So Toronto was off the chain as you heard from Danny. Personally, I think we were a little more loose (if that’s possible) north of the border because we were in another country. Seems like Canada is so close, so you might not think its a big difference from the U.S. if you haven’t been there, but it is.Some of the cliches are true. Canadians are much more laid back than us. They are much less affected by all the craziness we surround ourselves with in the States. In short, I think the love flows a little easier up there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m proud to be an American, I just think we could learn something from O’ Canada.
So anyway, we had a great time at the Much Music Awards…once again it rained on our performance. I think we’re gonna start worrying if it doesn’t rain on show days now. It’s always fun to be around other bands and artists, hanging out, checking out the different vibes. Rihanna is stunn-ing. Sum 41, who are the favorite sons of Canada, wore vintage New Kids t-shirts. They saw an interview we did the day before where I said that they were gonna be our back up band because we didn’t have our band. They got the joke. Their reaction was very Canadian to me. (Wow, I think I might move there. No Sa!)
So check it…we are leaving sound check and this girl stops Jordan and says, “will you take a picture with my dog?” And Jordan obliges her. As the girl is taking the shot, she says, “Jordan, over here. Over here!” So Jordan’s like, “I’m looking.” And she says, “no, I’m talking to the dog. His name is Jordan.” AAHGADOOJH!!!! She named her dog after her fave New Kid. Not the craziest thing we’ve ever heard, but worthy of notice.
SO THEN… I’m at a party that night before the show and I meet two sisters. One points out that her sister was a huge fan of mine and so she named her hamster after me. Strange, but again at this point, we’ve kinda heard it all. But then it went over the top when I bumped into them later and the sister said, “Oh, when little Joey died, it was baaaad, real bad. She was….” And before she could go into the details of her sister’s trauma of losing her little hampster Joe, the other mortified sister cut her off abruptly and pulled her away. I wasn’t sure if she was embarrassed because she was talking about something personal or that it was kind of morbid to say I had died? Naming your pets after your favorite New Kids, is that a Toronto thing?

I work in a veterinary hospital in Toronto, and I’ll have to admit that I’ve never met a “patient” named after one of you guys, but now that you’re back we just might have some new puppies and kittens with your names…I’ll keep ya updated

My mare is supposed to have a filly next year and I´ve already started to think about aproppriate names
Unfortunately I can´t name it after one of you guys as the first letter has to be an “R” in case it a little stallion(Oh, wait!I could actually name it after Jon!) and an “I” in case of a little mare according to breeding association´s rules…
Now I am trying to find other NK related terms … ´til now I got “Right Stuff” and “Reunion Rumour”
I really hope that it´s gonna be a stallion so I refuse to think about “I” names *lol*
BTW you really could have done more songs with an “R” at the beginning of the title or “I” songs with shorter titles *lol*

I can’t say I’ve ever had anything named after me so you’re doing pretty good when you have people naming their firstborns…. dogs… etc after you I suppose heh heh. Just goes to show how much of an impact you have made on other people and for that you can feel satified that you have left a fingerprint that won’t be soon forgotten.

Joey I use to work at a breeding kennel in Mid-Michigan. I named a litter of puppies Joey, Jordan, Danny, Donnie & Jonathan. The funny thing is Joey lived with me and took a vacation to Vermont with me in 2002. He was a great dog…Golden Retriever.

Ok so with that I have to share my pet story too. Back in 1991 my family had a dog that had pupplies and of course being a huge New Kids fan I had to name the dog that I was going to keep after them right????? Well the dog I decided to keep was big, black and fluffy so I named her Biscuit. My parents of course thought I was nuts, but hat wasn’t anything new at that point in my New Kids craze so I didn’t mind. Just had to share.

Sometimes we feel like we just blend in with America, and not that there’s anything wrong with that, but we do have a strong identity on our own. I am thrilled that Toronto sold out and there 3!! shows there. I would have expected the bill sell-out concerts would have been closer to Boston, but it means a lot to us that you recognize our UNDYING LOVE OF THE NEW KIDS!!!

Joe! I have to send you a gigantic ‘thank you!’. I was at the MMVA’s in TO and I think I was floating on cloud 9 the whole time. Honestly I was in LOVE with NKOTB(you being my favorite) for so many years and actually having the opportunity to meet you was a dream…and my dream came true when I happened to bump into you!! Thank you for stopping and letting me take a picture with you.
For a second I felt like that 12 year old prepubescent girl…just waiting for the radio to play your song, so that I could hear your sexy voice…meeting you was a dream(or MANY dreams) come true. I thought after 15 years of no NKOTB, a marriage and son later I would be over the obsession, but evedently I am not.
Thanks for bringing back all the young, innocent memories!
I already have tickets to 2 of your shows in Toronto and I MIGHT just MIGHT go to the 3rd…if it makes me feel the way I did at the MMVA’s it is totally worth it!

Hey Joe..Well you were 15 years ago, and still are now, my fave New Kid. I am from Toronto and yes, it might be a Toronto thing to name our pets after celebs. It’s more of a compliment really. My pet snapping turtle was named McIntyre..I was 13 what can I say. I’m 30 now and I still miss that damn turtle! However, can’t wait to see you guys in September at the A.C.C. in Toronto. It will be my third New kids show and finally one where I am not obliged to be accompanied by an adult

Laid back lifestyle certainly sounds really great. I love living in US, too, but I think we’re trap in the rat race mentality.

Joey, you’re hilarious…I just got back from Quebec City and Montreal, and you’re right Canadians (especially Quebecois) are more laid back (I think that’s true for most European countries; Canada was founded by Europeans!).
Anyway, thank you for sharing the stories! You all must be having a blast! I haven’t named any pets after the New Kids, but I’m tempted now for the future…ha! I think you all are absolutely great! I have the reputation of bringing the rain, too. Anytime I have a party, especially outdoors, it rains! I am hoping for my 30th the rain will hold out:) I hope I get to see you soon, Joey! You’re a hoot….muah!

Joey you are too cute!! I have 7 fish tanks with about 100 different fish. If it meant getting a response or the opportunity to meet you, I would name every fish after eachof you, your children, your wives, your pets, parents, uncles, cousins, you name it, I’d do it. It just goes to show how much of an impact NKOTB has always had on their fans. The five of you together are magical. There will never be another group like NKOTB. THANK GOD YOU ARE BACK, just DON”T ever leave again. This is my daily wish.

Joe, what am I gonna do in LA at the Staples Center? I want to take my pic with you in the VIP, but I haven’t met Jordan, Donnie or Jon..but I would feel like such a trader if I don’t stand with you! LOL Especially if I can’t get one with you some where else..(ie: hotel or something) cause I don’t have VIP for Vegas.
I know I will end up by you..lol it’s just gonna happen..Cause honestly, it’s always been about you for me, I love the rest of the guys, and I love the music etc. etc. but if you had never been a New Kid..and had always been solo, I still would have been your fan! 
I have something special for Donnie though..that I’ll give him in LA, and you know I always bring you something, usually spend months on it.(Not sure if you remember the goodie bag that I gave to Eman to give to you at the Key Club in 2002 with the Starbucks card and ‘Top 25 Reasons to Love Joe Mac book’the guitar strap and other stuff.. So we went with Isaiah! I thought it would be cute because my fist one is JJ so it fit. BUT thats ok I love Isaiah. LOL! Of course people live longer. LOL! I have to admit I never thought of a pet being named ofter you guys. TO CREEPY for my taste. LOL!

Hi Joey! Thanks to all of you for your blogs. They’re a really fun way to hear your stories.
Anyhow, I’m not Canadian, but I have to confess - I named my firstborn son Jordan Nathaniel. My husband Nat obliged because he idolizes Michael Jordan, but those who know me know that Jordan was named after a New Kid. I told Jordan Knight that my son was named after him in person when I met him in San Francisco, CA in Dec 2005. I had met you in San Jose, CA in Dec 2006 and was pregnant. The following week, I found out the sex of the baby. I had a little girl, Jasmine Natylisa, but if it was another boy, it could have been Joseph or Jonathan. Yes, I love you guys that much!!
My kids LOVE the new song and video. My 1-year-old daughter gets this silly smile and starts bopping her head to the beat. It’s too cute!
I can’t wait to see you in San Jose on October 10.

It might be a Canadian thing. I grew up in Oregon and I never named any pets after any of the New Kids. I never liked human names for animals.
The exception to this is that several years ago, my best friend purchased what she was told were two male gerbils. Turned out they were both female and both pregnant. She wound up with 13 gerbils and gave me the four males, who I named John, Paul, George and Ringo.

Well, Mr. Joe, you made this hot, humid, sizzlin’ So. GA. day a little bit lighter. Seriously, you do have a fantastic personality and you do make me smile. Love it! I’ve never named a pet after any of you - but (kinda embarrassed to tell this-but hey) I do use (You Got it) The Right Stuff to help encourage my child to potty train. In response to your question about naming your pet after your fav New Kid and if it is a Toronto thing, NO! My family had a kennel where we put dogs in the dog shows etc, we had a litter of Keeshounds. They went very quickly to show homes except the smallest male, I asked if I could keep him and was allowed. His show name on the pedigree was “EASTLIN’S NEW KID ON THE BLOCK” and his home name was “Joey”. He may have been the smallest of the litter but he went on to beat out his litter mates in the ring and even took a BEST IN SHOW! Reminds me of someone elses story!
I’m soo happy you guys are coming to Canada!!! To tell you how VERY HAPPY I am, I cancelled my trip to Scotland! To everyone who knows me thats a huge deal! There is something about a highlander in a kilt!! Anyways, they don’t compare to seeing you! My best friend and I are flying from Nova Scotia and going to the Sept 21 concert in Toronto where we have a 5 STAR VIP package, but before we got those we had bought tickets in Boston so we will drive to Boston for the Sept 28th concert. When we see you and Donnie in Toronto we have a special gift for you guys “Nova Scotian” style!

But I must say when I met Danny I froze !! He was my favorite one … and still is … no offense Joe … he have that special something to me … all I could do is holding my mountain dew bottle and froze and being speechless… i just couldn’t figure it out that the guys i saw on stage via a giant screen was at 10 feet from me …. when i finally got the courage to go towards him his friends arrive and then I left. Its been 10 years ago and I remember like it was yesterday… I regret that so much. Tell danny he owes me a picture lol !

Hi Joey. Thanks for blogging. Its really cool to hear your thoughts on things. I must be one of the only guys on here so far. lol I don’t mind. I grew up listening to you guys when I was like 12 or 13. You guys made so many classic tunes….timeless really.
Anyway, yeah , thanks for coming to T.O. I live just outside of the city and couldn’t make it to the show, but I love the Much Music Video Awards. You get to see all the bands from the street even if you don’t snag a wristband for access. I saw your performance on YouTube and I must say, you guys did great and looked very good up there. lol, how funny is that, but… i did it to!!! i called my hampster Jordan
but i was smart lol i got him a girl hampster and called her Sally and they had 13 babies awwwww, but i had to put poor Jordan in a different cage or he would eat all the babies……it gets worse lol he got out and next doors cats killed him 
i was sooooooo upset i done him a funeral ( bearing in mind i was about 11 when this happened) i wrote on his box… lol “dust to dust, ashes to ashes, in my bath tub jordan splashes” lol i couldnt think of anything else to ryme with ashes lol

Hahahaha I am loving this blog post. This reminds me of the good old days on joeymcintyre.com with your blogs from the road (I’m still waiting on some new video blogs from all five of you!). I never named any pets after you guys but I did have the JOEYMAC license plate. Nicknamed my car after you too (”The Joe Mac Mobile”). My new truck is currently free of any NKOTB references, but if you guys put out a bumper sticker or window decal, watch out. I will have to rock that on the road here in Michigan.
As you can see… the craziness is not only in Canada. lol

There has been alot of talk about you guys reuniting and touring, please don’t forget about your fans in Saskatchewan. It would be so awesome if you guys came back to Saskatoon, SK.. I was there for the concert when you guys were there and that was Nov. 3, 1990. I still remember that because that was my only concert I got to see you.. And I was 11.
So it would be awesome if you guys did make a tour date for Saskatoon.. Hoping anyways.. .

This blog had me laughing so hard I was crying! I will never tell anyone what I named one of my hamsters…but, my son does carry around a middle name that he’ll never be able to shake. I guess I should never tell him why! LMAO!
I am glad you guys are having fun with this thing so far! I only hope it just keeps getting better and better. Thank you for the blog. It really was great to read. 
Canada is wonderful! I have friends there and used to cross that border all the time when I lived closer cause, well, legal drinking age!

OMG!! That is so hilarious and it’s so not just a “Toronto thing”!! That’s a “blockhead thang”!! I named my pets after you guys!! My siamese cat was named Jordan because he was always so mysterious about what he was up to. I had another cat named Joey-Joe because he was so mischievious!! I also had a sharpei like Jon did, and I gave him the same name he gave his dog. Ahhhh those were the days!! OMG the poor hamster lmao!! Thanks for giving me such a great laugh today. I needed it. Today’s my birthday and I had exams all day and so it was not a great day!! Plus I’m getting so old!! I just turned 34 and I will not admit it to anyone else lol. Well I can honestly say that I have never named a pet after you. You were, however, my make believe husband. No one ever came close to you. I had you plastered all over my room, and there has never been anyone like you since. I was 13 when we moved from New York to Oregon, and sad to say, none of my pictures of you survived. Except, of course, the framed ones. However, those were soon shattered by my brothers head when he and my other brother were wrestling, in my room!!! I was devestated. But, alas, I still had my Hangin’ Tough, and Step by Step video tapes. And my fan book. And some of the trading cards. And the bedding. I no longer have any of that, except my video’s. Which I cherish just about more than anything else that I own. It has been MY dream since I was about 10 years old to actually get to see you live. And I finally will. I cannot even begin to thank you all enough for getting back together. This is seriously so huge to me. I am happily married now, after about 10 years I realized that I never was actually going to get the chance to marry you, and we have a beautiful 8 year old daughter. She knows all of you by face, and has since she was about 4. She was almost as excited as I was when the reunion rumors began floating around. She won’t be coming with me to the concert, this is too much MY dream to bring her. Thank you soo soo much for making my dream a reality. I will see you in Portland, OR! Can’t wait!!!!

I wasn’t quite old enough to name my pets after my favourite New Kids back in the day. In 1991 I was six years old and grappling with boys vs. cooties and naming my pets fluffy and/or sparky. Now that I’m twenty-three, I’m old enough to know better and not be a complete creeper. Fluffy is a classic, come on!
After your visit to Toronto, in your wake, you’ve left us with a weeks worth of rain. Thanks for the show & the frizzy hair. I look forward to seeing you guys Sept 19th @ the ACC.

That is too funny, my friend emailed me on facebook to tell me that she thinks you were talking about my dog Jordan on here. Sure enough you were. I was working that night (in the Citytv newsroom) and when I was leaving. I was watching you guys rehearse. I first got Jordan’s pic taken with Johnathan and then Jordan, they were both very sweet to do that. I was leaving to go home the same time you guys were headed for your limo. It might have been you but I’m not sure who said “did you know Jessica Simpson named her dog Jordan too?” LOL I thought that was hilarious. I actually was a huge fan of you guys back in the day and still think you guys are great (I’m your age now) but, I actually named him after another popular Jordan…Michael Jordan even though he’s a white fluffy dog

Joe, you are such a nut, LOL. All kinds of animals, & of course, children have been named after you guys & not just in Canada. There are both boys & girls named Jordan. Personally I like it best as a male name.
I’m surprised you think Canadian fans are more laid back considering the thread about you guys going out to a club there & the fans went so crazy that Jon left. They were worried you might cancel the tour being afraid of the crazy fan behavior..which I thought was worrying too much. I think you’ve seen it all & age hasn’t calmed a lot of fans down & I doubt that’d surprise you. So you can see why I’m so surprised by your blog.I think you are in love with travel. I remember back in the day you saying how slim the European fans are compared to us US fans (shame on you! LOL )…You need to appreciate your home grown fans more or we’re going to think you don’t value us much. WE love you & if some fans go overboard, it’s just that they care so much. I think I was 13 too! Now our husbands are looking at us like we are crazy because we are neglecting dinner on the stove and replaying a you tube video 13 times while the kids need our attention! Summertime just got more interesting. At 13 we never thought it could get better. And now they are all grown up and appealing to a group of gals with the buying power in a day and age when they’re showing alot more skin on MTV… I mean VH1… they don’t play videos on MTV anymore.

I am so excited for your tour! I was hopelessly in love with you in 5th grade but my parents could not afford to send me to your Alpine Valley (WI) show and I was heartbroken as only a 5th grade girl can be. Going to your show in Philly in Nov (with a large group of fellow law students who loved NKOTB back in the day) will bring back so many memories and make me feel like a silly little girl again. When he started the first day I mentioned to him his familiar name to me and can you believe he had never heard of the New Kids or that he shared Joey’s name?!? I thought he must be kidding, but no way. So of course I filled him in, revealing my overwehlming devotion as a blockhead. I named a hamster Donnie when I was 10. My grandmother took him to her school for a week and he ran away. Wild bad hamster.
I would like to think that after hitching hiking for months, he’s out in L.A., living the hamster dream. He’s trying to get into acting but nobody will take him seriously because he’s just a model for hamster magazines and food packaging.

That is so hilarious Joe! When we were younger, me and my sister got two kittens. She named hers Jordan and I named mine Joey Joe. Mine lived longer and is still my favorite pet to this day!! I am so deeply excited about your comeback. I have always been a loyal fan, and I can’t wait to see you in Texas!! I’ll be at the Houston and San Antonio shows.

Funny story from old school NKOTB time:
My friend and I used to go to the beach and when we met horrifying guys we did not want to hang with or know our names, we would call each other Joe (I was Joe because I love Joe) and Jordan (Beth was Jordan, you can figure the reason). So these guys would see us later and try to get our attention by yelling “Hey Joe and Jordan, can we buy you drinks?” Of course we would ignore them. Anyway, I look forward to seeing how nicely you guys have grown.

I can’t wait to meet all of you on the 18th!! I dunno if it is a toronto thing, we personally named our turtle after a tmnt…but u kno…it sort of fits.
I’ll tell you a funny story though if you want strange things to talk about.
I couldn’t make it to the mmva’s. It was the weekend of my sisters wedding… and I was already emotionally drained. Anyhow, when you guys came on… I called up my dad, who lives in Stratford now… and while you were performing I pretended like I was there, singing all the words screaming, jumping around, you know like I was a little kid all over again…mhm. No lie. Mind you I am a tad strange. But I promise I won’t act like a babbling fool, and I won’t get over emotional. I am 20 now, I ‘have’ to be an adult about it *rolls eyes*… but I will be taking loads of pictures. =)

no, the craziness is not only in canada. i can’t remember personally ever naming a pet after any nk’s, but i do remember a friend of mine had a cocker spaniel which had puppies. each and every one of those puppies had a nkotb related name. another friend had bought one of the pups - appropriately named after her fave “kid” - YOU. however it was a girl and named “josephine”.

Hey Joe! You were fabulous on the MMVA! Happy Belated Father’s Day and thank you for giving up your time with your family to bring us some awesome entertainment. It was quit the storm that Toronto had that night (the sky became so black at one point!).
I’m sitting here laughing hysterically at myself ’cause when I was a teenager, my hamsters name was Joey. Ya, kinda crazy! And I’m not a Toronto girl. LOL.
What is even crazier is that my five year old is involved in all this hype. My five year and two year old daughters love Step By Step and want to listen to it all the time. The video requests are for NKOTB aswell. If they only knew all the footage I have on VHS…tapes and tapes worth!

Ive gotta say, this is pretty awesome. I became a huge NKOTB fan when I was 14, and now here I am, 32 yrs old and still love you guys! It sure is quite something to enjoy your music now (comparative to years ago). Ya’ll still put a smile on my face, a tap in my feet, and a warmth in my soul. Thats never going to change!

I can hardly wait until all of you come to St.Louis, I know you’ve said the most often thing you hear is “you were my first concert” and that’s the truth for me as well, but for me you were my only concert as well. I am counting the days until November!! You and the rest of the Kids and your music is some the of the best memories that I have from my childhood. I am so excited for the journey that you are all taking and am thankful for the small part that I am going to have in it!

One summer I also spent looking for anything Jordan related & took pics. I even found Jordan wine and a place in Ontario called Jordan.

I can remember seeing you guys when I was 13 years old iat Alpin Valley in Wi. I was so excited because I got the tickets as a birthday present from my mom. I still have many of my buttons and your music that I had on tapes(GASP!) I even bought Jordan’s solo album after that which I loved. I think it is really great that you guys are reuniting, and now that I am 31, I still hope to get the chance to see you when you come back to WI.

Ok, those stories made me laugh out loud! I bet you do hear a lot of crazy things. I do too, as a Kindergarten teacher anyways. The kids name their pets after me all the time!

Your fans are quite intense…I was at the Fluid party and was pinned against the back wall when you guys came in. I’ve never seen so many girls thow elbows before!

yeah, it’s not a toronto thing! i named my bird Jordan. one of our other birds was named Joe. my 4 year old brother named him and to this day (he’s 25 now) we tease him about it. he just wanted to be like his big sisters! then my sister named a dog we had nikko. lol we were crazy!

the concert at mm awards sounded so not very good, was there a problem with mic sound or something? i don´t know what happened there but i didn´t like what i herd, i loved the remix and your moves but something happend to the sound i hope you can do better next time i can hear you live.

Ok so I never named any pets after you guys, however in my own dorkiness, and I totally cannot even believe that I am going to admit this, but when i was younger, much younger, I used to listen to Please dont go Girl over and over and over, just to hear your voice, and most times this is how I fell alseep, every once in a while I would cry, because I knew the chances of ever meeting you were slim to none, and I had my heart set on marrying you..Well that didnt work out…lol. Dont worry I got over that and am now very happily married with two kids. So that fantasy is over, but I still love ya. Then ofcourse like most girls my wallpaper consisted of NKOTB posters, much to my brothers disgust as we had to share a room…lol Anyways
enough of me admiting embarassing things. Cant wait to see ya guys in Tacoma in November.

That’s good, you know what’s crazier, get this my ex (note ex) was so jealous of how much I liked you guys that he made me throw out my NKOTB stuff (after we were married), what he didn’t know that my sister came up and got it for me out of the trash. I went through it and kept Donnie’s Bandana and one of his peace symbols, auto’s, pic’s you know the memories of one of the best weekends of my life, and opened my first safety deposit box just for all that and now more of course. I wish I could get tickets to the ACC show. I wish you were playing at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan again. My two NKOTB concerts were there and is easily accessible now.. I’m going to try for ACC though. I’m going to drag my sister, we’re going to sing at the top of our lungs and have a blast.

My sis and I had fish when were younger, I had a beta named Jonathan and my sis had a beta named joey and a catfish named Jordan. Needless to say, my sis forgot to feed them and well..Jordan was the stronger one of the fighting fish. I had to give Jonathan away when we moved from the Cape to Chi-town.

So funny, when I was like 11 I was in love with NKOTB. My little brothers caught some tadpoles and frogs out in the country. I claimed one of those little tadpoles and named him “Joey”. I had him in a little container in our yard behind the hedges. I went for a bike ride, and when I came back, little Joey was gone! Some girl in our neighborhood had a homemade pond. Apparently she came and took my little Joey tadpole and put him in her pond. I was devestated because I never saw him again. For real. Anyways, man I wish you guys would come to SASKATOON SK!! Anywhere in Saskatchewan for that matter; we’ve got Elton John coming 3 times in a few months! All the major acts come here; show us prairie girl some love!!

No, Joe, it is NOT a Toronto thing! It is a Love thing! Yeah, back in the day I also named my beloved cat “McIntyre”. His full name on his paperwork was Joseph Mulrey McIntyre II, but we called him “Mac” for short. LOVED that cat! SOOO sad when he passed away! Oh, and did I mention he died in like 1994? I think my whole world died around then anyway.:) A better devotion-fact to mention is that when I got married in 1999 I walked down the isle to a piano solo of “I’ll be loving you forever”. Now THAT is love! I couldn’t give my love away without the definition of love! I love you guys SOOO much!

The MMVA’s were awesome, and it only makes the wait for September seem that much further away!

I can’t say that I ever named my pets, or my kids after any of you, BUT, I had a friend in 8th grade, His real name was Joseph. Everyone called him Joey, except for me. I called him “JoeyMack” LOL. So, I guess that means I am guilty of “renaming” a friend after you? HAHA! Geeez, that’s so embarrassing!
I agree with you about Canada, and Canadians. Very laid back country! My fiance is Canadian. I LOVE it there. I’m actually packing now for my trip, I leave July 5th, YAY! Too bad that yall don’t have any concerts scheduled during the time that I will be there, they are all after I leave.

I think that that’s not only happening in Toronto Joe; I guess here in Holland/Europe that’ll be the same. Also a lot of children from the ages of 0-15 suddenly appeared to have the names or names like Joey, Jordan, Jonathan, Danny and Donnie which never used to be common names here in Europe. Since I get to travel a lot around the world for 10 years already (because of my work), I share the same opinion about Canada as you Joe. People are a lot more laid back there than in the US, the down to earth way is more what we are used to here in Europe as well (esp. northern Europe). But, nevertheless, the US way has their charmes as well. Me and some dutch friends will be going to the show in Toronto at September 18th, but ofcourse we are also looking forward to see you guys here in Holland!! Please check our dutch NKOTB-site http://nkotb.hyves.nl/ (=like myspace, but more popular here) and sign in! Over 600 dutch fans are waiting for you here guys!! Just imagine.. 600 have signed up on that forum, just imagine how many are out there who have not even subscribed but are also here waiting for you! A question what keeps us busy is.. Once the New Kids disappeared from my life I was left to find someone else to adore and although I’m a music freakshow Ellen Degenerous filed the NKOTB void. My male dog Ryder refused the named Ellen so I had to hyphenate with the LOST love of my life - Joey Mac. So, Ryder-Joe it is (sounds kinda hick but I’m Canadian)

I was seriously the most insane out of control fan, I seriously thought (in my teens) I was born to marry him. I mean why else would I be put on this earth, it all made sense that way.

Thanks for the blog! I never named any of my pets after you, but I must say that Ken was never good enough for Barbie. Joey was though! lol! I am just so excited to have you all back on tour. I was too young to see you all in concert in Louisville, KY way back when. So I can’t wait to see you all in concert! My friend and I are traveling to St. Louis to see you! It will be a great road trip and a great concert I’m sure! Do you think you all will be adding any more locations because we would love to see you all more locally too! I hope we get to see you out and about at the clubs too, but I promise that if I run into it wont be about anything morbid.

Second, no, I don’t think it’s just a Toronto thing. I named my cat Donnie when I was 14! The cat was even a female cat, but I just had to name her Donnie! She has since passed away, but that was the best cat I’ve ever had!

Hey Joey…..the name is Jess if ya wondering……havent seen ya in concert yet but am going to. Is pretty much the talk out here in Texas. So 21 Years ago, When My family and I lived in Ca, I my sister got me interested in yall. My sister and I are like 7 years apart, so she was a teen and i was still a little kid so yeah. Had a major crush on you (you were my first celebraty crush) while Misty (my sister) had a major Crush on Donnie, and my step sister crushed on Jordan, so we were all set. Didnt have any pets that we named after yall, (at least me and misty didnt, dunno bout Michele), though we had 2 of the hangin tough videos and 2 of the video where danny says that you have to at least try new stuff to eat, yall were in vegas at the nugget thing…..well ne ways, My friends that were fans of ya and i used to play this game where we were like your groupie, but instead of being a groupie, we were your girlfriends, and yall would take us with you, though one of my friends liked you too, so we made you a twin and pretended that the twin and you would switch concerts and all (weird i know). We would watch one of the tapes and pretend that we were on stage with you and dancing with yall. The day my sister introduced me to yall, she had me go in her room, to see her walls which were covered w/ new kids posters, had yall playing, asked me what i thought, and who i thought was cute. I remember that i really liked the music, and i pointed to your picture and said him.
The day i found out you were going to be in Ca for a concert and Misty and Michele were going and i couldnt go, i practically threw a fit…..real crocadile tears and everything………20 years later, yall are playing in Dallas, Texas, in October, and I finally get to got……and dispite the fact that i couldnt go with misty and michele, I am taking Misty, For shes the only other (besides Kristi and Katie who are seeing yall in san antonio)New kids fan from 20 years ago…..and I cant wait……If ya want, I have a myspace page you can look at…….display name is “im the superman freak that you Love”

I actually think naming your pets after your fave NKOTB fan is the next best thing to having a hubby or child named after one of you guys! It’s limiting the dating pool dating/marrying only a DONNIE, DANNY, JORDAN, JON, or JOE. (Although, I’m pretty close having married a Yousuf which is JOSEPH in Arabic.) And of course when naming a child, the spouse would have to concur. So pets are our beloved, loyal furry friends who can bring an owner such joy–why not!? I rescue animals on the side and I have a colony of 5 outdoor cats that I take care of and I named them after you guys.There are 2 brothers amongst them which I of course named JORDAN and JON. okay so about the hamster named Joey…. well, I have to admit when i was a kid I had a Gerbil that I named Jordan. I think when you are a kid you just want to feel like you have some…. connection to those you admire and have a crush on! I definitely agree that sometimes we take for granted our wonderful friends to the north of us; especially for those of us who live on the border to canada and go frequently to visit family or for vacation. As for my family, my mom is originally from Canada and moved here when she was 12. Now we live here in a small town in northern NY, yes to those of you out there that may not know, there is more of NY north of Syracuse. We live in a town that is on the ST.Lawrence River and it isn’t such a bad place to live. We can see our Canadian neighbors (neighbours) and can travel there in the time it takes to go across the bridge, so I can’t wait to see you guys in Toronto!

No, I never named anything, but I did try to celebrate your birthday one year with a cake and your favorite drink (can’t remember now what it was) and my best friend and I used to fight over who would sleep next to the poster of you I had by my bed when she spent the night at my house. Probably no where near the craziest thing anyone’s done, but we still get a good laugh at it. Now make my dream come true and give me a HUGE hug Nov. 2nd in Tampa! I would have loved to have met Donnie also , but I know he was unable to be there. Joe - it’s not a Toronto thing, it’s a New Kids fan thing. When I was 14 my father’s cat had 6 kittens…and I’m sure you know 5 of their names (the 6th was Maurice). Dad gave Maurice, Joey, Jordan, Danny and Jon away, but kept Donnie. and to my despair renamed Donnie (I refused to refer to the cat by his new name). Unfortunately many years later Donnie got hit by a car. Sad, very sad. My friend Sabrina named her beta fish Joey…so, yeah, it’s a New Kids fan thing…

I do have to add a “THANK YOU” to all of you for reuniting. But for the most important part, you all remained true to who you were back when we were young. The same morals and values you portrayed back then, are still with you, even more now that most of you all have families of your own, and experiences these last 15 years that matured you all into very responsible and respectful, STILL SEXY AND OH SO HOT!!!!! I was very much a wreck during those years, as everyone i am sure has gone through and experienced, but as I see all the comments left by women like myself, whom literally grew up with you guys on our radios, you will never understand the positive impact of positive support, that I can say, was a blessing, that you guys represented. It was a joy walking with you guys during your career, without the specific knowledge that it was you all that made women our age, who we are today. Take a bow guys!! Whether you want to admit it or not, you all, in some way, added that last piece of the puzzle in making life just a little bit easier..The best part, is now I can relive those fabulous days, and share your music, influence, and positive drug free lives with my 5 year old daughter. It is so nice to know that she does have the positive role models that we all kept dear to our heart for life.(cause these artists today, are idiots!!…..FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, THANK YOU!!!!!

Hmm … that is funny … but I hope we don’t have a bunch of animals running around with your names … thats too funny … but at least you can see the devotion to the New Kids on the Block is strong here … I have to say that the reunion of the group came at a perfect time in my life … after going through a seperation and having the New Kids reunite, really reminded me of when I was in highschool, with no worries, no stress, they were good times, and I think that is what you have brought back for alot of fans … it was a time in my life whan I was happy and really enjoying and discovering life. Iam so freaking excited to see you in concert in oct, i been waiting my whole life for this!!! I was so young when you guys came out the first time, but i seriously think iwas the biggest fan!! Hey Joey. Wazuuuuuuuppp! U know, this blog makes me so happy. I can finally talk to you without imagining it. I have a little funny story of my own, too. Back in the 90’s, when I was like 16 years old, I did’t have a pet of my own to name it after you, but I used to keep a journal. I wrote in that journal everything about what I was doing and everything that happened to me in high-school, day by day. And everythhing I wrote was adressed to you. I always began with ”Dear Joe” and end my story with ”Bye Joe, I love you 4ever”. Those were good times, with no worries in the world, except of course catching the latest videos of NKOTB on MTV. I still have that journal so, if you’re interested, come in Romania and see for yourself.
I LOVE what you’re doing on stage you and the other boys together. Keep up the good work.
I still have faith in seeing one of your shows live. After all these years… if you won’t come here, I will come after you in one of your concerts in Europe. See you there :-*

I gotta say this whole reunion thing is pretty trippy…I can’t imagine what it’s like on your side! I won’t be able to catch your show this time around (FROWN!!!), but you aren’t coming close enough to Albany, NY. I hate this whole adult thing of having to worry about gas prices, right?!?! Back in the day I would just hop in the car (I guess I should say my mom’s car LOL) and go to Mohegan Sun to catch you. ARGH!
