I feel really stupid, but you just got me crying when listening to Summertime.
I obviously got the sub message to the fans straight away, but it suddenly hit me badly when listening to the song for the 20th times at least in two days:
‘Hey girl don’t you know I miss it

Now I’m here and I can’t stop

I personnaly always thought you would eventually get back together. Last November I got a hint when surfing the net; someone who had actually met you at the time said you were recording altogether, and since then I’ve been waiting impatiently for the reunion announcement. My partner thinks I’ve gone completely coocoo with you, but nevermind! I’ve been a fan since FTM, and never stopped loving you since then; nostalgia has nothing to do with me being exited by the reunion. That’s just pure loyalty that brought me back to you. I don’t feel like I’m thirteen again. I feel like a grown up who’s been loyal over the years, that’s all. And luckily, my loyalty has paid off

By the way: When are you coming to Europe? You HAVE to come to the UK and FRANCE, please!!! (please, please, please!!!!!!). I’ve never seen you in concert and it would be a dream come true if you could come here. I can see you’re focusing on the US right now, but you’ve got fans ALL OVER THE WORLD, REMEMBER!!!

Ok, first, know that I’m a HUGE fan. But I love you guys enough to tell you when you aren’t bringin’ it like I know you can. Summertime is cute, but it reminds me of that LFO song that goes ‘Shooby doo-wop and Scooby snacks, I met a fly girl and I can’t relax!’ It’s too cheese-ball, and generated for a younger audience. The beat is great, the lyrics? Too young for you. Most of you have kids now, and I know they didn’t get delivered by the stork, so it’s ok to sing about sex now guys… your fans know all about it now.

While you’re voices sound great, and It’s great to hear you all together again, and of course I’m looking forward to the concert… I hope your album is going to hit harder than this. I heard Click, Click, Click. THAT is more of what I expected. Older, sexy, smooth, good beat. I still think that Face The Music is one of the best albums you guys ever did, and some of the songs on there would still be very playable today. I was hoping your new stuff would continue on that vibe, and reflect who you are today, as 5 successful men.

Your fans will always love you, no matter what you do, good or bad. Hell, we would pay to watch you read newspapers and scratch your nuts, but still. I know this comeback is more than just a treat for those of us who never outgrew you. I know that you want to be able to put a final chapter on the New Kids book, where you can all walk away from this experience with your heads held high.

Granted, there will always be the haters, and no matter how good the song is, because it came from New Kids on The Block, you aren’t going to get the shake you deserve. But I do think you have the chance here to really go above and beyond what the general public expects from you.

Summertime isn’t going to do it guys. I like the song, its cute. But I know you can do better! I wish you had released Click, Click, Click first. It’s a hot song!

That being said, I really can’t wait for the album. Hurry the eff up and get it out there! We’ve only been waiting 15 years!
