Hi Donnie,
I just want to first off say thank you so much for being who you are. You made my cousins and especially my day very special at the House of Blues in Hollywood when you did your rehersal show before the Today Show. We didn’t have tickets to get in but took a chance to try to make it in. You came out and pointed at me and asked if I had tickets to get in and sadly said “NO”, but that night changed when you told me to go ahead and go down and let them know so we can watch you guys do you thing on stage after so many years. I must say that was a night to remember. You guys have been my fav and till this day still my fav of all. I hope that I can run into you again soon and personally give you a hug and thank you for being so sweet that night at House of Blue in Hollywood. I won tickets to the private concert of Hangin Tough live Video and yes was brought down stage to party with you guys as you rocked the house. I am in several parts of the Hangin Tough Video and the Hanging Tough Live Video (mostly in the second half). One of your many true fans always, Marilyn .. I am laughing my head off right now! Actually it brought tears to my eyes to see a dad, who you KNOW spent a A LOT of his money back in the day for his daughter to see you guys, up there dancing! And the husband… man what a great guy. My husband sent me to NYC to see the Today Show, taking me to Vegas 5*, and letting me have a girls weekend in NOLA, but I think he would draw a line if I told him we were going to dance to NKOTB at our wedding! Way to go daddy and husband on this video… you get the award of the year! I wonder if SHE is excited about the comeback!

That is so sweet. I wish I would of thought of something like that for my wedding. On a funny note though I recently found out my little sister use to go in my room while I was gone and play my New Kids On The Block Tape and put on my neon Pink happy face tshirt my pink hat and Jean Jacket, and look at herself in the mirror and think she was cool. Ha! Ha! I thought that was funny
I was also flattered to know she looked up to me like that.

Love it. I tried to persuade my husband to do The Way You Make Me Feel by MJ but dancing not being his strong point he was having none of it… in the ned I broke my foor 3 days before our wedding anyway so it would have been impossible…
In the end we danced (yes I managed despite the foot!) to ‘The way you look tonight’ which Joe covered 6 months afterwards. (I would have used that version!!)

I’m from Mogi das Cruzes, a city in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. I’m a big fan of you since 1990. My older cousins were teens and they used to listen NKOTB and I, a little girl couldn’t understand a single word. One day, I felt in love with a guy called Joseph Mulrey Mc’ntyre…I was only nine years old I told my dad: “Hey dad Y wanna study English, ’cause I’m going to get married to Joey. On that time in Brazil, English for kids were not common, but I insisted on it, so I started studying. Your musics, lyrics were really helpfull, I used to sing them a lot(I still have all the long plays).I remember a video* Step By Step-I know it by heart( Someone said: Step by Step is the name of the…).Ok, Joey, I did’nt name my dog or any animal else with your name. But the English which made me the journalist ant the teacher I am comes from you!!!

That was so funny. I wish I had thought of that. My parents were great through my NKOTB era. They took me and a friend to Boston for our family vacation just to try to find you guys. We ended up at your house, on the lawn across the street while you guys were having some kind of BBQ. I have hours of video tape of a basketball hoop with different hands jumping up to score. I got to see Jordan when he was leaving and he almost ran me over with his car!!!
Those were the days.
I think it’s really cool of you to try to connect with all of your fans. I forgot how funny you are. I’m enjoying every minute NKOTB chapter 2.

That has been floating around for a while, That is a very cool girl with a very cool family.
If i am not mistaken there was a thread in the community about that video.
When i was in HS there was this really sweet guy who would break down and do the right stuff dance for us if we begged him enough. All the guys used to tease him about it…But he was the guy that got all the girls, so i guess he knew what he was doing. :0)

I am the bride!! That was so great that you liked our video and posted it. We had a blast dancing to your song at our wedding. My husband and I actually processed out of our ceremony to the same song by accident…our organist thought she was hitting the volume on the ipod instead she changed the song. I have never laughed so hard in my life. I could barely make it down the isle. Not many people can say they processed out to the words “girl you really turn me on”. Still, everyone was surprised when we broke out the dance at the reception. After some coaxing, my dad was really excited to do the dance even though he tore his achilles tendon practicing the routine. He said the memories of the dance hugely outweighed his surgery afterward. We first saw you in concert in Virginia Beach in the early 90’s and we hope to see you again some day.

I really needed a good laugh today and that did the trick! That was better than my dad wearing a fire hat and lip syncing to YMCA at my sister’s wedding reception! If you knew my dad, believe me, you’d be rolling on the floor after that visual.

oh my gosh, that was too funny. I don’t know why I really did not think of that. My husband and I got married in 2000 and I would have love to done something like that, but I am making him listen to all the NKOTB songs from the past. Please tell me you will sing Valentine Girl at the concert, that was one of my fav songs of all time. I think it had to do with the special y’all did for the disney channel. I remember that to this day. I remember you were Indiana Jones and Jonathan (my other fav) wanted to be an actor and he had to keep saying he was sorry. I can not believe I still remember that. Looking forward to seeing y’all in Tampa, my poor husband is trying to find out how you get backstage passes. This was my surprise present b/c he knew how much y’all meant to be as a teen. Hi Donnie, my name is karin and i’m a mother of a beautiful (almost 2 year old) daughter. I’ve been a fan of NEW KIDS..since i was a teenager. I went to the concert when you guys went to my country INDONESIA in the early 90s.
I currently live in Maryland. I moved to the US in 95 to chase one of my dreams which is meeting the NEW KIDS..in person. When I heard that you guys are reuniting, i cried ’cause finally I have a chance to pursue my dream. I did buy the 5 star VIP Package for your show in Atlantic city, but I have to put my dream on hold. I have to move back to Indonesia because of personal reasons in early September.
Donnie, when I read your blog and u said, “.. I am coming to, and I will, FIND YOU!!! I expect to meet you, speak with you, and get some face time with as many of you as possible. That’s my word!”

thanks so much for everything…for doing this reunion, for coming back after all these years and turning my life upside down once again. You made me so happy - back in the days and now. Most of all though, thank you for being who you are…this amazing man, so down to earth and trying everything to be as close to your fans as you can. Your blogs always fill my heart with so much warmth and joy, they sound like they are coming straight from your heart. It’s not just some superficial words, you really show your feelings and make us fans feel really close to you by doing that. That’s one of the things I love so much about you. You make us feel we’re really part of the whole thing, you try to make us feel we’re on the same level.

I loved that video you seen on youtube that was cute… I just wanted to say am so happy that the five bad brothers from BEAN TOWN are back. my two younger boys are really really huge fans now. Today we were watching VH1 the countdown to see where NKOTB was on the countdown.and when i seen NUMBER 1 i totally freaked out. my two boys coming running back in the house from playing outside to see what mom was yelling and just totally freak out about. and i told them and you know they seen the video and was trying to dance let you guys. I think it is so cool that they younger genration is now finally seeing what i have grew up with it. I would like to say thank you. I think NKOTB is a great role model for the kids.

That’s a true fan! She’s one of MANY. Looks like she had fun doing that and I’m sure that her Dad had fun also. I am the bride!! That was so great that you liked our video and posted it. We had a blast dancing to your song at our wedding. My husband and I actually processed out of our ceremony to the same song by accident…our organist thought she was hitting the volume on the ipod instead she changed the song. I have never laughed so hard in my life. I could barely make it down the isle. Not many people can say they processed out to the words “girl you really turn me on”. Still everyone was surprised when we broke out the dance at the reception. After some coaxing my dad was really excited to do the dance even though he tore his achilles tendon practicing the routine. He said the memories of the dance hugely outweighed his surgery afterward. We first saw you in concert in Virginia Beach in the early 90s and we hope to see you again some day.

That is funny! I am getting married next summer but my dad would NEVER go for it! However…the wedding party doesn’t have much choice. When we are announced at the reception hall each couple will be coming out to a different song, including me and my husband! first of all, ist’s good to hear from You again 2 Day’s in a row. You are right, that’s a very cool Video. I wish i could do my Wedding all over again, and play some New Kids on the Block. Not to long ago, my Husband had to travel, for his Company, for a few Months. So he send me a YouTube Video. It was ” I’ll be loving You forever “. I cryed, because it’s one of my Favorite Songs, but he didn’t know that. He know,s that I’m a huge New Kids on the Block Fan, and he took the time, to pick out that Song.

Great video, You tube so great!! I seen awhile back too as many fans on here have. I wish my dad whould be so cool. My bros try to that for me at my wedding but dj didnt have you guys. Isnt that funny?? Its been a great 2008 reunion I telling you. More and more women I run into have Summertime on their phones and are just as excited as I that you are back together. I liked that the husband and mother joined in and with such synchrony. They were good sports! Speaking of sports, I am really happy the Celtics captured banner 17! It was a long season of throwing t-shirts at the Garden. Sorry, I didn’t toss one your way Donnie. Maybe if they bring the Green Team back next season I will make a point to look courtside when tossing.

Thanks for the video Donnie, it was hilarious! It reminds me of times back in the day! My friends and I loved dancing and singing to your songs back then, and now I sing along to “Summertime” in the car or at home. I just wanted to say that you totally made my day when I heard that you were doing a concert here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I first saw you in concert when you opened for Tiffany and I loved your music from that moment on, so when you came back here on your own and you were the mainliner I HAD to go. My best friend at the times mom camped out for the tickets do that we could go to the concert. We got floor seats and we were totally excited about it. Your music had and has such a positive energy about it and made everyone want to get up and dance to it. When you no longer were a group I still listened to your music just because it was still something I enjoyed to listen to.
The first time I heard your song summertime was just after my ex and I split and I was driving to the lake with my 2 year old daughter. I was feeling kind of down and I looked in my rear view mirror and caught my daughter dancing around in her car seat(well dancing as best she could buckled in). It brought a smile and a laugh to my face. She absolutely loves that song and calls it her song and makes me replay it over and over and over again, plus sing it with her. She actually knows quite a few of the words to it. So thank-you for bringing back some of my teenage years and for bringing a smile to my face once again after all these years.
Oh and Donnie, you were always my FAVE! LOL

Hey Donnie I’m not sure if you read these replies I am sure that you are a very busy man so don’t have much time on your hands. I guess I just wanted to say thanks for the video it really was funny, put a smile on my face. Also wanted to say thank you for the reunion I always hoped it would happen and now it finally has. You guys were there for me when I was a teenager and thought everything about my life sucked (I now understand being an adult that I really didn’t have anything to worry about at that time in my life, hindsight is a wonderful thing
)Now I’m an adult a married women and I find myself in a foreign country, living in a situation with my inlaws and husbands grandmother which is less than perfect and my smile doesn’t always shine the way it should. Learning of the New Kids reunion has given me back a little sparkle. Hearing your music, looking at your pictures, dreaming of seeing you in concert makes me smile and takes me out of my current situation and into a happy place. I would love to be able to come see you guys in concert but am pretty sure not going to be able to do that but I’ll be there in spirit thru this web site. The one thing I like about you so very much is that even thou you are a very famous person you still are in touch with were you came from and understand that the fans are an important part of helping to get you where you are today. ADD BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA TO YOUR TOUR!!!! i am from alabama but now live in GA. my best friend is still in alabama. we bought tickets to the show in atlanta the minute they went on sale not realizing its on a wednesday night and three hours away for each of us. we just knew we were going to the concert when we first heard about the reunion. we have loved ya’ll since were like 5 or 6. we had the new kids barbies, all of the bedding, the videos (which i still watch sometime to this day!) You all are HOT! You all look great, better than ever, and have matured and grown as men so wonderfully. My name is Claudia I am 31 and I am a radio DJ in a radio in my country. I have several other radio projects but none of them I can play NKOTB…such a shame…would be a pleasure to present you guys on the radio. I guess I have to keep on dreaming!
Portugal it’s my country. It’s in Europe, near to Spain. Probably I am the only person from Portugal who keep loving NKOTB so passionaletly. I know, there’s no market for you guys in here, little country with a special taste to alternative/indie bands. That was hilarious. I loved it! My cousin caught me doing the dance moves in the Summertime video a couple of weeks ago. The part where you guys are in white suits. She found it very amusing and recorded it in her camera phone. But upon playback I made her delete it cause I thought I looked like Snuffalufagus hopin around. I’m 31 and I literally had to explain to my 14 yr old niece who New Kids on the Block were. I couldn’t believe she didn’t know! I mean I don’t have to tell her who Michael Jackson is, right. No one has to tell me who the Supremes are. I broke out every New kid album I had and went on You Tube and made her watch old videos and clips. I took that girl to New Kids school. That was a cute clip. I am really glad to be back in touch with the NKOTB site. Was a fan club member way back in the day. Never stopped being a fan, but life happened. I sat my own kids on my lap and showed them a bunch of the old videos and ofcoarse we watched Summertime over and over. The oldest of my 2 daughters (4 yrs) liked the Cover Girl video the best - I think because of the young girl that got to go on the stage to be serenaded by you. I told her that I had been to a lot of the New Kids concerts when I was a teenager and now she wants to go to see you all in concert too. I hope we, or atleast I, will be able to make the Denver concert in November, but like a lot of people right now, I am fighting to keep our roof over our heads. My husband left our family the day after Christmas last year to serve in the Army, with only a 2 week visit last April. Right now we don’t know when we will see him again. I am a full time student and head of the house. It can be stessful which is why I am up in the middle of the night endulging in NKOTB videos and all the website fun -especially reading the blogs. It is a great escape.
Anyway, even though I have kept my eyes on you all over the years, I just want to say that you all look damn good!!! You were all cuties from the begining, but wow, look at you now! Even if we can’t make the concert this time round, I just can’t tell you how great it is to see you all back together and to feel like that giddy teen again. I will keep my fingers crossed that there will be more to come. I wish you all best of luck on tour and have a great time.

OMG! I just heard today that ya’ll were going on tour again! I am so excited!
Danny actually called our local radio station last week to suprise one of our hosts for her birthday that she’s coming to see ya’ll in Fort Lauderdale. I’m calling her Monday to see if she wants company (I’m a friend of hers and let me tell you she and myself are still screaming)
It’s been so long since the days of posters all over my room stolen out of Tiger Beat magazine. I’ll never forget when I was living in Richmond, Va that Joey was supposed to come see his nephew and uncle up there and I was getting suprised and going to meet him. I was soooo excited until I found out that his plane was cancelled due to weather. SSSUUUPPPOSSEDDDLLYYY the lady who set up the meeting said she had spoken with him and he was going to send me something. I awaited years on that… Funny how something happens almost 20 years ago and sticks in your head. If I am able to find tickets for your show, I’m going to attempt to get backstage passes so I can go back and call Joey a ” mean butt” get that weight off my shoulders.
Anyways, congrats on your return! Ya’ll have aged great!!!

Being able to comment on your blog is something that wasn’t in existence back in 1990. It’s hard to imagine that i can actually write to YOU and there’s a slight chance you might actually read what I am writing here.
i grew up in Singapore and when i first saw you i was 11 and went to the only concert you had in Singapore. I remember going to the Marco Polo hotel “camping out” to get a glimpse of you and I DID! I saw you, Donnie, at the pool but of course we were quickly chased off by your bodyguards. Those were really fun and unforgettable memories. I hope you meant it when you said you plan on coming out to meet the fans.
Now that i live in Washington DC, it is beyond my wildest imagination that i’ll get to see you again in concert! I never thought it would happen. I really hope that me and my three girlfriends will get to meet you and give you a hug for all the love you gave us back in the day.
The time is indeed right and we’re ready as much as you are!
See you in October. October isn’t coming soon enough!

I did let a chuckle out! It reminded me of my wedding! My friends requested this to be played so they could dance to it for me. I made my mark as a teen for being a HUGE fan. My sister even joked in her toast that she wouldn’t tell me that Adam wasn’t really Joe. (he looks quite a bit like Joe from back in the day)…..
This reunion is quite a blessing to us! My 3 year old is already crazy about NKOTB. He requests to hear “Step by Step” and The “magazine song” (Cover Girl)all the time. Daddy has to stress that is mommy’s music- in daddy’s car it is Black Sabbath!
My 18 month old daughter bops all over the place when Summertime comes on!

Hi Donnie, my name is karin and i’m a mother of a beautiful (almost 2 year old) daughter. I’ve been a fan of NEW KIDS..since i was a teenager. I went to the concert when you guys went to my country INDONESIA in the early 90s.
I currently live in Maryland. I moved to the US in 95 to chase one of my dreams which is meeting the NEW KIDS..in person. When I heard that you guys are reuniting, i cried ’cause finally I have a chance to pursue my dream. I did buy the 5 star VIP Package for your show in Atlantic city, but I have to put my dream on hold. I have to move back to Indonesia because of personal reasons in early September.
Donnie, when I read your blog and u said, “.. I am coming to, and I will, FIND YOU!!! I expect to meet you, speak with you, and get some face time with as many of you as possible. That’s my word!”

I live in France and of course I hope you’ll come over here for a show in Paris. I’m 30 now and support you guys from the very beginning. Your songs have helped me to go through so many things, because of you I’ve met my bestfriend 17 years ago she now lives in LA while I’m still here in France and she sent me an email that I will never ever forget: ‘look the nkotb are back’ that was true! I’ve never had the chance to meet you, I’ve never had the chance to see you on stage.

This has nothing to do with anything you’ve wrote but I had to comment anyway. I watched “Dreamcatcher” again last night and once again your portrayal of “Duddits” brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face. I cry everytime. I’m a huge Stephen King fan and I’ve always been critical of the movies based on his books because sometimes the actors just don’t get it. You got it! Thank you for taking it so seriously and putting your heart into it. It made the movie perfect. If “Duddits” hadn’t been right the movie would’ve tanked! Instead, it’s one that fans will watch many times over and again! Of course, I own all the movies you’re in and I love them all. I hope your acting career will continue along with your musical career! You’re a huge talent and you need to keep on sharing it! Can’t wait to see you guys in St. Louis! VIP baby!

This Reunion Tour of NKOTB means everything to me. In 1990 my Dad was taking me to see them for the first time. But 2 days before the show, he was killed by a drunk driver in a car accident. This was devistating for me I was very young. Thus I was never able to see them live. Now years later I will hopefully have my chance. My only wish is to be able to personally tell at least one of the guys how special this reuinion really is to me. I can not thank them enough!

I am so thankful that you guys had the power to not take the rugged path that so many stars of your caliber have. Thank you for staying alive, out of jail and off the drugs! I’m listen to you guys latest song the website,it is very sexy. and when are you going to come up with the video for this song and why do you guys tease me with only a sample of this hot song. The beat is off the chain,it makes me want to up and dance. I really like it.Donnie I didnot know you were in dead slience. But I did see you in saw2,I didn’t take you for blood and guts type person. Any I like what you guys are doing. I wish I could see you in concert but you guys only perform during the week and I have to work during the week. the days you guys do perform you are to far away for me to travel.

Congrat’s on being #1 on VH1 for the last 2 weeks!! This just goes to show you how much we all admire your work and talent - I loved the fact that Summertime cruised up the charts to #1 as soon as it was released!!! Will the reunion tour continue into 2009, and are there plans to tour smaller cities throughout this year or next?? but today really sucked…cause i found a turtle outside and decided to name it jordie..for jordan and donnie..my freakin fav new kids…but when my dad got home he made me put him in my lake…boy did i cry :*(

I haven’t laughed so hard in a while. I emailed my husband and my dad. I made my six year old daughter watch and she just rolled her eyes. She just laughs when I play your “greatest hits” CD that my husband bought me, which is awesome considering he has always teased me about you. (I actually met you personally in Cincinnati in 1990) you came to the resturant where I worked and I got to wait on you, an unbelievable day in my life. You were and will always be my favorite NKOTB so for you to show up where I worked was beyond unbelievable. So if you do really read these, thanks for that day in 1990 and thanks for having the courage to return 14 years later.

This video is too cute! Wish I’d thought of the father daughter thing at my wedding….but I did play plenty of New Kids that night! Can’t wait to meet you in Minnesota in October! My cousin Jen and I will be there VIP! Haven’t been to a concert since 1990, so really looking forward to partying this time, now that we are all of age!! Can’t wait for the new album!

Loved the video. I have emailed all the people who knew my “Donnie Days”. I am very happy you all have had the courage to make a comeback. I want to tell you how excited I was to find out NKOTB was coming back to do a reunion tour! Summertime is just awesome, and it was so cool to see it become the #1 song after just being released - that just goes to show you how much everyone admires all the hard work and talent that makes NKOTB! As fans we all love the songs, the moves, and the down to earth personalities that each of you have…like creating a blog to communicate with us just amazes me as we all know the group dedicates so much time and energy touring and interviewing, but yet you all make time to communicate to all us fans!!! That’s why we LOVE you all!!
Do you know if the tours will continue in to 2009, and to perform at smaller venues?? I have tickets to the Philly concert and am so looking forward to going and hopefully seeing you all in person! I ask about smaller venues as I have a friend who is ill with Huntington’s Korea an uncurable disease that travels down through generations - her father also has the condition, but much later in life - the sad part is she’s 35 with a 13 year old daughter that really doesn’t know who her mother really is.. anyway my friend cannot travel long distance, due to her condition. Many years ago we went to see the group in Syracuse, NY and I am wondering if that would be a possibility again?? Of if possible to receive a signed picture of NKOTB to her! She was a huge Jordan fan, and I would love to be able to surprise her with this gift! On that note have you ever assisted in fund raising for diseases?

I just wanted to say that I was laughing so hard that I had freaking tears in my eyes! The father was hilarious! I am going to be seeing you guys in October in Cleveland and my friends and I are so f*&^#%$ excited!!!! I met Joe in 1999 and grabbed his tush and it was the best moment of my life! You guys are so down to earth and realistic like you are just normal people. You act the way everybody should act. Thanks for being so real. Love ya!!!

when are guys coming to harrisburg,Pa.Because N.Y is a little far. Philly is close but the concert is during the week and like I said in my earlier blog. I can’t miss work to go a concert. I don’t mind going to philly but not on a weekday. Please understand I’m trying to support my family. I’m not stay at home mom, I work in a factory were they build powersteer for truck like kenworth,peterbuilt.

Hi Donnie, my name is karin and i’m a mother of a beautiful (almost 2 year old) daughter. I’ve been a fan of NEW KIDS..since i was a teenager. I went to the concert when you guys went to my country INDONESIA in the early 90s.
I currently live in Maryland. I moved to the US in 95 to chase one of my dreams which is meeting the NEW KIDS..in person. When I heard that you guys are reuniting, i cried ’cause finally I have a chance to pursue my dream. I did buy the 5 star VIP Package for your show in Atlantic city, but I have to put my dream on hold. I have to move back to Indonesia because of personal reasons in early September.
Donnie, when I read your blog and u said, “.. I am coming to, and I will, FIND YOU!!! I expect to meet you, speak with you, and get some face time with as many of you as possible. That’s my word!”
I’m really hoping that you can make one of my dreams come true before i move back to Indonesia. I’m praying that u’ll read this among many othersssss…
