GROUP WILL PERFORM LIVE FOR FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS ON NBC’s ‘TODAY’ SHOW
IN A SPECIAL SUMMER CONCERT ON MAY 16
Following the media sensation that revealed their official reunion, NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK will release their first new music on MAY 13, the single “Summertime,” which will be available digitally on iTunes and anywhere music is sold digitally. The band will also return to the world stage, announcing the first set of concert dates for their tour today. The first shows include stops in New York, New Jersey, Montreal, Toronto, Providence and Chicago. The tour is being produced by Live Nation. A full listing of show dates and venues are below, additional tour markets will be released shortly. Tickets will be available beginning May 10th on www.livenation.com
Fans will get a sneak peak of the concerts with the group’s first public performance together in 15 years live on NBC’s ‘TODAY’ Show on May 16. The reunion of all five members of the famed 90s group that sold millions of albums and sparked a worldwide phenomenon was enthusiastically embraced by screaming fans for band members: Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood and Jordan and Jonathan Knight.
The group split in 1994, but has recently reunited in the recording studio to create new music, working in partnership with a new record label, Interscope Records, and a cadre of world class music producers. The guys have been hard at work writing and recording for an expected new album in Fall 2008.

Hi guys!! Even though none of the tour dates are for so cal YET…I am soo excited!! I’m looking forward to the 13th when, hopefully, I can log on to Rhapsody and download “Summertime.”
I have to add my voice to Pao’s comment. Based on my experience, I know that it’s not general practice to consider those that use wheelchairs in VIP packages but PLEASE be the first :-).
Your current shows don’t effect me yet but I’m sure you have a few fans who need the wheelchair accessible sections at the venues and would also like to purchase the VIP packages.
Can’t wait to see more dates added!!

I am so glad “summertime” will be the first single, it will be perfect for this summer! Exactly TODAY 17 years ago, May 1rst 1991, I went to my first ever concert! It was New Kids on the Block in Munich.I know you will be coming to Germany, because Jon said so on German TV. Looking more than forward to it! Can you come to Munich or anywhere in the south of Germany like Stuttgart, Nürnberg.. That would be great!

I am so unbelievably excited about this tour!! My nerves are so frayed from getting bits of info then waiting for each element to unfold.
I’m hoping I’ll be lucky enough to get tickets cos I’m going to head over from the UK if I do!!

My best friend and I are very thrilled about this new tour! What an exciting time for us to relive our “youth”
She moved away and lives in Kansas City, and I am in Ontario (about 1 hr from Detroit and 3 hrs from Toronto). We used to see the New Kids in Detroit and Toronto back in the day.
We are thrilled to be hookin’ up and meeting halfway in Chicago for the October 4th show!!! It’ll bring back sweet memories and we’ll be able to make some new ones!!!!!!!
We’re both turning 38 this year…so we were some of the older fans back in the day, and took a lotta flack for it, but did we let it get us down, HECK NO! We’re proud to be fans, always and forever!

I’m really looking forward to seeing you guys in concert. I’m hoping that your tour will be coming to San Antonio, Texas. I would really love the opportunity to meet Jonathan since I myself have also dealt with anxiety/panic attacks since 1999, however I credit God for helping me through this long and difficult journey. I am happy to say that I now have my life back and I believe that Jonathan is a great example for those who struggle with Anxiety, that there is life after severe anxiety. Thanks, Johnathan!!!!!!! I’d also like to add my concern about wheelchair accessible seating for the VIP. I was told they can accommodate me by putting me at the end of an aisle because I am able to move from my wheelchair to a regular seat. However, because I can’t stand for more than a very short time w/o support (meaning a sturdy wall, piece of furniture…, not a walker) as soon as anyone stands in front of me, I can no longer see. So, although I may be near the front, most of the show will be out of my view. Please help your disabled fans to be able to have the same experience as your other fans. I’m looking forward to Chicago!

WHAT ABOUT VANCOUVER CANADA!!!!! I would love to just get on a plane and jet off to Toronto or Montreal but I have 3 kids and can’t do it. I am hoping there will be more dates announced soon. Gentleman, you have no idea how excited I am about these upcoming concerts. I’ve already secured seats for, Zootopia, IZOD, and 5*VIP for Nassau. I’ll also be there for the Today Show next week. I’m dragging my husband with me to Zootopia, but that’s where the buck stops with him (he can only stand to hear me scream over other men so much.) I am soooooo Psyched!!! Look for my sign at the Today Show, “Lesly007 loves NKOTB.” I’ve been a fan since 13 years old and now at 31, I never thought those butterflies would still be there, but they are and they were when I met you all at the Today show on 4/4/08.
