Are you ready?………..That’s the question we asked you. Am I ready?……..that’s the question I asked myself since talk of a reunion! These past week’s responses have me now saying “absolutely!” The warm reception given to us at the Today Show and the posts on NKOTB.com convinced me that this was truly the right choice. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought there would be so much love and support from all of you 20 years later. I am so grateful that I was able to have such an experience in my twenties. Now as I countdown to forty (Yikes!), hear we go again. I look forward to seeing the world again……….. this time through the eyes of a man! I am so excited and can’t wait to see you all in person. Anyway, I just wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for doing this for us fans! I’m sure you all had reservations about this reunion, and I just hope we make this worthwhile for you guys! I can’t express how much this reunion means to me and I’m sure there are people everywhere who will NEVER understand, but this is truly a dream come true! The 7 year old in me thought I missed this opportunity a long time ago, so you better believe I’ll be there every step of the way this time!

We’re still here… after all this time. And, we are sooooo grateful that you’ve all decided to start making music again. With most of us in our 30’s, you’ve given us the gift of feeling like teenagers again! Working, building families, we’re all grown up… but, I can honestly say that I’m as giddy as a school girl despite my grown up responsibilities!

You have no idea how good it feels to see you again. I’m 30 now, and to me this reunion feels like meeting old friends again, friends who have been a long time away and now are coming back. You being a part of this makes this feeling even better, because we have seen all the other guys sometimes during these past 15 years, but you weren’t there.

People used to always make fun of me for being a fan of the NKOTB, but they just don’t understand how awesome your guys are. I cannot believe my dreams are coming true and you guys are reuniting! I cannot wait for the new album! My dad bought me tickets when I was 11 years old to see your guys in Oakland, CA and it was the best experience!
I am much older now and happily married. My husband was a little freaked out by how excited I was watching you guys on the Today Show. As a serial channel changer he was amazed to see me not change the channel for two hours while awaiting your segment. Thank you so much for reuniting; it means the world to all of your loyal fans.

im so glad you guys are back this has been a long time in coming.we fans have dreamed about this day coming. i know that the decision to reunite was not easily made but i’m a fan like many others who are happy you guys are reuniting we knew it would happen just didnt know when .with it being the 20yr mark for hangin tough it makes it even more special.the best part is we can share this with more who are just finding out about you guys ,our kids if theyre interested etc
AND its more meaningful to most cuz its happening when we’re adults not some goofy teen ..

I tell ya, this reunion has had me so happy! i mean, usually winter time gets me depressed a little but with the rumor floating around, and talking to other fans like me on message boards, well, i just didn’t get down like i usually do. I am so glad you guys have decided to do this. I really never had any clue as to how many other peeps out there still carried a spark for “their” NKOTB. It has been such fun getting to know other gals like me who are reliving their youth through you guys. It must be amazing to feel all our love pouring out to ya’ll once again. Jonathan, I can’t believe how far you’ve come. Just a few short years ago, you stood shaking and near tears in front of Oprah’s studio audience, and you looked positively happy to be there on the Today Show in front of many, many more people. I’m very proud of you (like you car haha) and I hope that you continue to have such great control over your anxiety.
Not that you know this or anything, but watching you on Oprah helped me when I started having anxiety attacks just a few months later, when I lost my home and my job in one fell swoop. I know you helped others, too. I can’t wait to see you on tour, and I just hope I get to meet you. That is a dream 20 years in the making.

well guys. this is something I didn’t think would ever happen.. I’m gald for everyone. Boy did I want to be a new Kid. Came into a little later, around #step by step” time. My girls who are 8 and 10 still laugh at me when it comes on to this day. Saw you in Detriot, Donny missed the show, think he was hurt, wanna say he fell off the stage at concert before that? Was a great summer though. Coke was your sponsor for a magic summer. Funny how fast time flys now. John I ran into u a Jordan in grand Rapids last year, a radio station was putting on a date night. Your blog post is just as intelligent and sophisticated as I knew it would be. You’re still GQ!!! You have been missed so much, I don’t think you can even wrap your mind around how much people love you.
My partner and I both struggled with anxiety in the last year, and probably even before that without realizing what it was, so knowing that you went through it too brings me endless strength and inspiration. You’re a hero for a lot of us out here, so whenever you feel down, please remember that!

I can’t believe that you may actually read this! I’m in Calgary, AB and I’ve always been a MAJOR New Kids fan. I always had a real soft spot for you because you seemed to be a little bit on the shy side. Maybe you aren’t, but some of the other guys seem to have big personalities, so maybe you just seemed shy.
I can’t believe that it’s been almost 20 years, but there’s something really magical about the fact that you guys are getting back together. I was saying on some of the other blogs that you guys were there when we were going through our awkward teens and now here you are again as we head into another milestone - the 30’s!!
Ever since I heard, it’s weird, it’s like I’m okay with turning 30 now. That may sound crazy, but I was pretty freaked out before, you know… it just seems like you guys got together at just the right time - for all of us…. you guys and all your fans are ready for it.
I saw your concert in 1990 in Vancouver and I still have the ticket stub (it’s laminated! ha ha). I really hope that you end up in Calgary for a show, if not I’m prepared to fly wherever I need to, to support you guys. (And I’m a little afraid to fly!)
It’s hilarious looking back at the style now, but you guys were hot then, and you’ve all really just gotten much better looking with age. Men now… with women audiences. It’s amazing how fast times change.
You’ll always be a part of who I am, and you’ll always be a part of who I want to be. I’m a New Kids fan and I want to shout it from the rooftops!! You were my yesterday, and you’ll be a part o my tomorrow, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You are making so many people all over the world incredibly happy.

I have to second all the comments already posted above me and below me, for that matter!!! It’s really great to see and hear all the love that everyone still has for NKOTB. I couldn’t believe that all those women turned into screaming teens as soon as that curtain dropped on the TODAY show! I have to say that everyone at work can tell that I’ve been excited lately. LOL. My parents insisted I was too young to go to a concert the last time around (even though I’m only 4 years younger than Joe) but now that I’m an adult, I plan on being at a concert (hopefully in Maine) this time. That last comment doesn’t exactly sound very adult like but see what this announcement has done to us all! LMAO!! I hope you have an awesome ride through all this!

I am beyond thrilled that you guys are doing a reunion. I really didn’t think it was going to happen, and it upset me so much. I feel my mood and my spirit improving as a result of the announcement of the reunion. I am 32 years old and my life has felt like something was missing. You guys have to understand that WE LOVE YOU!!! I mean, us NKOTB fans are so dedicated to you, you were our worlds, we knew everything about you, and when you take that away there is a significant loss in our hearts. I mean, I am heartbroken when people make fun of you guys or say “Oh no one likes NKOTB anymore” and I KNOW it isn’t true…all that is just media hype. It’s like the media thinks they can tell us who to like and who not to. You guys have NOTHING on NSYNC or any of those other boy bands. You guys are #1 in my heart FOREVER! Please don’t go away! I would be soooo sad and depressed. I have just been empty and sad and I loved going to NKOTB concerts, watching for you guys on TV, checking for you in magazines, it’s been such a loss to not have you guys around. I will definitely be screaming like a 13 year old and I will be PROUD OF IT!

I don’t think this could have come at a better time! Everyone’s ready! My 10 year old daughter is fascinated. She thinks it’s funny that mom is actually excited about musicians. I am 36 yrs. old, and 20 yrs. (give or take!) later, the guys still have got the right stuff! I know the album which is long awaited and overdue as far as I’m concerned-will be fantastic and well worth the wait. Congrats to all the “fellas” on a beyond successful reunion so far, and I have no doubt the best is yet to come. Joey- you precious “leprechaun”! You said it well-long live the Block indeed. Congrats on your sweet baby boy too! As a fan I’m so proud to see the wonderful men you’ve all become. I’m so glad you’re all happy and healthy, and able to to do this. I just wanted to say “Thank You” for appearing on Oprah a few years back. It took a lot of courage for you to do her show, yet you inspired others to realize that they’re not alone & that there is help out there.
You do realize that 40 is the new 30?!
So in my case, I guess 35 (will be 36 in Nov.) is the new 25! Just remember that “laughter is the best medicine”!

Jon~The fans are definitely ready…I think I may have even a converted a few teenagers (my high school students who are going to request Click on our local radio station!!!). Thanks for posting Jonathan!! So great to hear from you!! I’m very, very STOKED to see and hear the 5 of you again. Only now, my dtr., who’s 9, has found my NKOTB videos, music, etc. and you have another fan and we are going to see you in concert together!! Experiencing NKOTB again and with my dtr. is just AMAZING and EXCITING!! I am SO looking forward to it!!
I’m not too far behind age wise, I will be 38 in August. Wow, how time flies!!But, all of this takes me back to a great time in my life and the new music makes me look forward to the future!! I’m excited both as a fan and for all of you!! CHEERS for the FAB FIVE!!

I am SO GLAD to hear from you! I just have to say that in my opinion, there is nothing “yikes” about you counting down to 40! You look AWESOME! You look awesome, better than ever! I’m so glad you are ready to see us again and it was sooo nice to meet you 2 years ago at Jordan’s Street Team party in Orlando you are such a sweetheart in person and love your smile is sooo adorable. To me you didnt seem all that shy in person omg I remember when you ask me where I was from lol I said Alabama and the way you say Alabama talking like me and yeah I know I sound country lol. Thank you and the guys for reuniting! I have to say when I first heard about the rumor of you guys getting back together, I was on high alert. Then to see it for myself on the Today show, it truly has made my year! You still look fantastic! The guys are still on thier A game! I am looking forward reliving the NKOTB memories and creating wonderful new ones with you guys. I can’t wait to hear your new upcoming album! It was awesome seeing you guys together again on the Today Show. Us loyal fans have been awaiting this reunion for so long and are so grateful for it! I absolutely cannot wait for the new album and to hear of the tour dates cause, rest assured, I will be fighting for tickets, just like I did back in the 90s! I am extremely glad to hear you say that you share in the excitement of the long awaited reunion! I was just talking to a friend of mine on the phone last night and we were discusssing just exactly the impact you and the rest of guys have had on our lives. It may sound a little ridiculous, but I must tell you that, I have made a life long friend through our connection of NKOTB. This particular friend of mine and I were very fortunate to take a trip to Boston back in 1992′ish and we had the time of our lives. Nothing has compared to that trip to date. The only bad thing about that trip was that we were not lucky enough to meet you. We did however have the pleasure of meeting all the other guys. I still look over the pictures with great fondness of all our memories. I hope that this time around I will get the chance to meet you as well. Until then best of wishes….much love….and you will be in my thoughts! Truly your Number ONE Fan!

I know this is going to sound tacky, but I don’t care.
I am so happy about this reunion! You have been my favorite since the very beginning. I’m almost 35 and the morning of the Today Show, I felt like I was 16yrs. old again. But I have to admit, I was actually a little more giddy that morning, than I was 20 yrs. ago.
I have played your music during all these years, and particularly a lot during the past couple of weeks. My sons are rolling their eyes every time they hear it. It’s too cute, but they know how much I love New Kids and especially you. Luckily my husband doesn’t get jealous and has been laughing at me since the Today Show.
You guys are the greatest and I can’t wait to see you in concert. Thank you so much for the reunion, you will be wonderful, just like always.

Hey Jonathan! Great to hear from you! It’s been a *cough* a while. You look so awesome so don’t worry about turning 40… age has done you wonders hon! Also I am gonna jump on the mental health bandwagon here and say thank you for explaining to us about your anxiety disorder and your struggles with it. I learned in my 20’s that I too have panic attacks (I am 33 now)… and not to make you think about it and make things worse for you (I know how that is) I know I will be able to attend a show as I know large crowds is my biggest trigger, but… if you can do it so can I. Thank you for giving me the strength to move on in life and not let such trivial things hold me back.

I have to tell you, when I saw the “reunion” story on People.com in January, my first thought was, I hope Jonathan is a part of this. I cannot tell you how much it means to us fans to see the 5 of you together again. I’m blown away by the new music and how well the 5 of you have “grown”
But the best thing about this reunion, is all the fans who never got to go to a New Kids concert, now have a chance! My brother was 9 years old when I went to a Magic Summer concert in Costa Mesa, CA and he didn’t get to go 
18 years later, he calls me in January, yelling “I’m going to a New Kids concert!!!”

I’m 20 years old, and I was obviously too young at the time when you guys were really popular. Its only in recent years, which I really got to hear the songs you guys made, and they were truly amazing songs. I’m really disappointed with the music scene now days, and the fact that you guys are coming back- it just makes things sooo much better!

You guys were my first love (in that crazed twelve-year-old plaster your room with posters and buy all available merchandise with your parents’ money kind of way), and I was SO VERY EXCITED to hear about the reunion. I was on my third week of being bedridden with the North American Zombie Flu (actual medical term), when I received roughly a frillion (actual mathematical term) emails from friends and acquaintances letting me know that you guys might be getting back together. Unfortunately that news didn’t have healing powers, but I think that my automatic transformation from 30 year-old to 12 year-old sped my recovery along quite a bit.
I’m so glad you decided to do this - NKOTB literally comprises 90% of my best childhood memories. Thank you for the nostalgic trip back, and thanks in advance for the new stuff! Welcome back!

I saw your interview with Oprah for the first time a couple of days ago. My heart sank, seeing you so nervous. I just wanted to cry for all that you’ve been through. I feel bad for never realizing the anxiety problems you were dealing with, I just thought you were the shy quiet one. I can’t imagine what it must of felt like to perform night after night for us. Let me just tell you THANK YOU for sticking with it!
You have always been my favorite “kid” and now to see you as a grown “man”. What more is there to say besides…..WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I have been none stop smiling since April 4th when I heard about the reunion. My cheeks are actually starting to hurt :), but it’s a good thing.

Hearing that YOU are ready for this reunion make me even happier! I prayed and hope that things would be well for you, not to mention many prayers for this reunion to happen. Seeing you and your brother on Oprah, being so brave about your affliction was very inspiring. As a Canadian french horn player has constantly said….”NO FEAR!!”
I would worry about turning 40 (although I’m going half crazy turning 30 next Monday); you make it look positively awesome! As my twin says, act your shoe size! I look forward and hope y’all come on down to San Antonio or S. Texas for an awesome great time.

Unreal… I can’t believe the only way to get any kind of news “back in the day” was to wait 4 weeks for the next issue of Tiger Beat. Its bizarre but kind of fun to see all of this laid out on a website with blogs and videos. Where was this when I was thirteen?!?!

I really hope that all these bad ghosts from the past, that decided your way out from the NKOTB will remain in the past. You´re brave, you´re corageous and that´s why I´ve always admired you SO much, even after hearing bad things from *cough cough* fellow band memebers - I don´t care what they think because even though I don´t know you in person, your eyes speaks for yourself. You are now a man, actually you always were, but now you just have some extra strenght that will certainly make things work better and better for you.

So very good to see you posting and to hear that you are happy about this reunion. It makes the whole thing feel that much more special to me now, knowing how difficult this might be for you - and knowing that you are still behind it and jumping right back in. It is my hope that your fans - even though we are all much older now - will be able to show you guys even half the love and happiness that you showed us during our younger years.
I am 27 years old and hearing of the New Kids reunion was the best news I could have heard. You were my first-ever crush when I was 6-7 years old, and I followed your career with the New Kids til the very end. Not in my wildest dreams (esp after seeing Oprah, which I applaud you for having the courage to do, btw) did I ever think that I’d get the opportunity to see you all together again. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for coming back and for doing this. I look forward to seeing you guys when you bring it all back for us at The Today Show - and hopefully at shows after that.
