a huge success! I would have loved to have been there, but I couldn’t go.
I was so relieved to hear you guys were ok after that earthquake. Living in the midwest, tornadoes and floods are what happen the most around here. I would have been in that doorway with you hanging on for dear life!!
(nice mental image, there…except for the whole life and death situation. lol)
Thanks for posting your blog! I love reading them! And..since you are thanking us, let me say you are welcome. But it is absolutely my pleasure. I never stopped being fans of NKOTB (especially yours) and I even carried my fan club membership card in my wallet for all those years. *blush*. So handsome, take care and I’ll see you sometime in the near future.
Always,
Kaprelle

Glad to hear you are having a good time because we are having a good time right along with you. Sounds like you had fun on that jet and are proud to work for that company too. It’s great to hear.
No worries on the reaction to an earthquake. I’d have done the same thing or freaked out even more. I’m perfectly happy only dealing with the winter natural disasters that are Nor’Easters, thank you very much.
August 12th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
It was nice to meet you last Friday. I enjoyed the performance (from the front row!). Hopefully next time you’re in Minnesota, you’ll spend more than just a few hours here:)

Funny to hear you’re guys takes on Hurricanes vs Earthquakes I woulds take none of those. Of course I in midwest we either get tons of snow or tornadoes. I’d be like you though doorway or something like that and be freakin out too.
Thanks for the updates as you we fans love to hear anything and everything.
See guys on tour in the fall.

It was great to hear from you. I’m glad you’re loving every experience that you guys are having. Seeing all of you having so much fun makes it even more fun for the fans. I hope that you continue to have positive experiences through your whole tour. I’ll see you in Chicago and I will probably say “thank you”!

The MOA was AMAZING! It was a dream come true to get to finally meet you Danny! I meant everything I said about your solo music being amazing. I really hope you tour on your own after the reunion tour.
The song you sang for your Mom is my favorite. She was a very sweet and gracious woman. I am sure she is so proud of you!

About 8 months after we moved to the Portland, OR area from the Houston, TX area, we had an earthquake. It hit Olympia, WA and we felt it pretty good here. I was sick and in bed, and it freaked me out because I thought someone was shaking the bed - and there shouldn’t be anyone else in the house but me. It took me a few moments to realize it might be an earthquake and that I need to turn on the news. Since then we’ve had minor ones, nothing too big.
None of it scares me as much as tornadoes. I saw some pretty big ones growing up on Texas’ Gulf Coast, and I’m certainly glad they never touched down. Had they done so, Santa Fe and Hitchcock probably would’ve been wiped off the map.
August 12th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Hi Danny,
but I am counting down the days until I see you guys @ the STAPLES Center.
I wish I was able to see the show at Mall of America…
However, living in LA…I didn’t have a chance
Hope your rehersals are going well…and maybe I’ll see you in the LA area sometime…? yay*

Hello Danny,
What a pleasant suprise to see you?? I was missing you because we haven’t heard from you in so long. I’m glad everything is well with you. I can handle Hurricane’s myself but just the tropical one’s not the actually Hurricane’s. LOL! I’ve been through a Tropical storm already. And basically everything was a mess. I pray everyday for no Hurricane’s or Tropical storms. I don’t want them coming my way period. I can only handle RAIN from storms like that. LOL! Anyhow, I have the New Kids On The Block (The Greatest Hits) Videos now. I can’t wait to get the actually Album from you guys. (The Block) Just now down to 6 weeks until I see you, Joey, Jordan, Jon and Donnie. It’s been so so long. This concert is gonna rock on October 2nd at the Verizon Center. That’s for sure. I wish I could make you guys a banner but I’m not risking my chance and having it toss. I’ll just glad & happy with a T-shirt, Keychain, poster or anything at that concert when I go. I can’t wait to tell my girlfriend’s at work about this concert. 2 of them I knew that I’m close to know I’m excited and can’t stand it. Which is all good. Plus I’m always bragging to them about this concert. The 1 girlfriend totally knows I’m a huge NKOTB fan. She sends me updates on you all. Whenever she can. She’s so sweet! Anyhow, I’ll just end this chat with you. And will talk to you soon okay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m used to hurricanes too, Danny. I think if the ground started moving under my feet, I’d panic, run, cry, and scream!
August 12th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
I wish I could of been in Minneapolis last week. I saw you’ll be signing autographs in 2 weeks in L.A. I live in Vegas and I’m going to L.A. this weekend. I wish I could go, but I have to work. See you in October!
August 12th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
Danny, wow, you own an airplane company. I guess you invested your money from back in the day very well. I am glad the fans are continuing to amaze all of you, because with each new venue you travel to we will amaze you more and more. Trust me I am not used to the earthquakes either, but on rare occasions they do happen here. Can’t wait to see you all in NOVEMBER…go shopping in the great Northwest.
August 12th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Hey Danny,
Thanks for keeping us posted. I have not had to encouter earthquakes or hurricanes, just really cold weather. Winnipeg aka known as Winterpeg is pretty tame other than the cold.
I can’t wait to see you in October.
p.s Come back to Winnipeg..

Last Friday at the MOA is a day that I will never forget. We were awake for 40+ hours but it was so worth it! To have the chance to meet you and the other guys after 20 years was amazing… even if all I could do was say “your shirt rocks” by the time I got down the line to you!!! Can’t wait to see you again this fall!
Heather
P.S. There is just something wrong with the ground moving under your feet. I would have been running, too!
August 12th, 2008 at 5:23 pm
Awww Danny that is okay with us.
August 12th, 2008 at 5:24 pm
Danny!
How are ya, hon? So, I was at the MOA thing last week, and you guys were amazing! We keep thanking you because we feel the love you guys are giving right back! Shall we just call it a mutual “Thanks”?
I can’t wait for the tour/ album/ the whole thing. If the way you guys looked and sounded last Friday is any indication, we are in for quite a ride! I, for one, can’t wait!
Single is a fantastic song BTW- bought mine today!!
Take care and mad love coming at you,

August 12th, 2008 at 5:35 pm
Hello Danny!
What an honor to shake your hand last friday at the Mall of America. I must admit, after meeting you I did shed a tear. Meeting all of you brought me back to my childhood which was such a great part of my life. The last few months have been tough for me due to a divorce(sorry, to much info) but seeing and meeting you guys took me away from all of that, I want to thank you for that. I really wish I could have said something other than “you’re my favorite” but I was sooo nervous that was all I could say. All of you were so sincere and appreciative. I cannot wait to see you guys in concert. Good luck with rehearsals and the tour. I’ll be seeing you in Seattle with my sisters in November.
Much Love,
Colleen

It sounds like you are taking in every moment of this newer experience.
Everything you are describing sounds like so much fun! I’m so glad you’re

from the earthquake…although i couldnt help but laugh when Donnie described
your “get away”
Thanks for the update!!

DWood — You are so right. The MOA show was on point! The MN fans came out in full force and I know a lot of people who came from out of town too — Toronto, Iowa, Chicago, Florida, and all over the place. You know how to pull in a fiesty crowd, damn! My girls and I had a blast chillin’ in front row and representing MN fans with pride! “Single” was definitely the highlight for me. Sooooo sexy, I can’t get over it. Shaking your hand and meeting you for the first time was also a really wonderful moment. I can’t wait to see you guys again! Great job at MOA! Hugs, Katie in MN.

Hi Danny!!
Thanks so much for COMING to the MOA!! I was there, and it was awesome to have a chance to meet you guys! Totally worth all the waiting and lack of sleep, LOL! I have to apologize, though. I did not get to thank ANY of you like I had planned, as I was a bit starstruck and being rushed, LOL! I understand, though. The turnout was GINORMOUS! Anyway, I got to hug Jonathan (something I have not STOPPED thinking about since Friday!), and was pushed past Donnie without being able to talk to him, and by the time I got to you, I was still in shock over my Jonathan hug! I have to say that you looked great that day, and next time I will SPEAK to you, LOL! Thanks again! You guys ROCK!
(BTW, the show was great, and it was an HONOR to be there!)

Thank You Danny !!!! You didn’t have to come over and take a pic with me after yelling so much, but you did and for that I am forever grateful. Kellogg and Legs will see ya in Detroit!
The MOA show was off the hook !! Just had to say that throughout the day and even after the event Best Buy suits keep asking if things were going ok, was everything what we had expected, was it worth the 9 hr drive for us Michigan girls.
Not only once but twice and by more than 1 person from Best Buy. They were really interested in feed back from us, and if anything didn’t meet our expectations. I do remember speaking to Gary. Something you don’t see too much of anymore, going out seeking the customer, asking questions, getting feedback and taking suggestions on the spot. It was important for me to say that having this event in the Midwest means so much to us. Everything happens in NY or LA, not in the midwest. This gave us a chance to be included in the reunion, before the tour. I thanked them for making it possible in bringing you guys to closer to us!
Both Best Buy and the MOA staff did a great job of making sure we were taken care of. We were able to get up and leave without a time limit to stretch our legs, go eat, and do a little shopping. The security was tight but most of the officers were very friendly. The only thing, only complaint was that it was so freaking HOT !!!!!!
Thanks again for coming, singing, dancing, signing and spending time with us, see ya again soon…it’s on in Detroit!!!!

Danny!
Thank you for checking in! It sounds like that plane flight was awesome, and I heard lots of good things about your MOA performance and the meet and greet afterward! *I’ll remember to say PLEASE!* I wish you were doing something similar in Seattle before the concerts. All the other meet and greet locations are just too far for me to travel.
I got my concert tickets for the Sept 28th Boston show today AND the t-shirt I made especially for you. Can’t wait to see your expression when you see it. I should have the tickets for the Sept 26th Boston show tomorrow if my financial aid check comes in. Keep your fingers crossed!
I know you think you’re more thankful to your fans for our response, but our response is only as good as the friendship we see evident in you guys, the transparency you show us in your actions since April, and your incredible music. Thank you for coming back at a time in my life when I really needed music and memories.
I’ll see you in September — Boston Garden!
And, I hope to hear you singing some lead vocals!
As always, you are welcome in the Danny chat! It’s usually just six or seven of us in there in the evenings, so please if you have the time, come join us! Or, if you already have been there, please come again!
Love always,

I am a bit late posting this because I went to a baseball game (minor league baseball is one of my other obsessions). My team lost BTW!
Someone asked me the other day if you guys were going to be driving around on buses for your tour. I laughed and I said, “Probably not…Danny Wood is an executive for a jet company I kinda doubt they will be tooling around in tour busses!” Danny you should be so proud of what you have done with your life. So many “child stars” find themselves in bad places after the spotlight fades…not you (or any of the other guys). BROVO!!!
Have a good evening…Dan!
See you in a few weeks in NYC!

Dear Danny,
I have not been at a Concert or any kind of Performance yet, but I plan to go 100% ! Please check the message I’ve left in Donnie’s Earthquake Message - it’s for all of you guys - the Nickname is DolceNera …duh.
The last time I have been at one of your concerts was in ‘89, I was 13 or so, my parents brought me to the Concerthall because the whole city was pure chaos. Now I am 30, and hey…it’s all coming back !! Because your Music and the Comeback brings so many Memories back to life again:
How I drove my Mom sheer up the wall with only listening to your songs 24/7 ( play-rewind, play-rewind, play-rewind,… ), how all 4 walls of my Room were covered with NKOTB-Posters, when I wrote and drew a wallpaper - size Letter to you guys ( took me a heck of a time to get that done ), the skating arena downtown which played your songs only in FULLBLAST and then just hanging out in the streets with my friends…oh, and so much more.
AND FOR THIS I NEED TO THANK YOU !!!

I know that you hear this all of the time, but we really do thank you guys so much for doing all of this again. It means so much more than I could ever begin to say.

You guys really are all awesome, taking time out of your busy, busy schedule to keep us all in the loop, and showing that you love all of us as much as we love you. Reaffirms that all of our good wishes for you 5 aren’t misplaced! As long as you keep doing what you do for the love of it, we’ll be there to support (and fawn over you) every step of the way! See you in October!

Hi Danny,
Thanks for these blogs and sharing your experiences with us, it makes us feel a little bit closer to you guys, gives us a little insight as to how you are experiencing this whole thing! It also just brightens my day, nothing is greater than getting a blog from one of you guys…well maybe talking to you in person would top it but this is the next best thing.
I am getting very, very anxious for the concerts and to meet you!!! I hear so many great stories from friends who have already met you. I can’t wait till its my turn. Soon I will get to see you guys in concert….. actually only 52 days, 8 hours and 57 minutes away, lol!! Not that I am counting or anything
As a fan I can’t help but be thankful for this reunion, it brings back so many good memories for me as a teen but even more importantly, it is bringing new experiences way better than last time. You guys look hotter, sound hotter and well this time we are all adults, lol!! So I must say once again, from the bottom of my heart….Thank you Danny!! Btw….it’s nice to know that you are just as thankful for all of us fans as well, makes everything even more special.
Love ya,
Jenn

Hey Danny, thanks for the sweet blog and thank you for making us all feel like we are in your every day lives. I know you say we shouldn’t be thanking you, but that is just not possible to do. There is nobody else in the world that can make me feel like a teenager again and this giddy. I have to thank you guys!!!!
Anyway, I just had to chuckle and go awwww when I read your confirmation of Donnie’s report about the earthquake. If you are here in California for any length of time, you will get used to them!

August 13th, 2008 at 7:40 am
Danny-
Thank you for keeping us in the loop. I love to hear about what you guys are doing.
This whole experience has been like talking with an old friend. Eventhough many years have passed, the connection is still so strong.
Love you guys

I, too, would like to say thank you to you guys for coming back. When you guys were around before my mom wouldn’t let me go to concerts so seeing you guys at the MOA was my first time, and man were you guys amazing! To top it off, you were all so nice in the autograph line, although I was too shy to say anything to you guys! I can’t wait for October 21st when you are back, remember to pack you warm clothes! Hopefully I will be able to make atleast one more concert as well.

Danny~
The Concert at MOA was fantastic and totally worth standing in line for 15hrs …let alone waiting 20 years to see you for the first time!!
I know “The Block” is going to be fantastic and better than ever!! You guys sounded fantastic and being able to meet each of you after the show was a dream 20 years in the making come true!!
Can’t wait to see you again in Minneapolis and Chicago!!
PS …I woulda been right there with you in that doorway …growing up in the midwest I’m used to Tornadoes =P
August 13th, 2008 at 8:10 am
Hi Danny!
I completely agree with you about Hurricanes vs. Earthquakes. I have lived through so many Hurricanes, but I have never encountered an Earthquake. I bet it was very scary! I would have been running along with you.
I think Donnie needs to come and experience a Hurricane down here in the south!
I’ll see ya’ll in October!

Hey Danny,
Seeing you in person at the MOA was a memory I will cherish forever! Even after being up all night and being in line for 18 hours!!!—> having you there was all worth it!!!! Being in the front row and seeing you perform for the first time in over 14 years was more meaningful than I had even imagined. I wish I would have thought of something more clever to say instead of “Hi. Thank you.” lol!! I’m gonna blame it on the no sleep thing.
Thanks again for the most amazing day of my life!!

Danny~~~ Sounds like you had so much fun! I wish i could have been there! It is amazing how hard you 5 guys are working and you couldn’t have come together at a better time. I know I’ve said it once before but when you 5 came back it restored my faith in God! It’s strange how God works that way! Take care and am praying for you and your families!

I love how you guys seem to be having as much fun in this ‘ride’ as us fans are! That right there makes this reunion even more special.
And as for the thank you’s … I’m sure we’re all more than happy to be ‘back on the block’ again and we’re just happy you guys are there with us once again! :).
Have fun rehearsing & I can’t wait to see the result!!!

brilliant blogs … love hearing what the guys are up to …. hey guys .. don’t forget us in the uk …. we are waiting !!!!!! (not very patiently)!!!!!!
August 13th, 2008 at 12:40 pm
So wish my friends could have gotten off just to see you perform..like I told them, even if we didn’t get the M&G, the show & just seeing you all would be worth it. Oct is coming fast & I just can’t wait for it & then Nov for my M&G!
The plane (if that’s the right thing for me to call it) sounds incredible. I hope Donnie didn’t get as freaked out by it as you did by the Earthquake! Being from the Midwest I’m used to tornadoes & an earthquake or a hurricane would make me a wreck…at least we can run for the basement!!! :P.
Take good care & all of you, travel safely…The excitement continues to build. All of my pre-orders are in place..have been for a while. I can’t wait for my mailbox to start filling up , but I’m NOT waiting for the CDs to arrive! I’m getting the MP3 immediately & rushing to the store on the 2nd (& for Summertime’s hard copy too). Love ya, Gail

Hello Danny good to hear from you!! Haha good on you for admitting about the earthquake…I’d probably do the same. Actually we had a mini short earthquake earlier this summer in England where I live..in the middle of the night. I woke up in bed to shaking walls and a vibrating bed and thought I must be hallucinating or dreaming..or a car crashed into my house. Anyway as it went quiet I then decided I’m too tired to get up and find out so decided to go back to sleep haha! I found out other people got up and dialled emergency services and there was a 10 minute wait to get an answer. Anyway that is my little story of a scary experience. Look forward to seeing you in Sept!! in Boston!! x x x x x
August 13th, 2008 at 2:46 pm
Hi Danny, Just want to say dont forget about the UK…….!!!! We need you over here too!!!!!! HURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 13th, 2008 at 4:37 pm
Hey Danny,
I’m glad you’re taking Donnie’s jabs at you at face value. Even up here in Ontario we do tend to experience earth quakes like Califormia does only not quite as extreme as the one you experienced.
In fact the last earth quake that I experienced up here it shook all of my mom’s furniture and china but I barely even noticed it. Then there was the “Christmas Quake” that happened at the end of the millenium and I was out like a light and I didn’t even notice that one either.
Just as long as you’re prepared for the after-shocks then it shouldn’t be that much of a problem.
Take care
Celeste

Danny,
I was one of the fortunate to have met all of you at the Mall of America and yes, as a fan for many years, I thank each and everyone of you for coming back. You all were great, the songs are fresh and new and I only look forward to the cd and the upcoming concert in Minneapolis and Chicago (I’ll be at both). I even catch my boys (9,7 &3) singing “Summertime”. Maybe I’ll
