Ok, Los Angeles is officially a crazy place! I just went through my first earthquake. Makes me want to get out on tour all the more. Seems really strange to me that ten minutes after it ended life continued as normal for these people. I think ill park my car on the street from now on and not in the underground garage. I never get to rehearsal on time but believe me I couldn’t wait to leave my apartment this morning.

Oh Jon, I was wondering if all of you were still there! We had a earthquake here in Indiana that was nutty, I woke up in the middle of the night thinking that a ghost was shaking my bed :). Hang in there, I guess people in LA are use to that kind of thing; I like it better in Indiana, you should come sometime! Hang in there, I am sure there will be aftershocks!

I have to admit y’ll were the first people that popped into my head when I read that there was an earthquake. I have only experienced a small one but it still scared the living crap out of me. I don’t believe that anywhere is safe to park the car during an earthquake. I’m so happy that no one was injured. Be safe! I can’t wait to see y’ll out on tour~

I love LA, but hate the earthquakes. Earthquakes are my biggest fear and having two little ones makes it really hard to be scared. I have to put on my brave “mommy face”. I don’t want my kids to have my same fears.
Thanks for letting us know you are all ok. I would tell you they get easier to handle the more you are hear, but I have been in CA for 26 years and they haven’t gotten any better for me.

Oh Jon!!! Thanks so much for letting us know how you were doing after the quake. I was worried for you guys. I think people from LA are use to it, I know I would feel the same way as you though. Loved hearing about how well the CD preview party went and now I am even more eager for the concerts!! It’s gonna be a long 2 months for me but I am sure it will be worth the wait!!

Welcome back to Cali. I miss my Santa Barbara hometown but I sure don’t miss the earthquakes. I heard you guys were “shaking up” the Cali Coast but this is crazy! Who says us “kids” from the 80’s aren’t still hot movers and shakers.. Good luck with the tour. I couldn’t get tickets to Chi-town but I’m sure I’ll hear all the familiar old-school screaming. Enjoy the Cali sun and beach for me.

Went through my first one earlier this year…lying awake in my bed in ENGLAND of all places…I thought there was a ghost under my bed at first then I realised the whole house was shaking not just my bed…lol

Oh, Wow! You’re first! I’ve lived in CA my whole life so even though I hate them, you definitely don’t freak out unless it’s huge. I remember the Loma Prieta in 89. That was so scary! A 5.4 is what we call “scary but fun” because it gives you a rush but generally nobody gets hurt. Life must go on…we don’t get earthquake warnings so we can’t sit around worried all the time.
Ava’s right. It’s probably safer in the parking garage if your in a newer structure. Park near the columns where the structure is stronger.
Maybe the quake was all the excitement you guys are bringing!

All it takes is an earthquake to convince you that LA is crazy??? You must not have been looking around much while you’re out there.
There was an earthquake in NJ as well (yesterday,7/28) so I’m thinking it’s all of us NKOTB fans jumping for joy that is causing the earth to shake.

I’ve only felt an earthquake once…it was a TINY one and it was years ago, but I remember waking right up out of my sleep in the middle of the night thinking that someone was kicking my bed. Scared me to death, but it turned out no one else in the house felt it, and I had to wait for the news to vindicate me the next morning by reporting that there was indeed an earthquake in the area, LOL. I can’t imagine what a 5.8 quake feels like. Take care of yourself (and your car, naturally)! Make sure the other guys take care too!

No earthquakes, wildfires or hurricanes. I don’t live near a lake or river, so no floods either. Sure there is the occassional tornado, but we just take shelter and pray to God. I never have had an earthquake in my life before… so I dunno how it feels / is like.
May this situation is kind of normal to this people… as far as I know … earthquakes happen a lot in this area.It’s about the geology there… the Mariannen ditch is next to L.A.
So don’t mind & do the best to feel comfortable & safed with.
My life went better the last 2 days,too.My loved Grandma will be back home before the weekend…she’s in a hospital right now…she nearly died last week,she was really sick & that scared me sooo much…she’s the last one of my grandparents.Dunno what to do,if she’d die,too.Honest.

Welcome to California, Jonathan! The biggest earthquake I was in was the one in 1989 here in the Bay Area when part of the Bay Bridge collapsed and was shut down for a month. I was 13 and home by myself. It is scary but I will take earthquakes over tornados/hurricanes anyday! See you in October! Love to you all!

Glad to hear you’re all alright. That’s the one reason I have been reluctant to move to California, especially since there’s no warning system for those. Here in tornado alley, we are used to a warning system for natural disasters, much prefer knowing it’s headed your way over the surprise that is an earthquake. Still hoping you guys will come to Oklahoma (hint, hint, hint)!

I completely know what you mean about wanting to leave the apartment! I’m in Costa Mesa and when the earthquake happened, I pretty much tried to run down the stairs and out the door! Earthquakes freak me out especially because I am always scared that it will be the “Big One”! Hopefully that will not happen anytime soon! I heard on the news that L.A. got quite a jolt! Just think of it as going on a ride at Magic Mountain….then it’s not so bad. I’m glad that you are ok(-: Have fun at rehearsal!

I’m glad you are okay. I live in downtown los angeles so yeah it was kinda like okay its just an earthquake for me…lol. Most buildings have the rollers underground so I think your car will be safe but just in case park in the street. I’m exited that my favorite group in the whole world is in LA. YEEEAH!

They clearly do not realize how important you all are to all the fans. *sigh* Glad to hear all is well. I was there in ‘92 during an earthquake and I vowed never to move to CA. It was a fright!

Glad you are okay and that things are back to normal. Nothing is worse than an attack from Mother Nature !!! Like some people says on some forums, Mother nature must be a Blockhead hehehehe I never understand the close relation between a man and his car but I am sure that when the Jon-Mobile is okay, everything else is okay as well…

One good thing about living in the northern hemisphere now - you hardly get any earthquakes - yay! Grew up on a faultline in Wellington in New Zealand which is overdue for the ‘big’ one. Tends to shake a bit when one hits but you get used to getting under doorways or tables… it’s only when things start falling down you have to really pay attention
The worst is when you’re hungover and you’re not sure if things are moving or it’s just the effects of alcohol

Yeah, it was MY first earthquake ever, too!!! I’m so thankful my boyfriend was there to tell me what I needed to do. Ahh ~ craziness! But thank God that seems to be the worst of it, and there have been no reports of injuries (at least, last I heard).

Ironically, I just said to someone that I’d happily trade all the snow, ice and months of cold weather for a little ground shaking once in a while. But after reading your post….maybe not.
I’m guessing that it’s probably one of the most unsettling things to experience. (especially if you’re not used to it)
Glad to know you’re all ok though!
Now…late for rehearsals is one thing, but you can’t possibly make us wait any longer on concert days, we just won’t be able to handle it.

This was also my first one. I was running around like a headless chicken trying to get to my children and figuring out where to go to be safe. Then waiting to see if another one was going to come. It was crazy! That’s what I dreaded moving to CA! :p

It’s okay Jon, the main thing is of course that everyone is safe and alive. Buildings and cars are replacable, people are not! As far as people continuing on as normal here, well, with the busy lifestyle as most people are in here, if nothing is damaged, then you have to continue. It also is quite calming instead of dwelling on the “what if’s”. My location was only 8 miles away from the epicenter… yes, I had some things damaged and non replaceable, but I’m still here without a scratch!

My husband just told me there was an earthquake near L.A. because the company he works for has its headquarters there & they told everyone in case they were concerned about it. I, of course, was immediately thinking of all of you & Donnie & Joe’s families. I’m glad you are all good. I always pray for you all that you are safe wherever you are esp when away from home. I lived in LA when i was younger, but now i live in beutiful Colorado and i think i rather stay here for a while longer and enjoy the mountains and snow. I plan to go back to LA soon, but i would like to travel first to see where i would like to make my home. I have only lived in Colorado, LA, and Kansas so i would love to see other places first. Glad you guys are ok. You’ll have to get yourselves here to Boston ASAP, no earthquakes here (although we did have a tornado warning and 2 tornados hit NE last week, crazy huh?) That’s what I like about Boston, you get hurricanes but those are easy, you know way before they get here and have plenty of warning! Hope everything else is going well. Not that I probably wouldnt have been screaming my head off! I have never KNOWINGLY experienced an earthquake. Although I heard we had one here in Northwest Indiana a few months ago in the middle of the night. I guess I just sleep hard and didnt even notice, LOL! I cant say I blame you for not wanting your car in the underground garage, I think I would do the same thing. okay, I first read two posts without reading anything and I said Jonathan posted twice today that is strange. Then I was like OMG my Jonathan was in an earthquake. Being an East Coaster just like you - I cannot imangine an earthquake at all - I am soooo sooooo glad you are okay. I don’t blame u for not wanting to park in the underground garage - me no never I would not want to do it either. Don’t worry baby I can pretty much promise at least I am pretty sure that when you come to New York there will be no earthquakes.

My friend, who lives in LA (she’s originally from Nor Cal) just text messaged me to tell me that she & her family are doing alright despite the quake.
Most LA natives are accustomed to quakes. I found this out a few years back when I was visiting Universal City & felt a quake. No one said anything about it. I live about 10 hrs north of LA, so I still get a little surprised when we get one up north.
If you should feel an after shock, I’d advise you to duck under a table or underneath a doorway! Take care & stay safe.

I hate earthquakes too, but the ground doesn’t shake that often in the Portland area. When it does life doesn’t go back to normal right after because we have been told that there will be a big one to hit our area one day. I did not realize you guys were so close to the action of the quake. I hope you are all okay, and all the rehearsals are coming along smoothly. (No pun intended.) Take care of yourself, get some sleep, and some coffee to calm your nerves. Don’t watch movies like Deep Impact, Volcano, or anything with a natural disature in it. Hope you have fun on tour, and when you are in Portland, hope you can get some Christmas Shopping done. Do you remember that there is a mall about 10 minutes from the Rose Garden…just in case you wanted to do some shopping.

I feel so spoiled. Two blogs in one day! How .. well.. YAY!!!
You do know that the ground will swallow you up in those earthquakes don’t you? LOL My dad lives in literally the town of Paradise in Northern California and we always tease him that he will either be swallowed up by an earthquake or will be swept out to sea when california drops off into the ocean
But you could always come to Texas. We got more exiting things.. Tornadoes! LOL
After last night and 1am bedtime, I’m exhausted. HOW do you guys keep up the pace man. Good gosh a mighty. Oh and yeah I’d park in the street too.. no underground parking for me. Claustrophobia city man. But dude.. you better have an ocean view apartment. Those would be to die for

I was just out west (Vancouver) and in my apartment there was a earthquake kit because Vancouver is the same faultline. On the top it said that a “major, devastating earthquake could happen at any moment…” Wow…I felt a little like I want to leave ASAP.
You guys are doing great! “Summertime” is going up the charts here in HALIFAX, Canada everyday, #4 tonight. All the blockheads are coming out of the closet. My friends are telling complete strangers that I once met Jordan and people are lining up to hear the story, haha. I need to carry the picture in my wallet or something.

Bless your heart! I have heard the earthquakes out there are pretty bad. I guess that is another advantage of living in the south. In all my years down here I have only been through one earthquake and it barely registered on the scale. Stay safe and God Bless!

okay sending another blog to my sweetie pie before this east coast girl heads off to bed - I have to be in work early tomorrow okay ugh I am so not an early person lol. Anyway, can’t get you out of my head and feeling bad that you had to go through your first earthquake - hey come on you are almost 40 and it took you this long to live through an earthquake. At least now you can say you lived through at least 1. I still can’t say at just turned 40 that I have since at least for now my feet are staying very firmly planted on the East Coast. Anyway, so happy again you are safe and that you made sure and let us know. I know this might be easier said than done but just put it out of your head and have sweet and happy dreams. I know now I am becoming your true online blogging mom not only telling you to make sure you take care of yourself and eat your veggies and all but now telling you to have sweet dreams. It has always been me, I was like the little worrying mother hen at 6 or 7 and it has never stopped. No matter how amazingly sexy I found you, I am still going to morph into your online blogging mom I guess. Anyway hope at least made you smile and laugh today thought you needed it and you made me smile and be happy today when I saw your blogs when work was totally crazy so I figured I owed you and had to return the favor.

Thank goodness you guys are alright. I was young, about 12 when I had my first earthquake and didn’t realize it was an earthquake till I got home. I was like why are people looking up? What’s happening? Earthquakes are always terrible, just remember the TRIANGLE OF LIFE in case of aftershocks (Hope you won’t be able to experience that again). Thanks for keeping us updated.

Hi Jon. I lived in California for about 7 years and I agree that first earthquake is always a little of a shock (after all we take for granted that the ground is a solid object that DOESN’T move of its own accord), but after a while you do get used to it (much like getting used to tornados in Colorado where I’m living now!). Thanks for taking the time to write to the fans to let them know you are all okay.

if I said I get used of earthquakes,it will be the crazy talk I know but 7-10 times a years in Taiwan is very very normal. But it still scared hell of me…..Don’t think earthquakes is the thing you will get used of……Good luck^^

Thank you for the update Jonathan!! I can’t imagine what an earthquake of that scale (or higher, god forbid!) would be like.. I’m so happy to hear you’re okay and everything is fine. I don’t blame you for wanting to get to rehearsal ASAP afterward - I’d HATE being alone for something like that, especially not being used to it.
Sidenote: it’s just really sweet that you thought to come and tell US about it. You guys all really know how to make us feel important to you and that’s just something that amazes me every day.
Also, thanks for the update in general. It’s always so great to hear from you all and I love that you’re having such a good time with the rehearsals. As long as you guys are having fun, we will too!
Is it too early to be counting the days until I finally get to meet you (and hopefully get the chance to chat)?

Thank you for the update Jonathan!! So glad to hear you and everyone else is okay!! Earthquakes are definitely a scary thing!!
Interestingly enough thought back in Aug. 2002 or 2003 on a Saturday in the early AM, I felt a really small one, either a 1 or 2 magnitude and it wasn’t in California but here in our home state of Massachusetts!! Go figure that like never happens but it did that day, it was shocking to see on the news when it was confirmed. It was only a few seconds that day and felt like people running up and down the stairs in the hallway.. I can’t imagine what a higher magnitude feels. Just scary.

A big relief to know that you guys are okay. I myself survived quite a few of those high magnitude earthquakes when I lived 2.5 years in Japan. The difference between your car and my apartment is that rather than being underground, my apartment was on the top floor. Yep, the chandelier swung heavily for a couple of minutes!
Anyways, can’t wait seeing you on tour in Europe again soon! SWITZERLAND is waiting!

Okay, trust me you really don’t want to park your car in the street during a big earthquake.. chances are it won’t be safe especially if something falls lol.. The last time I felt an earthquake was at school and it a large box of books fell and it my head before I could get under the table. Our last earthquake, lucky I slept through it.

Hi Jon,
I was 24 when I first felt a earthquake, it came in stages of 10 secs brake, then 20 secs brake, then 30 secs. That was back in New Zealand in the top of the South Island, I nearly scared myself to death, didn’t like it at all. I was working in a supermarket at the time, but hadnt started that day yet, but everyone was talking about when I got to work, people were saying houses were swaying allsorts of other stuff. Hope you guys are well, cant wait for you guys to go onsale in London uk. Have fun.

This is my first time here. Until today I was just a “silent fan” reading the other fans responses…
I just wanted to tell you that “Summertime” is doing very good here in Estonia (Estonia is in East-Europe, it is one of the Baltic countries, our neighbours are Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia). The song is played often in one of the biggest and most popular radio stations here. And it is nr 2 on the countdown.
I am happy!:))
Earthquake, yeah, we don’t have them here. There was a few many years ago, but they didn’t have remarkable strength. Scary though.
PS. It would be really really great if you could come to Finland for a concert - Estonia would be too much to ask.

Hey Sweetie, I am so glad you SURVIVED!! It was quite a jolt,I was walking my daughter to the library and i was right next to a apartment building and it sounded like a huge explosion and then shaking, I was SCARED, so I could imagine you apartment was loud and if you were up high it probably swayed ALOT! I have lived in Southern California my whole life and I am still not used to earthquakes. I have to agree with you, it seems bizarre to me too that everyone just carries on like nothing happened, I felt like I needed to just sit and wait and Thank God I was ok and see if another one decided to roll on through…whew. Anyways you are a trooper and I am sure it is something you will never forget either!! It sounds like the CD release party was a success and I wish I had had a chance to go, I am glad all the fans were receptive to the new album and i can’t wait to hear it. I knew there was a reason I never went out to Cali like I was planning when I graduated high school!! I definately like living here in New England soooo much better. You don’t have to worry about tornadoes, hurricanes, or earthquakes too much!!! Just the Noreaster’s! I’d rather deal with a bit of snow and have a nice evening sitting with my family!!

How’s you day? Just wondering, what floor were you on when it happened? I’ve felt tremors from earthquakes from another country (on another island) twice and I’m on the 5th floor and THAT was bad enough to freak me out. Hope you weren’t that high up during the earthquake.

So glad you guys are ok. Earth quake has never been easy to anyone. We’ve had severals of big ones in 2006, although, Thank God,we did not get any physical injuries (though our home was cracked) but nevertheless it left a real deep mental trauma. Heart out to the earth quake victims God Speed!

I’ve got friends in L.A. and I was worried about them but I totally forgot you guys would be there right now! I’m sorry you had to go through your first earthquake Jon–I’ve only experienced a very very tiny earthquake and that was freaky enough for me. You’re smart to park outside.
Regarding brandie78’s comment above… Jon–take advantage!!! You’re single now and you weren’t back then, so go out there and have some (safe) fun like the other guys did back in the day! ☺ Seriously you should. You can find a sweet understanding long-term partner LATER. Hahaha!!!! I’m bad, I know. But you’re a celebrity and you might as well enjoy it!

Glad to hear that you are okay. As Wendy had said there was an earthquake here in Indiana, I did not feel it. I did feel the one that we had many moons ago. I was downstairs watching the Step By Step VHS to be exact (funny huh) and things began to rattle. Just thought that you guys were doing a really good job on stage making me feel like I was there lmao. When this last one hit it was just weird y’know because you live in Indiana and you do not think of things like that, just if your corn is going to grow lol. Okay I use LOL too much, but look I LOVE these blogs it is much better than reading things in magazines that may not even be exactly what you said. Very personal and I LOVE IT. N E way I am glad to hear that you are okay.

I have never experienced an earthquake, and do hope that I never will. Though it kind of bothers me now that I’ve moved relativly close to an ” sleeping ” Volcano… All I have ever seen before were lots of floods, the sort which makes you say : ” Put on your lifevests and start slurping ” hehe. No, I am from Europe and the floods during Winter and Spring are enough for me. But now i do live in the Tacoma area and the beautiful sight of Mount Rainier does give me the shivers at the same time.

HAPPY FRIDAY SWEETIE PIE!!!!!!
Figured the most beautiful man on the planet needed some friday love and cheering up after your little earthquake shake up this week. Anyway, not posting long yeah I know I say that all the time next thing you know there is a novel, I just love to talk and write what can I say hopefully at least I keep you entertained lol. Anyway this girl has to get to bed work comes early tomorrow morning.
Anyway hope you are doing something fun this weekend for yourself and it is not all work. I am the most excited girl on the planet right now - we are going to Jersey right from work and I am spending the weekend with all my little cousins. I have not seen most of them except for my cousin Caitlin since early May and I have missed them so much - I can hardly wait to see them, I am jumping out of my skin I am so excited. I know to some people it would be strange being excited spending a weekend with 10 kids in one house under the age of 15 but I love every moment of it, it is the best time in the world and being Kekkie as well as being Aunt Kelly to my four nephews is my absolute favorite thing in the world to be. I can hardly wait for 4pm to come my family is picking me up and then it is off the Jersey so excited. Only down thing I was planning on spending most of Saturday out by the pool with the kids and now it is supposed to rain which means my laptop is getting lots of use with little hands lol. It becomes their laptop when I am there, they set it up by the fireplace in the living room and everyone of them take turns - the funniest are the youngest ones they are just so funny they want to do everything by themselves. My laptop is loaded up with games for them, my family teases the heck out of me but I am always putting new things for them for when I get there although do not underestimate the power of playing a Diego Safari Adventure game it can get cool okay maybe not - I am just still a big kid sometimes though lol.
Anyway, I’m turning in let me let you go, until I talk to you next time, you know the drill, make sure you are getting enough rest, I know you are loving working on the album but make sure you are resting too and that you are eating right. Take care of yourself and remember to enjoy every moment of this amazing second ride that you are on and have fun and remember how beautiful your smile and at least how much I at

I have been to LA, but not during an earthquake. However we did have a small on in GA about 6 years ago…. didn’t know we could have one here.. kinda weird. I’m glad you’re ok. That must have been scary. We had a earthquake in Illinois a few months ago in the middle of the night. I didn’t even know what happened. My puppy woke me up. It freaked me out a little to think we might start getting earthquakes here.

We felt this particular earthquake all the way down in San Diego! Even though I’ve lived in California for over 15 years, I’m still not quite used to them yet. (But when you’ve got our beautiful sunny weather for the majority of the year…it makes it all worth it!)

The 5 point earthquakes are like roller-coasters to us Cali girls. I didn’t notice it because I was walking and sort of preoccupied with work, but my husband said the whole house shook for about 40 seconds. Apparently my dog really freaked out. Poor thing, first fire-works now this.

My all time favorite picture of you is in Lynn Goldsmith’s book. It’s of you and Chris. I bumped into Chris and told him that, that picture makes me cry, but it’s what you said that brings the tears. I too was adopted and my 3 older brothers are blonds with blue eyes. I am Mexican,white,Indian,and black blended together. But when the book 1st came out I asked my brother if he had ever lost friends because I was not his color. But he said no. Anyone who could not accept me as his sister was no friend of his. I just want to say it’s meories like this that has kept me a fan for 20 years.

hope you had a great weekend sorry I am late stating that but for the record hanging out in a house with 12 children when you just turned 40 takes a lot out of a girl lol. Anyway, I would not have traded it for the world the kids are terrific and I love them soooo much they are just life’s greatest blessing wish I could see them more. I get to see 7 of them again this weekend lisa has to go away and mike has to work saturday so the nj 7 are coming to brooklyn to spend the day with kekkie and mammie. taking 7 children to church saturday night not looking forward to that lol. they go to church every week and they are always good so I know they will be.

I’ve been in four earthquakes myself (although, three were aftershocks from the same main event) and while it’s a tad scary the first time, you adjust, I guess. It didn’t bother me too much. My first one was bigger than the one that just hit LA.
I have to say, though, I’m glad you all came out of it OK. The image in my head from Donnie’s post of Danny bolting for the door is pretty entertaining.

I’m so happy that the five of you are back together and recording and performing again. You have been my favorite New Kid ever since I got into the group back in 1990, and that was one of my regrets about attending the Face the Music tour: you weren’t there. I don’t know if you remember or not, but I met you way back in 1991 at a gas station in Essex, MA. You graciously stopped to take a couple of photos with me, and you were so sweet to me that I’ve never forgotten that moment. You were the first celebrity I ever met and it meant the world to me that you were so kind. I hope I can meet you when you come to Detroit so I can thank you from the bottom of my heart - I still love you after all of these years!

hey most beautiful green eyed boy HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!! Hope you are having fun and enjoying yourself and that you are smiling - remember how beautiful your smile is and that you are relaxing and enjoying yourself. I swear I feel like I am like your online mom or something sometimes sorry if I sound too smothering but it is just always been me - always worrying and caring and it comes out all the time in my writing lol.
Anyway, work is crazy and so busy but I love it still - it is so great. this weekend after two straight weekends of having 7 kids or more and please remember I adore and love my cousins but I am so looking forward to be just having a weekend to myself lol. It is the truth I would take them again in a second and love every moment if they were coming but I so am looking forward to just having time to myself this weekend lol.

hey my sweet angel,
happy tuesday or about to be wednesday for at least me - tuesday still for you if you are still in california. Hope your weekend was fun and you did stuff that you wanted to do and you enjoyed yourself. That said I wanted to kind of remind you again especially since I am pretty much your self proclaimed online little mother hen to make sure that you are not getting yourslf a little nervous since the release date of the album is coming up. Somehow that smile that I love to see that I did see for a little while after I told you before is disappearing a little again and I figured that you needed a pick me up.
Like I have stated before, totally understand the nerves get them myself and between my mom and me I have seen how it totally takes you over. Still, remember the album is amazing from what I have heard it so amazing and people are going to love it, come on think about we your fans love it already and most of us have not heard all of it yet. Okay to be truthful you all could sing a phone book and we would love it but still the album is amazing don’t worry about that okay.
Okay the going out on stage something that would personally terrify me just so you know so I think you are amazing doing it for as many years as you have done I know that may be making you a little nervous possibly - you are going to be amazing - everyone who is going there already loves you - most of them have loved you for close to 20 years now so we are going to love you no matter how goofy you may think you look. I see when I watch the videos on you tube when you are performing all I can see is you laughing - it is not even a smile I think - I am pretty sure it is laughter - okay so I have already heard you say on a video that you have two left feet and yeah maybe you may forget a dance move sometimes so what - unless something changed from when you were 20 - you were the same person then and me a million other girls fell in love with you then so just relax and enjoy the moment.
Okay now I guess our motivational speaking portion of the blog is over for the day I can remind you that I love to see your face when it is happy and you are smiling so just remember to relax and enjoy this moment - we love all of you for coming back and doing this for us - I know you say that it feels like a dream to you - well to us it is a dream as well because I can only speak for myself but I never ever thought I would be writing in a blog topic on a New Kids website that you had written in before and started and that you probably might be reading my words. So, you got scared about the earthquake… well, glad you are not in Peru, we are so used to that! is not every day, but last year we had a very bad earthquake about 7.8 degrees that destroyed a whole town here… that’s some serious stuff, but my husband is from Maryland and he only felt one little earthquake here and you should have seen his face!!!! it was hilarious… so I completely understand you being nervous about it.
Have fun in the concerts, when are we going to know the dates for the world tour??? is South America on it??? I really hope so, especially Peru.

I am a big fan of ricky martin as well and he has never come out to the public… I still don’t know if he is gay…You are such a sweet person and know that I love you no matter what,,,,,,,, I wish I could come to a concert …I live in kelowna, bc, canada and you are coming to vancouver and calgary….I have four kids and it might be hard to get to come see you guys….I wish I could…. you are sooo awesome as a person and I wish you all the happiness in the world…looking forward to buying the new cd….I remember when we used to say album…lol.

Hope you are doing great and everything - okay now I can officially say you guys are back - they went after Donnie’s personal business on TMZ and you have apparently made a friend in Perez Hilton lol. Honey look at it this way - if Danny, Joe or Jordan make either the Star or the Enquirier you guys can officially say you hit all the trash talkers in the same week. Okay I know it is your personal lives and it really should not be joked and I do not mean really jokingly I think that it sucks that your personal business gets to be broadcast to the world because you make us as your fans happy by entertaining us however you could possibly be used to it by now since you have been dealing with it for a while so I hope you realized where it came from and just let it slide right off of you - I know that is probably not easy but at least I hope you did.
That said about the garbage that was said about Donnie that is personal matter of Donnie and his family enough said about that. The one about you that is personal matter of yours true or not and frankly I just want someone as sweet as beautiful as you to have someone to share thier life with and to be in love with as I also wish for myself and honestly it would not matter to me if that person was a man or a woman and I do not find it my business and I do not feel it is right to try to force to answer such a personal issue. That is really all I want to say about that except for it does really suck that you have to go through this crap if I can just say that again. I can only speak for myself when I say your private life is your private life and you have every right in the world to keep it your private life no matter what garbage comes out of anyones mouth or in this case a computer keyboard and no one has to right to force you to say anything about it.
That said my sweet honey - how was your week I hope really great and I hope you are relaxing before the craziness of the cd comes out I heard the song previews omg they are so amazing I love them the album is going to be so hot it is just mindblowing it is so amazing.
I really do hope you are getting some relaxation and you are getting possibly a vacation before all of this. Hello Jonathon,
My name is Nicole and I just wanted to thank you and the rest of the group for your music way back when. I lost my cousin back in 1989 and it was the hardest thing we had to face, my cousin had just turned 12 and died 4 days after his birthday and I was gutted. I have wanted to thank you and the rest of the band for a long time now, for helping me through it all. You may not realize it, but your music was everything to me, and without it I am not sure of the path I could have taken. I was so conscientious of what was right and wrong with the help of your image. Back when I was a teenager you were the clean cut boys from Boston who were good inside and out. I wanted to emulate your choices which helped me immensely. Thank you again, I hope you are able to read this comment, I am currently living in North QLD Australia and we aren’t always up to date with current affairs in America.

one more thing I know you probably know this already but just in case it is on your mind - as I stated what gender of people you find attractive is none of mine and outside that person your circle of family and friends is none of anyone else’s business and no one should publically speculate because it is rude.
If there is something publically that some online gossip vicious vile hack is trying to get you to admit - only do it because it is something that you want to do and feel comfortable doing it otherwise we as your fans honey we have been dealing with this rumor for I can’t tell you how long we are so used to it and our answer is always the answer above none of our business. That said do what is right for you - I don’t want to think that you need to say something and to drag not only yourself but to also post a photo of a friend no matter what else can be said that can and what he doing is wrong - saying someones personal business publically that is just plain nasty. AND…A MONTH LATER…so i’m not as good with the whole replying to blogs things…maybe its cuz i never know what to write and feel like a boob sometimes(i tend to blab..ex 5part txt msgs). So,i think its so cool that everyone is keeping us up to date with these blogs! Makes me feel like we’re actually getting to know y’all!
and quick li’l personal thing…i agree with everyone bout the rumors. Granted i nearly had a coronary when i read it. I know I know..but having a 20 year old crush causes temporary insanity…and those who knew of this constantly teasing my “crush” irk…but you know what? I got over it and all the haters and rumor makers can have a spoon(er, inside joke there). I love you for everything that you are and that will never change, rumor true or not! You will always have the support of your fans and that won’t ever die! I mean, if my feelings for you haven’t faltered in 20+years…14 of which i never knew where or when I’d ever hear of you again(except the Oprah show….which btw way when I see you in person I have to tell you an AMAZING story of bonding that came out of seeing that…you rock so much and don’t even know it…hugs)..oops i babbled.
IF i still love you after all that, i certainly don’t see it going away anytime soon. You’re caring, sensitive, love animals, grounded, a champion for facing all your obstacles head on, obviously love your fans for agreeing to do this even while battling your anxieties and concerns, your voice is amazing(you know i listen to HAPPY BIRTHDAY and WHITE CHRISMAS on repeat right), and you should sing more SOLOS!!! oh and the most obvious, you honestly have got to be the MOST BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN OF MAN i have ever been so lucky to be alive and be witness to!! No seriously…its been at least 10 or so years since i’ve seen anything bout you…maybe People magazine or something? but when I accidently stumbled upon the Summertime video…and it was after your close-up..it was a little tidbit of you walking into the club and looking at ppl…i think i woke the neighbors with my pre-teen like squeal of giddiness at that 1st glance!! actually seeing all of you that first in a long time, i felt i had fallen into a time warp back to the late 80’s…but minus the bad hair and wardrobes! and of course, ever since, my cousin and i have been on an enormous NKOTB kick that totally rivals what it was back in the day. MORESO now that we’re in our late twenties, early thirties and are now allowed to enjoy each and every NKOTB moment to the fullest…and also we have decent jobs which equal more money to spend on our guilty pleasures:) :)omg..have i hit the 5 page txt msg mark?? anyway i really hope to finally meet you after all this time. This will be our first NKOTB concerts as we were not allowed to go the 1st time around! and we plan on going to DC, NYC and we got 5 star vips for PA and one other(i think). so please, if you have time and are not too overwhelmed, come chat with the two short asian Marylanders(and we won’t refuse any hugs and/or kisses that may come with that)!! oh and…just ask, and we’ll bring y’all some nice Bmore…or filipino cooking!

hey my sweetie pie forever - okay this is going to be short i know i promise you that all the time and i never deliver but i will be because i have to get some sleep - anyway I am sooooo excited about the album hitting on tuesday it is just soooo amazing - i hear clips of it and i fall in love with it - i know i am going to play it all the time - thank you so much for doing this for all of us - it is such a special gift and we appreciate it you have no idea.
Okay just to keep you up to date and I know you are going to be crushed but you all have to try to get over it. I was so trying to take off of work and come into manhattan on tuesday to finally hopefully see you in person - i work in brooklyn days like tuesday wish i still worked in manhattan so bad lol. anyway, i have since figured out that can’t happen - in my job everyone comes back from vacation on tuesday and since I am still the temporary admin assistant praying to become permanant - hopefully it is happening really soon - work takes precedence over you guys. I love you all especially you honey but it has to be - I had it all planned out to finally see you in person and it blew right up on me oh well I will be with you guys in spirit on tuesday I promise.
That said I hope you enjoyed the meet and greet you guys had in burbank and had a lot of fun today can hardly wait to see a fan post video on youtube - enjoy the last few days hopefully of your getting to relax a little before the real craziness of touring starts. just got back from taking the kids fishing and didn’t catch a damn thing…all this with nkotb fever is making me think back to how before there was internet and we all had to go to the closest 7 eleven to get our nkotb fix from the teeny bopper magazines….i remember back in history class and not knowing how i passed because I had a folded up picture of you guys tucked in my binder…which I some how got away with staring at the whole year….dreaming of our wedding….in that year I married each one of you at least once. You and donnie have always been my favorites but I had to dream about getting married to all of you so that I didn’t feel guilty by leaving someone out. b right back…my daughter just came in the room with q tips up her nose….where is that husband when you need him? ok I’m back…i’ve got such a glamorous life….I really needed to tell you how much I admire your courage for going on oprah back when your anxiety was really bad…..I have the same anxiety and it meant soooooo much to me knowing someone that I looked up to was going through it too.Knowing what a panic attack feels like….I know how brave you are and ready you are to be doing this.I hope to make it to a concert still haven’t decided on vancouver or calgary…if it is meant to be it will happen. Hey beautiful man,
Okay just so I can honestly say the words I am like friggin excited we are in like the same city state and that you are in New York. I know you have been a million times before but sorry like I have said already for us fans this week is like Christmaas. Okay that said Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day Baby. By the way where is part 2 of our video blog - I am like so dying for part 2 and I get nada lol.
I also want to say thank you because from reading the other news and notes - I found out that you, Joe and Danny went to go see the fans that were already lined up waiting for the Today show - that is so wonderful of you guys and shows why we love you so much. You treat us like gold and that is why we are as loyal as we are because we know how special we are to you. I am with you guys when all you can do is send your prayers to the people that are going to be affected by Hurricane Gustav and we know you guys will reschedule when you can.
Okay I have to go to bed - we are having my family over for Labor Day - My cousin although she is more like my little sister because we lived next door to each other all of my teenage and young adult years and most of her life Nicole, her husband who I also consider a cousin Frank and adorable baby nephew is coming tomorrow I get to see my Domenico. Can hardly wait for all the excitement of this week it is going to be so great.

hey my sweet man,
just a short blog hoping you are having fun and enjoying England. The CD is so amazing I keep playing it at work and getting new converts for you guys lol (well they are old converts but I broght them back lol!!!) You are looking so adorably amazing in the pictures I saw last week and nice job oversleeping and missing some interviewing time Mister Man lol very nice - I’m looking at the video on youtube - and I’m all confused then Danny kept it real with you overslept lol.
I can tease you about that but I so cannot talk I am so not a morning person so I am usually just in work on time or I’m late always so I can’t pick on you - I am the Princess of oversleeping.
Anyway my sweetie - time for this girl to get some sleep so I possibly may not oversleep for work tomorrow. Until next blog - honey again you could update a blog once in a while - I know you are busy and all but I’m just saying last one was end of July. Just a little FYI in case you forgot when your last blog was.

Look I don’t know what is going on with these rumors and I don’t care. All I know is that I have been a fan of yours for 16 years. I have always looked up to you and admired you when I was a kid. Now I am all grown up, and that little crush still has not gone away. All I want in this world is to have the chance to meet you. To just be able to talk to you and spend some timp with you. I don’t know if you are still even checking these posts…but I just wanted to say that you have always been my favorite new kid…I just learned about your panic attacks. My sister told me to watch the video. I’ve had them for years. Since I was a kid. I’ve even passed out, to my embarrassment, in the ER, convinced that I was going to die. Sometimes I stayed up all night for weeks, afraid to go to sleep. I got so sick. It has probably been one of my hardest struggles. I am so inspired by you. You are truly a strong person! I just went back to school. I’m 26 and am in my second year of university. I am so scared of public speaking, and the fact that I’m older makes it even harder. I will remember you when I have to do it, and how if you can put on a show as awesome as you did thursday night, I can do it too…
you beautiful man…I love you sooo much more for everything that makes you unique and normal…the things that make you real!!!

Hey my sweetie - yeah you remember this the place where you USED TO BLOG now it is just a bunch of us feeling sometime like we are talking to ourselves like Brande just said. For the record, I totally believe you do read these blogs you are just lurking around and it is totally cool like I have said before just as I have said before - you can blog once in a while just when you get a minute or two just a few words okay I am done picking on you - you know no matter I love you - I think you have figured that out by now at least lol.
Anyway, so call me crazy but I think you started this little thing called a tour this week I seem to remember seeing some videos on youtube so I think you did. I love the new haircut baby by the way totally cool. You look amazing and I love seeing your smile you know that. Anything I can see you smile and laugh I am a happy girl because you look so adorable when you do that.
Okay, not keeping you long because you are probably in severe need of sleep but be careful on the road especially be careful with the second stage which I think is awesome by the way but be careful when it is going around that you don’t fall. I know I am a worry wart I have been one since birth and I will be one until death. make sure you get enough sleep and you eat right on the road. Enjoy every moment of this and every hug you get at every meet and greet - my dream is to one day get a Jonathan hug that is my goal - 20 years waiting but I still have hope for that dream to come true lol. Hey my sick angel,
You could hear your cold on the VH1 special - you still looked amazing though and the special was great. I have to say something - you are happily amazing me more every day when I watch videos of you on this tour. You are opening up and you are letting everyone see the real Jonathan that always was inside and we are seeing what an amazing extraordinary person that you are that we know you were anyway but you are just letting us see more of you everyday. Thank you so much for trusting all of us fans and letting us see the side of you that we are seeing now - it is something we are all thankful for.
Okay that said I don’t need to ask you if you are having fun, it is showing nightly all over your face which is great so keep having fun lol. I do have comments about some of the youtube videos which I now watch a lot of - I love them but I am not going to say the comments because I know how embarassed and shy it would make you. Just thanks for always making it fun to come home from work and see what you have done at the concert the night before. Also whenever no matter if I’m 90 and in a walker I do get a chance to meet - I need my hug and kiss - it has been 20 years waiting I need my hug and kiss on the cheek I will like be in heaven for days - see the kiss on the cheek that Maria Menunos got tonight right before you went out on stage - that’s the one I want just like that lol. Okay I’ll stop I am embarassing you but I wanted to make you laugh since you were not feeling great because of your cold.
Let me see - also I saw the interview you and Danny did with I want station Channel 4 in London (I may be wrong but the interview was hilarous) You two were in rare form and could it be my Jonathan did a lot of the talking - okay Danny kind of made you but still that was the most I heard from you doing the talking in an interview in a really really long time and to hear you laugh and see you smile was so great. One little the Emus - honey I’m with Danny what the heck were you thinking - picturing 30 of them just running around your backyard just makes me laugh lol. Also the belt incident I did say ouch when I heard it because it hurt my sweet Jonathan but I was laughing I’m glad you learned that lesson after 1 night. I did love the other parts of the interview too but I’m not posting anything about them to not embarass you but it was so adorable - danny and you have to interview more together lol just the two of you, he makes you talk it is adorable.
The Behind the Music videos talking about your videos I just have to say all I kept thinking about watching you and the guys talking about the videos and you forgetting most of them even existed and having no memories of them I was laughing so hard. To actually kind of defend you - watching it all I could think of was my older brother is the exact same way like talking about something we did as kids - we are two years apart - I remember it and he is totally like you were on those videos we did I don’t remember. To defend both of you, I have come to the conclusision it is not your fault, you are both born on November 29th so I think anyone born that day just kind of represses memories I swear watching it was like sitting in the living room talking about my childhood same way exactly so I had to let you know I understood and I figured that would make you laugh and smile too today because you are probably not feeling good.
This little girl has to meet her bed right now since work comes early tomorrow. I hope you have a day off tomorrow I know no concert and Tuesday is in Conn which is right near Boston so tomorrow you rest Mister I mean it, get yourself some sleep and take care of that cold have some soup or something and enjoy your day off hope you get to spend it at home and enjoy stuff and play with your dog. Remember lots of fluids and get yourself some rest, I don’t want my sweet honey sick out there on the road lol. Okay when you are back on the road, be safe, have fun, get enough rest and keep enjoying yourself, I love your smile and hearing you laugh every night.

Dear Jonathan,
I wanted to start by congratulating you and the group on your reunion and what appears to be a very successful one at that! It looks like your shows are selling out and the media coverage has been outstanding.
I mostly wanted to write this as a thank you. I’ve never been one to believe in “celebrity idols”. To me, idols and heroes are those people who love you and care about you every day and make you a part of their life. But being a gay teenager growing up in the late 80s and early 90s in a small town in Massachusetts I found great comfort in the New Kids. There was no such thing as being out where I came from and I was very depressed and in deep, deep denial. Somehow when a New Kids song or interview or television appearance was on, I always seemed to brighten up. I know New Kids has always been about the girls and now women :), but the excitement and energy I used to see - coupled with seeing 5 guys from Massachusetts fulfill some of their wildest dreams - it gave me a small amount of optimism in what was then a very dismal world and drew me to you. I always paid particular attention to the older, seemigly more quiet and shy New Kid Jonathan. Being a very quiet and shy person myself I think it was something with which I could relate. I could never tell anyone I was a fan for fear of being labeled gay and not wanting to deal with that. It’s a shame really because I think if I had been more open and more aggressive at just being me - not just the gay me but all of who I was and am, life would have turned out so much better and those times certainly would have been much happier.
All of this rambling probably means nothing, but in short - too late, I know - I just wanted to say thanks. I remain a loyal fan, now 33, and I look forward to following all of you on phase 2 of your New Kids careers. Best of luck. I hope to get the chance to see you live before the tour ends.

Hey you..
I was feeling really awesome today because I made homemade chocolate truffles and they turned out sooo good.(this was after my first two disasters)
then I came online like usual to check my emails and check out this website.
Now I’m crying big moose tears because as a canadian resident I can’t see the nkotb special on vh1. I tell ya that vh1 sure knows how to royaly piss me off.
I know its not your fault…but maybe you guys could put it up on your website for us international fans? It would make me and soo many other fans
very happy.Also after reading you refer to the concert as an eargasm, eyegasm, orgasm I will not be taking my daughter..she is only nine. I convinced my husband to come along as long as i agreed to go to a rush concert with him. I HATE RUSH. (canadian band the singer sounds like a dying cat) Anyways I’m going to make a sign for my husband to hold up saying he loves donnie. If you remember your binoculars you might be able to see us. I will be holding my sign that says I love Jonathan…until then enjoy giving all your fans so many gasms ( I didn’t know you could talk like that jonathan!

figured you needed some love - hopefully you rested some since you had a few days off and got over your cold. I saw videos of how bad you were feeling last week - my poor baby coughing and everything. Anyway, hope you got to rest and you had a good few days off and you enjoy the west coast leg of the tour. So jonathan I hope you are enjoying your tour..different place every night.I may know what that feels like in nov. coming to the calgary show on wed then flying back home then driving to victoria for my sons football game..They are first place so far and will most likely make playoffs..woo hoo!
