I want to start off by saying I am so thankful and feel blessed to have this opportunity again. I feel like I have won the lottery twice. We finally have the chance to give all you guys what you have always deserved. I am also so excited to be able to share this experience with my kids. My children can finally see what everyone has been talking about over the years. To them I am just Pops; they are all very excited. It is also great to reconnect with the guys and share in this amazing ride. You guys have been so supportive over the years with everything we have done individually, I hope this is a way we can repay all of your efforts.
Love

Hi
Its great news so welcome back and I sincerely hope you guys make it over to the UK! We are waiting! Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy!
April 7th, 2008 at 3:41 am
I guess sometimes it pays to be up till 3 AM (even though I have to be up in 5 hrs
). I smile when I read you talking about repaying us. You and the other guys have given us so much that we should owe you. I had hoped for this day for the past 14 yrs but I also knew that you had all went in different directions and moved on so my hopes were never too high. I think this time has even been more exciting because the Internet has played such a huge part in the fans gathering together.
That is a cool thing to hear that your kids are excited. Do they think that all your fans are nuts? :-).
I am soo glad that you guys have created new music and I hope against hope that I will get to see you all on tour this time as I’ve nver seen you guys perform live. My 30th birthday was on Easter and I have to say this is the best belated birthday I’ve had in a LONG time!
OK, i’m sure I’ve forgot something but sleep finally calls. Thank you for posting an entry, Danny. Take care of yourself!.
P.S. Tell Donnie that it’s his turn!! LOL.

Well, thank you, seriously, for, well, everything. I really think that what you five have done, both collectively, and individually, has really helped shape parts of our generation.
The generosity you all show, in the ways that you’ve always given of yourselves to us, is a pretty wonderful thing, and I’m very pleased to see you all together again.
My biggest hope for the five of you is that this whole ride will prove to be as much fun for you all as it will be for us.

Thank you Danny for posting that lovely message. I know everyone else will agree with me when I say that we too felt like we have won the lottery twice when we all heard then news you guys were getting back together! I honestly can’t tell you how much it means to us all - we’re all behind you every step of the way just like we always were and we can’t wait to hear the new music and see you on tour again (please please please come to England!!!). You’ve all meant so much to so many people throughout the years - we’ve all grown up together and you helped me through my teenage years and because of you guys I’ve met my life long best friends and even in a round about way met my husband because of you! We owe you as much as you owe us and we’re all in this together.
Thanks again Danny - I can’t tell you how much the return of NKOTB means!!

I was doing my usual Job posting and saw a blip on tv about the groups reunion. I had to check out your site. It has a cool and fresh look.
I got to thinking why after so many years, so many new songs, so many new groups do the New Kids still ring true to me. Yeah, talent, brotherhood, love for what you do, all of that is real. But for me, my link was to the music and the idea of friendship, you were there when I clicked the player on. When you were introduced to me, I was a child.
Your music soon had me escaping to a dream, of friendship and hope. Your positive energy was important to me, and helped in many ways that is beyond thought. I know as a fan I apreciate the chance to enjoy that same feeling again. I know that your fans are important to you, but I belive that you all owe us nothing. You have already given us a piece of your talent, we are all but lucky to be blessed by the perserverance and sacrfice it takes to do what makes you and your fans happy.
Best of Luck for the Best in Life!

What a lovely message! We are also thankful and feel blessed to have you all back!
Like Katherine, I too have been hoping for this day for many years, but as time passed, hopes faded. But now it feels like the perfect time, precisely because everyone has grown up and evolved. (Although I have recently been feeling like I haven’t grown up as much as I thought I had!!)
I’m really looking forward to the new material, if ‘Click Click Click’ and ‘Summertime’ are anything to go by, looks like we’re in for a treat!
Hope to see you guys in the UK!
Take care,
Sonia xx

I am sure this is how most of us feel!!! We have been waiting for this for what seems like forever and it was so worth the wait….(this is a blog from my myspace)
I sit here at my computer searching for any news releases regarding the upcoming album release and Fall tour of my favorite childhood reunited band New Kids On The Block. It’s crazy, but I feel like a 12 year old girl all over again with her larger than life crush on 5 dreamy teenage heart throbs from Boston, Massachusetts. Though I never forgot them, I did go on with life after the band dismantled in 1994.
Life went on and I eventually met more attainable guys, settled down, got married, and had 4 children of my own. I am now the 31 year old mother of 3 daughters and one son and am married to the most amazing man I have ever known. This year I got to experience first hand what my mother endured concert after concert 20 years ago. My oldest daughter is 12 and crazy about the Jonas Brothers. In March, my wonderful husband and I took her to their concert here in Dallas. The teenage girls came in droves and it was shear pandamonium as they took the stage. I think my husband was blown away by the lung capacity of hundreds of screaming girls. At one point I believe he asked me how I could handle it. I just smiled and said, I used to be one of them…and I was. After the concert was over, and we were driving home I caught myself saying the things my mother said like, ” You know, they were pretty good.” and “They are really some good looking kids.” That’s when my mind wandered back to my childhood and I thought, how awesome it would be to see the New Kids On The Block reunite….
I had heard rumors for months that it might happen and had hoped that it would for years. Every time one of the guys showed up somewhere, like Donnie in the movies, or Joe on Dancing with the Stars, Jordan with his Solo Album, and Danny and his, I would get so excited. With the invention of the internet and MySpace, I learned to search for information. It was nice to be able to reconnect in a way to my childhood, and it helped me to hold onto the possibility that this reunion might really happen someday….
On April 4, 2008 on the Today show, I regressed back into that preteen girl I was 20 year ago all over again. The anticipation was killing me…I kept waiting for some announcement, to see their faces again….it was crazy how giddy I felt. Finally that curtain dropped and I found myself grinning from ear to ear as those 5 boys from Boston emerged as 5 fully grown men. I couldn’t pry myself away from the television set..and have since had to watch it again several times over, (thank goodness for TiVO). Though they were noticibly older and more mature, I still caught a glimpse of each of them as those teenage boys that stole my heart all those years ago. After the show I found my old buttons, tour books, pillow case, and T-shirts, and have since reordered the albums I had lost…I look forward to the announcement of the tour dates and hope that they make Dallas one of their stops. My best friend of 24 years and I have decided that if they do stop through Dallas, we’re there!!! (Not to mention the fact that I have the most supportive husband that said he would go to so that I can have that “moment.” And so he could share that moment with me.) I cannot wait for the new album to come out. I check the “Kids’” website every day for any new information.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my life. I love my family! My beautiful children. My amazing husband who believes in, trusts, and loves me with all his heart, And all of the other wonderful people that surround me. But I am looking forward to that one night that even if only for a few hours, I can go back to a simpler time and place and be that little girl who’s whole world revolved around those 5 boys; Jordan, Donnie, Joey, Danny, and Jon…and just enjoy the innocence of that moment one more time.

We the fans are truly blessed to have all of you back together again, something I have waited a long time to see happen. When I heard the news, it immediately took me on a wonderful trip down memory lane, the concerts, the music, everything. With all of the negative things going on in this world today, having you guys back together, the new album and concert tour will definitely bring about many positive things.
Love you guys always,

All I can say is thank you so much! As a die hard fan I always held on, knowing that someday we would get the opportunity to make another round with this, and that day has finally arrived. We are pumped up and ready for the ride again! Thanks so much, the years in the past of concerts provided me with some of the best memories of my life and gave me an opportunity to build friendships and bonds with all the awesome people I met along the way. As fans we already owe you that, thank you so much for giving us an opportunity to do it again and to reconnect with the people we lost touch with over the pasy few years!

Your new music sounds awesome - I love CLICK CLICK CLICK!! I played it for my husband he said “Im surprised by how much I like it”…. I think your new music is going to bring a whole new fan base to the table instead of us little groupies

Hi Danny… and thanks for the message! Friday was the BEST DAY EVER seeing all five of you together again! Even after 20 years, I am so excited about this reunion. I can’t wait to see more of you guys and most of all, hear some great new music. Thanks for making your fans’ dreams come true! Please come to the Midwest… WE ARE READY!!
Take care!
April 7th, 2008 at 6:21 am
A simple thank you does not even express my appreciation for you guys coming back together. You seriously couldn’t have had better timing. Just when I needed a “pick up” from my hectic life as a newly single Mom….BAM….you guys showed up again, and brought me back to a time when things were much more “laid back”, and I realized that no matter how busy, and stressful things get, there are always dreams!
=)
Once again,
Thank You from the bottom of my heart!
April 7th, 2008 at 6:22 am
Danny, I can’t tell you how great it is to see you guys together again. It’s so weird, but it feels like a family reunion. My sister (and our mother!) and I are just beaming with excitement… our husbands and kids are laughing at us — but this is something I want to share with my daughter. You guys brought us so much joy back then, and we look forward to more good times with you to come. Thank you!!! Karen ( :

I just want to say thank you to you and the whole group…for letting me get the experience to see you guys for the first time since being a fan since 1989 (I grew up in Northern Canada)…but I will!!!! I felt like a teenager again on Friday when I woke up at 5AM to watch you guys on the tv (with a pot of coffee of course and hoping my 3 yr old wouldn’t wake up until later)…
Can’t wait to see what other surprises are in store for not only us fans, but for you guys as a group…we really did miss you!!!!
Thanks again,
Shauna
April 7th, 2008 at 6:26 am
Thankyou Danny for sharing your thoughts.
I wish you guys all the best with the reunion, I hope it is what you truly want it to be.
I look forward to hearing the new song by you guys. By the way, I love your latest album too.

Danny,
Thank you so much for the message. You and the rest of the guys were a huge part of my pre-teen and early teen life. I have so many fond memories of seeing you guys in concert with my best friends and all of the late nights that we spent listening to your music and dreaming about how someday we would be “our” favorite New Kids wife. LOL!!! Now we are all grown up with kids of our own and we get to make new memories with those same friends and even some new memories with our own children. My 9 year old daughter loves your music and thinks that Mommy is silly because I am acting like a giggly school girl again because I am looking at all my old memorabilia and talking with my friends about how great it will be to see you in concert again. Seeing you guys together again has made me feel young and makes my heart flutter. Can’t wait to hear more of the new music and hope to see you in concert this fall.
Loving you always and forever,
Ang

Hi Danny (et al)
We are so blessed to have you back! As others have said, we have been waiting a long time for this. Your fans never went away, we have always been here.
You have all managed to already make each and every one of your fans feel loved just by taking the time to do this the “right” way. Many others that have reunited have come across as just wanting to make a quick buck. You guys are doing such a great job with this reunion. I am really happy to see that you all have put a great deal of thought into how you wanted to approach a “comeback”. Very well done. Very classy.
I look forward to all of the excitement that is yet to come.
Keep Keepin on…

PLEASE come to Singapore again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really feel terrible about leaving Massachusetts just a few months ago!! im actually in tears right now!!!! if i had the chance, i’d fly back to see you guys in concert but i cant and right now, i can only pray you guys will visit sunny tropical singapore soon!
April 7th, 2008 at 6:59 am
Words can’t explain the support and memorable moments your music provided to your fans. The funny thing is for years your fans were mocked for being part of what the media and the general public were trying to dismiss as a joke. I guess we are all now sitting back watching their jaws drop as they realize that the bond that was created between NKOTB and it’s fan base was something so special that it has yet to be replicated with any other musician. Thanks for givig us the oppurtunity to be ourselves again. You helped us come into our own in our teenage years and now that we are all practically women in our thirtys that have gone through life and defined ourselves, we now have to oppurtunity to enjoy you again with a whole new perspective. Better yet, we now get to share this with our kids…what a treat!
Hope to see you when you come back down to Miami…FLorida’s waiting!
Best,
Jen

Take care and thanks again.

Well, Danny, we the fans feel like we have won the lottery twice!! I may be 37, and a wife, a mom, and have a career, but, right now, I’m like a giddy teenager again!! I cannot wait to hear the new music. I have been listening to the songs from back n the day and I am singing as loud as ever (and, yes, still doing the moves-after I finally remembered how to do them-esp. “The Right Stuff” ’sidekick’-let’s just say I am glad I was home alone at that time…LOL). I CANNOT WAIT 4 the tour!!! My 9 yr. old dtr. wants 2 join me as well-WOO HOO, I’ve turned my dtr. n 2 a “Blockhead”!! ;0)
My latter teenage years were not very bright 4 me, and NKOTB turned it all around. The FAB FIVE will always have a special place n my heart. I will be loving u all 4 ever!! Thanx 4 loving ur fans 4 ever!!

Thank you for the blog.
I really hope that everything turns out great. I’m sure it will, you are some of the rare talent left in this world and hopefully people will give that talent a chance and not walk past it based on what the media or anyone says. As for your kids…I hope they enjoy whats about to come and don’t mind the fact that “POPS” is going to be getting a lot more attention from the girlies. LOL.
Can’t wiat to see you guys and have a new album in my hands.
Peace.

I second the best birthday present. My 30th birthday is tomorrow, and as much as I hoped a reunion would happen–I wasn’t so sure, but I’m always optimistic–when the red curtain opened, I felt the magic of my first concert again, Magic Summer Tour in 1990. Thank you for reuniting, Danny, Joe, John, Jordan, and Donnie– you looked great on The Today Show! I can’t wait until a South Florida visit!!!

I have to say that after that dinner in 2006 when you were here in the UK I never thought I’d see the day you guys got back together but of course I’m absolutely thrilled you have! The days when NKOTB were together were some of the happiest of my life and to see you all back together again is a wonderful experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am extremely ecstatic that you guys have gotten back together. This is something that I have been waiting for. When you guys left us we felt like there was no warning. We felt lost when that happened.
I have been a fan since I was 15yrs old! I am now 33 and will always have you guys near and dear to my heart! I hope you get to come to Florida (Orlando, daytona). I am formerly a new yorker but have been here for 5 years please tell me you guys will stop here and see us! I will always love you! and Thank you!

Hey, Danny!
It is so exciting to be here for this reunion! We have all wanted this to happen for so long, but weren’t sure if it was going to. I can now share with my much younger siblings and with my own child the fun and excitement of your music! Since Thursday we fans have been connecting with one another and all of us are in awe of what is happening. We are blessed to share in this with you.
Thank you for all the hard work!

Danny,
We’re all feeling very blessed with the news. A good friend was diagnosed with breast cancer in January, and since then, I have been really counting my blessings. I can proudly add the reunion of NKOTB as a wonderful blessing! I always knew you 5 would reunite, so I kept all my posters, audio & VHS tapes, and memorabilia neatly packed away. Being a military spouse and moving frequently, I have to tell you how tough it is to ensure my items don’t get damaged with each move!
I’m sure your kids are very proud of you and will share deeper admiration and respect for you when they see you perform. Beautiful memories and deeper bonding will develop between you and your children through this I’m sure.
Thank you again Danny.
April 7th, 2008 at 9:04 am
Danny!
Thanks for everything you mean for us!
Thank you all you “kids” for this coming back!!
It means a lot!
Wonderful news .. I’ve wished this for so long, I just can’t believe its really happening!!!
LOVE YOU ALL!!

Hi Danny,
Thank you for kind words! Although my New Kids’ shrine (haha) has been down for the past 15 yrs, whenever I think Boston, I think Red Sox and New Kids!
It seems like you are a stand up guy and a great dad with your priorities in place! Isn’t it amazing how quickly things are put into perspective when you are blessed with kids! I am so happy that you guys are back, and know that your direction will be on your terms. I hope to hear some great music from great musicians (especially if you put in some old school R&B flavor in there!) Glad to see that you will be in New Jersey.
Welcome back!
April 7th, 2008 at 9:29 am
Danny,
It is so hard to believe that after all these years I can still be SO excited by this reunion! I’m a grown woman with a career and family but my heart still skipped a beat when I saw you guys on the Today show. So, Thank you, each of you, for deciding to take some time out of your lives to reunite and make all of us BlockHeads feel young once again!
Best of luck (not that you need it!)
Hilary

Danny,
Thank you so much for responding! We actually owe you guys so very much that we could never repay YOU. You all have given us so much enjoyment and helped with bonding so many friendships throughout our teenage years. You are now doing it again, we all, I feel safe to say, feel like we are teens again! Thank you so much!! I don’t know that you will truly know how much this really means to us!!
April 7th, 2008 at 9:41 am
Is it wrong for a 30-year-old mom to freak out about the prospect of seeing you guys again? Is so than I am SO SO WRONG.
Thanks for the opportunity to feel 13 again. I hope the ride will be as enjoyable for you as it will be for all of us. Just promise me you won’t bring back the cartoon!
We love you guys. I can’t wait to share you with my little girls.
April 7th, 2008 at 9:43 am
WOW! It’s an exciting rush of young memories. My cousins and I share so many mpasts revolving around you guys from the concert to making up dances to every single song. Of course not to mention the secret crush for each of you….LOL. Our kids have grown up in such different times. They have yet to experience the craze. I’m just not sure who will be more excited, the teenie boppers or us middle aged living on memory lane…LOL. I’m sure your children are proud to share this with you as I will be to share w/ my babies. This will be the 2nd ride of our lives. Like that 1st drop on the Texas Cyclone (houston)……breath taking.
April 7th, 2008 at 9:43 am
Danny,
I would like to first thank you for acknowledging the fans. I think I speak for most when I say that NKOTB played a BIG role in our childhood/teen years. It’s nice to be able to go back in time for a bit and remember those great times. Thank you guys for giving us that opportunity.
I wanted to say I’m sorry for the loss of your mom. I remember seeing her in pictures and at show’s. I took a look at your website in memory of her. It had me in tears, but you posted it as http://www.rememberbetty.com and it actually comes up as http://www.rememberbetty.org.
Good Luck to you and your family. Good Luck on the tour. NKOTB RULE!!!!

April 7th, 2008 at 10:24 am
What’s great to me is I feel like i’m 13 again. And i’m sure i’m not the only one who’s parents couldn’t afford for them to go to a concert. And i’m so excited cause i’m grown now, and i can afford all on my own to go. I am SO excited about this. And it’s great we can all share in this, and see we’re not the only ones who have been longing for this. It’s like a reconnection to my youth. And that was a great time. I’m hoping to be able to take my 6 year old daughter to see you guys…..I’m so glad you’ve done this. And i wish you all the best.
April 7th, 2008 at 10:24 am

April 7th, 2008 at 10:37 am
This is something we fans will never forget. It’s great to know you’re enjoying this too, and it’s not just WORK. Maybe your kids will recognize how cool their father is, and how lucky they are…..but the cool factor will probably wear off the second you tell them “no” to something, then you’ll just be “Pops” again. My 10 yr old son didn’t understand my NKOTB obsession, till his ‘cool’ teacher and his wife went to see you in NYC Friday. Now I’m cool…and he’ll be with me for the 5/16 show in NYC.
April 7th, 2008 at 10:42 am
Hi Danny,
I am so excited that you guys are back. Someone told me about a month or two ago that you were getting back together and i said no way. Then i was driving in my car and heard it on the radio. I got so excited. I never got to see you in concert before, but i’m definitely going to now. I’m 35 now, but i feel like a teenager. Can’t wait to see you guys.

I am a married 32 year old with a 2 year old and another one on the way -due in September. I am originally from Ohio but now live outside of Charleston, SC. I have MANY wonderful memories of NKOTB from spending the night outside SEARS with my mom for concert tickets, to being carried away at the Clark County Fair due to dehydration (Jordan waved to me by the way!) I HONESTLY still have my New Kids posters up in my room at my parents house. I won’t let them take them down. How funny is that! I need to take a picture and submit it to the NKOTB website. I am sooo excited you guys are back!
NKOTB Forever!!!!
Love, Erica R.
April 7th, 2008 at 10:51 am
Hey Danny,
Make sure you make it to Philly and look me up! Can’t wait to hear to new music…my little girls are now fans as I’ve been playing (even since before the reunion announcement) all of the old New Kids songs for them.
Peace, congrats and hope to see you all soon!
April 7th, 2008 at 11:04 am
This reunion and hype is bittersweet. Sweet because it takes me back to my yough, and bitter because of the memories with my sister (RIP). However, is so great to feel like a kid again, I always say you get old when you act old. So with that said, ROCK ON NKOTB, glad to have you guys back!
April 7th, 2008 at 11:14 am

WOW…you guys are really back. I know you all are excited just as much or even more than we are. To be able to share this excitement and adventure with your children must be amazing. We all are so happy we get to enjoy your music and presence once again. I look forward to your concert this fall.

Danny,
Over the past few days, I’ve heard each of you say in your own way how blessed you are and how pleased you were to give us what we deserved. I want you to know that we deserve nothing more than what you’ve given us already. In fact, I would hope that you guys knew without a doubt that we’d be here, waiting, 100% behind you as soon as the reunion was announced. This relationship between you guys and the fans has always been about respect, and I think that has become evident over the past few days. We’re all the blessed ones. Times have changed and priorites have shifted for all of us…and yet, here we are…right where we started, ready to take this ride again. I can’t say that I ever thought this day would happen… but I am so very glad that it did.
April 7th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
Danny,
Thank you for the lovely message and your kind words to us fans. You guys reuniting means the world to us!
April 7th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
See!!!! There are quite a few of us here in TX that are praying to make the tour date venue list!!!
April 7th, 2008 at 12:09 pm
Danny, it’s so nice to know that you guys really appreciate us fans because as silly as this may sound, it’s really hard to be a fan when people judge you based on your music taste. I am constantly having to defend you guys and myself (i.e. MTV newsroom feud-we’re boycotting them. Period.) but that’s the easy part because the talent you guys have exhibited has made it simple. I am all too excited to see you guys next month in NY. I’ll be flying in from California. I’m not going to beg you guys to come to San Francisco because wherever you are, that’s where I’ll be. In the meantime between now and May 16th, I’ll be getting your backs!! Love you!
April 7th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
Hi Danny
Thank you for leaving such a wonderful blog. I have waited 14 years for this, I never went away and never gave up on you coming back and I love you all so much. I’ve been a fan since I was 14, nearly 15 and you got me through some bad times then and are doing the same now. It is just the best to have you back. Just make sure you come back to the UK! Please!
Love Rachel

I’m so excited that you and the guys are back! The thought of going to one of your concert’s brings back memories of when I was a teenager and I was sure you guys saw me in the crowd at your concert and thought I was the right stuff. I can just laugh because I had every tape you made, pins, shirts, you name it. I actually have your greatest hits CD in my car that I listen to on the way home from work. I’m so happy for all of you and how successful you have become on your own and together. I hope I get the opportunity to go to one of your concerts! I can’t wait to hear your new music. Take care and have fun with it!

Hey Danny - Thanks for the message. It sounds crazy to say “I’ve been a fan for 20 years” but it’s true. Where did the time go? I’m so glad you guys are back together and that your children/significant others will get to share in “the madness.”
(My hubby and kids don’t quite get what I’m so excited about!) Can’t wait to see your show and hear all the songs on the new album. Thank you for making a 34-year old married mom feel like a 16 year-old again!

We as fans owe you a debt of gratitude as well…thank you for caring enough about this to share your love of music so we can ALSO share our love of your music….and remember things as they were, a simpler place and time…May God bless you and your children….one never knows how much of a blessing they are until one has ‘em. “Pops” is a superstar who has lots to be proud of, you’ve accomplished things, that no matter how much money you earn, it can never equal the happiness you and “the guys” have given us…thank you for all you do Danny…God bless ya!

Danny,
I was so excited to hear that you guys are back! It took me back to my preteen years, & going to your concerts! Funny thing is my husband was just giving me grief for putting the NKOTB music on my ipod! I love the songs then and can’t wait for the new stuff. I liked the clip that was played on the Today show; and am extremely anxious to hear the new stuff!

I am so excited you are all finally back. Now how about another concert in Boston besides the Kiss concert. Its impossible to get tickets to the Kiss concert. I think that since Bon Jovi dropped out of the Fenway concert, you guys should take there place!!!!!!!
April 7th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Danny,
What a thrill! From a nine-year-old girl waiting for your tour bus outside your hotel in the pouring rain for a glance at you -hoping I could be your “Favorite Girl, to now a married mommy with all of life’s demands…..it’s a true thrill! Never thought this reunion would really happen, but the time has finally come! And with the same anticipation and giddy excitement of a nine-year-old girl, I’m happy to say WELCOME BACK! To all the New Kids, thank you for all the joy and fun you bring to our lives!!!
Can’t wait to see you in Cleveland!
Love,

Danny,
I have always been a NKOTB fan (albeit a “closet” fan for a few years)
and was very excited to hear that the band was getting back together.
I look forward to your new album and hope that you have great success.
I did read about your loss and wanted to tell you that you have been in
in my prayers ever since. It’s hard to lose someone so close and I know
that she was very important to you. The love of your fans is nothing
in comparison but it’s all that we have.
Rock on!
April 7th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
Hi Danny,
welcome back
I knew, i knew, i knew it
For all these years I have been secretly hoping for you guys to come back and here you are!!! I am one of those millions of women who were absolutely madly in love with you all those years ago (and maybe secretly still am a little bit :-)). My bedroom walls were covered in your posters, forcing my dad to make portrets of you for my birthday, waiting in front of the Hilton hotel in Rotterdam for 2 days just to catch a little glimpse of you (while doing this, a car almost bumped in to me and you even commented on that on a tv show in Holland :-)), my poor sister had to wait there with me, because I was still a bit too young to be there on my own, your bodyguard at that time (Biscuit) taking us for lunch into Burger King (yes, yes, yes) etc.etc. You were all a part of my teenage years and I have always found it hard to come to terms with it that that part of my life was history……. But nooooooooooo, YOU ARE BACK and I can’t wait to see you all again. And you know what, I would stand in front of that hotel again if I had to, just to relive those feelings all over again.
There is only one tiny thing I truly hope for and that is that you would come and visit Prague as you have never been on tour here before. I have seen you perform live in Holland 2 times(since then I have got problems with my voice from all the screaming, but who cares :-)), but I know that there are many many fans in the Czech Republic as well who would love to see you!!
Danny, take care and I am so, so happy that you are back!!
Love to you all and hope to see you all very soon!!!!
All my love Marenka x x x x

Wow! This internet thing is GREAT this time around! We are so happy that
It’s nice to have ya’ll back. Us moms
this is REALLY happening! Ya’ll are truly doing something special for us
fans. Ya know, it’s like you guys kind of went your own way. We were
starting high school (most of us) so we got distracted by “tangible”
boys and went our own way! Well some of us…all I cared about was
basketball! Anyway, we never forgot the special memories you guys gave us.
You 5 guys shared something special, but SO DID THE FANS! We experienced
something most FANS of other groups never did. So words can not express
how truly PROUD we are of all 5 of you. The love and support we have for
you will never die! And MY WORD…you guys are lookin’so good. You’re
doin’ it the right way! It’s amazing what can happen over 14 years.
You “boys” have grown up, but so HAVE WE! ha ha We don’t rock the tight
roll anymore–we rock the heels!
get a little break to be “giddy” again and just have some FUN. I love it
and we love you! I hope God continues to bless each one of you and your
families. Flippin’ ROCK ON baby! See you in NYC! Tell Donnie I’m lovin’ his
“gun show”! He’s smokin’~
God Bless,
Kristi ~

You guys ROCK! You don’t have to repay us, I agree, BUT this is the PERFECT way to do it! Hi Danny,
Thank you for your kind words!
Welcome back!!!
April 7th, 2008 at 3:18 pm

Thank You Danny! This blog was so thoughtful! Can’t believe you’re known as “pops” and you’ve got a 16 yr old?! Still seems like just yesterday! THANK you so much being a part of this reunion and making many, many dreams come true! It wouldn’t be the same without you! A few years ago, I discovered your foundation for your mom and it is a wonderful memoriam. It made me have even greater respect and admiration for you. My dad has leukemia and it’s been tough, but you guys have managed to put a HUGE smile on myself ever since the rumor news! THANKS FoR COMING BACK! We fans will make it worth your while!

April 7th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
Hi Danny,
We are the ones who are being blessed by your comeback. This is something I have dreamed of for 14 years. I cried when you broke up and I cried watching you on the Today show even though I had heard the rumors. I am thrilled to hear how excited your kids are. I am 30 now and have a 4 year old who knows all the words the The Right Stuff. I am traing him up right. My husband has even agreed to take me to the concert. Please come to Atlanta Please Please!!! Thank ypu again for blessing the world with your music. The samples I have heard from the new album are fantastic. I can’t wait to hear more.
Love, Kendra
April 7th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
I have to admit over the last 17 years I was heart broken to see the NKOTB step down from the scene. I have never forgotten you guys and most importantly never fell out of love. Everyone looks as good now as you did then.
However Danny, you get the most improved award from me, there is something in your eyes that stand out above the rest. I am so excited about the tour and seeing you perform on May 16th. I will be there the night before sitting along the guard rails waiting for the performance of a life time!!!
I’ll be the crazy screaming blonde hold the fabric posters!!!

I feel we’re blessed, those of us fans, to see you back. I’m looking forward to the new album. I’m usually a Itunes freak, but I’ll make an exception for this album. Maybe one day, I’ll have your autographs on it! I am so happy to hear how this process has been a blessing for you, too!!!!!
Is there an address for us fans to send SASEs to get autographs???? I’ve gotten a few like Matthew Maconahey (yes I have too much time on my hands). If so, could you post it somewhere on the site??? Thank you…
So happy you’re back…it’s brought a renewed joy in my life (okay that was a bit cheesy but serious)!
Blessings~

April 7th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
Hi Danny! We are all very excited about the reunion. The 5 of you were such a big part of all of our lives, it’s like an old friend you lost contact with over the years and finally found again. I love your music on your myspace page. Can’t wait to see you all!

Hi Danny! Thanks for the great post! It means the world to us fans that you guys keep saying how much you are doing this for the fans. It just brings tears to my eyes knowing that there are still artists and celebrities that acknowledge their fans. Especially NK fans for dealing with what we do in the general public..lol
We love you guys and thank you for coming back! Can’t wait to hear the rest of the new material. Can’t wait to see ya in Chicago!
Love you all!!
Denise
April 7th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Such a sweet entry. I hope this is reunion is a wonderful experience for all of you.
I wasn’t going to comment, but after I went to your Mom’s site I just had to say it is a beautiful tribute to her life. You have quite a way with words and your love for your mother is inspiring.
Thanks for the memories - old & new! NKOTB lives on!
April 7th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Danny,
Thank you for agreeing to do this reunion! It is such perfect timing for many of your fans!! A lot of us, like me, are in our late 20,s to mid 30’s..and just starting out with marriages, children of our own…mortgages…etc…It’s so nice and refreshing to be reminded of our younger years when we had less responsibilities, and totally lived for NKOTB!! What a nice surprise and a breath of fresh air! It is such wonderful timing for many of us!
As I said to Joey in his blog, I and my friends have gone from young teenagers screaming for you at your concerts…to now mature 30 years old Mommy’s and Wives, who will be once again screaming for NKOTB! There is something about all 5 of you together that is and has always been just RIGHT! It is just awesome to be able to be entertained by you talented guys all together again!
I look forward to your CD and I hope you come to the upstate NY area!! All my support, and many blessings….Lexi
April 7th, 2008 at 5:00 pm
Danny!!! Well all I can say is I think it’s great you guys are back.. I have to admit, yes I am a 34 happily married mother of 2 but when I heard you guys were coming back i felt 15 again!! It is silly how music affects people and I was so thankful I had you guy’s music during some crazy times in my life.. I can hear one of your old songs, i know what it is usually in one tune and right away it takes me back… But like I’m said I’m grown now and very happy with my life and just want to thank you guys for putting out the music then and can’t wait to hear what you got now!! Best of Luck to you guys, not that you need it, your NKOTB helloooo haha!! I can’t believe how excited I am and it’s not just me, I’m one of about 15 girls in my family and that’s all we are sending eachother on myspace is old school NKOTB stuff, so this is just great… May you and your families and all the guys continue to be blessed.. Thanks again!
April 7th, 2008 at 5:05 pm
I am so happy that we finally get to Hang out with the Kids again……. I mean you guys were the hottest things and you disappeared leaving the fans broken hearted
I am now 31 years old, engaged to be married and this could have been the best news since my engagement… I am looking forward to getting the girls together for NKOTB. Danny you guys always respected the fans. I moved here from Wales UK and had the honor of meeting Donnie, Joe and Jordan, now this gives me the chance to meet you and Jon… Ps I love your songs when is your album out…. HOT! HOT HOT!!!!!
PS HOW MUCH DO YOU GUYS CHARGE FOR DOING A SOLO SONG AT A WEDDING??? YES u have nutty fans, but guess what we are very loyal, it shows 14 years ;ater and we still come out in all weathers. see you at the Today show in May

Hey there…
I just wanted to let Danny and fans know he had a typo…
The website for his Mom is http://www.rememberbetty.org
not a .com
I went there..and Danny it is just beautiful. What a special, special tribute. She would be so so proud. As a mom myself, it brought tears to my eyes to see the love between you 2 in the photos…
Just a beautiful tribute. I urge everyone to go to the website…and donate.
Thanks for sharing Danny.

You feel like you’ve won the lottery twice?! Someone said ya’ll were all out and needed to earn some quick money!
j/k!
It’s amazing how much has changed since those days! My husband says at least now the fans are old enough to be wearing bras to toss up on stage…lol.
We had no internet back then so of course, we all sent fan mail the “old fashioned way”, now we just pop a paragraph out and press “Sumbit Comment”!
I’m so psyched about the group getting back together. NKOTB was such an integral part to my teen years…and my dreams. Wow, the money we spent on merchandise and magazines!
Can’t wait to get to a concert!
April 7th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
Hey Danny,
That was such a sweet post. I owe you all so much. If I hadn’t been for NKOTB I seriously don’t know where I would have ended up. It’s such a thrill and joy to enjoy your music, thrive and energy again. Except this time around I can truly enjoy your music as a leisurely escape LOL. I’m so honored and thankful that you all are doing this for all of us. I hope to meet you all one day and express my gratitude in person AND finally finally be able to see you all perform live on stage. Thanks again (any chance you’ll come to Orlando?)
Sue in Orlando, FL

Hey Danny….thanks so much for such a sweet message. I don’t even know where to begin. I have been ridiculousy excited the past few months only hearing about a possible reunion. After seeing you guys on Friday and confirming that it is official, you truly have made my dreams come true!!!! I have loved you guys from the early years and have continued to love you through all the ups and downs. I will be representing on May 16th and hopefully get to see you at the Z100 concert. Love you all!!

Danny,
Your mother’s foundation site is beyond beautiful. I have visited the site several time, it’s just emotional. I feel lucky as my Dad recently went through colon cancer, and is a survivor (knock on wood). Chemo and all that goes with it…he is truly my hero…it makes one realize how important the little moments are…to just go and sit beside him in his hospital bed, for hours just sitting and reading and small talking because he felt so weak. Every time my son and my Dad are together…they are two peas in a pod, it’s awesome.
I’m a big supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society. I have ran the local relay for several year…I came to the sad conclusion that I can’t this year because of a weekend Master’s course, but I am doing a mini-relay with “my kids” (I’m a teacher), and we are holding an auction with paintings that represent “love” or daffodils (the Cancer Society flower)…they and I are super excited.
Anyways, best of luck, super excited to catch you guys somewhere on tour. Saw you during the “Magic Summer Tour” and a solo JK show in NYC a few years ago…time for a little reunion with the Jr. High ladies.
Natalie
April 7th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
I FULLY agree about the website—made me cry,it was beautiful. I think a lot of us can agree with me that it feels like we knew her some– just from all the articles we read, interviews we watched and so on….you could see your strong bond with her.
Side note–you guys ROCK–and didnt have to repay us, but this is the PERFECT way to do just that
I NEVER thought you guys were gone for good—I mean afterall, you gotta show those other boy bands what’s up—whose bringing sexy back now? LMAO. This is the BEST thing since sliced bread–I can’t WAIT for the CD release, CLICK CLICK is HOTTTTTTTTT!! It’s like we all are long lost friends—you really added to my childhood memories in so many ways you have NO idea–thank you ALL for that(LOL–sounds kind of silly, childhood–time FLIES!) Biscuit may no longer be around, and “cheese” may not be my #1 nk’s nickname anymore…..but the age gap has certainly closed—LOL–which I think will make for a HOT CD Release/Tour for sure!!
We are READY in Phoenix,AZ. I saw you guys there in ‘90 and before that in Buffalo,NY (Niagara Falls, NY–hometown!)
I would LOVE them signed—we shall see! WELCOME BACK TO THE BLOCK FELLAS!
Anyway, I got some backstage pictures of you (DANNY) from the Phoenix show, and this is for you DANNY if you read these—I have one of just you w/ the megaphone and you’re wearing a jiffy condoms shirt! LOL. No joke. I got a few of Donnie too (of course!) sporting his bandanna and the tour busses and stage doors—a friend knew a phoenix stage crew–just couldn’t get me back-only camera
April 7th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
It’s funny….20 years ago, I went to camp (I was in 9th grade) and while I was there, met my best friend. We kept in touch, even when she and her family moved to Japan (her dad was a Marine). Soon afterwords, New Kids on the Block had songs on the radio and I was hooked. After they hit big in the USA, my friend wrote me a letter saying “I love this group called New Kids on the Block!” We bonded over the New Kids and we had our favorites (her’s was Donnie, mine, Danny). We learned the dances (I even tripped over my own two feet and landed head first into the couch!) and taped the videos & television talk shows & concerts.
This May will mark our 20th friendship-anniversary and ironically, the New Kids on the Block are coming back 20 years after their release of Hangin’ Tough. We’ve grown up, have full time jobs, etc. but the New Kids still make us smile and laugh like we’re 15 all over again.
Thank you for helping us relive those memories! It’s been awesome! And we promise to leave the dancing to the New Kids.
April 7th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
LMAO—SORRRRRRRRRRRRY for the repeated BLOG–earlier nothing showed up–now i have 2 w. some of the same stuff i said earlier–sorry
April 7th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Thank you for such a kind post. I think the fact we’ve stayed loyal to you guys all these years is a testament to just how amazing you are!
I hope and pray the album and everything you endeavor will be a tremendous success…you guys deserve it!
Blessings!
April 7th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
It is nice to see that not just did I grow up, but you guys grew up with your fans. I love the Click Click Click song. And believe me I can not wait for the Album. I was heartbroken when The New Kids On The Block just vanished.
I loved you guys, your additued and the way you make music then and I still do now……
Much love…..
April 7th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
Hi Danny. God Bless you and the kids. I’m sure they are very proud of you and will support you and be there for you throughout this journey in your life. I am super excited for you. Congratulations one more time and good luck to you and the “kids”.
Talk to you soon.
Your friend,
Lynette
April 7th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
First of all, let me just say that I am so excited about this reunion! Yes, we have all dreamt about you guys getting back together again one day! Thank you for making our dreams come true. It’s fun to feel like I’m in Jr. High all over again
I also just want to point out that the website for Betty Wood should be http://www.rememberbetty.org (not .com) What a beautiful tribute to your mother, Danny.
April 7th, 2008 at 7:40 pm
Danny, your mother’s site is absolutely beautiful. It made me cry. I lost my mom 10 yrs ago in March, not to breast cancer. My mom was such a big part of my New Kids days. She drove me and my friends around looking for the hotels you guys were staying in and actually snuck us on the service elevator to the floor you guys were staying on. The things mother’s will do for their children.
I know she would be as excited as all of us fans are that you guys are back together.
We must always remember the legacies and memories that they left to us. They are always watching over us and now they live on through our children.
My dad is winning his battle with colon cancer. When something like this comes in to our lives, we take a moment to reaize how precious our time is here on earth. We must never leave friends and family with bad words and always remember to tell them how much we love them.
Welcome back! We have missed all of you.
April 7th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
It’s funny that I went out just about a month or two to buy another copy of NKOTB cd, and now their back on the block yea. I can remember when I was 12yrs old how much I loved the New Kids on the block,it seems just like yesterday not 14 yrs ago that we last heard them together.I love all you guys but Joey and Jordan were the two that I like the most but dang Danny likes hott.I cant wait til you guys come to VA,Ohio,or Indiana cause men I’ll be there. I didnt get to go when I was younger but I’m going now, my daughter even wants to go with me shes only 6 and she loves you guys to. She likes Jordan. But anyways thanks for coming back out and helping alot of us still young at heart women relive our memories of all the good times we had listening to you.
Love always!!!!!

April 7th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
Wow I just visited the site for your mom! Beautiful! Very beautiful song!! She’s in Heaven smiling down on you! ((((hugs))))
April 7th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
This is great! I am a huge fan! I saw you guys on the Today show and you all look the same…I couldn’t believe it. At work today we were goofing around singing some old songs…Right Stuff, Hangin Tough, Please Don’t Go Girl…we had so much fun…we wanna see you guys in concert! We made a pact that we are all gonna go together if you guys get down here!
I think this is great! I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since I fell in love with you guys…
April 7th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
Danny, your blog post means a lot to all of us because it really shows that you “get” what it’s like for us fans. I’m one of those who has followed all of your solo careers (except Jon’s… how could I follow a real estate career? lol), and you are all such an incredible inspiration to me as a singer/songwriter. You’ve all grown exponentially in the years since you were together as a group. To see you put all that talent back into one explosive team is mind blowing. I hope the world finally gives you all the respect that you always deserved. We love you!!! Keep posting blogs, we love it!
April 7th, 2008 at 8:03 pm
I was so excited to see all five of you together on friday on the today show. You guys all look great and so polished. I have been waiting so long to hear that you guys are going to get back together that when I actually heard it I think I was put into a state of shock. I dont know if it shocks you that so many people are still such huge fans but it doesnt suprise me. You all are so talented and it was just a matter of time before you guys came back to WOW us again. I am looking forward to your new cd this summer. The one that I have in the cd player, yes I still listen to it almost everyday, is getting wore out. I AM SO EXCITED for the tour though. I never did get to see you guys live. even though my cousin and I begged our parents to take us. We dont have to beg anymore. We are 30 years old and willing drive anywhere we have to. Thank you so much for all of the kind things that you said to your fans and we can’t wait to see you guys in CA.
love you guys,
Lisa
April 7th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
Our kids….yes, it will be so fun to share all of this with our children! My daughter is 12, same age I was when I got into NKOTB…so she wants to know all about NKOTB too! She’s met Jordan, but wants to meet the rest of you! I am so proud to give back to y’all too…to pass on NKOTB to another generation! I feel like this go round will be more personal….getting blogs from you….and not a face in a crowd of 50K! My obsession lives on….
April 7th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
This is crazy.
In a good way though! It’s great to see that I wasn’t the only fan who was still singing along to you guys in my car and teaching my kids the “Right Stuff” and “Hanging Tough” dances
This is fabulous and thank you guys for getting together and making this all happen!
April 7th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
I’m a 30 year old mom, and when I think about going to an NKOTB concert I imagine I will scream like a 13 year old girl. Once a block head, always a block head. I don’t think my husband will allow me to plaster our bedroom with NKOTB posters though, so I guess some things do change, a little.
April 7th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Danny, As many before me have already said we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for you guys returning to give us some more your great talent. I have hoped this time would come and knew it would eventually, I never gave up hope. I know many of us have basically shared the same story, but it is truly amazing our your music has had the same effect on so many people around the world. I feel as though there is a part of me who is 16 years of age again, it is almost crazy how excited I am about this reunion. I have to say that I took a trip to Boston and was able to meet everyone except for Jon, and to this day those are the MOST memorable memories of my life. Ironically I had recently taken my pics of you guys to work not too long ago, and now you guys are all over the news again. Talk about putting things out in the universe… guess the power of attraction really does work
Any how I am looking forward to hearing all the new music, and I am already planning to attend some concerts just awaiting to hear the concert dates. In the mean time take care!
Forever a Fan,
Amy
April 7th, 2008 at 9:27 pm
You have always been my favorite. I have been waiting for you guys to come back since forever. My daughter now is listening to your music and like it. I love being able to share this with her. Cant wait until the new album comes out and I will be checking on the Tour. You have to come to OREGON…You just have to. The last time you guys came I wasnt old enough to go to concerts, now I am….lol
April 7th, 2008 at 9:28 pm

Let’s try it again, guys!
I wrote about this reunion on my blog (http://hitnarede.com/?p=74 in portuguese,of course. I’m brazillian).
I’ve got to confess: first I thought “NKOTB Reunion” a crazyness, but now, I can’t wait to see it again. I was 14 years-old when I saw you for the first time. Now, I’m 32 and I’m almost a journalist…
